Dominion Never a Yag’Dhul Moment | GA Dominion of Yag'Dhul

rDml1hP.png

BBEbigbannerenergy.png

Yag’Dhul, homeworld of the Givin and world of commerce. For decades the Givin have presided over a civilization of plenty. Their every decision governed by mathematics, logic and ratio. Moreover, every trade ship that passed through their spaceports pays a tax and sitting at the intersection of the two premier hyperlanes of the Galaxy? It means the Givin have a lot of taxes coming in.

But while on the surface Yag’Dhul looks peaceful (ironic considering its violent atmosphere forcing the Givin to live in hermetically sealed vault-cities) far more is brewing underneath it than anyone suspects.

OBJECTIVE I: High Noon at Dodecapolis
Recommendations: Senators, Diplomats and Corporations
Givin High Society has invited the Alliance’s cream of the crop to an Ascension Ball. An event to celebrate the coming ascension of Yag’Dhul to the Galactic Alliance as a fully fledged Federate member-world. However, the Givin surprise you when you arrive. Rather than a dull affair with drinks, they present the Alliance with a problem.

Unknown to its wider society, the most brilliant Givin minds have predicted their society is facing ecological annihilation by the end of the decade. If they do not act now, their vault-cities will soon find themselves shattered by increasingly more violent tidal waves.

As such the Givin are asking you for ideas to assist. Nothing is off the table, but it has to be feasible and it has to secure their existence as a species.

It doesn’t take long before the Senate, already divided by special interest groups, begins to scheme. If their group, be that Federalist, Corporatist, manage to crack the problem? They will gain invaluable influence with Yag’Dhul society. The Givin have already suggested whoever brings them the solution will have a dominant presence on the future Alliance embassy for Yag’Dhul.

Nothing less than exclusive influence over half the trade in the Outer Rim is at stake.

OBJECTIVE II: Fistful of Reavers
Recommendations: Jedi & GADF
Members of the Defense Force and Jedi Order are required to establish a forward base to monitor the Rimma Trade Route and the Corellian Trade Spine. Intel has reported that there’s a former Imperial-battle station that has been abandoned and can be repurposed. Task Forces are deployed to the station to clear it out; only to find it occupied by Reavers. Initial hostile contact led to such losses; it was immediately suspected that the Reavers had some sort of Force-based assistance, since they managed to repulse the first GADF wave with little effort. Intelligence suggests they might be supported by shamans who are capable of divining the future to some degree.

This is why the subsequent attempt became a joint-mission between the Jedi and the GADF. Combined with their prowess in pushing back against Darkside influence, the dual approach should be able to take the battle station back.

Control of the battle station will make it that much easier for the Galactic Alliance to expand their influence and project power throughout the region.

A ball combined with an opportunity for corporate and political gain? Be still my beating heart.

In stark contrast to his almost giddy thoughts, Desric nodded gravely as the situation was explained to him. Had there been a shorter timeframe, he might have been concerned instead, but the Corporatist Senator was a firm adherent of the art of terraforming. Taming an out-of-control ecosystem was right up his alley.

Or rather, right up the alley of the people responsible for electing him.

"A difficult situation, to be sure, but certainly not a hopeless one. As you may be aware, the planet I represent was subject to large-scale terraforming operations to facilitate habitation. I have no doubt that your issues could be resolved similarly. The solution may even come from geo-integrated machinery well-suited to prevent future incidents!"

A holographic emitter concealed in the over-the-top jacket he wore displayed a schematic to illustrate the point - tunnels and maintenance sections worming their way beneath a planetary surface.

"Such equipment would be expensive, to be sure, but there are added benefits. Weather control, for one."

All the better to bring nature to heel and bend it to the will of the consumer.

Naturally, such complex machinery would require maintenance, but the Globex Corporation would only be too happy to help in that regard too. So long as an acceptable contract could be drawn up, of course.

Xasha had read the briefing on this world on her way here from Constancia, so she was fairly unsuprised by the fact that the ball, lavish and generous as it was, was an oppurtunity to seek assistance from the alliance. Constancia itself had suffered near complete ecological collapse only a couple of centuries ago and her people had dedicated generations of time and effort to fixing the problem, there had to be something that her government could do.

