The galaxy stands on the precipice of an era-defining conflict as the Dark Empire emerges from the shadows, bringing with it a wave of fear and uncertainty that has not been felt in ages. This sudden threat has sent the Galactic Alliance into a scramble for solutions, with its leaders convening in the heart of the nation to deliberate on measures that once seemed inconceivable. The stakes could not be higher; the decisions made in these crucial moments will ripple across countless worlds, affecting the lives of billions. The air is thick with tension and the weight of impending decisions, as the Alliance faces a foe unlike any before.

In the face of such darkness, the Galactic Alliance finds itself at a crossroads. The traditional strategies and partnerships that have kept peace and order are now being questioned. Leaders, generals, and strategists gather in heated debates, proposing radical changes to military tactics, diplomatic relations, and espionage activities. There's a palpable sense of urgency, as time is a luxury the Alliance can no longer afford. The emergence of the Dark Empire has not only threatened their way of life but has also forced a reevaluation of what it means to stand united against a common enemy.

But despite the chaos and fear, a glimmer of hope persists among the defenders of the Galactic Alliance. The realization that this challenge could usher in a new era of cooperation and innovation sparks a fire within the hearts of those who stand against the darkness. The path ahead is fraught with danger and uncertainty, but it is also filled with the potential for unprecedented unity and strength. As the Galactic Alliance navigates these turbulent times, one thing becomes clear: the only way to triumph over evil is through the collective resilience and adaptability of its people. The battle against the Dark Empire will not only be a test of might but of the spirit and will of the entire galaxy.

CHANGING OF THE GUARD
Galactic Alliance Senators

Since its inception, the capital of the Galactic Alliance has epitomized the pinnacle of civilization. Nestled at the heart of the Galactic Core, Coruscant shines as a beacon of hope, justice, and unity for billions across the galaxy. The gleaming cityscape, stretching from the depths of the planet's core to the edge of the atmosphere, stands as a testament to the achievements of countless species working together in harmony. Coruscant is not just a capital; it's a symbol of what the Galactic Alliance aspires to be: diverse, strong, and prosperous. Yet, within the hallowed halls of the Senate chambers, a debate rages that could alter the course of history. The question at hand is monumental: should the capital of the Galactic Alliance be moved to a new world?

Working in conjunction with the Office of the Chancellor, GADF Command and the SIA have determined three potential candidates for receiving the heart of the Alliance: Fondor, a massive manufacturing hub with dozens of orbital shipyards; Brentaal IV, a historical foothold along the Hydian Way; and Eufornis Major, a bustling cosmopolitan world with stalwart infrastructure. As the debate unfolds, it's clear that whatever decision is reached, it will shape the future of the Galactic Alliance and its place in the galaxy. The weight of this moment is not lost on anyone within the Senate chambers, as they grapple with a decision that will reverberate through the stars for generations to come.

THE WILL OF THE FORCE
New Jedi Order

In the wake of the sacking of Tython, the New Jedi Order finds itself at a critical juncture, facing a threat that has not only destabilized their spiritual home but also exposed vulnerabilities within the Order. The Jedi Council has issued an urgent summons to all active members of the Order. This call to arms, reverberating through the Force, beckons Jedi from across the galaxy back to the heart of their order, the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. This assembly is not just a tactical response to a singular event but a profound gathering to deliberate the future path of the Jedi, both in philosophy and in physical location.

The decision to potentially relocate the headquarters of the New Jedi Order is not made lightly. Coruscant, with its deep historical ties to the Jedi, offers a symbolic bastion of justice and peace. However, the galaxy is vast, and the Force flows through countless worlds that could serve as a new sanctuary for the Order. The attack on Tython has underscored the necessity for adaptability and perhaps, a more discreet sanctuary from which to safeguard the light of the Force against the encroaching shadows. This gathering is an opportunity for the Jedi to unite, to share insights gleaned from their diverse experiences across the galaxy, and to forge a new directive in the face of emerging threats.

