  • Description: Life on Zernia had never been easy, there had always been strife and conflict to deal with. Between the citizens of the various kingdoms, between the Human and Hellyni colonists of the Azure Imperium. But when the Acolytes hit Zernia the people had an even rougher time than they normally did, in the final hours of their conquest a number of heros did battle with the acolytes ending with all but one being called dead. As the legend spread so did the extravagance of the legend eventually becoming a battle between gods with the main god being named after the leader herself. They believed to come out of such a massive struggle unscathed she must have been so balanced as to not have been distracted by anything. Hence why the church then believed in balance so much.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Founder: The founder of the religion is unknown and likely died during the acoyletes and church of light fought each other for Zernia during the worst conflict ever seen by the Caeruleum Conclave which was at the time known as the Azure Imperium. However his notes were based on the events seen by many within the Imperium's capital. The Paladins had always been the Church and the Imperium's final weapon against the forces of Darkness that threatened the Imperium. But when the Acolytes attack came it was faster and more devastating than anyone could have predicted, and no-one could wake the Paladins until the attack was over and the Acolytes had settled in control of Zernia. Once seen as a tool of defence the Paladins were reforged into tool of vengeance by the command of the last remaining member of the Imperial family. Supported by Lunara Azure the Paladins battled through the streets to the remains of the Cathedral of Light, once home to the Church and now the base of the Acolytes. Word went out through the streets, the population gathering at the word the Lady of Light had returned to them, that she would push the invaders off the world and free them. What they saw instead was a grief-stricken young woman who wanted only revenge on those who had taken everything from her. The people saw her drawing on the light and the dark, carving a path of destruction through the invaders as the Paladins at her side cut them down, striding through the Chaos like godlings as they closed on the Cathedral. The Last remnant of the Acolytes, of the Old Order that was swept away in a force storm Summoned by the once Lady of Light, her anger and despair reaching out through the force to erase the edifice. In the aftermath Lunara and the remnants of the Paladins, most of whom had died to carry her to the stronghold of their enemy, were no-where to be found. Yet the people remembered, they remembered those who had sacrificed it all to free their planet, mixing light with darkness in contravention to the teachings of the Old Church. The whispers began quietly, growing in volume, spreading across the planet as the myth spread, of those who had vanished, who had ascended to look over the planet. And so the legend of Luna Statera grew, and so a new church was born.
  • Membership: Simply believing within the gods and goddesses is generally enough however some more extreme singular cults can ask for different needs for a person to be added to the religion. Taking certain drugs, doing certain tasks or bringing fame to the cult itself is generally enough for most of the extremists.
  • Sacred: Balance and order in all things, with death there should be life, Disease should bring about medicine, murder must bring law and consequences. So far no animals have been declared sacred nor any locations.
  • Dogma:
    • Luna: Goddess of Darkness and Light, Balance
    • Praelium: God of War, Murders, Battles, Honor, Law, Order
    • Fortuna: Goddess of Change, The Force, Sorcery, Fate, Hope, Weather
    • Mortalitas: God of Death, Disease, Decay, Medicine and Judgement
    • Amare: Goddess of Pleasure, Desire, Excess, Knowledge, Madness and Love
    • Vindicta: Goddess of Anarchy, Vengeance, Nihilism, Assassins, Mercenaries and Freedom
  • Reputation: N/A

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Due to the events that lead to the waking of the paladin order of the church of light which involved the planet being burnt to the ground many documents were lost. Many of these included the teachings of the church of light itself as many of it's members fell during the ensuing chaos of the battle with the Acolytes, a dark sided group that had been attempting for many years to destroy Zernia and it's government. Both objectives which they succeeded in when they destroyed the capital city of Zernia and the imperial palace. This left the people of Zernia hopeless when many warriors fell in defence of the planet. However eventually documents relating to this new religion were found on planet and popularised in an attempt to revitalise the people of Zernia.

After the rumours of this new religion began to spread...many of the remnants of the old church of light latched onto the legend as a way to maintain their status in society leading to a transformation within the Church of Light. This was an easy growth as the church had originally preached close to balance anyways with their own dark sect that all church members had some knowledge about as they were in day to day affairs. With the new adoption of this religion the orders began morphing to keep following the new religion however many began to follow only one of the gods or goddesses. These cults were eventually excommunicated from the religious proceedings after The Faceless One decided that you would believe and follow all the gods and goddesses will or you would leave the church. Many of these cults that left the main religion are to the main goddess of balance Luna which generally is ironic as she preaches you must listen to all of her children not just her. As a group the Luna Statera generally tend to be pastoral, holding many masses, however they do also sit in on court proceedings and the person elected to ruler ship of the Caeruleum Conclave must themselves be a member of the Luna Statera or otherwise they don't receive any church endorsement which means quiet a lot on Zernia at the moment.

Ravenfire Ravenfire I always love seeing the religion template be put to good use ♥

Only two things;
  • In Out of Character Information, the Permissions field refers to permissions you've been given to use other people's submissions in this one. If none such were used, please write n/a. To give credit to another writer who helped you, you can add a new field, for example, after Links, you can add Credit. You can always add fields to any of the Codex templates, but you need to use the existing fields as they are and were meant to be used.
  • In General Information, your Description cuts off in the middle.
Please tag me back once you've made the edits :)

Fixed the description apologies about that dunno how I missed it.

As for the permissions, I added that their in the first place because the writer did help firstly yes but also gave me use of https://www.starwarsrp.net/threads/zernia.118775/, https://www.starwarsrp.net/threads/the-church-of-the-light.119194/
Since technically it's affecting both of these subs, I thought it was only fair that it be place in permissions unless you think otherwise in which case I can make the change

Raven Sorry for the late reply, you've tagged my wrong face ;)

As for the permissions, I understand, but that is not how they are meant to be utilized. Please add them in a new line with the title "Credit: " or "Co-written With: " or such variants.

Everything else checks out and once that's done I will gladly approve this submission :)
