Mandalorian Tournamentarium: Clans of Mandalore Dominion of Velmor

Mandalorian Tournamentarium
Clans of Mandalore Dominion of Velmor

(OOC: Want to join? Let [member="Yasha Cadera"] know! There’s still room!)
Objectives: 1) Join a Team of 2 & participate in the Tournament
2) Watch the cavalcade/Enjoy the King’s Private Diplomatic Box.

While many planetary systems found diplomacy the best option, and other Slaver-based were taken by force of arms, this was a far less vicious place. Velmor was a planet of nature, and respect for the arts! Human Velmorians and Insectoid Velmoc wanted only one thing:

A proof that Mandalorians were powerful protectors. King Tirin of Velmor sat upon his dais, in the beautifully crafted arena, which in truth spent much more time as a showcase of Velmorian and Alderaanian beauty and artistic standards, than a fighting ring.

The quest was a simple one: If the Mandalorians fought bravely against their peers, aided by the simulated weaponry (which would cause pain, but no lethal harm) created for each individual, then the Velmorians would join the Mandalorian Empire.

“Helllloooo! How are my gorgeous peoples a-todaay!?” King Tirin stood up, waving his hand in a royal wave, as he grinned through bleach-white teeth. “I am fantastic, thanks for asking! And I am fantastically excited to formally begin our Mandalorian Tournamentarrrium! Snaps to the Mandalorians, people! Snaps! So many snaps!”

He raised his elegantly clad wrist, and shook the gilded bell, which started the event.

Team Aleph & Vav ([member="Yasha Cadera"] & [member="Skorvek"] Vs. [member="Mig Gred"] & Tamar Cadera)
The field of battle was interspersed with a maze, in which the two teams of two were placed one team per side. At the ring of the bell (elegantly held by His Effervescently Floral Majesty), Yasha & Skorvek, Mig & Tamar were to seek out each other, and prove the mettle of Mandalorian might!

Tamar, dressed in her Clan Raxis Beskar’gam, stuck close to Mig’s back, pulling out her modified blaster pistol and waiting for the bell.

“You could have picked a warrior as a partner, Mig… I’m afraid I haven’t fired a weapon since Adara had her baby teeth.” Tamar couldn’t help the grin on her face, evident in her voice. She bounced beside Clan Gred’s Alor, checking over her pistol one more time.

“What’s our plan?”

Team Bet & Gimel ( [member="Noah Corek"] & [member="Alexandra Feanor"] Vs. [member="Adenn Kyramud"] & Partner (@Tyrian Numek ? [member="Varian"] ?)
For this quadrumvirate, the battlefield laid with hillocks and crannies. Enough places for one to both hide and ambush their opponents, while making in on the singular goal. In the middle, a flag of golden armourweave perched upon a high hill.

The target, as it were…
HNPYI3y.gif

Team Dalet & He ( [member="Beth Cadera"] & [member="Cleru"] Vs. [member="Sterling Kinslayer"] & @Azure Dijtred )

Whilst other teams were of a more pugilistic nature, many of the Velmorians longed to see their most popularly betted on teams. The Medic & Engineer division.

Before Team Dalet & He, a simulated battlefield laid amidst fake buildings built up to their second levels. ‘Injured’ soldiers and civilians laid or groaned, while an insurgent group of ‘terrorists’ prepared to continue the attack upon the mock Velmorian village. Actors from the local Velmorian and Velmoc populations sprawled round, medi-tags clipped to their carapaces, or tunics depending.

The task at hand?

Take control of the situation, and heal as many civilians as possible! WHO could do it better!?

Team Open

In the midst of the arena, on a raised platform, seven ranged weapons sat on individual pedestals. This platform was open for any Mandalorian or Ally, who wished to participate in the climactic final event: A mock battle.

Objective 1
Allies: N/A?
Enemies: [member="Noah Corek"] [member="Alexandra Feanor"]
Other Tags: [member="Kanta Tukka"]
--------------------------------------------------------------
Another planet, another chance for people to join the Mandalorians. However, these people didn't want simple diplomacy, they wanted to see what the Mandalorians could do in battle. Of course the Mando'ade accepted, why wouldn't they. This was the perfect way to prove themselves and to let loose and have fun. That included Adenn, he heard of this tournament, and decided to join. However, he had a specific target in mind, one [member="Noah Corek"].

