BIOGRAPHY
QS-022 was created by ImperiaLabs through Engineered Variance Cloning just a few weeks before the collapse of the Imperial Confederation. Flash-trained as an Imperial Stormtrooper, she was assigned to the Imperator Bulwark section of the Imperator Corps and marked for deployment to a Confederation outpost on Jabiim. Here, she was placed in a unit whose primary mission was to guard a fuel depot and atmospheric processor.

When the Confederation’s central authority crumbled, Imperial Communique #698895.76q came into effect, ordering that all Imperial military units withdraw from non-essential theaters and consolidate at three designated Fortress Worlds.

Unfortunately, QS-022’s assigned company had been marked only a single shuttle capable of atmospheric extraction and hyperspace travel. Rated to carry 40 personnel in a single lift, the shuttle was unable to accommodate the entire company, which had 90 personnel including attached support staff. In order to organize the extraction, her unit’s commander—Major Torvin—wrote and distributed a selection criteria to categorize the unit’s roster into three priority categories: essential, conditionally essential, and non-essential.

Created and deployed less than three weeks before the collapse, QS-022 was placed in the third category.

In spite of the shuttle’s rated limit, Major Torvin made the decision to overload the shuttle to carry 66 personnel. This resulted in 24 personnel being left behind without extraction; a group entirely composed of those personnel who had been categorized as non-essential.

Major Torvin personally walked the line of those left behind, promising his unit’s remnants assurance that a logistics shuttle would arrive within 72 hours to bring them to a rally point in a second extraction wave.

The second wave never came.

The unit’s remnants maintained discipline for the first five days. The lieutenant organized watches, supply rationing, and a duty roster. However, morale cracked by the sixth day. An administrative clerk started crying during a shift change and could not stop. A soldier walked off into the rain and failed to report back.

On the seventh, eighth, and ninth days, the group suffered a large rash of desertions. On the tenth day, after announcing that he was leaving to find assistance, the lieutenant took a mechanic and one of the base’s last functioning speeder bikes and departed from the outpost. Neither returned.

The group fragmented over the next three days. Some decided to wait, while others struck out toward a known settlement 80 kilometers away. QS-022 stayed with a small group of three: two administrative clerks and one medical orderly. They decided to wait for the promised extraction, even as hope faded.

Four days after the lieutenant’s departure, a group of desperate Jabiimi civilians raided the outpost, taking food, medical supplies,and portable power cells. They ignored the remaining Imperial personnel, who were too depleted to effectively resist.

With minimal food and power, and no sign of a coming rescue, QS-022 made the decision to leave the base when the others in her small group took the base’s last remaining speeder bike. After recharging her armor with what was left of the base’s power, she walked to a coastal settlement 65 kilometers southeast in a trip that took her three days. She arrived exhausted, alone, and malnourished.

At the settlement, QS-022 found a refueling station for civilian freighters. She offered the last of her pay in exchange for food, board, and passage off-world. A Twi'lek captain, indifferent to Imperial politics and in need of cash, agreed to take her to a nearby trading hub.

It was there she heard about the burgeoning Imperial Reclamation Authority. After considering her options, she made her way to the Resolute and petitioned to join the Imperial Army.

However, rather than being accepted, QS-022 was promptly stripped of her stormtrooper armor and taken into custody by the Imperial Security Bureau.

  • POWER! Unlimited POWER!: The Glimmerweave requires no fuel and never needs refueling. It extracts energy continuously from the quantum vacuum, providing power indefinitely so long as the crystal remains intact. A personal-class cell can power a blaster rifle for centuries without a single recharge. This eliminates supply lines, refueling stations, and logistical vulnerability entirely.
  • Exceptional Safety: Unlike hypermatter reactors or conventional power packs, the Glimmerweave cannot explode from battle damage, overheating, or Force-user interference.   • EMP Detonation: In the event of destruction from a direct weapon strike, the sudden collapse of the quantum vacuum field will generate an EMP burst covering the immediate vicinity of the cell. This burst scales based on the size of the cell, with the EMP radius generated from the destruction of a micro cell typically being no larger than a one meter, ~3 meters for the destruction of a personal-grade cell, ~15 meters for the destruction of a vehicle-grade cell, ~100 meters for the destruction of a capital-grade cell, and a kilometer for the destruction of a planetary-grade cell. This EMP can disable other power systems and electronics in the area, potentially causing secondary EMP damage to a backup power sources within the vicinity of the cell.
  • Ionic Saturation: Against sustained EMP/Ion barrages or strikes, the agrinium lining can saturate. Once saturated, it requires 10 seconds to dissipate residual charge, during which the cell is vulnerable to a follow-up strike that may force safe shutdown. DESCRIPTION
The FAE/G-02 “Glimmerweave” Q-Vacuum Entrainment Cell is First United Astral Engineering’s second natively developed power system. Designed from the ground up to be more scalable than the FAE/G-01 Hypermatter Synthesis Engine, the G-02 can be used in platforms from tiny drones to massive power generation stations capable of powering planetwide cities.

