Flight Captain Kelly Trenton Perris is a scion of a legacy of Republic and Alliance fighter pilots; a starfighter ace, flying with the reformed and storied Revenant Squadron of the Galactic Alliance; and a son of Corellia.
Skilled behind the controls of many craft for a man of his rather few years, he has proven himself across multiple milieus of combat flight. Captain Perris has never been shot down in atmo, nor in space, and he isn't about to start.
Kelly Trenton Perris was born on Corellia to two Galactic Alliance flight instructors, Tadel and Jamie Perris, (both of whom flew for the first Galactic Alliance), growing up as the middle child of five full siblings, plus two adopted siblings - in actuality, orphaned maternal cousins of his. Much of his early years were infused with time spent with his grandfather (for whom he was named), a former Republic pilot, former Incom test pilot, and at one time CEO of Incom itself, or his great-grandparents, when his parents both had their hands full with their duties.
Contact with family and friends of the family that were pilots, and hearing their stories, grew a desire in the boy to one day be just like them, but going through a rebellious phase - something his older sister would say never really ended, going so far as to say the 'T' stands for 'Trouble' - when his desire to fly caused him to clash with his parents' limitations due to his age and height, made the first of his true forays into flying that of the time-honoured, illicit variety: skipping classes to go joyriding with his friends. If his older brother - who he admired and at times idolised - could go off and become a Jedi when he was a kid, and later a pilot, then why couldn't he follow his dreams?
With the intervention and guidance of his parents, he slowly came to understand why, and with the 'carrot' dangled in front of him of his parents starting taking him around to become familiar with the path he so desperately wanted to pursue, only if he pulled up his grades, Kelly buckled down.
When he was twelve, his great grandfather, Tadel Perris Sr, died, and though this greatly saddened Kelly, he continued to throw himself into his schoolwork and goals. When he was thirteen, however, that brother he so admired turned his back on the Alliance and the New Jedi Order, as he had become disillusioned, and left. This was an event that damaged the relationship he had with Andrik (Rik), and embittered Kelly towards him. He didn't agree with his brother's reasons, and perhaps, didn't really understand the heart of them. Kelly carried this hurt part of him, buried, into the following years that saw him graduate from secondary school, enter the Pols Anaxes Naval War College, graduate from there as one of his cohort's top students, and be forwarded into the Galactic Alliance's Revenant Squadron soon after, ahead of the Alliance's move on Thyferra.
In this final stage of the Second Great Hyperspace War, Kelly went on to prove his skill first in the B-Wing he had initially been assigned to, then the X-wing, across several missions and two invasions that saw him accorded the rank of Lieutenant. After the end of the war, with losses suffered, Revenant Squadron was disbanded, and Kelly spent the subsequent long peace working various missions of patrol, support, and spots of combat where highly skilled pilots were needed, until one day he received new and solid orders, along with another step in rank to Captain; Revenant Squadron was reforming, under a former squadmate from Revenant's first iteration, and friend - Mylo Thorne - and Kelly was assigned as a flight leader under the man, along with a mix of pilots from other backgrounds and varying levels of experience, with one thing in common: the degree of skill necessary to weather the demands that would be placed on this now-storied unit as the possibility of fresh conflict whispered the conclusion of peace.
After successfully passing through the brutal SERE training offered on Janara III as a group, Revenant began to take on its first assignments to begin to gel as a squadron, and celebrated their reformation - the last stillness before the oncoming storm. The Mandalorians were rising and worlds were begining to cry out once again. These armoured peoples were no longer the comrades that had once stood alongside the Alliance in the last war.
A crusade was coming.

Kelly Trenton Perris started his time as an active duty pilot within an experienced Galactic Alliance unit - Revenant Squadron - and flew many missions and offensives in the final phase of the Second Great Hyperspace War, a time period capped off with the final nail in the coffin of the Brotherhood of the Maw, which brought the war to an end, and saw the young Corellian pilot ascend to the rank of Lieutenant.

To slow the advance of Imperial forces and assist the GADF on the ground. At the conclusion of the battle, he stops to pick up Addison, whose snowspeeder had crashed, and flew back to base within the now-cramped cockpit, his lap full of his beautiful squadmate.
➣ ILUMinati - Ilum Aftermath [COMPLETE] - In the hours after the battle, Kelly flies CAP (combat air patrol) with Revenant / Echo Group pilots in the debris field above Ilum, while Alliance ships are retrieved to be repurposed, and as SIA agents and Jedi search for data on the possible whereabouts of the Imperial superweapon unveiled in the attack, and its origins. ➣ Watching Your Six [INCOMPLETE] - Coming in from flying CAP in the Fondor System, with Revenant Squadron attached to ANS Ouroboros, Kelly encounters his squadmate, Addison upon her arrival - a woman for whom he has gained an interest - and spends time in her company.
➣ Interception [COMPLETE] - Kelly and other pilots of Revenant Squadron fly as part of an ambush on a Maw raiding fleet. Their mission? Protect the ANV Tython and neutralize enemy ships. ( Backstory for next arc - Kelly was tagged as being there, but the writer couldn't post. )
➣ Final Eclipse [COMPLETE] - Kelly flies with Revenant Squadron and other elements of the Starfighter Corps, in this final offensive against the Brotherhood of the Maw. Their mission? Clear a path for boarders and drop ships, and keep the enemy away from Lightpoint Station - the New Jedi Order's key element in the invasion. Though the Alliance won the day, it came at a great cost for the galactic power, and in a personal way for the Corellian, as members of Revenant were among the lost... including Revenant Actual. CLICK TO RETURN TO INDEX➣ Mighty Wings [INCOMPLETE] - The reformation of Revenant Squadron begins with Janara III's infamous and brutal SERE training program, developed in the aftermath of the war with the Brotherhood of the Maw. Pairs of pilots must traverse seven kilometres of hostile terrain to a rendezvous, while evading capture. If captured, they will be tortured, or subjected to, or exposed to methods of torture that the program administrators have knowledge of. Those that manage to evade capture and reach the rendezvous will get to wait, but will still receive the resistance training, regardless.
CRUSADES & COMRADES
In the long period of peace following the end of the war, which saw the disbandment of Revenant Squadron, Kelly was at first put on leave while coming to terms with the effects of the war and losses suffered... but all this did was drive the young man stir-crazy. Soon enough he was back in one cockpit or another, flying various missions from escort, to support, to spots of combat against straggling enemy elements until the day he was sent new orders, with another ascension in rank to Captain - conflict teased on the horizon, aRevenant Squadron was reforming, and he was assigned as a flight leader under a not-so-new commander: a former squadmate and friend from Revenant's first iteration, Mylo Thorne.
➣ Va-Va-Veradune [COMPLETE] - Kelly, along with members of the newly reformed Revenant Squadron and some Jedi pilots, test their mettle while speeding through the hazardous Golden Run around Aegis - part of friendly wargames with the soldiers and sailors of the Renascent Defense Legion... and on a wager amongst themselves.