The reason for that, well it was complicated(OOC meme turned real, xD). But that's not what mattered, what mattered is that Adenn was going to be facing him, and one [member="Alexandra Feanor"], who his ally was. Adenn didn't know yet, but that hardly mattered to him. He'd complete this little mock battle, and do it well. Adenn had all his normal weapons with him(see BIO); his blasters were set to non-lethal, and his lightsaber was set to training mode. his armor was also prepared, specially cleaned for this event. It didn't have its usual dirt on it, instead it was almost pristine, if it weren't for all the scratches across the armor, and the gashes. He was ready for a fight, and a big one at that.

All of that thinking came to an end though as soon as the King spoke. Turning his gaze to said man, Adenn listened and observed. He was more than ready to bring the pain. The second the bell rang, Adenn was off with a loud shout of "Oya!" He had been briefed beforehand on what the target was, a golden armorweave flag. Adenn was determined to get it first, with an ally or without. And so, he was off, running towards the target, keeping an eye out for his opponents.

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando
Objective 1
Allies: [member='Adenn Kyramud']

So Velmor wanted to see the ferocity of the Mandalorians before joining them eh? That was fine by Tyran. He made it to the planet for the tournament and found himself in a mock battle with [member='Noah Corek'] and [member='Alexandra Feanor'] He wasn't too familiar with either of them but that wasn't going to mean he was going to take it easy on them either. When he discovered his partner was Adenn he found that an interesting pairing. Normally he didn't care what his armor state was, he wasn't trying to make a good impression on his usual clientele, why should he go to all the effort for Hutts? Velmor was a little different though, it was their King who had called for this tournament and Tyran had decided to clean up his charcoal colored armor a bit, even though it was still dented and had a few gouges across its surface.

He stared up at the King's box as the man spoke. Snaps? Tyran thought to himself with a bit of a raised eyebrow. "You ever been snapped at?" He said to Adenn. "In a positive way?" Tyran pumped his arms a few times as he waited for the snapping to die down a bit. His weapons had been tuned to non-lethal settings before he'd entered the very ornate arena. The golden armor weave was the target and there weren't any restrictions on how the teams were to get it which allowed him and Adenn a bit of creative freedom that Tyran was certain they'd take advantage of. When the bell rang he shot off after Adenn watching for their opponents as he made his way through a few of the narrow crannies that made up their particular battlefield for the day.

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
Objective 1
Allies: Tamar Cadera ([member="Kanta Tukka"] )
"Enemies": [member="Yasha Cadera"] , [member="Skorvek"]

Mig smiled a bit at Tamar as he held his modified Trayc'kad. He didn't let them touch it. He changed the stuff out himself because, well, no one was there he'd trust to touch it. He smiled a bit more before finally answering, and speaking with a slightly carefree tone. "Well, I really wanted to do it with you. Plus I figured it'd be fun." He then looked around a corner as his partner asked if he had a plan. "Well, Skor's definitely gonna be tough, but he's not as quick. Could get him to a narrow area. Yasha though... not sure yet. We just have to be sure they don't jump us."

Objective 1
Allies: [member="Yasha Cadera"]
"Enemies": [member="Mig Gred"], Tamar Cadera

It was one of those rare occasions that he got to fight with Yasha and test the mettle of two of the fellow Mandalorians, He didn't know much about the abilities of Tamar Cadera but he knew Mig had some experience with the use of the force but how far that was is unknown to him which is something he will have to be cautious and test out when ever they find them. He dawned his Beskar'gam and h is war hammer that he held in one hand for a moment before he spoke.

This will be a interesting battle, Lets hope our opponents will be ready for us if we find them.

He kept with Yasha as he looked around his surroundings and even reached out with the force with his senses to see if he can find them or get some form of mental map of the maze, Its a game of hide and seek before the battle which was fine by him rather then jumping straight into the fray.

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Objective 1:
Allies: [member="Noah Corek"]
Enemies: [member="Tyran Numeck"] [member="Adenn Kyramud"]
Equipment: Rifle, Sidearm, Spear, Jacket
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexandra stretched, her hands twisting at the rifle's grips as she crawled into her position and set up the weapon's place on a hill overlooking the area as best she could find.

