STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Pixie: The TIE Pixie is much, much smaller than a TIE/ln or TIE/IN. Thus, it has a tighter profile and is generally harder to hit. It is also easier to handle in confined spaces, such as dense asteroid fields, debris fields, hangar bays, or cavernous ship interiors.
  • Electromagnetic Warrior: With its ECM and EPM arrays, the TIE Pixie is capable of exerting significant influence on the electromagnetic environment in almost any given battlespace. It can disrupt enemy targeting solutions while enhancing its own, pierce through concerted jamming, and execute yet more feats.
  • Amphibian: The life support systems, electromotive field motors, and hydrostatic fields allow the TIE Pixie to traverse underwater and remain submerged for an indefinite period of time. In a pinch, this function could be used to hide from pursuing enemy forces or even to initiate a surprise attack!
  • Prima Ballerina: The Starburst Fairy hyperoptimizes the base maneuverability of the TIE Pixie, turning the craft from a dancer to a prima ballerina. It is capable of dazzling, showstopping maneuvers that in practical terms allow for the swift evasion of target locks, the nigh-instantaneous ability to line up targeting solutions, the easy, almost casual ability to dodge incoming fire, and yet more potential boons.
  • Metaphysical Shield: A Terentatek hide hull liner makes the Aether Fairy resistant to direct applications of the Force.
  • Stealth and Distortion: The Aether Fairy has a full suite of stealth systems, allowing it to maintain an invisible sensor profile during most operating conditions. It is also capable of remaining concealed against most common anti-stealth sensors, including, but not limited to, gravity sensors, crystal gravfield traps, and mass sensors due to its gravitic modulators, magnetic sensors due to its magnetic field generators, thermal sensors, and Force Sense (and its derivative powers) due to the Taozin undercoat and the Terentatek hide hull liner integrated into the craft’s construction. In addition, the Aether Fairy benefits from the addition of the Phase Masque, which works to effectively distort the craft's visual and sensory profile.
WEAKNESSES
  • Automation: The TIE Pixie is supported by a suite of automated processes which govern its targeting systems, power systems, flight control systems, and yet more. In the event that these systems are somehow disabled, whether via EMP/Ion discharge, concentrated slicing, or in rare cases, jamming, the operating efficiency of the craft will be negatively affected.
  • Sensitive Passive Sensors: The passive sensor array on the hull of the TIE Pixie is an extreme boon to the pilot’s battlespace awareness, especially in conditions where the use of active sensors may reveal the craft’s location. However, they are also very vulnerable, as even glancing blows can destroy or disable the sensors on or around the affected areas. In essence, as the hull takes more hits, the Spyglass’ passive reception array will become increasingly ineffective.
  • Straight and Narrow: The SLAM Mk. II provides a significant boost to speed and acceleration, but it compromises maneuverability while active.
  • Thin Skin: The TIE Pixie has ultralight, low-grade shields and a weak, thinly armored hull. Thus, the craft is unable to withstand direct fire for long.
  • Catching Flak: Although the TIE Pixie is a tiny, fast starfighter that is hard to hit, it is susceptible to high-damage area of effect munitions, typically from cluster explosives or flak. The craft’s lack of heavy armor renders it quite vulnerable to attacks from these weapon types and others of similar profiles.
  • One at a Time: Out of the Phase Masque, the Ósýnilegt cloaking device, and the polarized solar ray-particle energy shields, the Aether Fairy can only have one of these systems active at a time.
DESCRIPTION
With the loss of the Jägerin in a crash on Maldra IV during the Imperial offensive into then-Tingel Arm Coalition space, Bella was deprived of her personal, “ace custom” starfighter. It was only after testing the TIE Pixie that a new “ace custom” was made for her, with the stock version of the TIE Pixie as a base. Christened as the Aether Fairy, the modifications and upgrades to the craft were nothing short of extensive. The four light cannon hardpoints can accommodate light disruptor cannons, dramatically increasing the craft’s firepower. Uprated engines, inertial dampeners, thrusters, and control modules give a significant increase to the craft’s speed and maneuverability, allowing for maneuvers which even the stock TIE Pixie is wholly incapable of. Additionally, the upgrades take full advantage of the craft’s small size to optimize its stealthy characteristics. The addition of the Phase Masque allows for full-spectrum distortion capabilities, making the Aether Fairy a dazzling, distorted target when active. Finally, the addition of a Terentatek hide hull liner allows for resistance to metaphysical effects, shielding both craft and pilot from tampering through the Force.