TRIAGE
GADF, Healers & Civilians

As the Core worlds brace themselves for the impending conflict, the atmosphere on Coruscant is a blend of determined resolution and anxious anticipation. The Galactic Alliance Defense Force (GADF), once scattered across the galaxy to maintain peace and order, now converges back on the galactic capital. Coruscant bustles as preparations are made. The GADF transport ships, acting as lifelines between the front lines and Coruscant, bring home the reality of the situation with their precious cargo of soldiers. These brave souls arrive in varying states, some bearing the scars of recent skirmishes while others are fresh and eager, yet all are united by a common thread of hope. This hope is not naïve but forged in the fires of adversity: that together, they can push back against the encroaching darkness of the Dark Empire.

In this trying time, the stories of these soldiers, from the grizzled veterans to the green recruits, weave a tapestry of resilience. Their tales, spoken in hushed tones over hastily consumed meals or shared in the quiet moments of reflection, serve as a reminder of what is at stake. It's not just the survival of the Core worlds, but the preservation of freedom and light in a galaxy shadowed by the malevolent forces of the Dark Empire. These narratives, rich with the spirit of heroism, underscore the importance of unity and the strength found in diversity. Each soldier, regardless of their origin or background, plays a crucial role in the fabric of the Alliance, embodying the collective determination to stand against tyranny.

War.

Between the conflict against the Mandalorian Enclave and the Caldera Crisis, it had been brewing for quite some time now. The Alliance had taken its losses, fought for its victories and always managed to persevere. Never had she expected for a new threat to strike so deep into the heart of the Alliance. Empress Teta, Tython — two planets with immense history during the Second Great Hyperspace War — had fallen to this Dark Empire.

It brought the enemy right to the gates of Coruscant, the very symbol of the Alliance and all of its might. But Coruscant was far more than just a symbol. Between the Senate and its Jedi Temple, the Alliance and its defense relied heavily on the planet and now it was being threatened by a force that rivaled that of the Maw.

It came as no surprise that GADF command had suggested the senate to withdraw and relocate elsewhere. The shock and reaction it would spark among the populace remained to be seen, but Valery knew it was needed. Their safety could not be guaranteed on Coruscant anymore.

But not just the Senate was at risk.

“My fellow Jedi,” Valery began as she addressed those who had gathered inside the Temple hall. The Council had sent word for all Jedi to attend if possible, so she hoped to reach as many as could possibly gather. “It’s good to see you all together in these trying times. Our enemy has gained a foothold within our own borders, and we’ve called you together today to discuss our future within the Alliance.”

She paused, allowing them a moment to gather their thoughts.

“As we speak, the Senate is holding a meeting to discuss a move of its offices to another world, far away from our enemies. Coruscant will remain protected by our fleets and the army, but we can’t take the risk and expose our leaders to this new threat. But it’s not just our leaders we must protect. The Coruscant Temple is no longer a safe place for our younglings and Padawans to train, and for that reason, we will once more turn to the Prosperity - the Temple ship we used during the last war as well.”

Once more, she paused but before others could speak, there was one last thing she needed to say.

“During this meeting, we’d like to offer everybody a chance to share their thoughts. We may move to a different Temple or perhaps establish a new one, somewhere safe. This is an open meeting about the announcement and our future in this war. Speak freely.”

"Not all of you remember the Hyperspace War," Jasper chimed in. "The Temple on Coruscant has been sacked before. Countless died in the attack. It's important that we take this step now."

There were some who would argue that they had to stay, but Jasper would not be one of them. For the sake of the youths they taught, who should not be exposed to such horrors so young, they had to act now to move themselves somewhere else, at least for the time being. Those who were ready to fight could stay, but the young ones had to be somewhere safe.

Not here.

“During this meeting, we’d like to offer everybody a chance to share their thoughts. We may move to a different Temple or perhaps establish a new one, somewhere safe. This is an open meeting about the announcement and our future in this war. Speak freely.”

"The Prosperity certainly helps, but somewhere to station her will be needed," he noted. "At least while we look for a viable temple. Devaron is an option. The Temple of Eedit is a good distance away from Tython. Pelagon has some Jedi history as well. "

He was kind of just spitballing, throwing ideas at the wall to see what stuck. They needed to think of something, so every idea had it's marits here. It was simply a matter of what made the most sense, and that wasn't something they'd find out by sitting around waiting for words to appear that fixed everything.

If only they had more time.