And beside her was [member="Noah Corek"], sitting with a pair of binoculars and giving her far more information on the area as her world will quite literally be at the end of her sight, and whoever her barrel is aimed at. It wasn't hard to prepare the first shot and she knew Noah would help her with the aiming, all they needed was the bell to sound and the round to begin.

Their location wasn't too hard to find, atleast not normally, but Alexandra worked her magic and messed with the way the light came down over where they were, hiding them from visible sight. Heat detection and all that would still work, she could not change that so easily but she was more than able to mask their visible presence from the human, or near human, eye. Her grip twisted on the weapon again and she turned it towards where their targets were, careful to keep a small window where the light was not disrupted and her own view was not hindered. It would give the slightest of glints though, like one would expect from light hitting off the metal of a barrel, but that would hopefully be reduced thanks to her manipulation elsewhere.

Her voice rose as she spoke to noah, hoping to catch his attention.

"We can't remain like this forever. If things do change and they get close to the armorweave, ill drop my position here and move forward quickly. You cover me and get up there as quickly as you can." She knew she would end up taking point if the current plan failed. Between the way her body worked, and the Force itself, she could make up the distance that was lost by remaining stable in the opening phases, Noah could not.

"Oh and I think ill aim for Kyramud first, a little gift for the one we know?" She grinned, the more feral, battle drunk expression she wore during fights starting to shine through as she breathed in and looked down the scope, pointing her rifle in that direction. She would wait for the instructions from noah, the elimination of any variables, and when that was done.

A single crack would break any silence that had settled in.

Objective: 1
Allies: [member="Skorvek"]
Opponents: [member="Mig Gred"] & Tamar

“Interesting, indeed. Tamar was trained in the Sith Emperor’s House as a line of defence for his wives and children… I expect there is plenty of her talents we’ve yet to see.” When Tamar asked if she could join the tournament, at first Yasha was only excited for her friend to get out more and away from the kids.

The more she pondered it, the more Yasha wondered how combat capable the Nanny was. Seemed to take to blasters just fine…

“Watch for Gred…” Yasha looked up to the walls of the maze, and stifled a grin, as she climbed up to the top, to get her bearings. crouched on the 10 inch wide wall, Yasha scanned for movement and Infrared, which… blast it! Her IR scan wasn’t working! “They’ve dampened our sensors… wait… that way.”

Hopping down, Yasha nodded in the direction she saw Mig’s buy’ce. She pulled her pistol and walked forward, as the sounds of buzzing caught her ears.

“What is…” Dozens of bee-like laser sighted droids began buzzing into the maze, firing in flippant patterns. Yasha raised her pistol, and started firing. “Oh goody! More things to hit!”

EDfUZH1.gif

Tamar:

“Fun!?” She grinned under her buy’ce, a timid laugh peppering out of the once-slave. “I’m stuck in a maze with a hot date looking to shoot Sloobieboo and Yash in the face, while a planet of artists and ecologists cheer.”

Easing to the far wall, Tamar kept herself on guard, pistol raised to check the other side of the corner from Mig. “I’m having the time of my life!”

She nodded for him, letting Mig know there was none of their opponents in the next corridor. A buzzing struck the air… and Tamar stopped moving.

“Miiiiig? Are those… bugs?” She gasped and laughed out, readying her pistol.

Medic. Fortress.

Today he played two roles, and he was excited to do so. He rolled his neck, feeling the stress leave his body as he considered the scenario. Find individuals, administer first aid, and secure a safe area. Truly he was to be living up to such titles today as he proved his ability. Beth was an ally but today they would be competing, and Sterling was not one to so easily allow himself to be put aside. Not to mention it was a chance for Azure to work alongside him, and determine certain aspects of her for himself. He ignored the man speaking to the crowds, until he was alerted that it was in fact time to work. He looked over the area, as he handed Azure a datapad configured to work with his brought technology, before pointing out the nearest mostly stable, fairly large looking building. "Camp."

