ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • High Automation: By using the ZEUS Mk II as a means to improve and accelerate practically all actions and improve the accuracy of weapons, alongside the fact that it works in similar fashion as a astromech droid, allows for Pilots and gunners of these Vane Class Heavy Starfighters to concentrate on any task they have without hesitation. Thanks to the ZEUS Mk II, this also means the ship in case of emergencies can run on 75% capacity [with each rating -1] in case of emergencies or when the lifesupport system has been activated in dire cases. It also has the benefit of several packages being integrated to upgrade all systems including its own parameters.
  • Great offense: This ship has a very good variety in both air to air, as well as air to ground weaponry, with a decent amount of countermeassures within it's arsenal when put to the test.
  • Solid cyber defense: Thanks to a variety of smart, anti slicing, cybersecurity packages and plug ins, this ship proves to be a very secure vessel in terms of secure communications and protection of its automated systems.
WEAKNESSES
  • EMP|Ion weakness: Though it has some moderate shielding and countermeassures against projectiles, a single solid hit from an Ion or EMP based weapon or projectile may be able to fully shut down this ship's internal systems or at least cut off the ZEUS mk II from the other systems, which would spell disaster.
  • Low squadron count: Due to the great cost of building these Vane Class Heavy Starfighters, they aren't easily fielded and thus their squadron counts are at a low rate, making it so that just losing one of these may be the equivalent of 3 droid starfighters within the CIS navy.
DESCRIPTION
Designed as the equivalent or even superior to the Hyena bomber of the CIS navy, the Vane-class Heavy starfighter utilizes the cream of the crop in term of technological advancement, combining the newest iteration of Nargath Holding's ZEUS droid cores alongside Locke & Key Mechanics' well tested and well proven superior advancements in system upgrades and weaponry. Combining the strengths of both companies in a sleek design able to fit two people and capable of giving most of the standard issue starfighters and bombers in the galaxy a run for their money. Though the CIS prides itself mainly on it's unmanned starfighters and bombers, the Vane-class is ought to be considered the benchmark when it comes to high risk operations for manned starfighters, allowing for the men and women serving the Confederate defense forces with absolute trust in the craft they are piloting.