The Force was moving all around him as Elias crossed the temple floor. Fear, hope, desperation, pride - they mixed together in a strange cocktail of emotions that clouded the future and troubled his judgment. All he could see ahead was the heavy darkness rolling over the horizon, threatening not only the Jedi Order or even the Galactic Alliance, but potentially the entire galaxy as they knew it. The Dark Empire was the epitome of evil, the perfect storm formed by the remnants of all the Alliance’s greatest foes: Sith, Mawites, and Imperials, all frothing at the mouth for a piece of the Core.

Bastards,” Elias spat under his breath.

He followed the flow of Jedi deeper into the temple, offering simple nods and gestures to the faces he recognized until he stood in the great chamber where his friend Valery Noble Valery Noble and the rest of the Council awaited them. He gave a respectful dip of his head to Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el as he observed the Order’s leaders.

Prosperity was an excellent choice in Elias’ opinion, and actually solved a great many issues that often arose between the Order and the Alliance. Bias toward the Jedi, for example, could not be claimed if the NJO weren’t also housed in the nation’s capital. Taking the Order to the stars was an excellent way to stay vigilant and maintain total control over their space. But Master Kai’el raised a good point: where should Prosperity dock?

What about Jedha?” Elias asked when the moment felt right. It was on the opposite side of Alliance space from the Dark Empire and had a rich history with the Jedi and Force-sensitives.

Jace Sat there the dark empire was on more than just corusants doorstep they where on Had abbadons aswell. He was here is a member of the sia and a councilor for the alliance but he was distracted as he looked over data pads and was sending messages out trying to tighten had abbadons defenses incase of attack. His focus was divided something he hated doing but this warranted it at least the galactic alliance thought so he didn't he would have rather stayed on had abbadon and made sure they where as ready as possible for any attacks that would eventually come only a fool thought differently.

Seated in his senatorial office, the Minister for the Trade Federation awaited the emergency session summoned by the Chancellor. The news from Tython was disheartening, as the enigmatic Dark Empire had gathered enough strength to plunder the planet once again, rectifying the mistakes of the Brotherhood of the Maw.

Despite the Galactic Alliance's formidable power, a significant portion of territory had fallen into the hands of these invaders, potentially leading to unfavorable trends in the Interstellar Stock Exchange as people would no doubt begin to lose confidence in the power of currency, as what good was currency if the issuing authority failed to protect its value.

The holonet was buzzing with the news, but Meii-Nu Suu Meii-Nu Suu 's insider information reassured him that the Trade Federation's assets on those worlds would be regained through the Dark Empire's upcoming expansion.

The Gossam explained that they were simply swapping one economic powerhouse for another, with no added risk. Despite this, the Neimoidian couldn't shake off the fear that Coruscant, the Galaxy's Crown Jewel, might be at risk of an attack from a foreign force, despite their strong army and navy presence.

Still the session had been called, and the Minister would make his move henceforth without delay followed behind by a myraid of bankers, shareholders, and senatorial aides to plead the case of the Federation in front of the Federal Assembly. Moving his pod forward after some time collecting the proper notes.

"Senators and Represenatives of the Federal Assembly, There can be no denying that this 'Dark Empire' is now a threat to the galaxy and the Galactic Alliance. Shipping Lanes, Free Trade Zones, and Hyperspace Routes are now unprotected by these Imperial Barbarians due to the failures of the Defense Forces who with overwhelming numbers were unable to prevent Tython's sacking." The Neimoidian said with concern etched on his features, mentally counting the credits draining from his eyes as teardrops.

"The choice to withdraw the capital planet status from Coruscant is a clear demonstration of conciliation towards our adversaries. We currently occupy one of the most impregnable and fortified planets in the entire galaxy, rendering any attempt to breach our formidable defenses futile. Moreover, the might of our Super Star Destroyer Class Vessels in orbit is unparalleled, making it impossible for any opposing force to withstand our power. Given these circumstances, it begs the question: what rationale exists for declaring a new planet as our capital?" The Minister asked with geniue curioisty.

In times of war, there were never enough doctors to go around. There was never enough anything to go around, really, except cruelty. And once upon a time, he might have offered some of that himself—taken advantage of those affected by the invaded worlds just to make a few extra credits. Because when life had you down, there was nothing like a little spice to perk you up, right? There was always money to be made off of misery.