With that the large man went to work, opening the doors of this first two level building, and looking for threats. When he saw none, he took the time to reach first into his leg mounted pouches, and up above the door place the first Echolocation device, planting it to the wall and folding it outward to activate it. Almost immediately it pinged, sending an alert to both Sterling and the datapad that it was functional, and leaving Sterling to nod quietly. That would do for if anyone entered there, now onto finding the injured and setting up the infirmary...

Who was going to do it better? Beth could easily tell you that based off of her relatively miserable mood. It had been a few weeks, maybe a month after the crash. She still remembered that kid begging for his life before his mother ripped him apart. The screams… Beth jumped a little, not happy to think about it, but her mind still pulled there.

She’d heal. Just like Cleru would. But it’d take time. And… Beth put her hands on her stomach, not enjoying the rumbling feeling she had. Beth wasn’t going to do combat, no. She’d ‘heal’ the Velmorians. She had made that clear to all involved before she even agreed to it. She had enough fighting, and with her bruises finally mostly healed from the incident, she didn’t want more. She literally only wore scrubs. Comfy, relatively loose, and medically professional. Her beskar'gam and gun had been destroyed in the crash, anyway. She hadn't even had time to get a replacement.

And Beth nearly wished she had chosen fighting. Maybe it was a little xenophobic of her, but she just couldn’t stomach giant bug people at the moment. Those creepy eyes… Ugh, she knew they were good people but. It didn’t help with how generally not well she felt today. Beth rubbed her arms as the had to go forward. Beth immediately went to the first civilian she found, taking the first ‘injured’ individual and pulling the medkit from her back as she ‘fixed’ his broken arm. She wasn't quite sure what Cleru was choosing to focus on, nor what their 'enemies' were doing.

It was going to be a long day…

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
Mig smiled under his helmet, blushing a bit when Tamar said she was with a hot date. He was happy she seemed to be enjoying this, cause he knew he was. Plus, it was nice to be doing something with her, even if he could end up being stomped by [member="Skorvek"] or [member="Yasha Cadera"] if he made the wrong move. He then looked over at Tamar, nodding. "Glad you're enjoying it."

Then he heard a buzzing. The alor looked around until he heard Tamar. Bugs? He turned to see what she was talking about, smiling a bit as he flicked his Trayc'kad into firing mode. "Um.... I think their drones." He then began to fire his blaster.

It had been about a month since Cleru and Beth had been rescued from that.. Hell of a planet. As an Agent, the Chiss was use to the brutal reality of life and death, but what he saw there. What could of happened to either one of them. He still woke in a cold sweat, his dreams filled with the thought of watching Beth being torn apart and having to shoot her so she wouldn't be in pain.

His grip on his pistol tightened at the memory before he blinked his red eyes and remembered where he was. He was acting as an assistant to Beth, not really something he was use to. He had limited medical training, enough to patch himself up on a mission so he could either finish or get extracted without bleeding out. For now he just set about organizing the 'injured' by the severity of their injuries, anything to help Beth get done what she needed.

At least they were with each other.

Allies: [member="Cleru"]

"And you're all 'set'", she commented to the Velmorian as she stood up. She brushed her hands on the scrubs, a deep sigh. She gave a glance to Cleru as he began triage. That was... Seriously, what she should have done first. Beth blushed, realizing how out of it she was. Could she just forfeit at this point? Ugh, why did she agree to help annex a planet like this. She pushed some hair behind her ear, as she touched her stomach again, trying to settle it down. The motion of sitting to standing was too quick.

She gave a nervous smile to Cleru. She had to talk to him, soon. And to [member="Yasha Cadera"]. She had closed off, trying to adjust and keep her mind sane over the past couple weeks.

Beth squeezed his shoulder. She knew how much it had impacted him, too. The nights where he awoke, afraid. The never ending nightmares. She was there. And still there, on some nights. If it hadn't been for [member="Manu Xextos"], she'd probably have been in a lot worse shape. "This is really great - I should have started with this, actually," she admitted to him with a little sigh. Not that great of a medic after all, was she?Beth went to work on the most 'injured' of the Velmorians.

She bit her lip as she watched Cleru out of the corner of her eye, her guilt gnawing at her. Usually perky ears were nearly halfway to depressed as she made her 'repairs' to the human.

