Vina Zomo

Best Karking Healer. Ever.

Location: Barenth Medical Station, above the planet Monastery
Vina stood at the head of the rounded table within one of the conference rooms, pacing rather nervously and repeatedly smoothing down her robes which she'd chosen specifically for this occasion. Tonight, representatives of seven factions -- ranging from criminals to Sith to Jedi -- would be meeting in this room to discuss a treaty with the Healer's Guild. If all went well, the Guild would be able to travel to most of the known galaxy unhindered. If not, well... She didn't want to dwell on that.
As always, the Head Healer sought comfort from the ring hanging around her neck. It was ridiculous to be this worried (she'd had to deal with worse things during her career) but she couldn't help it. Of the seven representatives attentin, she only knew one.
To take her mind off of her nerves, Vina cast another look around the room. Refreshments guaranteed to be considered edible by most known species were set at the middle of the table, and a med kit was hanging near the door, just in case. The Devaronian let out a breath and stopped pacing for about three seconds. Then she started up again.
----------------
Once the representatives would arrive, they'd find a young lower-ranked healer waiting to escort them to the room.

Jaster loved his job, he was admiral of transport fleets and quartermaster of all equipment of the Healers Guild. He was doing good in the galaxy rather then endlessly killing people for honor. He didn't much like having all these enemy's under one roof and with special request the small fleet and security personnel were to protect the station. Jaster also made arrangements of the majority of medical supplys moved to an off cite location along with many of the refugees taken in. There was no need to have enemy's of ither state being flaunted around the station as it was just recovered. He was also covering for the Cheif of Security, as they were away on a tour of the refugee camps they had set up so far in neutral planets. The rag tag division of security officers was Jaster select Security and Escort Division, they were the sheild that protected them all. Though poorly armed with relics, and trained to defend against riots, Jaster beleived they were enough to deture fights. Jaster himself didn't carry any fire arms so neither did his men, they carried riot sheilds and stun batons, equipment for riot control. With the lack of weapons, he hoped that neither side would be offended or disrespected.

Jaster had negosiation data set in front of him on his personal datapad, it carried the supply lines and refugee camp numbers along with other topics he would later dicuss. These were all dumped on him weeks before hand and little time to prepare, not all the numbers were compleat, and the ship lines were short. He worked feverishly as he walked into the meeting room. Several diffrent droids and personel were following him and handing him data pads as he continued to walk.

As soon as he walked into the meeting room they stopped following as the Head Healer noticed him and his group. They scattered into the wind leaving there pads with Jaster, he looked up at his leader and with a drowsy look he stated, "Sometime I think your a witch in jedi clothing."

He walked to a seat on her left leaving the righ side for the deputy healer.

Maybe he was finally getting used to his role in politics. Or maybe it was because he was a doctor by trade. But either way, Armand Temi, Leader of the Rebel Alliance and Ambassador of Praesitlyn felt no anxiety at the thought of meeting criminals and powerful Sith Lords in the Barenth Medical Station today. He knew once he started speaking, his own agenda would become clear but like the Order of the Sacred Circle he endeavored to remain neutral.

"Hello there," he said, speaking to the young healer who guided him into the room. He saw Vina Zomo and strode up to her, shaking her hand warmly. "Always good to see you." He then spied Jaster across the room and then put a hand on the fellow healer's shoulder and smiled. "You too, Jaster. I hope you've been brushing up on your pazzak because I plan to continue my winning streak if you'll allow me to."

Jaster almost didn't notice his doctor friend turned politician had walked in, he was working on sorting through the mountain of data other had given him. When a hand reached his shoulder he jumped a little at a surprise of friendship shown. When he noticed it was Armand, Jaster smiled back.

"You know I've statisticly gata beat you by now," Jaster put his hand out to shake the mans hand, "I'm starting to think you might be cheating."

Jaster let out a laught, good to see a friend for the first person at the meeting, Jaster had exstincive files on everyone at the table. Cost a lot of credits to get it, but Jaster knew it would pay off, and it did. Friends were needed at this meeting, and he had friends.

