There was a couple, Garvan and Lena Fhirdiad who worked as interstellar scouts/aid workers, often operating in Wild Space. In the midst of one of their travels, they saved a Mandalorian mercenary named Jorel Merrik. Indebted by their compassion the latter became their protector for a long time. Called home on family business, Garvan returned to Alderaan, leaving Lena now pregnant in the care of Merrik. However, he was slain by unknown assassins.

HISTORY
Learning the truth soon after Lena was wrecked with grief.
She tried to live on yet died two weeks later in childbirth onboard her ship but not before naming her daughter Minevra. Merrik was now left alone with the child. He took the infant Minevra, adopting her as a founding. While raising her in his view of Mandalorian culture the old veteran noted the girl had an adventurous spirit like her deceased parents and encouraged it.
Eventually Minevra became of age and chose to be a Mandalorian and remained at her father's side for years to come. Eventually Jorel was fatally wounded during a mercenary operation they were both hired for. Before his death the aging veteran confided his regrets about the fate of Minevra's parents and his concerns for their people. With his last breath Merrik requested that she burn his body, scatter the ashes on Mandalore and to forge her own path as a warrior.
Minerva honored Jorel, cremating him and scattered his ashes among the winds of Mandalore aa wished and set out alone. She wandered alone for a time, picking up merc contracts as they as long as she found them acceptable.
After joining the Mandalorian Enclave the young warrior was just starting to serve with them, however she had a freak accident with her ship's hyperdrive thrown the young woman years into the future. Initially bewildered upon finding out Minerva nevertheless sought out and rejoined the Enclave, serving faithfully for a time.
Following the Enclave's blood soaked summit with the Empire and being rendered confused and frustrated by how it happened she wandered for a bit. Then Minerva decided to volunteer with the Galactic Alliance in order to honor her people and avenge their blood spilled by the Maw and the Empire. In the course of her service she chose to stay in the military even with the victory over the Maw at Exegol and the Empire's collapse. For her efforts Minerva was promoted to sergeant then later lieutenant, commanding a special force unit codenamed Strike Force Talon.
She led her team in carrying out missions against Mawite holdouts and assisted in major operations, most notably at the battle of Elom. In recognition of this Minerva earned the rank of captain and the unit expanded into a whole company. As that was happening she learned of the Enclave's resurgence and considered returning to the fold despite conflicting reports involving them at Riishi. It was only upon witnessing the raid against Kashyyyk by Enclave elements and independent clans that faith in her former comrades was shattered. She fought against them, alongside the Wookiees before helping some escape off-world.
In the aftermath she rejected the Enclave completely to pursue her own way as a Mandalorian and continued serving in the Alliance military. Then after years with them, inculding forming and leading Strike Force Talon through various operations Minerva decided to resign her commission with the GADF. She had decided to join with the Mandalorian mercenary group, Strill Securities.
However, she drifted away from them before becoming a freelance mercenary again. Even still Minerva felt aimless and without purpose. Eventually the warrior decided to return to the Alliance military before fighting alongside them and the Jedi on Cathar against the Neo Crusaders. Minerva found herself teaming up with Captain Anchat Anura and his Droid Squad. Not long after the battle she met with the captain and officially joined the team as Anura‘s second in command.