A diplomat welcomed her and her staff as she walked in "It is wonderful to visit your planet, please inform your government that Constancia is ready to provide scientific and technological aid." she smiled, more than happy to announce her intention, Senator Callisto was not one for playing unecessary political games. She was guided to her seat where she saw a face she recognised, Desric Terassi Desric Terassi a corporatist, not one she had personally met, but one who her people had acquired technology from.

"Good evening Globex, I am glad to see you here, there are certainly corporations that could be looking at the situation on this planet. Xasha Callisto, Senator for Constancia." She offered her hand to shake his politely.

It was almost a hushed murmur as a tall figure in black clothing with a broad black cowboy hat stared at a nearby viewscreen. On the viewscreen that was fourteen feet long and eight feet high, was multiple equations that ranged from rather complex to near impossible calculations. Around him were many other Givin, some from the highest fields of mathematics, theoretical science and structural engineering that the planet of Yag'Dhul had even known. The strange cowboys eyes, slanted yet determined, stared forward at the viewscreen as he processed the information before him. The person in question, has been staring at the viewscreen in this exact spot, for over eleven hours without even a single movement.

Slowly, the stance of the individual in question changed with his hands going behind his back, his voice rising up with a strange bit of grit whom at long last speaking analytically.

"Disproven metal plating source four nine six, Suprasteel. While it can sustain the tidal wave forces for the next sixty years, the upkeep would be in of astronomical numbers and require that if the water table changes drastically as predicted...there will be no way to effectively move the metal underwater and treat it without reapplying more metal sheets in the next ten years apart. With pressure changes along with vessels, even with regards of the ability of your species to survive that kind of possible pressures, the metal will not rebind well without extensive rework. Therefore, it is disproven."

Raising his right Human Replica Hand, he would make a swipe towards the left as it went onto metal plating source four nine seven. Placing his right hand back slowly towards his side, he kept looking at the equations with new variables. One of the reasons why he was here, was compared to most artificial intelligence, he was designed to build and create. With all the knowledge from constructing starships, weapons and with various sources of extensive testing of metal sources not widely known to the galaxy, he was one of the few the Galaxy that could solve equations like this that may take days to weeks. With the HRU capable of running simulations also in his droid mind, he was far more than capable to assist at the task at hand while the others come up with theories for him to run through.

As for the whole reason why he was here in the first place...well, the Hafey Linage has a strange sense of philanthropy when it comes to unique situations such as this. It is unknown if it is programmed this way or not. Examples such as the Bryn'adul invasion where Haon Hafey himself produced weapons to fight against, along with evacuate personal is on record. Though their other side of the coin is also well documented for the terrors they possibly created and the sides they fought with and against. After a bit, Angelus gave a small groan as his head drooped before pulling back up with a quick snap.

"I need to walk...a part of the equations here are not adding up, I need to clear the memory cells naturally."

Moving out of the room, he would enter into a meeting room that was for the incoming diplomatic envoys. Simulating a breathing movement, he would walk out and examine those that had just arrived though a brief notice in his memory banks made some calculations possible. Walking over towards the pair of Humans that had arrived, along with their staff...entourage...whatever they are, he would give a brief nod towards them as he overheard just Xasha Callisto in full speaking form. Tipping his hat towards the pair, he would speak with a bit of grit but was more or less, a gentleman.

"Senator Callisto, glad for some representation to reach this planet in its time of need. They are under some...wildly problematic measures, been at it for about three days now, any form of assistance is gladly accepted. As for you, it is a pleasure to finally meet a Globex CEO in person. I must say your hyperweave is beyond one of the most impressive products last year. I do plan on incorporating it when I open Angelus Arms personal armor division when the numbers match up for specific metals under production."

Giving a faint smile, his mustache was incredibly real...in fact, most of it was real if not for the hat hiding what bit of droid like qualities that it had. Whether or not they heard of him is up to debate, though the striking similarities towards Haon Hafey for those that knew him...would speak volumes at least at the caution some may require or the strangeness of a cowboy standing right in front of them.

Circumstances were, to say the least, dire. The Givin homeworld was on track to become too hostile to be habitable. Within the very foreseeable future the gathering hall in which they stood, at the center of one of the most opulent cities in this region of the Galaxy, could be considered more dangerous than the depths of the jungles on Devaron. The Givin needed solutions and that was apparent in every way they communicated. The man who briefed her was very quick and anxious when he spoke of it, scientists close to the issue held grim looks when she spoke with them. Some of the the less scientifically minded attendees were noticeably less worried that their planet was due to be destroyed in a near fraction of its history. This was clearly something the intelligentsia had noticed the gravity of before anyone else, and in her experience the calamities the academics of the past predicted tended to come true.

