  • Structure Name:
    • Priddy General Engineering And Manufacturing Variable Condition Preparatory Facility-01
  • Classification: Private Training and Product Testing Facility
  • Location: Queyta
  • Affiliation: Niki Priddy, Priddy General Engineering And Manufacturing, Rimward Trade League
  • Size: Massive
  • Population: Sparsely Staffed for Maintenance, and Control Room Operation though the facility itself is Largely Automated
  • Accessibility:
    • While easily and readily visible from even low orbit, there are seldom few spots with which to actually make landfall without the threat of detection or being at the mercy of the security pylons and Hypervelocity Cannons. The facility is very obvious, even painted white, making it stand out even further against the red landscape around it.
  • Description:
    • An expansive conglomeration of smaller buildings surrounding a singular, large dome structure. All interconnected.

The Bubble
  • The centerpiece of the entire facility. The Bubble serves as the multifunction militia training facility grounds, with variable settings able to switch between a number of preset conditions such as urban environments, inclement weather, night conditions, low or zero gravity, high water, or even entirely submerged conditions.
  • Roughly spanning 4.83 kilometers across and 3.3 kilometers in total height, not including including the basement and sub-basement. Basement level contains the entry point for troop formations, while the sub-basement contains the entry point for heavy equipment via underground access tunnels are located. A large section of the dome roof can be opened to allow for air drop practice or material to be placed inside.
  • Simulated battlegrounds can range from urban environments, a myriad of landscapes, or even zero-g simulations against other biological Combatants. If required, HS-3 'Scion' Synthetic Factotum droids are available as Combatants using the Myrmidon Combat AI as the oversight system. Adorned in DS-201 'Hoplite' Light Combat Armour and wielding Viper-series Multi-Role Blaster Rifles to simulate a median combat group.
  • Jedi style Standardized Training Droids are also available to simulate different training circumstances as well. These droids are severely limited however in basic standards given the nature of the Companies nature. While useful, the training is largely limited to what most padawans or fledgling knights might consider useful aside from brushing up on the basics.
  • For underwater simulations, the X14-A Scylla-series Aquatic Battle Droid is available for such combat simulations.
    • Central Structure Based on Habitation Domes, as The Bubble is a self contained system capable of generating and maintaining a variety of environments for training purposes.
    • Climate Emulator's inside the Bubble allow for continued stable environment settings within the structure, tied to the many ducting systems from the Outcrop.
    • FasClean Atmospheric Reactive Damper's are laced into the Bubble to battle the buildup of carbon dioxide within the structure due to it's airtight sealing systems.
    • Biocrete is used to generate expansive combat area structures on the fly by means of the Bumblebee-series Engineering Droids.
    • Shadow-shields make the Bubble capable of emulating night time scenarios, or even void conditions.
    • Artificial Gravity Generators allow for lower gravity, or zero-g conditions to be emulated within the Bubble.
    • A dedicated DSS-02 Shield Generator conforms to the interior of the Bubble to keep the structure from sustaining interior damage during training sessions.
The Control Room
  • Positioned just beside the Bubble, the building provides the control systems for the entire facility, and features a majority of the automated security presence as many of the systems required to keep the facility operational are kept in the tower.
  • The Myrmidon Combat AI settings for general use are stationed inside the basement of the Control Room. Surrounded by EMP emitters in case of emergency and both are operated/enabled by the acting commander and onsite control personnel during training sessions.
  • The rooms below the Control Room feature dedicated med bays with Autodocs, Bacta Tanks, and Medical Droids on varying levels.
The Outcrop
  • While The Bubble serves as the centerpiece, additional outlying buildings are connected via large, independently sealed ducting. Whether pushing water into The Bubble for submerged training, generating a variety of atmospheric conditions, or simply keeping a generous flow of oxygen circulating, each building in The Outcrop serves its own function.
    • A dedicated Molecular Furnace connected via conveyors to the Bubble breakdown destroyed or deconstructed materials for reuse to cut down on the need for large orders to restock on supplies.
    • Moisture Vaporators dot the interior and exterior gathering of the Outcrop to offset purchasing additional water for the facility.
    • Hyrdo-reclamation Processors are tied into the Bubble, along with every ducting system tied to the bubble for efficient reclamation of stray moisture in the systems.
    • Collection Tanks are directly linked throughout the ducting systems for reclamation and distribution of Atmosphere Generator needs.
    • Several dedicated Atmosphere Generators take up the majority of The Outcrop structures, tied into the Bubble via ducting for specific environment training needs on demand.
    • A dedicated Scrubber Farm system rings the Bubble, making quick work of returning the Bubble to standard Atmospheric Status of typical Near-Humans.
    • A raised platform sits to the west side of the Outcrop, able to land frigates for personnel and equipment offloading directly into the lifts to be moved below ground.
The Corridors
  • Extensive caverns and tunnel networks have been dug out from beneath the facility to allow for the surface to remain undisturbed. A living area, mess hall, vehicle storage, and additional storage are largely positioned to the west side of the facility while the tunnels are spread out directly beneath the facility.
  • Underground living quarters allow for a battalion to be comfortably stationed here for extended durations, similarly positioned to the west side of the area of the facility more directly beneath the landing platform for quicker entry and exit while being connected via lifts and conveyors to the surface.
  • The entry and egress points to access the facility are located underground to avoid burying the ducting systems and equipment for ease of maintenance as required for operation of the Bubble. Turbolifts, automated walkways, and conveyors make for quicker travelling below ground.
  • The entirety of the facility has additional ground integrity via sunken columns of biocrete and Seigurium pillars given the below ground systems.
  • Several corridors to the east serve as storage areas for the droids, weapons, and materials that can be used in place of biological opponents in the Bubble.
Internal Geothermal Electric Turbine Reactor
  • The life blood of the facility. Housed beneath the facility in a live magma vein for the best potential energy exchange. This system feeds power to the entire facility.

