AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

Planet Denon
There was no turning back now, The Basilisk knew that by now. The pieces were on the board and in motion as the dark of night crept over the city of Planet Denon. A glimmering portrait of city life glowed through the dark, neon lights and shifting billboards cluttered the skyline. Blocking any hope one might see the stars as a cold. Worlds like this always felt like more of a prison, especially for the lesser fortunate among the population. A plea of the downtrodden she could relate to even if the couldn't empathize. Not anymore~

Toxic emerald eyes drifted over the sun as it sank into the depths of the horizon, blanketing the city in a coldness as the dark of night spread like a sickness. A deep, heavy breathing erupting from the filter of her respirator as she coughed lightly into it. The baggy, torn clothing wafted back and forth in the breeze as a trickle of rain splashed onto her. The coiling of dark clouds over the dreadful city bringing moisture to the air as drops of water collided with her person.

Rainfall had finally begun, a perfect cover for what was to proceed. Lifting a hand and pulling a sleeve up to observe the watch on her wrist the time tick, tick, ticked and abruptly a vibration rumbled on the inside of her coat. Reaching inside and removing a small communicator as it beeped audibly. Clicking her thumb against the button and holding the device to her ear to listen to who was on the otherside.

"We're in position, hit is a go on our end. Are you good?" The voice asked, Shego looking over the side of the skyscraper she occupied before giving a brief gesture with her head.

"More or less. Either way, when its done consider our business concluded, just give them a good fright and make it look good. I need them running and afraid~" Shego explained before adjusting the nozzles on her respirator to breathe easier in the suddenly cold air. "Don't call me again until the designated time, you have the number code~" She mused before clicking her communicator. Then clenching her grip tightly to crush the device and drop the remains off the side of the skyscraper.

It was faint, but moments passed and in the distance a earth rumbling explosion filled shook the streets below. A puff of black smoke erupting into the rainy air as alarms and gunfire erupted in the lower levels of the city.

The assault had finally begun, Shego having arranged a small team in order to hit a transport convoy that carried...sensitive data. Their instructions were to merely run interference and cause enough chaos to interrupt the convoy and force them into an uncomfortable position. And after several minutes when a massive flying transport whooshed on by her Shego had never removed her eyes from the watch.

"Not bad boys~" She mused at the ten minute response time. Denon Security never missed a beat. A enforcer team was quick to arrive, quelling the childish rebels and transferring the data from the original truck it was in and putting it onto the transport which then lifted into the air and took off to a different facility to secure the data.

Shego clicked her watch, starting a new timer. One of her legs went out over the empty space beyond the ledge as if stepping out into nothingness to fall into abyss.

"And here...we...go~" Shego whispered, her body leaning over heavily and falling off the edge and plummeting off the side of the skyscraper until suddenly, in a burst of emerald light a craft blasted towards her feet and magnetically attached itself to her legs. The glider changing its position slightly and suddenly propelling Shego into the air at breakneck speeds. The flaps of her coat fluttering behind her as she aimed the nose of the glider towards the now fleeing corporate vessel, adjusting the mask on her face and moving in quickly while dipping, diving and drifting between obstacles.

Phase two had been initiated, and the ball was now in her court.

Shego only hoped that nothing went wrong and no one she couldn't handle got in the way of the operation.

Today's run had been a solo mission for Hex into District 14, the Valentines district to meet with a darkwire cell their and run a few errands, and also to make a few more outside contacts. It had gone over pretty easily and now she was cruising along on her dancer board slurping from a smoothie, Melaroon, lemon and caf musing about the world. District 7 was still under heavy lockdown but the denizens of the tombs had taught the shadow runners how to get in and out undetected. But it still made profitable scores tricky, so here she was in Lovers Lane.

Her corpsec scanner built into her comm buzzed, something was going on? Her eyebrows raised an curiosity and a smile curled around her lips.

'...You think 14 would run a heist without inviting us?...'
"Maybe? Seems rude to me..."

She dropp3d forward to pick up speed and moved rapidly towards to location of corpsec activity. She saw the flash of green before she saw the target. It wasn't a shadow runner she was familiar with, but there were so many sects, who the feth knew? If she was Darkwire, she wasnt exposing her Darkwire digital credentials. Hex activated her cryptnet and attempted to airdrop connect into the fast moving woman. Her connection was heavily encrypted so would just come up as a scrambled ID, but if the woman had any network presence it should connect to her public line.

<<I trust this call isn't going to ruin my day? Who is this? Why do you have this number?>>**

Amazing, a connection! Hex thought. She spoke back in to her comm <<Heeeey! Let's hope not, I'm Ellie..>> An unknown operative, she was using the spare name. <<Airdropped you, nice board, what you hunting? Want some help?>>

Hex pulled along parallel to the other girl, moving at high speed and holding the edge of her board, jinking back and forth between support columns. Her long braids waved in the wind behind her, she was a striking visage of pink and blue compared to the other woman's green apparel. Hex looked her up and down trying to suss her out, narrowly missing taking her own head off on a low bridge. It would be apparent what Hex's skill set might be considering the way she confidently boarded with a rocket launcher on her back and all sorts of other weapons magnetised to her suit.

The Transport drifted further and further from her sight as the acceleration of her craft sent Shego squinting through her mask as rain crashed into her and the vessel began to dip and turn in order to shake it's tail. Having been detected rather quickly as she clicked her heel on a panel near her foot, triggering a boost that sent her completely barreling through the skies as she suddenly veered left and into a narrow passing between buildings.