And of course, where there is a people in need there is a corporatist to exploit them. She only caught a bit of the hogwash Desric Terassi Desric Terassi was feeding to the Givin but she she still couldn’t help but roll her eyes. As if the destruction of a planet’s natural ecosystem was a desirable solution to any ecological problem, even one with such deadly consequences. Givin was by no means a natural beauty but no planet operating within its natural order should be sullied by the hands of corporations emulating gods. They should at the very least attempt TRY to find a solution that didn’t involve turning Yagh’dul into a completely different celestial body. But no, a man must push his product above all else. Gods know they’d scramble some government money out of it as well. Heavens forbid they cut into those disgusting profit margins for the good of an entire race of people.

But perhaps, maybe, she could turn the tide, poor puns not intended.

She approached the group the corporatist was speaking to, smiling she entered their midst.

“Senator Terassi, I hope you can pardon my intrusion, but I fear that your plan of terraforming has a few issues that many, myself included, may find issue with. There are many thing we could talk about but firstly, above all, I can’t help but think that the process of terraforming along with installation of geo-integrated machinery would be pointless at best, and at worst, a massive waste of time and resources that will only exacerbate the destruction caused by the tides.”

A single glance right...

A single glance left....

An opportunity emerged.

"BINGO!!" Karkosuchus said slamming down his bingo card onto the table in apparent triumph. Awkward silence soon followed as the other individuals around the table glanced over at him in rightful confusion. "Uh...Karko, I think you are playing the wrong game." was the response that followed from a rather short pudgy man seated across the table from a quarren. "What do you mean, I'm playing the wrong game. Clearly when you get five in a row, that is how you play sabacc!" Was uttered from him with extreme confidence. There was no doubt within his mind that this was how sabacc was played and no one would convince him otherwise. He had only recently arrived on the former Imperial Battle station for employment opportunities due to the bounty hunting market being kinda on the downtrend.

Playing this game was just a downtime activity, while he waited for his client to finally show up amongst the reavers. His sensitive snout picked up the scent of the force from some of them, a smell that was understood quite well due to having engaged with numerous jedi from the Sword of the Jedi Valery Noble on Umbara to those Jedi Knights on Dorin. At every turn in his life, there had been a force user causing him trouble. Just once he would have liked to tear someone's arm off and beat them with it.

Although this peace and silence would end suddenly, with the loud ringing of the alarm system going off throughout the station. It was clear that someone was breaking and entering. A tongue brushed alongside the very edges of jagged sharp teeth currently filling his maw in apparent hunger. Reaching over and grabbing his concussion rifle that was currently leaning on his chair, a single check of the ammunition assured him that the weapon would last him since it was his primary.

Like most bounty hunters though, he was a walking arsenal of weaponry designed to handle any complications that might arise.

Damian missed his home, it had been several months of constant travels and meetings, and presently he was nearing the limits of his sanity. Restless sleep, long work nights and continued social interaction plagued the young Du Couteau introvert, who wanted nothing more than to sit in his office on Teta and work on his data-slates. At least then I could sleep without hyperspace exit warnings and litanies of alarm clocks. But Damian knew better than to voice his complaints, not because there was no one to hear him, but because he worried that his words would reach his sister. He could only handle so much social interaction, adding her sass would only compound the trouble and pain.

Rubbing his eyes, a small attempt to wipe away the tiredness from his face, Damian walked along the moving crowds. His job was to maintain a pretty face for those who cared to look his way, and smile should there be any images taken for the Holonet News cycle. Sore face muscles would be his sacrifice, and one Damian would gladly pay if it meant the silence of potential challenges from Teta for his position. He couldn’t play the absentee Senator role, not if he wanted to continue his father’s legacy. The more important work was being handled by his staff, investigating and researching particular shipbuilding guilds and their interests in collective bargaining.

The planet proper was filled with complex politics, and that much so with their shipyards and excellent placement among the trade routes. The legacy of the Clone Wars, and the Rebellion afterwards lead Damian to believe there was a certain political fervor among the working class that could be utilized.

