The STU functions as an elite unit within Moonveil’s Asset Protection Division, and is far better trained & equipped than the group’s civilian-staffed uniformed protective service. STU Agents are among the most well-trained privately employed Special Operations groups, and most of the Unit’s members possess Military and/or Mercenary backgrounds. Their uniforms are easily recognizable in a crowd, and Moonveil Employees tend to avoid them at all costs - likely due to their notoriously unfriendly & unhelpful demeanor.
Each Moonveil HQ possesses a single squad (a total of twelve, with four teams of three Agents each).

- Combat Function: STU Agents typically operate either individually or in teams of 3; patrolling their assigned sectors with near-total freedom. Whether alone or working in a group, they are extremely dangerous combatants. Each Agent maintains communication with one-another, and is trained to be highly adaptable, aggressive, and efficient.
Most of the time, fireteams rotate throughout the day, spending a good portion of their time either relaxing or monitoring Moonveil’s extensive security systems. If they are deployed, it is typically in-response to high-threat scenarios which Moonveil’s APD Officers are unable to deal with (which is quite rare). Due to their extensive combat experience & team-training, the STU expertly fights in both Close Quarters & from a distance.
Each Fire-team typically consists of a Rifleman (who doubles as a Medic), a Support Agent armed with a shotgun, and a Designated Marksman. They possess the highest Security Clearance outside of Administrative Staff, and are therefore afforded a high level of trust - should they need to, they are capable of sealing off entire areas of a building, detaining civilians and/or employees & conducting searches. Their tactical proficiency is almost unrivaled in the Corporate Sector, and their professionalism lauded; their number-1 priority is the safety of Moonveil Employees & Property.
Each Moonveil Headquarters possesses its own STU Team, and each team has been entrusted with the highest level of security clearance & near-total freedom. STU Teams train within whichever location they are assigned and are highly familiar with the layout of their individual assignments; knowing every door, room, stairwell, closet, office, entry, and exit. This is done to ensure they are better prepared than any invader - including prior employees.

With Moonveil’s presence growing on a number of worlds with a history of violence & turmoil, (Nar Shaddaa & Denon, specifically) the Board of Directors identified the need for a dedicated tactical unit. High-risk engagements may be rare, but in the event that local authorities are unavailable, the STU is capable of dealing with these circumstances with professionalism & poise.
Each individual member of Moonveil’s STU Teams has been recruited from various mercenary groups or chosen from various militaries across the Galaxy. Some have been comrades in the past, and as-such, are already familiar with one-another. After enduring a difficult selection process and weeks of training, teams were formed based on either personal preference or available skills. These agents are among the highest-paid in the company, and enjoy numerous benefits - including paid vacations & health benefits.