"C'mon then!" She sneered, more to herself than anyone else as her eyes dilated to fine pins. Throwing her legs upward and slamming the surface of her glider against the side rails and grinding the vessel along the walls before then jumping from the guardrail and gaining height as she shot through the allyway and spat out the other side just over the escaping Transport Ship just in the nick of time, flipping her board upsidedown so she was dangling beneath it and reaching out and arm with what looked to be some kind of device in her hands. "Grrraaah!" She groaned, sticking the foreign object right on top of the ships haul before smacking into one of the wings after the incredibly reckless maneuver.

A gasp of air escaped her, wind leaving her lungs as she was then flung from her glider and sent crashing into a rooftop that was only a few yards below. Crashing into the ground and tumbling about violently before grinding to a long, painful slide right up the the edge of the other side. Gloved hands caught herself just before slipping off the side, her eyes staring down several stories to the dark streets below as a wheeze filled the air from her respirator. "Oh shhhhhhit, that hurts~" She whined before collapsing onto her side coughing violently into her re-breather. The damage from the crash keeping her down for a moment as the ship kept on flying into the distance.

A ring in her jacket made Shego practically roll her eyes. Of course, figuring it was those she had hired calling slightly early than required Shego pulled a spare communicator from her pocket and examined the ID only to realize it was a random caller.

Shego groaned in annoyance, answering it and holding it to her ear half expecting this to end badly.

But as fate would have it, the caller appeared to be a like minded individual.

A grin tugged at the corners of Shegos lips. Motivating her to pick herself up and shakily stand back to her feet, limping back towards the edge where her glider had self guided itself in order to return to its master. Shego stepped off the roof and back onto the board, leaning forward and flying back into the air.

"Perhaps, is it going to cost me?" Shego replied before picking up speed again to catch up to the ship, only to have a blaster bolt zip right past her head, followed by another, then another. Shego turned her head over her shoulder only to see Corpo attack vessels hot on her tail, undoubtedly to protect their asset. "Hold that thought~" Shego growled, lowering her hand and throwing her legs to the side to quickly swap directions back and forth and maneuvering her way out of the firing path, leading them into yet another tight fitting pathway and ducking under structures and zipping over obstacles to lose them. One of the vessels crashing violently into a billboard just as Shego had flown past it, the second enemy managing to maintain its aggressive path as Shego began shouting into the communicator. "On second thought i'll pay you whatever you want i need air support! Or a distraction, which can you provide? Optimally i need that transport ship either stalled or down on the ground!" She explained quickly before lifting her board to let herself climb upward towards the skies as the ship remained on her tail.

She shut off the functionality of her glider, stalling in the air as Shego turned her body and positioned herself so she could look back down towards the city surface while the enemy ship barreled up towards her.

"Try this on for size boys~" Shego whispered, entering a spiral-like motion and twisting her body to the side and just barely striking the ship, instead sticking a glass vial of toxic green liquid right onto the ship which caused the vial glass to break, exposing the metal hull to a powerful corrosive material. Eating away at the metal on a molecular level and causing the ship to begin melting away piece by piece.

It did not take long for the enemy ship to begin having system failures and lose control, veering off and crashing into a building right through the windows which only caused a larger security response to the activity. Shego nosediving back towards the surface until she just nearly collided with the base streets, keeping herself low and checking a holomap of the Transports location after she had marked it with a beacon. Sticking to the base level of the city while moving through at blinding speeds.

"I'm uploading the ships course to you now! I'm on th-" Shego gasped when another security unit appeared in her path. "Damn it all! Activate Countermeasures!" She hissed, a opening on her glider opened and unleashed a barrage of micro-missiles that cleared the obstruction before her, Shego bursting from the smoke and fire moments later and her board scratching and skipping across the floor before Shego adjusted and began climbing in height and velocity. "Would be nice if they just rolled over wouldn't it?"

<<sounds fun, lets go!>> Hex signalled back before gaining more speed and heading for the transport, concentrating on her amulet portal opened nearby her, it took a tight turn to catch the portal but she vanished, reappearing hundreds of metres away, in the path of the corporate gunship but unseen to Shego Striga Shego Striga who might just assume the blue and pink girl had bailed. Hex for her part, grabbed the shuttle as it zoomed past and nearly dislocated her shoulder, but she was attached and managed tk scramble onto the back of the vehicle, slowly making her way to one of the engine pods. She needed to damage, not destroy, but Hex was harsly the measure of precision so it could go either way. As she chambered along she finally managed to get to the engine pod and fired up her omni-cutter to detach a panel, it was a quick cut, but it alerted the crew who shook the vehicle hard to try and dislodge the parasite.

Seconds later, and not a moment too soon as another gunship had pulled up along side her and was scouting something over a loud speaker, she was ready. One of her party poppers was inside the pod and set to blow. Hex let go....

The shuttle sped away and she dropped through the air sweating at the crew that dipped and fired a Web launcher at her, snaring the suspect and slowing to a hover to reel her in. They high fiver each other for their catch just as the noticed the streak of blue and pink ahead of them, Confetti on her shoulder.

"Bye bye boys..." she said to herself, blowing them apart before they could reach the weapons systems of the gunship. Simultaneously, the party popper detonated with a loud bang and Hex saw the shuttle engine pod on fire and the vehicle losing altitude. It was a controlled descent but would likely be an involuntary emergency landing on its one remaining engine. Hex reached down and casually deactivated the holoprojector making her previously trapped image duplicate vanish in to nothing. Before backflipping her board and heading for the shuttle landing site.

<<That do the trick greenie?>> she laughed into the comm.

'...That was fun...'