All in all, the Aether Fairy is a true-to-form ace custom—an elite craft with elite capabilities, designed for an unquestionably elite pilot.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Vibrosword
  • Size: Average
    • The Scherezade is intended to be wielded in one hand and as a result, its length is usually sized for ~45% of the intended wielder's height.
  • Weight: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Diagnostic System
    • Diagnostic system in the weapon can run automatic maintenance checks and is able to identify parts, systems, and components in need of repair or replacement.
    • An integrated electronics and communication suite in the weapon links to virtually any system, allowing the wielder to obtain hard data from its systems, such as running temperatures, stability, diagnostic information, etc.
  • Data and Information Security
  • Biometric Security System
    • Biometric security system ensures that only the designated wielder can wield the blade by locking the weapon. Multiple failed attempts within a specific timeframe will result in the weapon overloading its power cell and frying its internal components.
  • Universal Remote Link
    • The vibroblade is linked to its designated wielder via a miniaturized comm link, allowing them to interface with and control the weapon remotely. This may be done through a neural link, HUD command, or any other control system that the wielder may set up.
    • In the event that the weapon is lost, the communications unit can send out a “ping” so that it can be located.
    • FAE/S-07 Symbiotic Ghost Link - Optional Control and Data Link
  • Sound Dampening System
    • The blade has an integrated sound damper that reduces the weapon’s auditory signature to a relatively soft hum.
  • Mono-Molecular Edge
    • The blade has an edge that is honed to a single molecule of thickness. Thus, the edge is extremely, surgically sharp, increasing potential cutting performance.
    • Enhanced by Svolten Rhyolite to allow for nigh-permanent edge retention.
  • Ultrasonic Vibration Generator
    • A high-grade vibration generator, the ultrasonic vibration generator causes the blade to vibrate with extreme speed and force, giving the weapon the ability to tear through flesh, hard organic carapace, thick stone, and heavy metal alloys the likes of titanium and durasteel. In addition, the vibroblade has the potential to inflict devastating, gaping wounds and possibly even dismember, with little more than a touch.
  • Monomolecular Energy Cord
    • An energized plasma cord that runs the length of the edge. Can be activated or deactivated at the wielder’s discretion.
  • Svolten Rhyolite Treatment
    • Allows the vibroblade to retain its integrity and cutting power even after sustaining hard impacts with the blade of a lightsaber or with especially dense materials.
  • Phasic Resonance Tuner
    • The Phasic Resonance Tuner is a system designed to find and exploit the inherent weakness of virtually any energy shield: its frequency. The system is a sophisticated sensor and emitter unit built into the vibroblade's hilt. The moment the blade comes near an energy shield, it performs a microsecond-long scan to analyze the shield's harmonic frequency. Once identified, it automatically adjusts the Ultrasonic Vibration Generator and the monomolecular energy cord field to emit a counter-frequency that has a very high chance of forcing destructive interference. This counter-frequency is 180 degrees out of phase from the targeted shield’s harmonic rhythm.
    • The counter-frequency generates a localized phasic cancellation effect. As a result, the resonant blade has a very high chance of causing the energy shield's matrix to destabilize at the precise point of impact. In the process, the shield’s energy may be turned against itself, potentially creating a localized tear or a transient instability just wide enough for the vibroblade to potentially slip through and strike the target behind the shield.
  • Collapsing Mirrors Edge Retraction System
    • The mono-molecular edges can retract into a semi-dull housing via molecular disruptor mirror cells when the weapon is not in use. The mono-molecular edges can be unsheathed (or retracted) via the remote link.
  • Resilient Construction
    • Owing to the vibroblade’s material construction, it is incredibly resistant to lightsabers, vibroblades, and energy weapons.
  • Rust Inhibitor
