Operation Hammerfall | Invasion of Mandalore and Concord Dawn [TSE/UCM]

As Samka stretched and the soldiers of the Sith Empire spread through the city, Funami seemed to be missing. Curious. It would be a great shame if the little thing had been gunned down already. Sam had felt there was potential in the Sith child.

She glanced around but saw no sign of her. Reaching out with the Force instead, she sought out the familiar signature. Ah. It wasn't far and just as alive as ever, she seemed to have gotten delayed somehow. Although Sam did notice honing in that Funami felt... angry. That was an emotion she hadn't registered much of in the girl before.

Sam backtracked a little to follow the Dark Force presence on her radar. Soon enough she found the girl and she was accompanied by fresh corpses. Sam hadn't sensed the death at a distance. Being on such a large scale battlefield was something of a sensory overload when it came to detecting individual deaths. But there was no mistaking the bodies for those killed by Sith regulars. Those dents in the armour were far too distinctive. The hallmarks of kinetic power.

"Impressive." Sam said as she approached Funami. "But do try to stay close, it wouldn't do to have you lost out here." Now she was closer she inspected the bodies further. It took some capable telekinetic skill to overwhelm and kill two Mandalorian soldiers even for an adult. She suspected Funami had some Force talent but for one so young, it was nothing short of remarkable.

The raging Battle of Mandalore was put to the back of her mind for a moment as Sam hunched over next to Funami so that the two would (almost) be eye to eye. "I think, little Funami, you may have some interesting stories for me once this is done. I'd quite enjoy hearing all about the child who can fell Mandalorian warriors with such ease."

The battle raged on in the distance, Valdus could clearly see the broken line still giving it their all. The Mandalorian tanks were not easily destroyed, but with the enemy reinforcements constantly pouring into the dome it was only time before most met an explosive fate that endangered all that were close to the heavy vehicles at their time of destruction. He silently wondered to himself if his tactic would work, if his gambit would payoff. Only time would tell if his trap would be sprung and then he saw it - the enemy’s continued advance into the city. Whether through their arrogance, rage, or the drive to thoroughly dismantle the spirit of the Mandalorians, the forces of the Sith Empire pushed forward, slaughtering any that they could.

Just as he saw their advance Valdus’ commlink sprung to life from one of the officers in charge of a tank crew, “Alor Bral, they’ve engaged some sort of deflector shield and our missiles, they’re being intercepted by two large vehicles!” Though Valdus had spotted the shield himself as the Imperium-class tank was not a fast vehicle, which meant he was still very close to the front lines. He watched the steadily growing ray shield that was undoubtedly deployed to protect the forward advance towards the heart of Sundari. Where Valdus had hoped and had planned for the Sith to give into their desire for dominance and attack the Palace, he had not foreseen the use of such a large shield. A truly brilliant tactic. No plan survives contact with the enemy.” He muttered to himself in his growling, deep voice. He then reactivated his commlink and broadcast to the Outer defense perimeter, which had been mobilizing towards the eastern front for some time now, forsaking the other areas of Outer Sundari, “All armor engage from a distance, continue to batter their shields and any units that are not yet covered.” Soon the main arm of the Sith army would be engaged from a distance on both their northern and southern sides in much more force now that the more distant armored vehicles had made their way to that front.
Valdus knew that the outer city would be left undefended now that he had redeployed all the outer city assets to flank the main enemy advanced positions, but to falter now meant that all the lives sacrificed in baiting the Sith into treading further into Sundari would have been in vain. His indecisiveness could lead to the deaths of many Mandalorians and the total loss of this important battle, which in turn could mean the loss of Mandalore. The commlink shifted to the Inner City Defense line he had created, “Imperium-class that I am atop of and the AT-99 Forge Titans as well as all the T-2 Walkers behind me...” he paused slightly, a rush of possibilities flooding his mind. Would this be the right call? Would his next words be the doom of Sundari or its salvation? “…full charge, counter assault the front line, retake our ground!” At his words the Imperium-class ceased its reverse and then moved forward again. From behind him he heard the thunderous clashing of the AT-99 and T-2 walkers’ feet meeting duracrete at full speed - which may not have been fast for a vehicle, but even then the force required to move them at their slower speed cracked the duracrete and pulverized chunks into dust.

He then switched to his personal commlink channel for his clan. “Pick me up and head for the front. Beviin’s one and two, you’re with me on the east. Beviins three and four, the west. Ready yourselves for Beskar’pitat.” Within a handful of seconds a Beviin heavy troop transport roared overhead and then slowed down as it descended into a shallow hover above and in front of Valdus Bral, the rear hatch opening to reveal the same clansmen he had only recently given his farewell. Two of the R-36 War Droids extended one hand each to their Alor, who took their metal vice-like hands. He was then hoisted up into the Beviin, which then closed the hatch and ascended quickly into the air to join its wingman; Beviin two. Valdus’ plan did not originally include an air element, however with the shield in play he needed to take advantage of their current air superiority within the dome while it lasted.

