SPECIAL FEATURESS
  • Plug-in ports - The suit also sports four plug-in power ports (two on the wrists, one on the chest and one on the waist), that allow for the user to plug in additional aftermarket combat accessories in order to enhance some of the suit's already present abilities or create new ones.
  • Wireless I/O Jack - Each BDU is issued with a wireless data I/O jack which can be inserted into most computer terminals, allowing the wearer to connect wirelessly to the terminal's network via their holographic dataport display.
  • Holographic Dataport Display - The collars of each BDU tunic are lined with micro-processors and micro-holographic emitters allowing the user to use a holographic dataport display that can provide all the basic functions of most standard datapads without physically having to hold the device. In addition, this display can be networked to the wireless I/O jack provided to allow access to non-networked, or limited networked computer terminals.
STRENGTHS
  • High resistance to energy and kinetic attacks: comes from the body-suit's construction using Obsidian Star's patented Flexanium, woven metal. In addition, mounts exist for additional Durasteel trauma plates to be mounted for increased protection.
  • Flexible: While maintaining an excellent level of protection, these BDU's are also quite flexible - allowing most wearers a full range of motion.
WEAKNESSES
  • Susceptible to ION/EMP damage: The electronic accessories that come with the BDU's aren't well insulated against ION/EMP attacks, neither does the Flexanium fabric provide much protection from stun blasts. Wearers of these BDU's who are hit the stun blasts/ION/EMP attacks will have most or all of their accessories become inoperative, and if the attack is designed to incapacitate them, will likely be incapacitated as well
  • Limited battery life: The micro-batteries that power the various accessory ports are not nearly as long lasting as those built into Paladin Company's heavier armor. While they can power most Obsidian Star after-market accessories, the effective life of each is less than a third.
DESCRIPTION

Not all missions call for a bulky suit of armor. Sometimes stealth and ease of movement are more important than protection. As such, a hybrid set of BDU's was developed by Obsidian Star R&D to fit the bill and Paladin Company was chosen to be the testing bed for the prototypes. Each suit of BDU's is woven from Flexanium, a patented flexible Titanium weave that provides excellent protection from energy and kinetic attacks while still allowing the wearer to enjoy a full range of motion. In addition, mounts were put in to allow the wearer to easily add hard durasteel plates for added protection when needed. Each set of BDU's enjoys four ports from which after-market accessories can be mounted and a holographic dataport display that gives the functionality of a standard datapad and comlink without requiring the physical object. In addition, each BDU comes with a wireless I/O jack that can allow them to access many secured computer networks.

I've created this table below to illustrate the problems, and highlighted the ratings that do not match when comparing the armor, and the material you have used, Flexanium.

ArmorFlexanium
EnergyHigh/Very High (with plates)High
KineticHigh/Very High (with plates)High
LightsabersLow/Average (if plates are added)Average
SonicVery Low-
Ion/EMPNoneVery Low

You cannot have any ratings on the armor lower than the ratings of any material you use. Please change this so that they match, or remove Flexanium from the material list.

Apologies for the inconvenience, but it'll save us all the headache that it could cause at a later date. Beltran Rarr Beltran Rarr