To say that Avalore was distracted would be the understatement of the day. She'd had this meeting on her schedule long enough to have been prepared, but when [member="Hal Terrano"] failed to return home to the Sanctuary on the predetermined day, the Healer began to worry. That worry only grew as the man failed to return any form of contact made and his ship comm could not be tracked down.

Hal, where are you? You're not back, you said you'd be back by now. I know you get very involved in your research, but it's not right to leave me worry. You can't just disappear. Send me a message - any message, just so I know you're not stuck in a hole somewhere.

Ship docked at the Barenth Medical Station, Avalore gave a deep frown as her hand hovered over the key to send. Closing her eyes, praying to whatever Gods of Correspondence might be help responsible for getting this message to where it needed to be, she pressed it.

Establishing connection...

She felt her brow grow tight, her stomach churn. Force, she was tired. The presentation to the Purse Council on Cato had gone well enough - they'd agreed to fund the expansion of the Sanctuary, so work had begun. Avalore couldn't be sure if they were eager to spend their money, or simply eager to have a Jedi Healer at their beck and call, whatever the case had been they wasted no time in ensuring she had all the proper supplies for the job. It was both a relief and a new weight on her mind - this task of evolving her home into a new and glorified Healing Center. Everything was going perfect, everything except her closest companion going MIA.

Avalore opened her eyes.

Establishing connection ...

Rerouting...

Connection failed. Try again?

A soft whine sounded within her throat which had suddenly gone very dry and tight. Avalore quickly glanced to the time and determined she couldn't sit here much longer, the meeting was set to begin soon. Caching the message for a later time, she quickly drew up another to her fellow Academy Masters. Sure, she'd promised not to devolve back into hysterics without due cause, just for Hal, but enough was enough. This wasn't like Hal, something was wrong.

[member="Shule Windspeaker"] [member="Ilias Nytrau"] [member="Kira Talith"] [member="Talon Vosra"]

No time to be formal - Hal is missing. Has anyone seen or heard from him in the last week? Please respond with any information you might have.

~Avalore

With that she closed up her holopad, secured it into her shoulder satchel, and moved to exit her ship. There she was greeted by a young man who introduced himself as a Healer, much to her displeasure. This was supposed to have been a grand day of making connections, meeting fellow Healers, but all Avalore could think about was her brooding Jedi Knight.

Vina stopped pacing and placed her hands on her hips, raising an eyebrow at Jaster. "Well, this witch also hands out your paycheck," she said with a faint grin. "I notified you that I was thinking of hosting a gathering. As one of many of my personal slaves, it is your duty to get everything done on time by magic. Didn't you read that in the contract?" A full-on grin appeared though, when she added, "But don't worry -- Ms. Walsh will be helping you, too. Eventually."

Her head turned when the door opened, and Vina flashed Armand a warm smile, returning the handshake. "Same to you, Armand." The Devaronian paused as the two men bantered a bit before jumping back in. "They do say a bad carpenter blames his tools, Jaster." Another grin was given to show her teasing. She then turned back to Armand. "How goes life with the Rebel Alliance? Are your clinic and our branch doing well?"

[member="Armand Temi"] [member="Avalore Eden"] [member="Vina Zomo"]

These were people he thought as family, one of the few places he felt at home after his exile. The Head Healer was like a younger sister he teased on his leaser time and since he haven't left the station in a while, it was a lot. Many of the members of the guild were family to him and he enjoyed all there company, he was one of the original members so he new almost everyone on the station and even outside there metalic walls.

Jaster leaned over to Armand to loudly whisper, "I think she's only mean to me cuz she likes my daughter more then me." He knew Vina could hear him as that was his purpose. He couldn't hold back his large grin as he enjoyed teasing the Head Healer, she had been very stressed since the meeting was scheduled. He was on the station with her for the whole time and the fear and frustration seeped through the halls outside her quarters.

After seeing the frustration on Vina's face Jaster would have continued but received a call from the hangerbay officers, "Time to get seriouse lady's and gent's, the represinative for the Jedi just arrived, and she doesn't seem to be enjoying her stay."