Meanwhile, the destruction wrought by the force and lightsaber brought upon the Mandalorian forces by [member="Kaalia Pavanos"] and [member="Charlyra Araano"] would not continue to go unnoticed by those who commanded the Mandalorian defense. A commander of a T-2 who had seen the two Sith began to speak rapidly into his commlink, " Two dar'jetti in the main eastern corridor are ripping us apart! Where are those War Forts and Droids?" The officer had meant the Bral War Forts and the Battle buddies deployed around the city before the incursion. Seconds later the officer's commlink blurted out, " Assistance inbound, continue to engage." The officer's location had been marked and now dozens of Battle Buddy drones hovered quickly towards [member="Kaalia Pavanos"] and [member="Charlyra Araano"] 's location. It would take at least a minute, but the shadow of a single Bral War Fort started to cross over buildings, they would not quiet be covered in the bubble from the Bral, but they would now experience several pockets of ysalamir force destabilization bubbles. It would be unlikely that they could use the force for long distance assaults due to the checkered space between the sith and the Mandalorian armor. In addition to the reinforcements called directly for the pair, they would also be in the path of the AT-99 Forge Titans, more T-2 Walkers, and the Imperium-class Super Heavy tank. These three vehicle classes cared little for lightsaber assaults due to sheer size and without the unfettered use of the force, they were only going to be more threatening.

The Beviin pairs flew high above, weaving between buildings that acted as support structures for the dome and vice versa. Any resistance met, such as being tailed by enemy aircraft that had managed to slip past and into the interior of Sundari, were shot at furiously by the ventral and nose mounted dual-light laser cannons. The Beviin’s did not lose speed as they rocketed towards the front lines. Valdus turned tuned his commlink over to the command channel, “I need airstrikes between the North and South tank lines now!” The Beviins now hugged the interior of the dome wall as they followed the inverted curvature towards the Sith’s two massive tanks and the growing shield of theirs. As the Beviin’s passed over the tanks some observers that may have been looking up would see glints of metal streaming out of the rear of all four transports with varying shapes and sizes, and the Beviins continuing to fly close to the interior of the upper dome.

The faint pop of explosions, the flicker of laser weaponry, the plumes of smoke rising from destroyed war machines, and the rapidly expanding view of the battlefield filled the optical sensors of the R-36. Then suddenly…PWOOFSH! A sound of rapidly disturbed air sounding off tens of times and the hum of repulsors joined into the cacophonous racket created by the parachutes expanding upon the backs of the clan Bral R-36 droids. Their free fall lasted only seconds before the deployment of parachutes slowed their descent.

Their metal bodies slammed into the roof tops of the HAVt Barrage class tanks, the R-36 War Droids had touched down. Their shock absorbing legs were designed for this maneuver and only needed their parachutes for a second or two to lose most of their momentum so that their legs could sustain the fall. Valdus’ plan was now in action. “R-36 units, target those shield generators!” The hulking War Droids rushed to the edges of their respective HAVt Barrage Class Tanks to begin to assault the shield generators with their Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons , a weapon normally equipped to tanks and heavy vehicles, as well as the occasional three rocket burst from their under-barrel wrist-rocket launcher attachment. Meanwhile the Devastators, Wardens, and Valdus waited in the holds of the Beviin transports waiting to see if the assault on the shield generators would be a success. Valdus brought the fight to the Sith, he would make sure they remembered the name of Clan Bral and what it meant to be a true Mandalorian warrior. He had turned their greatest ground assets into high ground for his war droids to use as a firing platform with the aid of the air superiority while the Sith claimed subterranean dominance.

With any luck this would spell the end of the shield and force a reaction to the elite strike force that now fired down upon them from the HAVt Tanks. Meanwhile the Northern and Southern flanks would be harshly punished by long distance barrages from main weapon fire from the tanks and the impending assault from the front by the heaviest units Valdus had at his disposal; the AT-99 Forge Titans, the T-2 Walkers, and the Imperium-class Super Heavy Tank which were still a distance away, but were already assaulting the shield and aiming at vehicles with their mass drivers and turbo-lasers. Finally topping off the mufti-pronged counter assault would be the airstrikes carried out by whoever would answer his request. Despite his high hopes, he had placed nearly his entire clan at risk of annihilation by both enemy and friendly fire.

Summary
While the main assault led by Vexen of The Sith Empire push further into Sundari, Valdus Bral's strategy has been revealed. General Vexen's main assault is now heavily outflanked on their northern and southern side, while the Imperium-class Super Heavy Tank, a few AT-99 Forge Titans, and several T-2 Walkers that had been kept in reserve now rush headlong towards Vexen's spearhead. However, there has been a complication; the large ray shield generator promises to severely weaken the Mandalorian counter assault. With little choice and time quickly running out, Valdus has decided to use the elite forces of the Bral clan to skydive onto the pair of HAVt Barrage Class Tanks in a maneuver known as Beskar'pitat, or Iron Rain in Galatic Common, thus turning the formidable enemy tanks into high ground positions from which the Bral clan now fire down upon their enemies. The heavy weapons favored by clan Bral have their sights set upon destroying the ray shield generator(s) and inflicting as many casualities as possible with their high output weaponry. Valdus Bral, his Mandalorian Wardens, and Mandalorian Devastators await the fate of the shield generators from within their transports. The Sith Forces are besieged on three sides and a request for contained airstrikes has been issued.