His eyes scanned the crowds as many beings turned into smaller groups, many were business interests and the others potential political friends. Damian crossed his arms and tucked them into his large sleeves, he clenched his hands tightly to his forearms and kept his cape draped over both shoulders. He counted the required minutes for a suitable appearance, and made sure to add a few more so as to not appear rude to the hosts of the Ball. Nobility rules and all, and Damian wanted no one to make the claim he was at all disgracing his family’s name.

"Alright, no splitting up this time. We're acting as the shield for this strike. Runes and lightsabers, protecting each other, and the soldiers with us. Don't break rank, and stay beside me. Understand?"

He turned his gaze to his Padawans. Kahlil's expression was serious for a moment, but it softened to a grin as he gave them a thumbs up. No Sith this time. No Drengir. Just pirates. And shamans, but they could cross that when they got to it. He lowered his hand, settling on the hilt of his lightsaber as the dropship got lower and lower to their destination. The whole room was still red. Just waiting for the moment to turn green and the doors open.

"We got this."

The red skinned Nautolan nodded to his master, wiping any left over water from his lip as he stowed the canteen away, flashing a sheepish smile at Kahlil.

"Shields. Don't split the party. Got it. Heard, Boss." He turned his gaze to Capris, nodding to her briefly in a show of respect while also giving her a thumbs up in encouragement.

Objective I : High Noon at Dodecapolis

INTERGALACTIC SHIPPING COLLECTIVE
YAG'DHUL , INNER RIM
ALIAS : ADAM VERSILI (Minus Medallion)

To say that Adam Versili was thrilled would be an understatement. When he had first heard of the unfortunate dilemma the people of Yag'Dhul were facing and the reward that came to solving their ongoing problems, Versili was quick to take this opportunity. Already his Corporation, the Intergalactic Shipping Collective had begun to expand it's operations across the Colonies and the Inner Rim, comfortably establishing themselves on worlds such as Fondor, Thyferra, Mechis III, Bestine IV and Yag'Dhul itself to name a few. While they already had a considerable presence in regards to the politics and commerce of the region, Versili now found himself in the perfect position to gain a complete monopoly over half of the trade flowing from the Outer Rim into the Core Worlds and doing so would elevate his Corporation to new heights never seen before.

As such before the Caridan Entrepreneur knew it he would soon find himself amongst the Galactic Alliance's Elite within an exclusive Ball held within the Capital of Yag'Dhul discussing all the possible solutions. As the Givin had stated, nothing was off the table but any proposal had to meet to key criteria, being feasible and securing the exsistence as a species. Already some Senators were throwing in ideas such as the Corporatist Senator of Arcadia suggesting that they terraform the planet to alleviate the Givin's issues. But as another senator pointed out, it would be a waste of time and resources considering how much time it would take to terraform the planet.

After the Senator from Devaron finished speaking, Adam Versili decided to step in offering an alternative solution. "I mut concur with the Honorable Senator of Devaron. Terraforming is a process that takes decades at the minimum, to complete. Not to mention it also would require alot of resources that could be of better use elsewhere. Instead a more effective solution would be to relocate the entire planet's population to repulsor-cities that can be placed within the planet's upper atmosphere." Versili began

"I do recall, that the now-defunct Elysium Empire once built a large space station called Damascus Station to house their refugee population. I believe it took them two years to complete the project and now that Station is home to 1.5 Billion Sentients from all across the Galaxy, and is thriving despite the recent collapse of the Elysium Empire. Considering this was done by a Smaller Galactic Government with less resources at their disposal then ourselves i believe we can replicate this project en-masse all across the planet within a shorter timeframe. And as I've outlined earlier, it would be a series of smaller repulsor-cities scattered across the planet capable of holding millions of Givin, similar to Cloud City on Bespin."

The kid was restless. The silent thrum of an impatient foot signaling as much.

No surprise there. Being pulled from one objective to another without a moment's rest was bound to put anyone on edge. Well maybe not Kahlil. Or the bubbly nautolan stationed next to her for that matter but- in all fairness her agitation was derived more from adrenaline than anything. They were walking into a warzone after all. A rather dramatic change of pace. All that was expected of them was simple tactical procedure, void of the mystic bullshit she'd been all but badgered with as of late.

With a look of acknowledgment towards Kahlil, her attention dropped to Rhemti as he drained a canteen in one breath. Oh yeah- Amphibious. No shit. She grinned at his reliable edge of gameness, inclining her head in return. "Yeah- Heard Boss."

Echoing Rhemti with a light-hearted jab, the girl turned her sights on the approaching horizons, nerves fuming.