Simple then if they made it impossible to track with our tech then we use our instincts to find them, Its good to use the old ways every now and then. He nodded when she mentioned Tamars training and to keep and eye out for Gred, He only seen gred in action for a short time and knew nothing about Tamar at all. He kept his senses alert as he saw Yasha looking around for a moment before leaping down he walked forward with her before the sound of buzzing was heard, He saw the bee like droids buzz into the maze and start shooting a few bolts hit his armor but it was like throwing pebbles as a Basalisk war droid and did nothing but annoy him a little as he either swatted some away that got to close to him or sent small short bursts of lightning at the swarms. He kept with Yasha as he felt out with the force for Mig's presence as well as kept his hammer at mid length of the handle so that he can quickly use it if need be.

You were the right person to team with, after all.” Yasha grinned under her helm, as the buzzing droids veered toward their duo.

“Hah! These Velmorians know how to throw a party!” Flying buzz droids. They met with Yasha’s hammer, and with shots from her pistol. The task of finding [member="Mig Gred"] flashed in her mind. These distractions could meet [member="Skorvek"] ‘s wrath.

As she rounded a corner, knowing up in the stands [member="Kaine Australis"] was watching over them and elsewhere her daughter [member="Beth Cadera"] was bonding with @Cleru. Who... if she was honest, Yasha kind of liked. He was good to Beth, even after their unpleasant accident. She swung her hammer at another buzz droid, laughing at the thought of [member="Adenn Kyramud"] & @Tyran Numek tussling with her cyar’ike [member="Noah Corek"] and [member="Alexandra Feanor"]...

This was beginning to be the best planetary dominion she’d ever undergone.

“Onward, Sloobieboo! Oya!!” Yasha yelled, her booming voice carrying with rare, wonderful mirth.

Tamar balked and raised her pistol, giving out a yelp when she shot one of the buzz droids, and it skittered to the ground buzzing at her feet.

“Eeek! You pesky picnic wrecker! Begone!” She pulled her leg back, and kicked the thing. It sputtered down by Mig as Tamar trotted to him, her body moving with an alacrity and pep nobody was used to seeing. “Hehehe oh this is fun! I do love a good firing exercise!”

One of the downed bugs divebombed her, and Tamar screamed with a giggle, tossing her back against the wall beside Mig.

“Even if I hate bugs! Save me. Hahaha. Just kidding, I’m gonna save you!”

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
Mig looked over to Tamar, chuckling a bit as he shocked the droid she sent his way. "Same here! Wasn't expecting this though!" He then sent more lightning into some of the bug droids, and slashing one of the closer ones as Tamar put her back to the wall next to him. He smirked under his helmet, saying jokingly "Really? Pretty sure I'm gonna save you." Mig could then feel someone reaching for him. [member="Skorvek"] ! The alor had an idea, but wasn't sure it'd work. Mig grabbed a bug droid with the Force, and quickly sent it in a random direction. Yeah, maybe Skor would find them sooner, but maybe the little droid would throw the big guy off if he kept a Force grip on it.

A test. A challenge. A competition. Azure frowned as she walked into the arena. She found such a test for the Mandalorians pointless, really. She had seen members of other clans fight. Everyone in the galaxy knew of how skilled the Clans were in combat. Even this "medics versus medics" was pointless. There was no real urgency to false injuries. No risk of death, or trauma. A quiet sigh escaped her lips as she walked beside Sterling in the arena, taking the datapad with care.

"Camp? I suppose that would be a wise choice. The building looks quite defendable too." Azure followed Sterling inside the building, and quickly cleared away any rubble inside to make an infirmary. "I'll work on setting up in here, you go find civilians."

“Kaine, old boy! Wonderful to see you at our little event. Not out there yourself, are you!? Oh hoh hoh hoh hoh, no, not for you, this milling about with the regulars. No no!” The King bumbled, sloshing the grain alcohol in his most peasant-ish drink. No one dared tell him it wasn’t quite as peasant forward as he’d thought.

No one dared snicker and laugh, except at opportune moments, while the series of holoprojections of each event peppered through the crowd. The Royal Box was filled with good natured artists and politicians, not a militant bone between them. One such artist was doing caricatures in the corner, sketching away with a collection of pastels on honest to antique paper.