Never again.

Gatz lowered his borrowed speeder down to the landing platforms, where injured soldiers were being carried off of transport ships, and funneled into makeshift tents. That was how bad the Dark Empire had struck: that the upper levels of Coruscant were being dotted with makeshift lodges just so that the wounded could be tended to by whatever doctors and nurses were available.

Valery had recalled all the Jedi to the Temple, but how could he sit around and debate where to live when there were people in need? It seemed selfish to retreat to the Temple, when so many others had nowhere to retreat to. How could he sit up in the Order's literal ivory tower, when the soldiers who'd fought for the Galactic Alliance were being relegated to whatever tents could be spared?

Gatz had always hated the Jedi Temple. But he'd never hated it as much as he did today. Because today, the Jedi were needed. And instead of being down here with the people, they were holed up in the sky, thinking about themselves first.

That was not the kind of Jedi he was going to be.

He brought the speeder to a stop, repulsor lifts hovering the craft a few inches above the ground. Gatz turned to his passenger, who frankly, he was worried about being here. But if she wanted to help, he wasn't going to stop her. The doctors and nurses down here needed every pair of hands they could get, and Vera had two.

"Alright Little Bug, I want you to stick with me." Gatz climbed out of the speeder, "there's a lot to do, and I'm going to need your help doing it. And if you learn something today, well, that's a bonus."

The message was received.

It was sent to Connel’s wrist-comm.

He was still recovering from the vicious assault against him, so the young Jedi Knight would not be coming. So, they were going to get “father”. Caltin was going to be here anyway as he was going to clean out his son’s apartment in the Temple. This was not his home anymore, no, he is staying in the Order if he so desires, but he will be closer to home, and getting a ship that can better support him traveling more. There will be no need for an apartment, a loft, or whatever. So Caltin was here to get his things and go. Simple.

Yeah right.

There was a gathering in the main hall, confirming the rumors and suspicions. Officially, not only the government, but the Jedi as a whole are pulling out of Coruscant. It was prudent, but also sending a message that that might backfire down the road. There was nothing to say at the moment, So while he did not stand in the back like he normally does, Caltin moved over to the side, folded his arms over each other, and leaned back against the “greeting wall” which held maps, schedules and such as well as an enormous mural of the Battle of Geonosis that had begun the Clone Wars so long ago.

He eyed the crowd. Luckily anyone who knew him, be it personally or by reputation would not be affected by the demeanor he carried. This is because while Caltin was still under a spell set by his wife Chrysa that “shut off” any and all emotions from him, he always looked this way. If he were female, he would have “Resting..

DON’T!

I’m jus…

DON’T!

The massive Jedi Master listened to everything, taking it all in, there was something… directed… about the conversation that might not be related to the situation, so he did not want to speak up until he had all the facts. There was something else too, Caltin was always available and willing to help, but he was not an active member of the Jedi Order anymore, more a “Wayseeker” now. So he could speak his mind when he needed to, but he respected Valery, and Kahlil earned his respect as well. So out of respect to both of them, Caltin just remained quiet, then when the conversation began and options of a new place for a Temple, or to at least station “The Prosperity.” Then it hit him. There was something that could be done in a manner that was not out of the realm of what the Jedi do, but not normally something that they would.

Hide in plain sight.

Kel read the dockets with shaky hands, eyes going line by line as he digested the magnitude of what they were tasked with. Coruscant had been the beating heart of three Republics and the Galactic Alliance, but now her capabilities were in doubt. He could understand the proponents of both sides. Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin was, surprisingly, rather astute in his logic: Coruscant was, without a doubt, the most well-defended planet in the known galaxy. Attacking it was practically suicidal. But is it worth risking the lives of billions to hold ground against the Dark Empire in the heart of the Core?

Would moving the capital even matter? Violent, godless mongrels like the Empire cared little about scrutiny; they’d raze Coruscant whether the Alliance’s leaders remained or not, just to prove that they could. Kel felt his fingers white-knuckling around the datapad. His assistant droid cocked her head, toddling closer to his side.

Senator Se’Taav, are you-?