For the first time in far too long, Sundari was alive. The sulfuric stench of ballistic weaponry and the burned o-zone that accompanied blaster fire swirled rhythmically around Alkor, affirming that the Sith had done what the Mandalorians had failed to do for a multitude of years. They incited war.

Chaos reigned. Presiding over the conflict, Sith orchestrated a brutal offensive that forced Mandalorian forces to dig in tight and hope against odds that they could hold the line. Already, the fangs of the Dark Side of the Force had driven deep. Already, the poison was begging to take its toll.

Alkor strode through the sea of bodies and dancing duelists, blades kissing and clashing like lustful lovers. Heat rose all around him, the maddening thrill of combat enough to innundate the senses and drown a lesser man. Indeed, all around him, the world had begun to drown.

He had only one thought. Find the heart. Cut it out.

The once-Mand'alor, the one who called herself Infernal, had burnt out. Like a flame at the end of its life, her embers still held the faith of the people, but she was not the pyre they would flock to in their darkest hour.

No.

Something else had risen from the depths. As he felt the call of [member="Bedrovelse Hevn"], Alkor raised his head and tilted it back, letting the darkness saturate him with all its whispers. Temptations, threats, seductions, and secrets...

In his mind, there was a whisper.

It was quiet, but it was firm. Solemn. Stoic.

A slow, steady heartbeat.

Ra. Viz. Sla. Ra. Viz. Sla.

His eyes narrowed, and Alkor knew what had descended upon Sundari. In their darkest hour, the one called back from beyond crept forth from the shadows once more to reclaim lost glory. In him, the Mandalorians had been strong. In him, they might be again.

That could not be allowed to happen.

Alkor gripped Jormungandr tightly and began to run. Soon, he would be upon them. Soon.

Each blow surged forth after the last, the Sith Lord appearing not to tire even as he rained doom upon his foe. With each step forward, Vaulkhar's onslaught only quickened, but the General was steadfast. Two of the Sith's blows managed to deliver some damage to the Mandalorian, but the third was turned aside before the fourth was parried away by the armored warrior's helmet. Surprise took Vaulkhar as his blade was thrown upward by the maneuver. Pain followed suit as the repulsor took his off balance form square in the chest. He deactivated his lightsaber on reflex and gripped it tight as he was lifted from his feet.

Once more Vaulkhar was flying through the air and it was quickly growing old. That point was further made as his back slammed into the frame Kaine early crashed through and the wind was blasted from his chest. His eyes widened as he gasped for air. He rolled onto his side and began to force himself back to his feet. Midway through the process his gaze returned to the general a split-second before a spray of acid coursed through the air towards him.

Thinking quickly, Vaulkhar grabbed at the ruined table and placed it between he and the oncoming threat. Not quite quick enough, the acid splashed across the phrik armor plating of his left arm. It quickly began to sizzle as it started to chew through the armor itself. Vaulkhar cursed his luck before he lifted the jetpack. He began to pivot on his right foot before spinning a full 180. The jetpack burned to life, searing the plating on his chest and some of the flesh beneath, before he released it. The improvised weapon flew towards the General's chest as the Sith Lord turned and dashed towards the balcony. He hopped atop the railing and clipped the lightsaber to his belt before turning once more towards the palace.

His body twisted back towards the palace while his right hand gripped one of his two grappling hook launchers. He aimed and shot the device up before he jumped from the balcony and began to climb higher atop the palace.

As he ascended, he connected the line to his belt before he began to tear away at the armor plating covering his shoulder and bicep. Vaulkhar's feet made contact with the sloped surface of the palace as more and more of the armor above the elbow was torn away and sent to the city below. A growl rumbled forth from his chest as the acid began its horrific work on the cybernetic prosthetic of his left arm.

Taeli watched with satisfaction as her monsters fell upon the enemy, one of Behemoths barreling right through some sort of vehicle. The unfortunate thing, one of the Brals, was flipped onto its side from the force of the impact and the Behemoth's weight and blades reduced it to crumpled metal and pieces of debris in short order. Other Sithspawn would start seeking out anything trying to shoot them or impede their master's will, the swarms of energy-devouring beetles and poisoning centipedes were slithering under foot and likely starting to cause havoc. Taeli felt the bubble lessen some and smiled... and then her attention was drawn to a peculiar sight. An armored figured was jump-jetting towards her, several small spheres following behind him. Some sort of probe droid no doubt, and... ah yes she could sense the voids they were projecting moving closer to try and envelop her.

She was pretty sure those floating spheres were a mite too small for ysalamiri so that was rather cruel of whoever designed them, and she was a Sith. Well... let it never be said that Taeli Raaf, Triumvir of Power and Lady of Secrets, did not let a poor animal suffer long. After all, the armored Mandalorian, which had to be the commander of the garrison, was heading towards her... and several divisions of Sith Legionaries.