Kira Talith

Kinetic Communication at its finest my Chick-e-dee
*****

A message would come crackling in, with [member="Avalore Eden"] first getting a missive from Jedi Master Kira Liadain -- err Talith. Not many really knew about it, and the Lorrdian would still very much answer to the surname.

It didn't take much to read between the lines. Well, not for a Lorrdian; more so for one who had technically gone missing six years ago in much the same manner. The end result ended in her capture and torture at the hands of Nemene, Soliael's half sister, and months of hardship.

Lips would thin, but Kira would square her shoulders, then sent the following reply.

[ Master Eden, I am saddened to say I have not seen hide nor hair of Hal. I will commence putting out feelers for him, perhaps one of the other professors has seen him at one of the other Houses.

I will send word as soon as I am able.

May the Force be with you.]

Her former time as the Master of Shadows and Jedi Investigator would not be put to waste. She spent the next few minutes sending out messages and seeking help. The first would be with Master [member="Kian Karr"].

[ Master Karr, I hope this finds you well.

I am seeking information on Jedi Knight Hal Terrano, I was hoping you could help me determine his whereabouts.]

Message sent, she would wait for a reply. Fingers would tap slightly upon the desk she sat in front of, the warm gust of a summer wind lifting pale white curtains in the breeze. Beside her, a small hand would brush at her arm, prompting her attention.

A warm smile would bring a glow to the mother of the cherub blonde little girl with the vivid orange eyes.

"Aela...what is it honey?" hands would draw up, grabbing the little girl under her armpits and lightly bringing her up to her lap. A press of a kiss would find itself against Aela's soft temple, gossamer blonde hair blending between the two as their heads would draw closer, making it hard to determine where one would start and the other would end.

Her answer was a smear of white paint across her cheek to match the one the little girl had on her own. For a few minutes, the concern and worries of the galaxy would disappear in the wake of the innocent laughter of her firstborn.

Chiasa, true to form, went where she wanted, when she wanted and the security appointed by [member="Patricia Susan Garter"] could go hang, because she'd be damned if she let any of them on her ship. Hence the Twilek arriving alone in her Washburne Class Transport save for her two security droids that she had stay on the ship. A life monitoring device was synced up to their internal processors, so should this turn out to be a trap and the Twi'lek receive any injury, the droids would come. Another recent tweak based one experience.

The little digging and slicing the Twi'lek had bothered to have arranged however, suggested that this Healers Guild was legitimate. The chance that they would be a useful asset too heavily outweighed the chance that they might be somehow detrimental, and so here she was.

She couldn't be bothered having people ask her if she was armed, so she'd dressed to make it clear she was not. As such, the Junior Healer who met her as she exited her ship escorted her directly to the meeting room. She considered the others already present as she entered, obviously they were still waiting on some. Her face was carefully unreadable and neutral as she waited to be addressed, as was polite.

She was a criminal, not a savage after all.

Let us just say that the Galactic Prime Minister was not exactly thrilled to be here with mixed company on the way. No doubt there would be much tongue-biting on her part. And if she did not value the intent of this Healers' Guild as much as she actually did, then Lasedri probably would have broken a few of the meeting's stipulations and arranged for some rather 'humane' deaths of a Sith representative or two. This was, hopefully, the last and only time she would ever agree to sit peaceably with one of their ilk. They did not deserve the mercies of such a benevolent organization.

But she proceeded into the entrance hall anyway, duty to the Republic and all on her mind. She wasted no time with attempted obscurity, taking up her trademark white Senate coat and hat to clearly announce her presence. There should be no doubt who had arrived.

To her satisfaction, the new Benefactor of the Rebel Alliance--her successor, though most would not be aware of that fact--had arrived. She had friends here, and that would help put her a little more at ease for this convention.

Narrowed eyes scanned the twi'lek Raven nearby, and more devious eyes made contact with Armand, but nothing was uttered. Hopefully no one would keep them waiting too long. She had a Republic to run.