Unlike conventional reactors that consume hypermatter, coaxium, tibanna gas, or some other fuel, the Glimmerweave extracts energy directly from the quantum vacuum: the underlying fabric of spacetime itself. In this, the Glimmerweave is a breakthrough in power technology. Its synthetic kyber core is grown under stellar-core conditions with a deliberately misaligned lattice, creating a forced broken symmetry that allows it to resonate with virtual particle pairs in the vacuum, pulling them into reality and harvesting the resulting energy.

Early prototypes of the device suffered from a fatal flaw in the resonance cascade, a runaway feedback loop that caused the crystal to shatter explosively. The G-02 solves this with two innovations. First, a harmonic damper array forms three nested rings of fyrirdögun–neutronium alloy that oscillate 180° out of phase with the crystal’s natural resonance, passively canceling any frequency deviation before it can begin. Second, synthetic kyber is grown with a deliberately scrambled Force resonance, shielding the cell from metaphysical destabilization. However, it should be noted that directed Force attacks can still destroy the cell, if it is left unprotected. They simply will not result in a calamitous resonance cascade that would otherwise turn the cell into a miniature bomb.

However, while extremely difficult, it is still technically possible to induce a destructive resonance cascade. In such a calamity, a personal-sized cell could detonate like a proton bomb and a capital-grade cell could blow up with a yield equivalent to a small asteroid impact. An engineer who defeats the tamper seal (which requires an authorized code or rare slicing equipment), removes the tursturin shell (which requires specialized tools and ~10 minutes), disables all three harmonic damper rings without shattering them (which requires precision cutting), applies an external oscillating field matching the crystal’s natural frequency for ~30+ minutes, and then withdraws the field as the crystal drifts toward cascade over the next ~1-2 hours (without measures being taken to stop the cascade), will be able to induce one. Only a trained Q-VEC engineer with schematics, specialized tools, and significant time could cause a cascade. It cannot happen by accident, weather, battle damage, or metaphysical interference.

Still, unlike earlier attempts at zero-point energy extraction, the Glimmerweave is stable, safe, and extremely resistant to accidental catastrophic failure.

Despite its immense potential, the Glimmerweave has practical limitations. It enters safe shutdown (becoming inert) if damaged. This prevents explosion, but also disables the equipment it powers. Restart (if the cell is still intact) requires 10 seconds and an external ion pulse generator, a vulnerability that can be fatal in combat. In addition, the tursturin regulator shell degrades over 5–10 years and must be replaced. Finally, the cell produces no power output during the 10-second restart window, requiring redundant systems for critical applications.

For its users, the Glimmerweave is an asset capable of shifting the balance of power toward those who possess it. For everyone else, it is a rumor wrapped in a fairy tale, glimpsed only as a faint cerulean shimmer behind a transparisteel viewport, pulsing with the energy of the quantum void!

Designed as a smaller, more lightweight, and more versatile alternative to the ultra high-performance Adramelech jetpack, the KJP-4 (Kainate Jetpack Model Four) is Sith counterpart of the light version of Mandalorian jetpacks often used by Nite Owls and ancient Imperial Supper Commandos. The KJP-4 sacrifices performance, armament, and defensive capability due to its smaller form factor. However, it loses nothing in terms of versatility. It is ideal for space and atmospheric use, with a top speed of 90 MGLT in the former context (boosted to 200 MGLT with SLAM) and a top speed of Mach 2 (Mach 4 with SLAM) in the latter. It is also capable of being used underwater, though it is not wholly optimized for this function.

With its variable power settings allowing for adjustable performance characteristics (lower performance for novice users, high performance for advanced users), the KJP-4 is relatively easy and intuitive to train soldiers on. In addition, unlike the Adramelech, the KJP-4 generally presents no significant impediment to the user on the ground, facilitating its user for hybrid ground-air operations. Given its versatility, the jetpack sees use by both dedicated jet troopers who fight almost exclusively from the skies or within space (rarely, if ever touching the ground as a result) and from standard infantry who utilize the jetpack as a supplement.

All in all, the KJP-4 is a more versatile and wieldy alternative to the Adramelech, facilitating more widespread use in the field.