"Shoot the droids, leave the Mandalorian to me," she ordered. "Once we're engaged, advance and take the complex."

Blasters would rise and start blasting away at the probe droids following the Mandalorian coming towards them, none aiming for him as Taeli rotated her shoulders and unclipped her lightsaber from her belt. Scarlet light erupted from the emitter, bathing her and the men shooting behind in its bloody glow. She couldn't remember exactly the last time she fought a Mandalorian... oh Force it was back when she was an acolyte she was pretty certain, some miners or something like that if she remembered right. A very long time then indeed.

She was looking forward to it.

Time. He needed more time.

Darlyn's meditation, the building of the darkside around him, he couldn't do it fast enough. He needed that woman stopped before she could ruin it, though he had plans for her if she did interrupt him. Plans that he could do without fear of what he was planning consuming him. But he would much rather he had time, and maintained his intense focus on meditation and preparing for what was to come. The toxins held no real threat to him, a mandalorian's suit was sealed after all, and he trusted Taozi would have the ship sealed shut and prepared to leave within moments. All that likely stood between them and death now, as far as he could feel, was himself and the few Clan Gred who stood before him. "Stall them." The command rang clearer than anything Darlyn had heard himself say in a long time.

Guess it was pretty serious.

The members of clan Gred not holding the Force Barrier in place moved to intercept approaching threats, Screaming out battlecries as they struck out with the Force, throwing whatever debris they could or sending bolts of lightning towards the oncoming threats. They would die of course, this entire city was already dead or dying anyways. Whoever hadn't already escaped was either fighting for their lives or as far as he could tell, or cared, at this one spot holding the line. What was another crater to a broken world in the end?

So Darlyn continued quietly praying that this Sith would take her time, fight through these brave Mandalorians rather than past them, give him precious precious time. As he continued to focus on the few things important for his plan. The pure, unrestrained hatred Darlyn felt for not just the Sith, but for the Zambrano family specifically, that was very nearly the sole thought in his head building as time continued to crawl forward. He wanted the Zambranos to suffer for everything they had done to his home, for all they did to the few people he cared for and loved. For once in his life, Darlyn was wearing his emotions on his sleeve, and the hatred was nearly palpable, rolling off him in waves.

He knew not how long he could spare gathering this hatred and darkness, as he felt the presence of Joycelyn Zambrano closing with every passing moment. Good, he would enjoy this... Let her come.

Kentarch did not need to taunt the man standing before him. If Hevn did nothing it was a victory for the Mandalorians, every second he was occupied was a second the Mandalorians got to fight somewhere elsewhere. Kentarch was not an offcial asset that the Mandalorian Command knew of, he was completely disposable without consequence. The same could not be said for the Sith and their allies, and the more who came to fight him the more manpower, talent, and time he would draw from the Sith forces.

After a few more moments the Sith spoke again. "Tell me. Why do you fight for the Sith Empire?" Kentarch asked. "They are not your friends, nor your allies. They use you to defeat their enemies. Thats why they win. Not because they are stronger." He shook his head. "Others have come, the entire galaxy has turned on the clans I imagine. Even the confounded Jedi have fought them on other worlds I'll bet. All eating away and dissolving the Mandalorian's territory believing in some misguided notion they are protecting themselves or the common good." Kentarch tone reflected his disdain. "I've seen this before, many times. Propaganda proclaiming the Mandalorians have committed atrocities, likely rogue isolated incidents. Yet even those who assail the clans are really just pawns." As long as Hevn would listen, Kentarch would continue. "Its in this moment of greatest weakness, when the whole galaxy has turned, the Sith Empire strikes. You and the rest of the galaxy have already done their work for them. Divide et impera. One by one, even you will fall before them. But you would not understand because you are a pawn."

Another master of the force was approaching, but Kentarch smirked, knowing it only helped achieve his goals. "I was wondering who you serve. I want to tell your master, that in the end. You were nothing but a coward."

The muffled cuff of her son’s buy’ce against her crushgaunt echoed in Yasha’s mind. Watching her son flung to the ground by a blow upside the head shot into Yasha’s mind almost as cuttingly as Carnifex’s jeers.

She’d hit her son. Reyn pushed into a battle he didn’t understand, and she struck him… just like Aditya. Didn’t Reyn understand why his mother was gone so much of his childhood? How could Yasha trust herself to be loving toward her children, merciful and patient, when she knew none of such things?

Across the buy’ce’e of the Mandalorians, the feed from Yasha’s HUD trilled as a side bar. A signal. The Dark Lord’s blood spilled over his chest plate, on the ground with the Infernal’s growling blow. Darth Carnifex, as with all Sith Lords, bled. They were not indefatigable, but their flesh bent and tore and bled. Even if her blow was somehow mystically congealing, through the genetic trickery of Kaine Zambrano’s clone body and its’ natural regeneration, the blow was struck.

Concept proved.