This was it, the time when things were to get hairy, two allied representatives and a representative of a criminal organization. This was a bad combo, but one he was to deal with. Both the Head healer and Deputy Healer were already at there limit of conformability, he was to take the leading charge into this negosiation and signing while his bosses were the figure heads. He had all the cards set, the pieces in place, and the skills to get it done. These representative wanted to get it over with, and that played to his liking, the reason he was so confident.

He walked over to the three representatives, "Hello Representative of the Jedi Academy Eden, to you as well Representative of the Red Ravens Kritivaas, and finally welcome Representative of the Galactic Republic Geneviève," Jaster stood before them hin his white robe with the guilds insignia sown on. He also wore a Military hat designed similar to an Imperial Officer hat, but white and green trim, this carried the symbol of the Quartermaster on it. "I am your humble host, Admiral Jaster Awaud, Quatermaster and Security Cheif of this Guild,"

Gesturing to the the other members of the guild, he stated, "Representative Armand Temi has already arrived, Ms Vina Zomo will be our lead diplomat and is the Head Healer," after the introductions were finished Jaster cut off their ability to see his Guild Master, this was to instill mystery in there though of her, "we are still waiting for some people to arrive, please we have assorted foods and drinks for you in the other rooms, there will be seperate rooms for each Representative so they may contact their leaders to confirm anything they wish, along with separate food and drinks that you may monitor yourself, feel free to stay here or retire to your assigned rooms until the meeting starts."

Jaster continued to stand there, he wish to keep the Head Healer from speaking with them till the meeting began. Although a very strong person, she could be easily minipulated by any one of them, and they could not afford that.

Kian's hands glided over the antiox mask, the fine wire brush clasped in his left hand scrubbing at the small seams throughout the mask. Kian stopped for a moment and ran a hand over his exposed face. Kian often tried to get away to his quarters in order to breath freely, but he had been preoccupied and it had been several weeks since he took the mask off. It felt good to get it off, and he found himself running a finger along the scars on his face and glancing at his reflection in the mirror. The scars that he'd received when his mask had been crushed had faded over the years since, but not enough that they weren't noticeable.

Going back to his antiox mask, Kian flipped it over, checking to ensure it was in good working order. Just as he finished, the comm channel chimed and Kian sat his mask down and hit the switch, receiving the message. Kian regretted the fact that he didn't know Jedi Master [member="Kira Talith"] better, but the two had met on occasion. As the former Master of Shadows and a renowned Jedi Investigator, she was one Jedi that Kian had on his list of people to turn to in a tight situation. That she was reaching out to him took him by surprise and perusing the message, he could see why. Hal Terrano missing? Jedi Terrano was a well respected archivist and a close friend of Jedi [member="Avalore Eden"]. Kian pressed a few buttons, summoning CG-50, and Jedi Qual and Jedi Baris to the conference room. After he spoke with Kira he would need to put them into the field, gathering information.

Punching in the encryption code, Kian replied.

[Master Liadain, I've received your message. Every resource I have is at your disposal. How would you like to proceed?]
Kian asked, sending the message along. Kian wasn't sure where Master Liadain was, but he was aboard the Gnost Dural and wouldn't find it hard to rendezvous if the Kira wished to meet in person.

On her way to the meeting room, Avalore suddenly came to a pause at the ping of a return message coming from her satchel. Normally she might've at least indicated to her guide that she needed to stop, but such was her distraction and welling concern that she didn't. The poor boy walked on for another dozen feet before realizing his flock-of-one was failing to follow.

A quick glance at the message only served to deepen her frown. Avalore wasn't aware of [member="Kira Talith"]'s past or former titles, but in her short time working with the woman among the other Housemasters of the Academy Avalore had come to respect her for the apparent wisdom and experience she had at her disposal. There was still hope, though.

Can't lose hope.

She and Hal didn't exactly travel in the lap of luxury. Their ships and transports were aged, prone to all manner of failures. Perhaps he'd just become marooned somewhere and hadn't the means to respond. Maybe he'd managed a report to one of the more local houses?

"Ma'am?" the young man had returned, giving her a curious gaze, "Everything alright?"

She swallowed hard and slowly placed the datapad back into her satchel. A bare nod was all the response she could muster.

