  • Hazard suit - Excellent protection against chemical and biological contaminants. Similar protection from radiation, but this degrades over time. The fleximetal plates are a little less resistant to chemical damage than the rest of the suit, so those particular components are fractionally more vulnerable to chemical damage. In the short term this does not impact the safety of the user.
  • Ergonomic - Whilst heavier than originally intended and with thicker armour, it is still very comfortable and easy to move in.

  • Still not proper armour - Its combatn resistances are high, for a hazard suit. It will protect against a glancing blow or a hit to one of the thicker plate areas on the chest, but a the majority of the suit will not stop anything other than the lightest fire.
  • Degradading radiation protection - after a few minutes of High intensity radiation the protection will begin to weaken as the neuranium cells are broken down. Eventually the suit will no longer be suitable for use against radiation and in extreme cases other protection may be affected.

Hex has been using her favourite guarderma suit on multiple missions for darkwire and it is beginning to show its age, having to have been both self and manually repaired. Maybe it was time for an overhaul. The design of the suit allowed nano-bots to repair the suit based on the original design template. But what if that template was changed? That is what Hex and her friend Emily did, hacking in to their core and redesigning the suit. It took a few attempts and only worked one Hex realised she would have to feed the nano-bots new material for the plating layers, choosing fleximetal.

During this process, Hex also added a couple of extra items of her choosing that might come in handy.

The final item just needed some colouring and Hex finished it off with some enamel work on the right arm and shoulder, mimicking her distinctive tattoos. It would never be as tough as proper armour, but would provide environmental protection, and enough combat protection to keep the little glass cannon alive. Hex named the suit in honour of her favourite cocktail, the Neon Lady.

From original submission

"Has you looking good while keeping you feeling good"... the tagline for this suit's marketing somes it up.

It is an attractive, skin tight body suit that can either be worn alone or underneath other clothing to provide protection from a wide variety if hazards. It is this protection that makes it popular with field scientists, enabling to work in hazardous environments without the need for bulky bio-suits.

The only hazardous environmental protection that the suit does not provide fully is radiation. For a few minutes it will shield against High intensity radiation, allowing radiation sterilisation of the suit whilst being worn, but the Demron cells will begin to break down over time so a different suit would be needed for highly radioactive environments.

A key feature is the self repairing nature of the suit, small rips and tears will quickly patch themselves up using nanites that move material from supplies situated around the suit. This removes the need for painstaking examination of the suit before each away mission for tiny breaches.
