STRENGTHS

• VROOM VROOM: The N1 Racing TIE is an absurdly fast and maneuverable starship, capable of achieving "extreme" ratings in both speed and maneuverability
• Stealthy: The N1 Racing TIE is quite difficult to detect on sensors thanks to its coating of Reflect and engine Bafflers
• Compact: As far as racing vehicles go, the N1 Racing TIE is relatively small and compact
• Speed boost: The N1 Racing TIE can activate its Kineso-Switch and SLAM subsystems to achieve even quicker bursts of speed at the expense of a small decrease in maneuverability

WEAKNESSES

• Weak: The N1 Racing TIE possesses only a single pair of L-s7.2 Laser Cannons, making it extremely unsuited to any sort of serious combat
• Fragile: The armor installed aboard the N1 Racing TIE is quite fragile and unable to withstand any sort of serious damage
• Crash: Should the N1 Racing TIE crash at its top speed, it is almost guaranteed to be fatal for the person piloting the craft
• Skill issue: Piloting the N1 Racing TIE is extremely difficult, especially when attempting to do so at the ship's top speed

DESCRIPTION

Ostensibly developed by the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant as an armed courier and single person transport vessel, the N1 Racing TIE was discovered to be an exceptional racing vehicle, hence its redesignation as such. Exceptionally fast, incredibly maneuverable and difficult to pin down, the N1 Racing Tie has all the qualities and characteristics needed to enable its pilots to win any races they might find themselves in.

The secret to the N1 Racing TIE's success is twofold. Firstly, the craft possesses a pair of highly modified J-Type Engines, engines normally seen on an N-1 Starfighter. These overcharged engines allowing the N1 Racing Tie to achieve unbelievably fast speeds while still retaining excellent overall mobility. The N1 Racing TIE is also coated in Reflec and equipped with engine Bafflers, making it far more difficult for other races to determine just exactly where the N1 Racing TIE might be, let alone catch up with the craft.

Though it can operate in space, the N1 Racing TIE lacks any sort of hyperdrive and is generally regulated to atmospheric racing. Usually seen only in service with the Imperial Remnant, at least one model of the ship has been spotted in position of the First Bank of Nar Shaddaa, to be given as a prize to the winner of their upcoming Podrace on Akiva.