I’m fine,” the old man barked. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Whether the Trade Federation Minister was on the right track or not didn’t matter. The Chancellor, GADF Command, and the SIA had already agreed upon a trio of candidates for the Alliance’s new seat. The choice was already made in part for them - Coruscant would be abandoned by command, at least for now. The question, then, was which planet to choose?

Kel read and reread the options. Each world had its merits and faults, but one stood out above the others. After gathering his thoughts, the senator from Abregado-rae moved his pod to forward to speak.

The capital of our great Galactic Alliance must not only rest on a world that stands strongly amongst the members of our union, but one that has the greatest potential for defendability. Fondor,” he said, “represents that in my eyes.

The Bothan cleared his throat, eyebrows rustling as he placed a pair of spectacles over his aging eyes. He looked over the docket in hand for a brief moment before continuing.

Fondor’s impressive shipyards and manufacturing facilities are perfect for the heart of what shall become an immense machine of war. It is easily defendable and has a history of standing strong for the people of its nation. In this dark new era, those are the things that we will rely on the most if we are to prevail over the Empire and its dogs.

The protocol droid at his side stared holes into the Bothan’s back, clearly disavowed by her owner’s words. Kel paid her no mind. The days of poise and couth were over; the Alliance, for the third time in his career, was at war once again, and pleasantries were a waste of time and energy. Satisfied with the points he made, the senator returned his pod to its original position and awaited the next voice to enter the fray.

"Jedha. Alderaan. Kashyyyk. The Peragus debris field. All of the above, and anything else you care to pick off of a star chart blindfolded."

Jaidan Shatani was in a foul mood, and at times like this, he couldn't help but wonder if he would have been better served on spending as much time as so many other Jedi did learning to hide it. He strongly suspected OTHERS would be better served by it, which was one of several reasons he did not move among the circles of power in the Order more often. Still, the call had gone out to ALL Jedi, and this wasn't the sort of summons one simply ignored because they lacked the patience. Still, the mood was foul, and as he leaned restlessly against his carved wooden staff in his chosen corner, he found none of this was helping.

Tython stung, and to be honest, little enough of that had anything to do with its symbolism to the Jedi of now. Yes, it was the birthplace of the Jedi Order, but in truth, their reformation from what came before into the Jedi had effectively heralded the end of their time there, or at least the beginning of the end. Still, there was just so much history there, so much that had been lost of their beginnings and what came before even that, waiting to be unearthed again and perhaps shed light on some of the mis-steps they'd made in all the millennia since. And it was such a wondrous, beautiful world. To see it in the hands of those barbarians...

And perhaps worse, if the symbolism of Tython didn't mean much to him in its own right, it seemed the apathy was widespread. Or maybe not apathy, but something far worse. Faced with the sudden and shocking loss of one home, the stalwart champions of peace and stability in this dumpster fire of an age were preparing to simply pack up and abandon another one. Surely, too brilliant a plan to fail yet again.

"If your intent is to run, then run. But I would urge you all to please abandon the fiction that there is anywhere to safely run TO. There is no bolt hole you can scurry to where your enemies cannot find you in time. I DO know something of history, and if it has any lessons for us, I believe it shows that much. Our forebears were hidden away behind a nigh impenetrable maze of black holes and time space distortions. The Rakata found them. They tried Ossus, and their reward was a supernova. They found their way to Coruscant, and that leads ultimately to this inspirational show of resolution. So by all means, evacuate those you will if you think safety awaits beyond this fortified world. But do not think of settling any longer than it takes to refuel and resupply. Keep your haven on the move. Once you turn your face and run, your only real recourse is to KEEP running."

It had been many months since Pryce had been to Coruscant, the senatorial offices of the Corellian Confederation run by a ghost crew of councilors and interns. If something required attention or a vote needed paperwork, the councilors and interns of the Corellian Confederation sent it to his ranch back on Corellia, where he now spent most of his time as he aged. But the return of an old enemy had lit a fire within him he had not felt in years. Taken in war and enslaved by the Sith he held a passion for their ilk few outside of the Jedi Orders held. Despite that hatred, for that was what it was no matter what he liked to say, he had once held strong to the belief that he was a peaceful man- a man that did not relish the fight.