A short while later she arrived at the meeting hall looking for all the world as though someone had stolen her puppy. Choosing a quiet place to stand, Jedi Order Chief Healer Eden only just noted the presence of the Chief of Senate [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] within the faces gathered. Not that the two had ever met, but to be a member of the Republic and not known who Lasedri was ... well, that was simply unheard of. Frankly it was far more likely that the Chief of Senate wouldn't recognize the Chief Healer. Not that they were equals of power by any measure. Lasedri controlled the entirety of the Senate within the whole of the Galactic Republic territory. Avalore? She had her little Sanctuary on Cato, that was about it.

She didn't even have a group of Healers to be Chief amongst. The title had come in recognition of her practically being the only dedicated Healer within the Order.

Distractedly she listened to the introduction offered by [member="Jaster of clan Awaud "]with a willful amount of attention. At present, Avalore would have rather been back on Manaan during the Sith Invasion. Feth, she would have rather been back at Coruscant so long as she knew that Hal was present, accounted for, and for the most part safe.

Should have brought my Kasha amulet with me, she thought with a sigh, quietly uttering a thank you to Jaster as he finished. The idea of a separate room to wait in was the most appealing aspect of this day, apparently her little Guide seemed to pick up on this.

"Chief Healer Eden, your room is right this way."

They would hate him before he said anything. They would hate him before he even arrived. Darth Adekos had meditated upon this to quite some extent on the shuttle ride over. He made peace with it, because he wasn't here to change perceptions or make pleas. Adekos was here to do the bidding of the Dark Lord and nothing else. The Dark Lord wanted the One Sith in on this, though Adekos could hardly see why. Beefing up the healthcare budget would go much farther than any one guild, but far be it for Adekos to debate budgetary matters with a Dark Lord. There was no questioning his wisdom, so Adekos would just do this... Thing, and be done with it. No sass, no snark, no cryptic speech. The sooner this was done and signed, the sooner he could not be in a room surrounded by people who would rather stab him in the neck than have a pleasant conversation.

The Imperial shuttle touched down in the hangar, boarding ramp lowering with the usual dramatic bursts of steam. Darth Adekos wasn't as important as he liked to pretend, so the red-robed honor guard were not present. Just a duo of black and gold armored Novatroopers. Frankly Adekos preferred their style anyway. They didn't leave the hangar and instead hung around the edges of the shuttle while Adekos, unarmed as requested, was brought to the conference room. Like everyone else so far, he slunk in wordlessly, took his seat where indicated, and waited for proceedings to begin.

He wasn't the last one to arrive, so that was good.

At Jaster's warning, Vina turned towards the door expectantly. She was not disappointed. Mere minutes later, a tiger-striped orange Twi'lek entered the room, wearing a tight dress which showed off her, erm, assets quite well. The healer was reminded of her own stomach, a little soft in the middle, and smiled. Actually, it was a bit more than soft, but she didn't have any jelly rolls going on yet. Besides, as she always liked to say, a person didn't have to be pretty to help others.

Nonetheless, she gave the woman a respectful bow of greeting. The healer was about to go over and introduce herself when two more individuals came in, both women. And then, before she could make a move, Jaster jumped in, passing around the greetings and formalities.

Vina raised an eyebrow. She didn't see why he didn't want her speaking to them, but decided not to make a fuss. It wouldn't do to have a confrontation with guests present, and she trusted him to do what was necessary. It wouldn't kill him to give me a little more faith, though, she grumbled. I'm his senior in both rank AND age.

Then Representative Eden retired to her rooms, and the fifth guest arrived. Vina was no Force User, but it didn't take a Jedi to figure out that this was the rep for the One Sith. Good! They showed up, after all. The Sith were the one group she had been worried about, as they were in a position to ignore her request. But the fact that they showed pleased her greatly, so when the rep sat down, she excused herself from Armand and walked over, giving a respectful bow. "Hello," she said. "You must be the One Sith Representative, Darth Adekos. We are very much honoured that your people accepted my request. I am Head Healer Zomo."