Boss.

Yeah he missed that. Rhemti's words just brought a bigger grin to his face. Though it dimmed a little as he glanced towards Capris. Right. He'd been dragging her from battlefield to battlefield, hadn't he? There was a loud buzzer. Signifying the approach, the imminent arrival to the fight below.

"When we're done here, what do you both think about sushi? I hear it's good."

They weren't going to have a life of just war and conflict. Not this generation of Jedi. Not if he could help it. There was enough time to get their answer before the light within turned green and the doors popped open. Kahlil didn't waste a moment, hopping right out as his saber burned in a flash of green. Blaster fire was knocked away as he took point. The Force welled around the Master as a set of runs flashed on the ground. Earth heaved and pulled, forming a barricade between those firing and the shuttle of disembarking marines.

"Sushi?!" Rhemti's grin just got wider. If protecting his friends and compatriots hadn't already been motivation enough... "Yes sir!" He drew out his own saber, a slightly different shade of green from his Masters. He leaped after Kahlil, right into the thick of it, deflecting any stray blasterfire that got past the barriers his Master had bring up.

Jalen was positively scrambling. The assault had only just begun and already wounded DF troopers and Jedi were funneling in to their stationary med-bay. He was beginning to wonder if this was the right mission for in-field medical training, given his recurring issues in high pressure situations, still he tended to as many wounded as he could get to, making sure to catalogue their time of arrival and injuries as he had been instructed to. And besides, the chief healer was here with him. What did he have to be worried about. Right?

Well that wasn't completely true. His brother would be out there, as well as a bunch of other people he knew. There was plenty to be concerned about. Still, he had to keep himself focused. If Jalen slipped up at all, someone could wind up dead. That was the last thing he wanted.

"M-miss Amani?" Jalen stammered as he made his way over to her. "We have two more in. One has a completely torn gluteus maximus, a-and the other is concussed. H-head trauma from shrapnel, I-I think."

He took a moment to breath. There was a lot going on.

"I-Is it always this chaotic?" he asked finally.

The dropship was coming in hot to the surface of Yag'Dhul. Their target: An old imperial battle-station now inhabited by a group called the Reavers. Jasper wasn't too unfamiliar with warfare against criminal bands of the like. That didn't make this any easier than fighting any other army. There was a certain kind of terror in the disorganized, the idea that anything could happen. That always made things like this rough. Still, he trusted the marines of the DF. They were good men, well equipped for handling the likes of the Reavers. The knight turned to the highest ranking soldier amongst them, a man named Alexander Hayes.

"Well, it's a pleasure to be flyin' in with you Mr. Hayes," Jasper remarked with a grin. "Not the worst entry I've had, I'll be honest, considering I lost a good chunk of me in one." He took a moment to flex his mechanical fingers before continuing. "You and your boys can focus on laying down fire when we touch down. I'll keep the blaster bolts off your backs... Uh, one second."

Jasper turned to the near by rocketeer, gesturing to the man's warhead launcher.

"Can I borrow that?" he asked.

The marine obliged, and Jasper took the weapon. Letting go of his support, he got down on one knee and fired at one of the old base's turbolaser cannons, turning it into a plume of fire. Even with the launcher's on board computing, that was a tricky shot. The knight was lucky that he had a bit of Force on his side. Jasper returned the weapon to the rocketeer and clasped on to the frame of the dropship once more.

"Sorry 'bout that," the knight apologized. "That was gonna bug me later."

Xasha would be met by a warm smile; despite (or perhaps because) of their conflicting political affiliation, Desric was only too happy to shake her hand. "Glad to hear it, Senator Callisto. The more expertise we can bring together, the better."

The second new arrival earned an appreciative nod, his flattery noted. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Hafey. I will be sure to relay your compliments to the responsible material sciences teams." With praise all his own to boot. The Serennian had enthusiastically taken to the 'smart fabric' - most of his wardrobe incorporated it, at this point!

Alas, the string of pleasant arrivals came to an end with another Concordist and worse.

Senator Lucis' assessment made him raise an eyebrow, but Versili's made him scoff outright.

"I fear there may be a misunderstanding. I am not suggesting we terraform Yag'Dhul to a more standardised environment. Even if such a thing was desirable, it would necessitate moving the very moons themselves out of orbit." An absurd thing to spend time and resources on, when there were plenty of easier terraforming targets out there.