  • Passive De-Ionization System
STRENGTHS
  • Cutting Power: The FAE/M-01 is a devastating cutting instrument that is capable of destroying matter on multiple levels simultaneously. The monomolecular edge severs molecular bonds with almost no resistance, while the plasma energy cord sheath superheats and destabilizes the material ahead of the strike, softening it into molten or vaporized fragments. At the same time, the ultrasonic vibration generator unleashes microscopic oscillations that shatter internal cohesion, sending destructive resonance deep into the target. The result is a blow that has the potential to both cut and unravel whatever it touches, combining thermal shearing, vibrational tearing, and atomic-level slicing in a single movement.
  • Rupture: The vibroblade has a Phasic Resonance Tuner which can generate a localized phase cancellation effect that can disrupt energy shields at the point of impact. This system gives a strike an extremely high chance of slipping through energy shields, allowing the wielder to engage shielded targets with a credible expectation of success.
  • Brutal: A single successful stroke from the blade can leave wounds that are simultaneously clean and catastrophic: flesh instantly cauterized yet torn open into gaping, ragged channels, armor slashed apart as if made of brittle clay, and even impervium plates ripped and melted in seconds. Stone is shorn into dust, and most alloys part like water, their molecular integrity shredded by vibration as the heat and monomolecular edge finish the job. Even the lightest touch has the potential to cause swift dismemberment or structural failure, making the weapon as close to the destructive potential of a lightsaber as a physical blade can achieve. This comes with the added visceral brutality of mechanical tearing layered atop precise, surgical cutting.
  • Lightsaber Resistance: Albeit a standard feature of most, if not all late vibroweapon technologies given the propagation of Force-users in the modern era, the FAE/M-01 is resistant to contact with lightsabers and is capable of retaining its integrity against such weaponry over long periods, owing to its resilient construction and the Svolten Rhyolite treatment that protects the edges.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechanical Mutation: Like any piece of technology, the blade will be susceptible to mechu-deru and other technology-twisting powers if left unprotected. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce an overload or some other failure that might compromise much of the vibroblade’s advanced functions, potentially reducing its potential cutting power or compromising one of its utility features in the process.
  • EMP/Ion Disruption: Comprehensive Ion and EMP protection does not make the Scherezade immune to such attacks by any means. Depending on the proximity and power quotient of an Ion/EMP discharge, the weapon can suffer a range of deleterious effects, from complete shutdown to temporary system interruptions, both of which would also render it as little more than a monomolecular-edged sword.
DESCRIPTION
Named for the mysteriously disappeared and highly prolific Assassin-Princess, Scherezade deWinter, the FAE/M-01 “Scherezade” Energized Vibroblade is a weapon derived from the electro-bisentos, vibro-voluges, Bilari electro-chain whips, and vibro-arbir blades utilized by the Elite Praetorian Guard of the ancient First Order. First United Astral Engineering developed the weapon in response to a need for a robust, lightsaber-resistant vibroblade, especially given the proliferation of Force wielders in the modern battlefield. To this end, the Scherezade utilizes a monomolecular-edged fyrirdögun blade and svolten rhyolite treatment, giving the weapon the resilience needed to engage lightsabers. Focus was also placed on amplifying the weapon's cutting power beyond that of a standard vibroblade. The monomolecular edge by itself makes the weapon a peerless cutter. However, this is supplemented by the ultrasonic vibration generator, which generates a microscopic oscillation that turns the blade into a matter-disrupting terror through vibrations that transfer catastrophic kinetic energy which causes molecules to be ripped apart from their neighbors. All the while, the plasma energy cord sheath superheats and destabilizes the material ahead of the strike, softening it into molten or vaporized fragments that makes it easier to cut.