Armand wanted to answer Vina’s question about the clinic on Praesitlyn but when more healers came into the room, he gave he a silent nod to her and settled into his seat. One by one the galaxy’s top medical professionals or their representatives filed into the meeting space.

He glanced at Geneviève Lasedri in acknowledgement and then onto Twi'lek Chiasa Krivitaas which he knew from recent intelligence reports was a Crime Lord with the Red Ravens. He did not know who the woman was with the melancholy yet piercing blue eyes. She chose to stand away from the rest and when offered a private room, gratefully took it. She had peaked his curiosity if only because she seemed to desperate to escape the stares and stuffy atmosphere in the room.

The last invited guest, he felt with The Force before he saw him. A darksider crept into the room without speaking and took his place at the table. He watched Vina Zomo greet him the same she would any other in the room. It was what made her so respectable in his eyes. He knew she was up for the tasks of these negotiations, however tense they would be but if she faltered, he vowed to help verbally ease the discussion along in a productive way.

Chiasa noted the expression from [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] but did not acknowledge the woman in any way shape or form, not even to look directly at her which was its own subtle diplomatic snub. Internally though she was pleased.

Be uncomfortable, be suspicious. You have no idea what I'm doing in your sectors, how I'm profiting. Nor will you in your bloated beast of a government, so glare away, that's all you can do. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID.

Conversations with a certain gentleman who had reason to know and hate her oh so well, meant the Twi'lek was privy to a fact or two the Galactic Prime Minister would be displeased to have revealed. But that was a truth best saved for another day when it would be of more use.

She inclined her head gracefully to [member="Vina Zomo"] at the others bow. While she didn't understand and could not fully comprehend the woman's apparently altruistic motives and actions, she did for the most part feel that healers should be extended a measure of respect.

As [member="Jaster of clan Awaud"] began to speak she had to resist the urge to sneer slightly. Contact leaders indeed. She was the leader and would do as she damned well pleased. Her decisions would stand or those who went against them would very quickly be shown the light. Generally through a new hole in their usually thick skulls. It was rather odd the ushering away of Zomo before she was given a chance to speak, but Security could be annoyingly over zealous like that. Hopefully it was not a trend. She'd not come all this way to listen to someone who took inventories as a day job speak.

The Jedi, [member="Avalore Eden"] went immediately into her private room, and to the Diplomats trained eye was radiating all sorts of distress. Well. At least she was in the right place for it.

[member="Darth Adekos"] was her only official ally present, but quite frankly the Twi'lek did not expect a lot from him. It wasn't the evil that bothered her about the Sith, it was the fact that they seemed to have precisely two settings. Sitting about being too haughty to speak to anyone or get anything done, and torturing or threatening to torture. That was it. Maybe some day one fo them would surprise her. One could only hope. Gods knew it had taken a lot of needling on her part to anger the Sith enough that they agreed to the Raven/Sith treaty to start with, she was fairly certain if she'd held her tongue they'd still all be in that room. Ravens waiting amicably while the Sith broodingly stared at a space slightly to the right of their ears. Moody bastards.

[member="Armand Temi"] she was unfamiliar with, but based on slight similarities, the way that he moved and held himself as well as the surname.. It seemed likely he was related to Tmoxin. Interesting. Cousin at least, possibly brother.

[member="Vina Zomo"] [member="Armand Temi"] [member="Darth Adekos"] [member="Avalore Eden"] [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] [member="Chiasa Kritivaas"]

Jaster didn't mind anyone here, to him it was just another talk with strangers to get things they needed. Though he knew it meant way more to the others though. Plus his plan was working great, the first person the head healer talked to was the Sith Representative. Now he knew that they were to be his biggest opponent, they had the most to loose if things were to go sideways. He needed the Sith to break ice with someone with leadership before anyone else.

He knew what needed to be done now, and that was to leave the room for the diplomats to properly speak to one another before the meeting began. He needed to gather as many troopers to gather outside. This was just in case old riveralies sprung up and people needed to be separated. This was also why he had other meeting room converted to private quarters. This was probably the most exsplosives place in the whole galaxy and possibly the only place where another galactic war could break out. He need to stay focused and do his job, this wasn't dest work anymore, he would be placed on the frount lines again.

