Organic Energy [Outer Rim Coalition and Jedi Praxeum]

Once they entered the outskirts of the village they'd hear the screams.

Whatever it was? It was still happening.

A handful of creatures were caught in the open as they were pushing around some husked corpses by Janick's fire spell. They started to screech -- adding their voice to the noises in the air -- and for a moment it almost seemed as if there were words in those screeches. It was gone as soon as it began, the force-made fire burning through them and killing them within a moment. It was a shame that the screeching had awakened the rest of the village, Sithspawn suddenly swarming out of the buildings and streets towards Janick's small group.

Even still.

The wailing didn't stop on the other side of the village.

Maybe, just maybe, if they worked hard enough they would be able to rescue some of the remaining villagers.

Lips curled into a smile at the veiled rebuke.

It was always amusing to see who reacted how to her sweet words. Some liked it, others were annoyed by it but persevered because they wanted to prove themselves unaffected, then there were a rare few that actively pushed against the trend. Cerbera wondered if Farah would be that for her. "We sit and sip caf together after creating something exceptional, darling." The smile grew brighter and more pronounced. "Knees touching, I don't think we will get any closer than this, no?"

A shift as she sipped from her own caf.

Eyes closed briefly as she felt the sing of fire on her skin.

The shiver was suppressed and Cerbera chuckled. "They are... ending them quite violently it seems." Why that amused her was anyone's question. "You know, I would never have thought of making this into a sellable commodity, I am impressed." If it had been her, she would simply have unleashed the beasts and watched what they did.

Or what was being done to them.

The energy they sucked wouldn't have been all that interesting to her.

Shia didn't waste any time, although she did waste five silent hand gestures and two barked words in Mandalorian before she remembered these were Jedi, and ones who didn't speak Mando'a at that.

"You go in close, you're the Jedi." She translated, ignoring the fact she had a legendary lightsaber on her back. "I'll provide covering fire."

Her blasters rapped out a solid stream of high pitched fire, punctuated with the occasional sharp crack of her suit's railgun and the dull hiss-whoosh of her wrist rockets. She had been trained to fight from birth, by a Clan that fought the Force the traditional way - overwhelming firepower or overwhelming surprise, lacking in the latter, she was copiously equipped for the former.

She stayed close to Mishel - it wasn't that she didn't trust the dirty look Coren had given her, or the strange woman who could call forth fire (why not just use a flamethrower?) - but she was close to the 'Rogue Jedi' and she found it far easier to predict the others movements, and to convey her own across two entirely different styles of battle.

"Griet, you're on overwatch. Looks like the screeching of the dead Sithspawn caused the whole village to awaken, Sithspawn or not"

Flamethrowers lacked precision and fired in an indiscriminate cone: for that sort of usage, the Force had more precision. Chain lightning, whether fire-based or electricity-based, could be made to spare villagers; meanwhile, she had to approach the surviving Sithspawn from another direction since the Mando was providing suppressive slug fire from one direction. Griet being up in the tree, ready to fire at unsuspecting Sithspawn from above, using a sniper rifle, Janick made a rather cautious approach and, once again, she made sure the targeted Sithspawn were on a different field of fire prior to letting loose another bolt of chained fire at those Sithspawn, linking them by a red, somewhat curved line as it arced from a Sithspawn to another, while Griet fired a shot of electromagnetic plasma at one of the larger Sithspawn from a distance of a couple hundred meters. What Griet fired at was, in fact, much larger than the Sithspawn killed in the last chained firebolt spell. Hopefully, Mishel and Coren will be able to approach these beasts from another direction than we are firing from, she thought, while her reserves of Force-energy were steadily draining, and having to fire that big gun if push came to shove.

Ember suppressed the horror as he watched the transformation from monster to a nearly lifeless shell of a young Nasvalo tainted by the hideous machinations of the dark side of the Force. He knelt on one leg laying the dying girl on his thigh and heavily tapped into the light side of the Force. The Jedi Knight poured a wave of healing energy at the girl, he was no expert medic, not even close. All he knew about healing was greatly limited but what he possessed in abundance was a reckless determination.

With a nudge he activated his comms to speak to his fellow Jedi nearby:

"I need a medic... a healer right now." He said through gritted teeth and panting. Tapping wildly the Force was not something he often did and it came with a heavy price. "Some...some of the spawn that look like humanoids....they, don't, don't kill them, they're... tainted locals who can be turned!"

The Jedi Knight focused on trying to save the girl despite how dire her situation was. Sweat broke like a waterfall on his brows and his gasps for air hastened with each passing moment.

Ember did not know whether he would succeed or not, but he could only try.

"No time like the present," she remarked keeping her lightsaber in one hand as she flourished it. The snap-hiss sound as it came alive moved her into the sense that a good fight was up ahead, the Sentinel padawan threw her saber out first before leaping over. The flow of her Ataru form shifted as Juyo came to mind, it hadn't been one she had versed herself in but it was one she would have to learn sooner rather than later. Hand extended in a force push to keep other sithspawn at bay, while a well placed slash across a sithspawn before her burned through its flesh. A small five step move, Mishel pivoted to avoid another sithspawn and looked over her shoulder a moment. Hazel green eyes found the Mandalorian [member="Shia Kryze"] before the wretched stench of the beast brought her back to present. Leg slash, back flip followed by a pair of zealous strikes against another beast. "I've got this, you get anyone still there!"

Her voice directed at [member="Coren Starchaser"], Mishel centered herself again as another cut followed by a flurry of swings. The thrum of the lightsaber sung a song of battle as it burnt against claw, flesh and muscle at each given chance. Force push again, as the Tygaran flipped over this time catching a sithspawn to the side. Penalty paid as she hit the ground with a sickening thud but the Sentinel turned and created a flash of fire giving her just enough time to pull her lightsaber back toward her and carve a line into the beast's facial features. The anger the beast unleashed was unlike any other the girl had seen before, but no matter the vicious brutality of her Ren-past steeled her. Mishel rolled out from underneath and pushed it back once more.