The heat in his chest when he'd heard that the Sith had returned and taken not one, but three sectors of Alliance Space form under their nose told him different.

His gnarled hand gripped the head of his cane tightly as he stood proudly in his suit, the pauldron of his office as Corellian Diktat and General of the Confederation Defense Force giving him a military air. He grimaced at the words from his fellow senator and depressed the call button of his senate pod. It hummed softly as its repulsors shifted it into place, the microphones of his pod catching and throwing his aging voice through the senate. His grip tightened on his cane as he bit back his defense of the GADF and tried diplomacy instead.

"The good Representative of the Trade Federation should remember their history. The charter of our great Alliance never said a new world could not be chosen as capitol. It was, after all, Corellia which was our great nation's first capitol and only once the Core Worlds were deemed safe and our worlds united did we make the decision to relocate to this world." They probably expected him to once again ask for the honor of hosting the Alliance but he could see the writing on the wall. Military reports from GADF, CDF, and various independent sources had taken over his small office back home. He'd drank them in, from troop movements of the enemy to naval encounters on the retreat. Though he couldn't say with certainty he felt in the Force that he had a good idea of their situation. The fact of the matter was Corellia was too close to the conflict. He already suspected that his world would be attacked within the next few months.

"The Startide-class Star Defenders are indeed powerful assets. But the fact of the matter is Coruscant is vulnerable. Reports are already coming in of expeditionary forces harrying our borders here. While I think a move so suddenly will put our civilians in a near panic, the fact is that if we are going to turn the tide of this war strong planets like Coruscant, strong worlds like Annaxes, like Corellia will need to hold the line while we reassess this new threat."

He bowed his head to senator Sel'Taav.

"While I may be biased, I firmly believe that Fondor provides the highest level of safety and security for the Alliance."

"With all due respect, that notion puts too much trust in this Temple," Jasper remarked sternly. "It has fallen before, in my own lifetime. This isn't about running with our tails tucked between our legs, this is about protecting the younglings. I hope we all haven't forgotten that there are students in our order. The Jedi will fight the Empire when they come, but we will not leave our students here to have pressure bombs dropped on them."

Making this about their pride. He wasn't really in the mood to entertain the notion of them being cowards when there was far more at stake. They would fight, but they weren't leaving the children.

What about Jedha?

"Jedha has merrits..." the Sentinel of Harmony mused.

It certainly had the history to boot, and was far into the fringes of their space.

Blasted politics. Shan was starting to think that it would have better if he had stayed on Nar Shaddaa. At least then he wouldn't have to worry about the responsibility being a Jedi. Shan originally thought being a hero would be fun. But it was just a lot of hard work. And he could have gotten the hardwork back home, without all of the hassle it had given him. It might have made more sense for Shan to be at the Jedi meeting, listening to all of the greats talk about their plans. To figure out where they were going to go...but there was no way Shan was going to step back whilst other people were in trouble. After all, he didn't plan on being with the order forever. There was going to come a day where he left the Order to work on becoming a Doctor. If he joined back up with the Order...Who knows. It might be less of a headache for him.

Either way, he was out on the streets near the spaceports, ready to lend a helping hand wherever he could. Absent of his typical robes, the Mirialan was acting on behalf of himself today. He wasn't doing this in the name of the Jedi, or the Galactic Alliance. That didn't mean he wasn't going to ask for a bit of help from the Force for his healing, nor was he going to be foolish enough not to use the medical resources he had. People were going to need help and he wasn't going to be picky with the way he handed out the help.

He couldn't help but let his mind wander during his walk though. All of these people coming from these war torn planets...With their stories to tell...but who was there to speak for the Flora and Fauna of these planets? Creatures that couldn't escape from the hell they were going to be stuck in...It would be of no surprise to Shan if no-one else really cared about the animals. Everything was probably going to be leaning towards preparing for war now. Or well, further preparing for the war they were already in. The optimism he had once had when he joined the Order had been thoroughly wiped clean of his mind.

