  • Foldable barrel-mounted bipod.
STRENGTHS
  • Precision Rifle: The BAW-78's low rate of fire and high range allows it to deal high amounts of damage against far-away targets with unprecedented precision. It's barrel-mounted bipod and RWA-M1 Integrated Weapons Scope help increase the accuracy and precision of the rifle.
  • Reinforced: A duranium exterior and a coating of liquid-aenite mineral compound prevent external damage from conventional weaponry and environmental conditions. At the same time, SACG-23S shock-absorbent gel prevents any interior damage.
WEAKNESSES
  • Good as the User: The BAW-78 is a precision rifle, but doesn't feature any sort of auto-aim. A user must be trained and experienced with the rifle, or any sort of blaster, to be effective at long ranges.
DESCRIPTION
The BAW-78 Precision Blaster Rifle is Roble Manufacturing's latest model of blaster rifle. Unlike its cousin, the BAW-77, the BAW-78 favors high damage and long-range precision over a high rate of fire. Along those lines, the BAW-78 is extremely effective at medium-to-long ranges, where its high damage output and precision over long-range truly shines. The BAW-78 also features a bipod attached to the forward barrel of the weapon, that can be folded up-or-down depending on use. When deployed, the bipod allows for more precise aiming over long-range and reduces the vertical recoil of the weapon. In addition to that, an RWA-M1 Integrated Weapons scope on the weapon allows for enhanced optics that only serve to further increase the blaster's precision. However, a weapon is only as good as its user, and those with poor aim or low experience will not find their precision to be magically increased. Despite that, in the hands of capable marksmen, the BAW-78 is truly a weapon of surprising lethality.