“I remember. But they don’t.” No Mandalorian forgot an ill laid against them, and none would forget the day the Emperor of the Sith bled on Manda’yaim. “Get off my fekking planet, Koemi. Go home. Or do something sensible, kill the Jetiise… but no, your Generals are hutuun (cowards), and fear extinguishing that Light. Isn’t that why you’re here, and not on Kashyyk? Or did you come for another reason? Waking the Mandalorians to remind us of our agency? Was this a social visit? I am sorry I didn’t lay out the tea!”

’Go for the backs of his knees and the base of his spine. Get him swerving around. I need a diagonal. Keep him off his foundation, force him to move, so he cannot anchor and apply his strength.’ Yasha whispered on her private channel with Ram’ika. The jostled boy lashed forward with aplomb, another quip for the charred air around them. Ground rumbling under her feet, Yasha focused on the much more lethal threat inside. Whomever was creating such a ruckus outside would handle it, or they were all doomed to test their body’s ability to heal. Clicking her head to the side to open it back up to the full comm.

Still swathed in the majesty of the Bral, Yasha hucked half her pole-arm to get Carnifex moving. Once the blade was out of her hand, Yasha raised it, calling forth the Longinus spear. It zoomed into her hand via the repulsors built into the weapon, and with hammer in her left, and spear in her right, the Infernal paced through the flames. Let there be fire.

Her buy’ce and armour protected her against such environmental dangers. But… how much more could the floor of the Palace take? Built to weather even Mandalorian politics, the Throne Room was sturdy, if functionally elegant. There, pacing the fire-torn marble of her once-home, Yasha knew regardless of outcome, she would never see the throne room again.

One duty left, that of a mother salvaging her offspring from the fanged maw of the dragon. As Carnifex’s lifeblood soaked his skin and underlayers, Yasha’s eyes flickered.

Even without the Force his ability to regenerate was shocking, but expected. Yasha swung her hammer in a circle, gaining velocity. Without word or pause, she flung into the air, using the forward velocity of the hammer to aid in her ascent. Vaulted above, Yasha crashed back down toward the meat of Carnifex’s shoulder, hammer crackling with its’ arc reactor lighting in full strike.

“RRrrrrrraaaaaghhh!” Whether the strike hit or no, Yasha thrust her spear at his belly.

And triggered the gravitic manipulators in the dovin basal, to weight him down.

Armor descended to the Palace Grounds far below as Vaulkhar continued his ascent. The acid left deep pock marks as it seared through the phrik armor plating. A frustrated sigh escaped him as the unarmored, prosthetic limb gripped the grapple line. The sigh turned into a grunt of surprise, followed by a pained shout as the wall beneath him exploded outward and sent him into a brief free fall. It was not until the duo began spinning uncontrollably through the air did Vaulkhar realize the Mandalorian General had hitched a ride along with him.

As the two descended from the sky and rocketed towards the palace, Vaulkhar locked his hands together and slammed them down aggressively to his unwanted passenger. Whether they connected or not was of little concern the moment the duo crashed through the transparisteel and shattered the glass-like substance over the dueling rulers. Shards of transparisteel rained down around both the Dark Lord and the Mand'alor.

Vaulkhar managed to separate himself from the General as they impacted against the palace's clear ceiling. The Sith Lord pressed his booted feet against his foe's chest before shoving off. Having afforded himself a dozen or so meters before impacting the ground, Vaulkhar twisted to the best of his ability. The halfbreed's left side and shoulder collided with the ground to break the momentum before impact. He rolled across the throne room's floor as the glassy substance shattered and exploded all around him.

One armor plated hand rose to wipe away a thin line of blood that formed a horizontal line across his face. Bruised formed along his body, but his armor managed to ward off any devastating or debilitating injury. Unfortunately, his cybernetic left arm hung limp at the elbow. At some point during the fall it had caught something, causing the appendage to short circuit in response.

The imposing sight of two massive, larger than life warriors stood before him as if they were spectacle. Vaulkhar took a moment to catch his breath as he watched the battle, though his attention constantly flickered towards the Mandalorian General.

She did not stop and wait, knowing that the element of surprise was their greatest strength. Instead, she had her sabre out and followed up immediately after the pop and flash of the ion grenade. She weaved out to the side away from the bullets, then rolled under the torrent of flame to engage the less prepared of the patrol.

Wren was not so fortunate, she had taken the most exposed position and initiated the combat, leading to her not being quick enough to avoid the bullets of the repeater. Her body hit the floor with a grunt as the other assassins avoided and shielded themselves from the hail of bullets, then found their way after Ophidia, through the spray of fire, out of the fog.

Following her roll, Ophidia rose into a lunge, her sabre slipping under the helmet of one of the blinded Mandalorians. She went only as deep as she needed, slipping the sabre back out and into a swift cut to remove the hand of another. She saw cylinders in the corner of her eye. Had she had the Force, then she could have stopped them, now she could only prepare herself for the-

Flash-BANG

Her ears were ringing, but her eyes were fine. Her helmet had saved her hearing, but took an extra moment to re-calibrate while the visor slowly returned to its original hue. Some of her assassins had been good at protecting themselves from the flashbangs, others not so much. Thus, factoring in the de-ionisation process of the mandalorian patrol, they kept a fairly even ground.