The Buzz Droids plagued [member="Mig Gred"], Tamar, [member="Yasha Cadera"] and [member="Skorvek"] , while crowds cheered for how virulently the droids were destroyed while the groups neared each other.

In the duel between [member="Alexandra Feanor"], [member="Noah Corek"], [member="Adenn Kyramud"] and [member="Varian"], the ground shook. The flag sprung up! Running around on two little droid legs. It would not be an easy capture! Hoh hoh!

By the medics’ section, actors from local theatre companies gave their best performances of near-death flailing about. They made terrible, but comedic patients, one whispering up at [member="Beth Cadera"] as to whether he was milking the injury for all he was worth? Another raised a ‘gun’ (nothing more than a toy blaster pistol) at [member="Cleru"], with a,

“Have at thee, enemy man!” Before flopping over a barricade.

The injured by [member="Sterling Kinslayer"] and [member="Azure Djitred"] flopped and groaned, one crawling closer to the pair… as ‘enemy soldiers’ began filtering in…

… and to the final pair of [member="Tyran Numeck"] & [member="Darlyn Excron"], a special announcement from the King.

“Would you believe we caught two Sith K-niggets in our clutches!? How well can you take… them… DOOOOWN!?” There, in the centre of the ring stood a messed-up and groggy [member="Ahani Zambrano"], rubbing her temple and smacking her lips.

“Bacon? Anybody? Bacon?” A very not lucid Ahani groaned, searching for her breakfast.

Unawares of the history between Kaine and Ahani, the King jovially patted [member="Kaine Australis"] on the shoulder. "Good luck, old bean! Found her wandering the street, figured, hey! Might as well employ her for the event, the vagrant! No idea who she is, but whooo! Does she have a surprise or two."

Allies: [member="Cleru"]
Enemies: Azure Djitred & [member="Sterling Kinslayer"]

Beth gave a small smile to the actor who whispered in her ear. Oh yeah. He was doing a superb job of pretending to be seriously injured. So injured he could whisper, with a hand trying to cover the sound from his voice near her ear. Beth rolled her eyes, hopeful that he didn't see it. "Great, you're doing great. But, with an injury like this, you should probably go to sleep." She waved her hand ever so slightly.

And then the man repeated something about sleep as he curled up. Beth chuckled despite feeling slightly guilty. She stretched slightly, her body easily telling her how sore they still where. Or, maybe had become. She wasn't sure how much had healed fully from the incident or just how much energy the kids were sapping from her. High-risk... Too many genomes trying to mash all together, they said.

Beth placed a hand on her stomach as she stared at her feet, holding back the sudden urge to vomit. She even more so thought that perhaps simply forfeiting to Azure & Sterling would be fine to do. She had no desire to win, and never had that much of a competitive streak anyway. Beth sighed as she looked towards what looked like a room with a door. Granted, this particular rubble filled building didn't have stairs but... Ah, well.

The young woman went towards the room, shutting the door as she sat down on a large piece of... Stone? Marble? Something hard. And placed her head inbetween her legs as she tried to contain the waves that had hit her. Ughhh. Yep, she was definitely fine with letting them win. How'd she say she wanted to leave, again?

He'd been working a while now, setting up every entry with some kind of device. The entire building was covered on the inside, with Entry alarms on windows, doorways into the halls, cameras in hard to see corners launched from his wrist launcher, and an echolocation device set on the entire top floor. He'd essentially made it impossible to scale and sneak up on them, as he set up the camp in the back room of the first floor as a safe zone. Completing this he setup both turrets, angled to either side of the door, one higher than the other. So they wouldn't blast one another, naturally. Everything had folded out nicely, and the entire room was just... peachy.

With that settled, he helped move the injured into the back, letting Azure handle them. At her request he left to handle the situation, and smiled behind his horrifyingly demonic helm as he watched an 'enemy' come around the corner. Shotgun drawn, he released the dummy slug round inside one after another right at his chest. Then simply walked into the closest building, loaded a camera into his wrist launcher and shot it up just above the door. Tapping his wrist datapad, he put the feed up on his AR view, as he steadily located the people in the building. He had much to do still... And kept an eye on the entrance. HE almost wanted them to walk in the open door, after all who would look up above the door?