OBJECTIVE 2

He'd been there. He'd seen two incredibly powerful creatures in the Force; entities, just not normal people, he'd followed Onrai, at the time. There was so much about that creature that frightened him. Every time he saw her... there was so much darkness that swirled about her and none of it ever seemed to abate. Then he'd seen why. He'd followed her into the Temple, wanting to keep her from desecrating it, as little as that mattered... She'd done so, regardless, even as the powers of Tython swirled to him, as well...

Slowly he looked around, trying to pick out faces from the crowd, though that was nearly impossible. He did know Valery, of course, though... none of the others... Well, cept for Jasper, in this case, he knew that guy. He briefly thought he saw Caltin. Nope. He straight up did and he smiled, for a few moments. The topic was something that Raphael was a bit...uncomfortable with, as he'd always viewed the Templed as a safe space, and a protective space.

A breath in, held it for a few seconds and then he let it out slowly. Raphael began to look around, trying to find his master, Nyla Sallaros Nyla Sallaros , though he hadn't seen her yet. Knowing her, he knew that she'd be there. She was wiser than he really understod most times and he was sure that she'd have a good bit of wisdom to add to this or, at the very least, he could ask her some questions. For now, however, he was more than happy to stand aside, listening. This was important to be here for.

This isn't about running with our tails tucked between our legs, this is about protecting the younglings. I hope we all haven't forgotten that there are students in our order. The Jedi will fight the Empire when they come, but we will not leave our students here to have pressure bombs dropped on them."

"Well," Jaidan managed to respond evenly enough, meeting the other Jedi's look with a tight smile. "Thank you for saying it with respect. I say in the very same spirit that more than one thing can be true at a time. I said nothing of tails, nor of legs, but running is EXACTLY what this is about. I assure you, I am hardly oblivious to the dangers facing our Younglings. I was once one myself. But if this is about their safety, then I reiterate my original point. It does not exist. Yes, this Temple has fallen. Just as Ossus fell. Just as Ilum fell. Just as every world tried was a refuge for us right up until it wasn't. Just as everywhere in this galaxy has, in its time, fallen into the path of blood and fire."

Taking a deep breath, Jaidan turned his gaze away from Jasper to face the conclave at large as best he could. It didn't take one particularly wise to see that it served nothing and no one to allow this to devolve into petty bickering. And no mood of his would excuse that.

"Please, do not mistake me. My aim is to foster neither alarm, nor fatalism. Only reality...as I see it, at least. We ALL wish to see the non-combatants in our care as safe as possible. I ask simply that you consider whether any planet can truly provide it. Jedha is further from the Deep Core, true enough. But if the aegis of the Alliance's fleets and armies, to say nothing of this world's planetary defenses cannot keep us safe, then what avail is a few extra parsecs to an enemy with hyperdrive? So I say again, fine. Move them from the war front. But keep moving them. History and the Force flow richly through the worlds proscribed, yes. But history is everywhere. The Force is everywhere."

The Neimoidian anxiously shifted their gaze between different pods, observing as influential figures like Senator Sev'Taav and Former Vice-Chancellor and Current Diktat of the Corellian Federation Dracken Pruce voiced their views in the Federal Assembly regarding the relocation of the senate from Coruscant to one of the three designated systems.

Among the options, the Sovereign Planet of Fondor emerged as the top choice due to its renowned shipyards and advanced manufacturing facilities, offering a significant boost to the military capabilities of the assembly while ensuring a strong defense against potential threats.

The Minister received satisfactory responses regarding the Alliance's potential relocation from Coruscant with Corellia, the former capital coming to mind as Pryce had mentioned.

The Current Diktat would no doubt use this occassion to remind the Assembly of this historical signiciance, especially since they held a special interest over the planet and the surrounding system. Just think of the prestige that would come with having the Senate relocate to your system over others in the vicinity.

"Diktat Pryce provides an intriguing analysis of the situation. Initially, you claim that Coruscant is susceptible to an attack, but then contradict yourself by stating that Coruscant is actually capable of withstanding the Dark Empire as we gather our forces. So, is Coruscant strong or is it vulnerable?" The Minister would say, in an attempt to push back against Dracken Pryce Dracken Pryce , the old fossil had been around for a long time after all.