So how would she turn the tide? Smoke and fog.

She dropped the smoke grenade in her belt as the mandalorians charged, she and her assassins pulling back into the cover of smoke and fog. Red blades blinked in and out of existence as the assassins struck and vanished under the shroud of their cloaking devices.

Ophidia herself went for what she could surmise was the head of the operation, the one who had shouted, wielding a mighty ax. Using the smoke and dark to shroud her exact location, she weaved back and forth while closing the distance. She whipped the sabre to the left and stepped to the right to confuse eyes and rangefinders as she slipped the second sabre from her belt and activated it into a stab against Deram’s leg, where the armour was weak.

While known mostly for the popular neck snaps, telekinesis tended to get messier and bloodier at times. Funami had long since discovered that intense feelings of anger or rage exponentially boosted her grip’s strength and produced destructive results. Her violet gaze remained impassive, watching the two now broken bodies levitate in the air like two damaged rag dolls. A pool of red dripped beneath, steadily growing in size.

Eww!

Funami let go and wiped her fingers into her skirt, feeling as if she had held the mess in bare hands. The bodies hit the ground with a splash rather than a thud and rested forever still. Placing her fists on her hips, the Sithling turned around, noting everyone had vanished. The girl pursed her lips and sighed, suddenly feeling especially vulnerable with nobody around to get shot at in her stead. It was a blessing when Sam, Funami’s best friend for the day, came to the rescue. A bit surprising, too, as Funami had not expected the woman to show such concern for a fellow Sith. No pity, no mercy, ruthlessness, that sort of thing saw promotion in the order. Compassion was a weakness and the little Sith had always treated it as such. Her brow furrowed in confusion.

Where the pink-haired Sith would have abandoned Sam without the slightest pang of guilt had the roles been reversed, the brunette had returned to check on her. It was… touching, in a way. And Funami definitely enjoyed seeing others risk everything for her sake. Quickly, she clasped her hands behind her back to remove any suspicion it was her telekinesis that snuffed out the two lives. Practically caught red-handed, the girl adopted a neutral expression and acted innocent, though she felt a nervous smile tug at the corners of her lips.

“It-it wasn’t me. Honest! I have no idea how that could have happened. M-must have been an accident?” The young acolyte shrugged with an impish light in her eyes. “What a pity, they can’t tell us anymore.”

Distancing herself from the twisted carcasses, Funami started toward Sam with the confident strut of a monarch. Despite trying to keep her cool, Sam’s telepathic abilities really had a way of putting her nerves on edge and the girl felt she needed to project confidence to counter the rising fear within.

“I guess Mandalorians aren’t what they used to be. That’s all there is to it.” She said, perfectly manicured eyebrows rising and falling with every word, and forced a polite smile. Unable to cope with the woman’s inquisitive gaze, Funami shifted in discomfort and averted her purple eyes in hope direct eye contact was necessary to conduct mind probing.

“I’ll stay right behind you from now on, okay? I promise.” She quavered tremulously.

"Hollow words, empty words."

The flames set the mood for the fight, billowing wildly as it spread across the ground and up the walls. The heat from the conflagration would be exceptionally oppressive to anyone not wearing protective gear as the flames burned at around a thousand degrees centigrade. His glaive held aloft in his left hand, the Emperor of the Sith hungrily paced outside of the range of Yasha and her whelp's weapons, the emerald flames reflective in his own hateful eyes.

Yasha again initiated the conflict, rushing at him and then soaring up into the air, hammer swinging, to come down right on his shoulder. The armor he wore around his upper chest was composed almost entirely of Impervium, with hermetically sealed thermal gel insulators to disperse kinetic energy imposed upon the outer surface that would otherwise cause catastrophic damage to his internal systems; specifically his bones. The hammer fell, and the armor rose to meet it. A resounding burst of sound rung out from the collision, like the harrowing peel of a temple gong signaling the death of a King.

Or a Queen.

Blade spinning, the Emperor caught the lancing end of the Longinus Spear and redirected it away from his midsection, his left hand clutching the weapon all the while. His right hand, unburdened, clenched into a tight fist. From the dorsum armor plating extended a twenty-five centimeter long blade of pure beskar, its edges studded with backwards grooved hooks and serrated teeth, that the Emperor sought to punch right into Yasha's midsection, directly below the ribcage and into the chest cavity where the internal organs lay.

The Doge's commander looked out. seeing the rain of fire starting to come in. He quickly looked at the helm, calling out an odd order. "Angle the hull! Hurry!" The Mon Cala-like vessel turned her hull, giving it an angle on the other enemy fleet. Her deflectors could reflect fire. So they'd use it! The crew did their best to angle the large ship correctly, and pushed full power into the shields as they were battered by the fire. The vessel shook under fire, being missed by much of it, and haphazardly reflecting some of the fire into the other Sith fleet. This, however, was about as accurate as blind man full of Tihaar trying to shot a scatter blaster at a target a mile away. It was hasty, rushed, and eyeballed. Not aimed. Some explosions on the shields did push through too the hull though.