All in all, the Scherezade is a weapon for a modern era, one where wars are waged and won with advanced technology just as much as they are with the arcane powers of the Force.

    • Diagnostic and Damage Control Computer
      • Capable of executing quick, on-the-fly diagnosis and damage reports, in addition to tracking energy levels and other technical measurements which could affect the performance of the propulsion system.
    • Recoil Stabilization
      • Designed to mitigate the effects of recoil from a weapon fired by the operator by preventing the disturbance of trajectory and stability in flight—a major concern in Zero-G. The system works to improve flight characteristics, especially during combat. It is most effective when used with a direct interface to the operator.
    • Magnetic Equipment Attachment Strips
h3KdqR9.png

  • All Weather: The KJP-4 is capable of operating in the void, within an atmosphere (in virtually all weather conditions), and underwater. Moreover, the jetpack is capable of independent escape from a planet-sized primary body.
  • Twin Turbo: Of particular note, the KJP-4 is a fast and agile jetpack. Although it does not have the extreme aerial performance of the Adramelech, the KJP-4 is smaller and does not present an impediment to movement on the ground. Still, the KJP-4 is faster than most jetpacks on the market, allowing skilled users to counter hostile jet troopers and determine the pace of a given engagement, while leveraging the inherent agility of their physical form to perform dazzling maneuvers. Along the same vein, the KJP-4’s maneuverability is superior to that of most jetpacks, allowing the user to execute sudden bursts of movement in any direction to evade attacks through the agility array and the Huabing Engines.
  • Featherlight: The KJP-4 is a small and relatively lightweight unit. Thus, it generally presents no significant impediment to ground mobility.
QF94b2S.png

  • Overload: The KJP-4’s Sleg Ultracapacitors can be dangerous when overloaded with energy, with the potential to explode or catch on fire in such an event.
  • Point of Failure: When used by a typical unaugmented organic operator, the acceleration compensators are easily the most critical component of the KJP-4. In the event that they begin to operate at reduced efficiency, typically due to damage, the propulsion system’s performance will likely need to be turned down.
  • Burn Wound: The KJP-4's SLAM module can only be sustained for a limited amount of time due to its intense power demands and potential to overheat the engines. At maximum, the system can be active for twenty consecutive seconds before it is automatically shut off, at which point the thrusters must undergo a mandatory heat discharge protocol. In addition, the SLAM puts out a lot of waste heat, making it easier to spot (and target) the KJP-4 via sensors.
  • Mechanical Corruption: An unspoken weakness of virtually all modern technology, the KJP-4 is vulnerable to the esoteric sorceries of mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts can quickly disable the machine, provided that they have a direct line of sight to the propulsion system and its operator.
G6hsfzt.png

Designed as a smaller, more lightweight, and more versatile alternative to the ultra high-performance Adramelech jetpack, the KJP-4 (Kainate Jetpack Model Four) is Sith counterpart of the light version of Mandalorian jetpacks often used by Nite Owls and ancient Imperial Supper Commandos. The KJP-4 sacrifices performance, armament, and defensive capability due to its smaller form factor. However, it loses nothing in terms of versatility. It is ideal for space and atmospheric use, with a top speed of 90 MGLT in the former context (boosted to 200 MGLT with SLAM) and a top speed of Mach 2 (Mach 4 with SLAM) in the latter. It is also capable of being used underwater, though it is not wholly optimized for this function.

With its variable power settings allowing for adjustable performance characteristics (lower performance for novice users, high performance for advanced users), the KJP-4 is relatively easy and intuitive to train soldiers on. In addition, unlike the Adramelech, the KJP-4 generally presents no significant impediment to the user on the ground, facilitating its user for hybrid ground-air operations. Given its versatility, the jetpack sees use by both dedicated jet troopers who fight almost exclusively from the skies or within space (rarely, if ever touching the ground as a result) and from standard infantry who utilize the jetpack as a supplement.

All in all, the KJP-4 is a more versatile and wieldy alternative to the Adramelech, facilitating more widespread use in the field.