"The relocation of the Senate to the Planet of Fondor is a viable option during this period of unprecedented crisis. However, it is important to consider that Fondor is situated on the near outskirts of our borders, making it susceptible to potential attacks by the Sith Order in our moment of vulnerability. If there is a strong belief that the Sith Order will not target this heavily fortified world, then the Trade Federation of Planets is in agreement with the proposal. Nevertheless, it is necessary to implement a taxation rate of 13.3687% on all goods transported via Trade Federation freighters due to the downgrade of Trade Lanes from safe to medium-risk." Lodd explained with a rather mundane tone, wanting to insure that any relocation of the Senate would not be vulnerable to an attack by the Sith Order. Although there was an underlying reason to warrant increased taxation rates on all goods flowing nearby the Dark Empire Quadrant.

Large meetings like this were difficult. Efret found it challenging to follow the near-human interpreters standing beside the grandmaster and periodically switching off. In a way, it was jarring to witness so much verbal chaos in complete silence. So many of the names that were signed before their messages she didn't know.

After listening for some time, she finally rose her hand to signal to one of the interpreters that she had thoughts to share. "Master Farr has something to add," the echani informed those in the room when there was a silence. He paused then, giving Efret a moment to begin, before he likewise began to interpret:

"I believe that Master Shatani is bringing to this meeting a reality that we all might be hesitant to consider, but there is an alternative to constant relocation. That would be entire self-sufficiency and secrecy. When paired together, I believe they would allow the greatest possible safety to our padawan learners and their selected wards, and also the stability of a constant wartime residence.

"Wherever is decided upon as refuge, send also as many detachments of the Agricultural Corps as needed to support the population to be relocated, along with enough foodstuffs to allow for one, maybe two, lagging or outright failed harvests. Import nothing. Teach the knights assigned to their protection to hunt, perhaps also to gather.

"And we must not speak of it, lest agents of the Sith find out. Those of us left here, and elsewhere, must not go to visit. We must wage this war, keep it away from that place, and hope for the best."

"What about New Cov?" Jonyna offered. "It's relatively secret, and far away from the Imperial forces' base of power."

The Cathar had spent the last few days split between the bacta tank and the office. With Coruscant under threat, she'd been dealing with evacuating Si Tech's assets. The woman still walked with a visible limp, her body recovering from nearly breaking her back. Three vertebrae fractured, the doctor had said. Mind you, the Doctor also said that she needed two weeks of bedrest, but she was never one to wait around that long. Whatever that so called Knight of Ren was, hit had done a number on her. Her coat still showed signs of wear, and she looked ragged from the stress. Still, she kept her smile. "We could keep the kids there, in hiding, while we keep the mobile temple on the move. Make it look like we're elsewhere. If we keep a small contigent of knights shuttling to New Cov occasionally, it'll keep the air of secrecy."

"One can be both," Pryce said. He wanted to reach across the pod and strangle the man, but he chose to ignore the Neimoidian's taxes. "It is important," he started, "to also prepare for the inevitable humanitarian crisis of trillions of refugees. Once we announce our intention to shift the capitol the masses will stampede their way out of the system. We need to prepare. The Maw's random attacks kept citizens home. 'Why leave when they could attack anywhere.?' But this...Dark Empire. They have all but announced their designs for the Core."

A shadow fell over the old man's gaze. An unspoken thought. For too long the Core had been the focus of rebuilding and unification. Now they would reap their harvest. He hoped they had done enough to cool the tension between Core and Non-Core worlds.

The loss of a soldier. Teta had been brutal, but Phoenix Platoon would carry on. The whole platoon had paid their respects, as Ashely prepped for the next battle. Coruscant would become a fortress, and they would man the walls.

His name was Bras Yan. He was a Sullustan who loved life, and fought hard. He was funny, but he knew when to keep quiet. His friends knew him as Skywalker, due to his peppy attitude towards 'fighting the good fight'.

Now he was dead. Ashley needed to move on. She had chosen a new recruit, a specialist with a crack shot and a second hand understanding of his weapon. Freshface, they called him for now. For now, that was the new normal.

She watched the men leave the grave, waiting by the door for each of them. To command, Skywalker was just a number on a list of casualties from Teta. To Ashley, she had lost a son. She waited by the door as each of his brothers and sisters were allowed to grieve. She had done her grieving.