"As for your suggestion, Mr. Versili-" The words were polite enough, but the tone was almost contemptuous. "- I find it defeatist at best, foolish at worst. Such a thing is possible, to be sure, but the cost would be vast, homes and sites of cultural importance would need to be abandoned, the ecosystem would be left to perish, and worst of all the gravitic forces applied by the three moons would increase the risk of critical failures in the needed repulsor systems."

Space stations would be more feasible in his opinion, but it would still be a defeat.

"Instead, I suggest we calm the tides by manipulating tectonic activity. My planet has plenty of experience in such matters, as does the Globex Corporation." Desric gestured widely, a gleam in his eyes. "Minor lunar readjustments may be necessary, but I believe you have calculated their orbits to be semi-nominal at worst?"

This earned a nod from a Givin representative. The moons were the cause of the extreme tides, but they were not the sole cause of the projected increase in instability - and as a result, ecological and social destruction.

"It's strange to think that a world this peaceful can feel so dark," Valery said before her gaze shifted to Cordé Sabo Cordé Sabo , the SIA agent who had joined her on this secretive insertion into the corridor. Most of the Alliance and New Jedi Order currently had its focus shifted elsewhere, but preparations for the final phases of the war could never rest.

Today, it brought them to Osadia, a planet that hadn't been in the spotlight much at all, but the Maw's presence could be felt everywhere within its forests. Something dark had corrupted the fauna and flora in these parts, and hopefully, that would provide the two with a good target for their initial testing.

"How do you want to go about this?" Valery then asked. She had prepared her own part of what would eventually be turned against Exegol if everything went according to plan, but she was no tech expert. She had no idea about what Cordé had brought along and how it would best be put to the test.

But out here, nobody was going to find them, so they had all the time to set up and plan their next move.

While Jalen was scrambling, Amani seemed to be taking things more in stride. She had overseen worse before, and remained confident that they would be just fine. That, and she had simply gotten better at hiding how frazzled these situations could make her.

But a medic needed to stand strong in the face of mounting pressures. The lives of friends and allies counted on it.

The Chief Healer had just finished bandaging up a shoulder wound on one of the latest patients, when Jalen approached her. "Completely torn?" She grimaced in displeasure, but quickly replaced it with an assuaging smile "Always? No, thank goodness. But we must always be ready for situations like these. It's not a matter of if, but when."

She paused a moment, studying the young padawan, before asking simply, "Do you feel ready?"

Things seemed to be ramping up for Alex, now that he had steadily proved himself to be capable of returning to the fight. First was a small mission with Valery, then assisting with a hostage situation with Maeve. Now he was taking part in a larger operation, and much like the previous outings, he had been paired with a Jedi.

One Jasper Kai’el, Knight of the New Jedi Order.

The biggest difference however, was the fact he was in charge of other soldiers today. It was a first for Alex, given he had always been under Aiden Rennek’s command in the past. But now he was in the charge of his own little pack, even if it was for this mission.

No doubt testing to see how well I fit in this area of expertise.

Alex looked over when he heard Jasper speak, and let out an amused snort. “A pleasure to be flying with you too, Knight Kai’el. But please, just call me Alex. ‘Mr. Hayes’ makes me feel old as hell.

He noticed the Jedi’s mechanical arm and went to speak again, but paused when Jasper seemed to become bothered by something they were about to pass by. Alex leaned forwards to watch as the Jedi fired the rocket expertly, hitting his mark on the turbolaser cannons.

The soldier raised an eyebrow at Jasper. “That’s fine, but I’ll admit I’m curious as to why.

Greeted by a hail of blaster fire, Capris loosened her lightsaber from its hilt in a single fluid motion. Without pause. Without question. The opposition was clearly intent on snuffing them out at the root, but they wouldn't get the chance. Not if the three of them had anything to say about it.

At Kahlil's impromptu terraforming she couldn't help but loosen breath of amazement. While simultaneously deflecting a bullet that is. "Damn- Make sure to teach me that later."

With the stray fire whizzing past Kahlil's line of defense keeping her hyper-vigilant, she stubbornly pushed forward. They weren't doing too shabby by the look of things, their numbers multiplying as soldiers spilled from the drop ships in an uninterrupted stream. She knew better than to be optimistic but still, it would be a lie to say their position didn't feed into her confidence.

Confidence that certainly wouldn't last much longer as a stray bullet came hurling its way towards her head undetected.