He walked up to [member="Vina Zomo"], "Ahh, Represinative of the One Sith [member="Darth Adekos"], very nice to meet you sir," Jaster did a complementary bow, "you will have a private room with communication set up, I do hope your stay would be to your enjoyment," Jaster really didn't mind Sith, he sometimes enjoyed there company when drinking was involved. He beleived most Sith worriers were more honest then other people. He looked over at his Head Healer, "I will be leaving, there was a mix up with Refugees Transport craft, I will be back shortly, hold down the fort boss." He said with a smile as was normal for him.

He had utmost faith that she could do what many people couldn't, find common ground with people who think each other's enemys. He would be a comm call away if she needed help, but they were here for her, not a pencil pusher like him. Though they would have to deal with his hard negosiation when the meeting started.

Adekos had not expected to be approached personally by the Head Healer, especially over all the other assorted representatives. Hence why he had seated himself so quickly and innocuously. Mindful of his capacity as a representative (not an overlord, as a matter of fact) and not wanting to endure the inherent awkwardness of a formal introduction that took place while he was seated, Darth Adekos rose rather promptly at the approach of the Head Healer. Then she was bowing. At what point shaking hands become passé, Adekos would never understand. This was the work of the people he choose to consort with, he supposed. Very well.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Head Healer." He dipped his head slightly in respect, but that was as close to a bow as he was getting. "And, I assure you, the honor is all ours."

There was a distinct effort on his part not to dabble with the other attendees. Again, he doubted they had anything pleasant to say to him. The galaxy at large didn't think highly of the One Sith, and neither did Adekos in many aspects. Perhaps he would speak with the nicely dressed Twi'lek woman representing the Red Ravens. Darth Adekos' usual distaste towards criminals tended to evaporate when said criminals were aligned with the cause of his colleagues. Before he could say anything else, a man in Mandalorian armor strolled up. A member of the Healers Guild as well, apparently. If there was one thing Adekos detested more than criminals, it was Mandalorians. But unlike other Sith, he was willing to shelve his prejudices for a lovely conference that everyone enjoyed.

Mostly everyone. These people's tendency towards bowing was bringing him closer to insanity than the Dark Side ever had.

Again, Adekos dipped his head respectfully to the Mandalorian. "I appreciate the accommodations. Thank you." There was little time to say much else, the Mandalorian left without further introduction.

Bowing to Mandalorians. Oh, how the mighty had fallen. In the name of diplomacy, no less!

It was odd to know that their work had come to pass. The groups were gathering and it was a wonderful thing. Lauren had been hiding behind the scenes organizing the last minute details of the event so that [member="Jaster of clan Awaud "]and [member="Vina Zomo"] didn't have to. She was after all the Deputy Healer which meant she had a lot of expectations to meet. She was wearing a gown that she had deemed appropiate for the occasion. She secretly hoped her father would be here but figured there was no reason for the High Admiral of the ODF to accompany the head of the OP. Lauren smile as she approached her boss and the representifve from the sith. Lauren kept her smile as she had been around all sorts of people in her exploring just what she wanted to do with her life. She could sense the stark difference of the dark side from the man. Though being neutral to the whole force thing herself she didn't care. It was another tool for her to heal with in her mind. Lauren curtsied " Greetings I am so glad you were able to come. I hope I am not intruding but I figured I should introduce my self. I am Deputy Healer Lauren Walsh. " She still couldn't believe it she had never thought she would be so high in an organization that reached so far. She was directly under the head Healer, and helped her accomplish whatever was their latest project.

Lauren hadn't spent much time around the galaxy and didn't really know anyone. It was strange, she had such a connected family but she hardly recognized the faces here. She wondered if anyone from the fringe would be here. Perhaps her cousin and/or her wife, didn't they lead the fringe? she wasn't sure but she thought they might. It had been so long since she had ever even really thought of her cousin. She looked to see if @Kalia Darkhold her mother was around but she didn't see her.