Security Rating: High
Aside from the obvious points of security, proper Identification is required at all times as the droids that patrol the interior are unforgiving in their security patrols. A member of staff that has been present for any great number of years will be treated as a potential security threat and gunned down without mercy.

Proper clearances beyond the allotted walkways and corridors is required for safe travel. The patrolling droids functioning to keep anyone or anything from potentially being a hazard to both the facility and those using the facility as designated.

With the creeping presence of conflict in the Outer Rim becoming more apparent, Priddy General Engineering And Manufacturing along with its CEO devised a project for both their own uses, and those parties interested in the safety and security of the Outer Rim.

While the use of planets for training purposes has been the standard, or attempting to create the ideal training facility has been attempted, the minds behind the project delved into the matter with a fervent dedication to success. The initial schematics and planning centering on making the facility function more than making it accessible. With the idea of function being placed before utilization, the facility structure and layout was drafted and construction began.

Several issues arose quickly citing the need to keep many of the dedicated Atmospheric Generators and tertiary systems above ground for ease of access.

While not ideal, the thought of attempting to place the systems below ground and relying on more machinery to bring them up to the surface was met with sharp criticism as well as a detailed list of cons outweighing the pros of such design. Even with the notion of machinery not bringing them to surface level for maintenance removed, further thought of attempting any sort of heavy rework in a cramped space quickly stemmed the idea of keeping the systems below ground.

Instead they focused on keeping the systems appropriately spaced from the central structure in case of failures, such as leaks, damage sustained to the dedicated generators housed inside the atmosphere generators, or the collection systems.

With the above ground systems finally agreed upon, and ultimately constructed as a successful prototype, the issue now came from bringing the trainees into the facility and housing them.

Continued efforts to keep the Bubble's systems above ground had left very little room for anything topside. Able to squeeze in a landing pad for frigate sized vessels to deposit troops to a dedicated spot for entry, but unable to effectively put anything for housing or storage above ground, they instead took everything below ground.

Building down from the landing pad, Seigurium pillars further strengthened by Biocrete were driven down while excavation efforts opened massive tunnels beneath the western edge of the facility. A few cave ins from loose ground threatened several of the Outcrop buildings, and further pillars and supports were arranged to support the ground above.

While not visible to the naked eye, scans would reveal several mineral deposits below that only aided in the construction of the below ground facilities.

Allowing for quicker opening of areas as well as providing a relatively stable base for further support pillars to rest upon. The process of excavation and pillar placement continued for some time, wary of the possible harm to the above ground structures as tunnels were carved out to access the facility proper. While a majority of the designers considered the year long timeline to be entirely too long, a number of others within Priddy General Engineering And Manufacturing saw the benefits of the slow but steady progress of securely digging out the below ground systems, as many issues with a hasty process were projected to threaten the systems above ground.

The final steps in the underground building process were the storage areas, accessed only by the proper staff of PGEM and suppliers for the droids and equipment that came with Droid based Combat simulations. Automated walkways and conveyors being placed after several months of stability and stress tests were performed to thoroughly place a seal of approval on above ground simulated testing.

Stress testing of the different generators proved largely successful, with only limited loss across the systems due to distance, but nominal and within the projected standards given the need for safety in possible catastrophic failures.

Each generator pushed to just above red-line standards to test response standards of the automated failsafe in each system. The biggest test being the large simulated droid combat alongside the Myrmidon control artificial intelligence system. And only having the threaten it with an EMP bath once when it failed to adhere to commands during the closing procedures.

Once the internal systems had established a baseline, and a majority of the droids had been returned to functional status for active combat simulations, the facility was opened for proper use.
