LFG Manda'yaim Freedom Corps - Minor Faction Interest Check

Ivirk Tavlar aided us in our time of need, releasing us from the shackles of the Sith. Our world was scarred and broken, our people scattered to the wind like the seeds of the Ironweed. But the Empire's Iron Will shared amongst our people helped us persevere. Times would change. Or so we thought.

Steelpeckers and Ice Vultures filled our elite and they grew fat off the "aid" of the Empire. Though the Old Enemy has been defeated nothing on our world has changed. While those Mandalorians that lick the heels of the Empire like a Vornskr pup the rest of us have had to scrape by in the Empire's Beskar mines. We are treated as elite soldiers and one of the Empire's greatest victories yet we are treated no better than the Chiss.

But that ends now.
The Empire is in Chaos

The Mand'alor has returned

and Manda'yaim awaits his return

The soil is wet with the blood of our forefathers and is ready to be tilled.

We speak again the ancient oaths

One people under Mand'alor

One people for Manda'yaim

OOC: The Mandalorian Freedom Corps, galvanized by the Mandalorian Enclave's defeat of the Death Watch and the apparent return of the Dark Saber, strive to re-take Mandalore from the increasingly isolationist Empire. Mandalorian Governors, Moffs, and Officers have imposed their power over the last several decades under Imperial rule. The MFC seek to free Mandalore from the rule of these Imperial Mandalorians and prepare their homeworld for the eventual return of Kranak Viszla, whom they claim as the new Mand'alor and his Mandalorians. Their goals also include the destruction of the Gruag Plague that still remains on some parts of Mandalore, the eradication of the subterranean mutants, pushing the Vong back behind their walls, the purging of any Sith remnants, and the exploration and potential resettlement of the Great Glass Sea.

This is a minor faction seeking to bring together Mandalorian and Imperial writers into a single minor to fight over not just the Mandalore system, but the entire Mandalore sector and beyond, using their goal of a free and purged Mandalore to engage with other factions as mercenaries to further their war against the Imperial Mandalorians. Yes, ostensibly this boils down to another Mandalorian Civil War to get that bit out of the way, but let's be honest. We're at our best when we're fighting each other anyway.

Seems like something I might wanna bring Cyran into. Mostly stays out of the typical Mandalorian drama. (perhaps that's to be a little expected being a member of Clan Awaud) But I've been thinking it'd be nice to get him more involved with Mandalorian stuff, and make him feel like he is worthy of his Beskar'gam.

This sounds great, and I'd be very interested in joining. Janik hasn't been a part of the previous stories, however. Hopefully, there's room for his acceptance into the Manda'yaim Freedom Corps.

The Mandalorians of Breshig do not support this darksaber defined method of naming the Mand'alor and won't acknowledge a Mand'alor by this method, but as stalwart adherents of the SuperCommando codex as dictated by Jaster Mereel, we'd be happy to support those that wish to espouse a similar way of life to the one outlined in it.
Same. It was just a lightsaber owned by a Mandalorian Jedi. Big deal. Corbin is a Mandalorian Jensaarai with a purple darksaber that is probably stronger that the actual Darksaber, and he doesn't claim to be Mand'alor.

Also, he's the type that hates Mandalorians fighting amongst themselves. Just for that fact, he'd be more likely to not pick a side and stand in the middle.
