with the Basilisk off the factory floor doing its job against starfighters well the team in the R&D department decided to work on a bomber next, and from their creative minds the Pegasus was created, the concept of the pegasus was to come in at high speeds, do a strafing run and get out. or even to circle its target, the team found during trials that if the bomber locked its face towards its target it could effectively "orbit" its target and unload against its target most times being able to outmaneuver the point defense turrets of the ship it was targeting. in order to fit enough maneuvering thrusters and subsystems, the ship does not come equipped with a hyperdrive and is instead reliant on an external source