The Taanabian spirit wasn't so lucky though. She was peppered by fire, but she lacked she lacked The Doge's Ionic shielding. The Ionic fire battered her, disabling the frigate, and leaving her adrift. Even if she could keep fighting, she'd likely be wiped from space the next chance that could be taken. The CR90s suffered worse though. Their already damaged ships were shredded. The crews didn't even have time to escape their fate as the explosions rocked the black around the corvettes. Osik!

Meanwhile, on the ground, the Greds continued to fight. The ones holding the barrier got into the Free Enterprise one by one, releasing the barrier and re-adding to it when they got in. If the ship couldn't turn her shields on yet, they'd make sure she was safe until then!

"Cover me."

When her apprentice called out to Avacyn, it immediately became clear to her what Charlyra's intent was. It was a perfect opportunity to see what she was capable of and so, the Sith Lady obliged her. She brought together the ends of her lightsabers and with a twist they interlocked to create a saberstaff. Then with the stomp of her left foot, a thick wall of stone rose up from the ground behind Charlyra, aimed at shielding her from attacks from behind. The street they occupied was clear for the moment, but Avacyn kept her senses sharp while Charlyra prepared to unleash a wave of Force Destruction.

But the swath of destruction the duo had caused around Sundari had not gone unnoticed. From various entries into the street, hovering drones closed in on them while a shadow being cast from above them alerted the two Sith of the transport that hovered above them. It wasn't until Avacyn entered one of the drones' range that she understood their purpose. The Force around her seemed dissipate and there was a simple answer as to why. Ysalamiri.

And yet, it barely elicited any reaction from the woman, no more than a few words directed towards Charlyra.

"Ysalamiri. I'll clear them out."

Her right hand moved towards her left, which held her saberstaff, and activated some sort of device that was embedded into the gauntlet of her armor. She felt the Force return to her, even though she was still in range, and at the same time a life slipped away. The Ysalamir Neural Disabler had caused the creature within the drone to go into cardiac arrest, killing it. Through the Force, she telekinetically grasped the drone and began walking around the street, repeating what had just taken place with every drone the moment she entered its range. Everytime she did, she carried the remaining durasteel shell with her.

She had an idea.

The trio of Mando'ade attacked as one, working in tandem to take down the Zambrano. Adenn didn't know the 2 guards, but they were still vod, and he'd gladly fight with them against this dar'jetii. Out of the 3 of them, only Adenn's attacks did any damage, no doubt because of some pretty tough armor that the sith was wearing. Seeing that his bolts were effective, Adenn let the rest of the clip loose, all 30 slugs, into the armor of the zambrano to distract him before quickly reloading. At the same time the 2 other Mandos continued their attack.

As the first Mandalorians weapon(sword) connected with the mans lightsaber, he let out a grunt as he attempted to push his weapon down further, even as the second Mandos axe came swinging in to cut into his side. The first didn't see the danger of the dart and subsequently died for it, but he fell forward in death, trying even with his last breath to entangle the sith. While the first Mando died a gruesome death, the second was merely covered in the flames, while he himself wasn't harmed by the flames. Roaring at Praz, the Mando lashed out with a fist to strike the man in the face, before twisting back and away from the sith.

When Praz set off his flashbang, it was futile against the Mandalorians as their visors protected them from such measures. Instead, Adenn could see after a single second of his visor dimming and then refocusing, in that time his battle computer had spotted the EMP. Snapping his arm up, Adenn fired off a burst of bolts at the grenade, ultimately being able to destroy it before it could go off, but only thanks to the help of his battle computer. In that time though Praz was charging at Adenn. Laughing in partial madness, Adenn activated his repulsors and half jumped to the side and towards an angle that would let him shoot at the mans torso and weak points. Then he snapped his gun back to Praz and opened fire again, now actively shooting for the torso area or any gaps in the armor. The second Mandalorian opened up with his own wrist weapon, shooting out his own burst of flame in retaliation for what Praz had done to him.

Elsewhere Clan Mortui forces rushed to help their Alor and assist wherever they could. Gunner was in charge of this contingent, actively working on prior orders from Adenn. The command from earlier had been a pre planned plan, one to attack whoever the target was in a surprise manner. In this case, that target was Prazutis, and the way they were going about it involved explosives and a surprise attack. Gunner himself had an extra void stone with him, to mask his presence even more with all the Bral fields up already.

Turning to the Beskad Elite with him, Gunner breathed a sigh of relief that they were so close to where Adenn was now fighting Praz. Gazing down at the device on his arm that showed where they were fighting. All 20 Beskad Elite were hidden with various technologies to mask them from sith, they were waiting to ambush Praz as he fought with Adenn. Explosives had been set up already, they were just waiting for the go and the perfect time. It was close, Gunner could feel it. Soon they'd join Adenn and kill this dar'jetii, then they'd move on to the next, and the next, and so on until Mandalore was rid of their presence or they were all dead.

As he did his charge he noticed the battle buddies he brought where shot down one by one by one which meant his cover from the force would be gone, He called his spear to him and held it in a battle ready stance as he looked to see Taeli's blade ignited and he felt the force return to him as the last of the droids fell, This will complicate matters but he had a few tricks up his sleeve. He tossed the inferis aside as he stopped his charge until he was a few feet from her as he twirled his spear holding it with his left hand as he looked to her, He honed his mind to block out any mental tricks that maybe used on him ..or at least try too he had no idea what she was capable of so he didn't wish to blindly jump into the battle. He had a large variety of things to use against her now that the force was back into play however if he could use the force so could she.

He stood there readied himself for an attack from her as he circled around her while maintaining eye contact before he spoke.

I would be lieing if I didn't expect this day to come my only surprise is that it took this long to do it, But lets see how this battle turns out sith.

The two duelists broke apart, waves of the blast in the distance breaking the Mandalorian's grip on the chaotic duelist. His visor flared, as if mimicking anger, as the warrior dropped his chord on the ground. In a single motion, he unclipped the other side of his shoulder's cloak, the Mando'ade banner dropping to the ground. He was no stranger to fighting Forcers... been doing so for years. They were all the same, flashy gimmicks to hide a shallow depth to their own abilities. This one in particular was hiding something, though. She showed a brutal tenacity, but displayed a... There she went again. Holding up his left massive gauntlet, Ra began blocking with his hands the tiny sparks that began pelting against his armor. Flashy gimmicks. Meant to distract, he understood the game. An interesting history, travelling throughout the annals of history from felling the One Sith to being peppered by this Apprentice's light show.

No time to dwell on the past at the current moment, Ra Vizsla's resolve would not be deterred.

He tapped his utility belt once, finding the grip of his old vibrospear and extending it with a metallic tccchng.
Holding his hand up to cover his face,
he looked up and saw another Sith running towards them. The more the merrier.
Ra looked up to the sky.
"Ne'tra."

The former Mand'alor continued to speak to nobody in particular.
Large metal doors in the belly of the city began opening, huge passages to the Shelter becoming known.

Standing had proven far more difficult than Vaulkhar initially realized. The oppressive heat bore into him, sweat forming in small beads only to literally evaporate within seconds. The threat of flesh melting from the bone drove Vaulkhar into action. His body pushed beyond the pain and exhaustion as death at the hands of his own father closed in on the Sith Lord. With one arm hanging limply at his side he began the process of evacuating the throne room. Had his armor not been heavily damaged or been capable of absorbing such heat, he'd of stayed to witness the duel between the two opposing warriors. Considering neither of those points were true, he chose instead to turn and vacate the throne room.

Vaulkhar looked back to the still unmoving Mandalorian after several steps. His eyes slowly widened as he came to understand the nature of Kaine's unmoving form. The Sith Lord immediately turned back around and shuffled towards the downed General. As the adrenaline slowly wore off, pain creeped in. The odd angle his shoulder jutted up against the armor plating made it abundantly clear to Vaulkhar his shoulder dislocated on the immediate impact. The searing pain stabbing at his left side with every step spoke of cracked or broken ribs. What blood originally ran down the split lip and horizontal cut across his face all seemed to vanish as the crimson ichor boiled an evaporated along with the sweat failing to coat his flesh. Each step was met with pain, heavy breathing and a growing sense of dread at his luck.

C'mon, stand back up you Mandalorian filth.

Stoicism masked the pain and desperation Vaulkhar felt. Every step closer to the downed General put him one step away from survival, but no warrior deserved this. A death and farewell at the hands of a burning pyre was what many warriors strove for, but this was wrong. It was a cruel twist of fate. So Vaulkhar drove himself forward, limping towards his fallen foe in the hopes of honoring their battle.

The advance of her horde continued, her Legionaries doing their job of eliminating the droids following the enemy commander before advancing themselves towards the facility. She remained where she was, observing the armored figure that had landed in front of her, spear in hand. She could feel the Force flowing from him, a trained presence although... not as finely toned as one who went through the training of the Jedi or Sith. Profile suggested canine... not Bothan or one of the natives of Klatooine.

Anubian? Perhaps, especially considering the style of his armor although she had only dissected a few of the reclusive natives from the world of Ankhypt. Her knowledge base of them wasn't complete, well not as much as she would like. He eyes raked over his equipment. Spear was custom job, songsteel if the slight glow was any indication although it wasn't quite right. Alloy of some sort, possibly with beskar? phrik? cortosis? Any or all of them were possible. Armor was almost definitely lightsaber resistant at least.

As he spoke, she regarded his choice of words and his stance.

"If you expected it, you should have been better prepared and warned your people," she quipped, matching his circling pace for pace. "Not doing so was a dereliction of duty at best, complicity in our plans at worse."

She wasn't about to make the first move, well physically. Unlike other Sith, she didn't rush headlong into fights. One did not learn that way, and she wanted more intel on her opponent before she killed him. Verbally, well...

"Weakness and decay and clinging to that stubborn old pride... such a pity."
