Accessibility

Keera Major is located along the Byss Run in the Deep Core and is relatively easy to locate on standard hyperspace charts. Though access to the outer System is permitted, access to the interior of the Keera Major System is much more heavily regulated and controlled due to the importance of the Orbital Shipyards. The System is heavily guarded with a series of Defense Platforms, Starfighter Docks, and a modest Corporate Fleet to ensure the Shipyard's continued operation and production.

Description

The Keera Major Orbital Array is comprised of multiple modules that are connected into a singular cohesive whole that orbits around the planet of Keera Major located in the Deep Core. The primary manufacturing facility is the Olympus Shipyards around which the Orbital Array was developed and constructed with each additional module providing additional logistical and manufacturing support to the primary facility. These additional modules include Orbital Space Colonies, Supply Stations, and at least one Medical Station; with additional, albeit smaller, manufacturing facilities dotted throughout the Array.

General Output

The rate at which the Keera Major Orbital Array is capable of producing Starships of varying sizes can be described as alarming when an individual is allowed to watch the process from start to finish. In some cases, the production of a smaller vessel, such as a Starfighter or a Shuttle Craft can often be accomplished in a Galactic Standard Day from start to finish. In other instances the production rate of a vessel can take longer due to its size; in these cases, it takes between three to six Galactic Standard Months to accomplish from the point of laying down the keel to ultimately launching the vessel. This rapid speed in which production is accomplished is thanks to carefully scheduled supply and material deliveries, on-site stockpiling of these materials, and the utilization of mass-produced templates, parts, and interchangeable systems integrated into a comprehensive production line.

Markets

The large bulk of the vessels produced at the Keera Major Orbital Array make their way into the hands of the Galactic Alliance currently located throughout the Core and adjacent Galactic Sectors. Additional markets are carefully curated and maintained such as those in the Braxant Sector and neighboring systems along the Braxant Run as well as unaligned political and military organizations that show a friendly or neutral disposition towards the Galactic Alliance. Starships produced at the Keera Major Orbital Array have also been spotted in the semi-autonomous regions of the Hapes Cluster and Chiss Ascendancy within the boundaries of the Galactic Alliance; as Aether Systems had spearheaded the modernization programs that ultimately provided newer starships to both the Hapan Royal Navy and the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Aether Systems Headquarters - Located at the top of the highest spire on the Olympus Manufacturing Facility; the Aether Systems Headquarters serves as the new home for the corporation since its relocation from the Planet of Taris in the Mid Rim. The Headquarters themselves contain Amelia's Executive Office as well as a Private Residence away from her home on Coruscant. The headquarters also maintains additional executive offices and workstations for personnel; lower floors house the main control room for the private hangars, lobbies, atriums, a security office, and the corporate mainframe. Hapan Shipyards - As the name suggests, the Hapan Shipyards are one of the secondary manufacturing facilities that produce warships and starships. The bulk of those vessels produced in the Hapan Shipyards are slated for the Hapes Consortium, specifically for the Hapan Royal Navy; with civilian vessels produced often finding themselves in the Hapan market as well. The shipyard is also known for its beauty, with its aesthetics and amenities being on par with what one would expect from the Hapan people. Braxant Shipyards - Similar in function, the Braxant Shipyards are a secondary manufacturing facility that produces warships and starships. The bulk of those vessels produced in these shipyards are slated for planets along the Braxant Run such as Jaemus and Entralla; and often find their way into the hands of the Royal Houses in the region, specifically House Renoux. The shipyard is known for its aesthetics reminiscent of the Great Houses of the Braxant Covenant that Amelia had the privilege of serving for a time before joining the Galactic Alliance. Coruscant Shipyards - The final named shipyard, the Coruscant Shipyards are a secondary manufacturing facility that produces warships and starships. The bulk of those vessels produced in these shipyards are slated for the Galactic Alliance to further bolster the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces; as well as provide additional vessels to the Chiss Ascendancy in the Unknown Regions at the fringe of Galactic Alliance territory. The shipyard is known for its Coruscanti aesthetics mixed with Chiss and Epicanthix influences. Aether Security Forces Headquarters - Though maintaining secondary offices and smaller sector stations, the Headquarters of Aether Security serves as the focal point that houses the bulk of the Security Forces deployed internally to protect the Orbital Array. This location houses the main armory and training facilities as well as the barracks that house the security personnel. Vesta Station - For many, Vesta Station serves as the first point of contact with the Keera Major Orbital Array as they are relocated to begin their new lives and start working for Aether Systems. Vesta Station houses the largest refugee population and provides temporary housing to incoming workers who have accepted the offer to work for Aether Systems as they attempt to rebuild their lives. The station is also known to house those Corporate Managers who have been deemed a security risk though are too high profile to be terminated or otherwise removed from the corporation and have been relocated with their families to ensure continued compliance and loyalty. Outer Sectors Drydocks - Of all the modules, stations, subsectors, and places in between, it is the Outer Sectors that are the most important and the most heavily defended sectors of the Keera Major Orbital Array. These vast manufacturing drydocks, christened Omega, Sigma, and Omnicron, are the crux of the Orbital Array as they are the only known facilities that can manufacture the colossal warships known as Dreadnoughts and Super Star Destroyers.

SECURITY - MAXIMUM

The Keera Major Orbital Array is an important piece of infrastructure for both the Civilian and Military Sectors of the Galactic Alliance. As the array is constructed of individual modules that have been connected into a singular cohesive whole, each piece maintains its defensive capabilities; which can be seen in the various individual designs of the stations - such as redundant deflector shield generators and reinforced hull plating in the Gratiae Space Colonies. Due to the importance of the Orbital Array to both Aether Systems and the Galactic Alliance, additional defensive capabilities were included in the final product. Spread throughout the Orbital Array are a half-dozen Starfighter Docks and a half-dozen Defense Platforms to provide additional defensive measures to protect the Orbital Array from enemy strikes or attempts at disrupting production. Additional defenses can be seen throughout the Keera Major System in the form of a modest Corporate Fleet that patrols the System and maintains security; with access to the interior of the system being heavily regulated and restricted to prevent unwanted attention. Internal security on the Orbital Station itself is further handled by Aether Security, a subsidiary of Aether Systems that provides a Corporate Security Force similar in function to the Espos of the Corporate Sector Authority.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Construction on the Keera Major Orbital Array began prior to the Mandalorian invasion of the Galactic Alliance when Aether Systems was contracted by the Galactic Alliance to spearhead the modernization of the Hapan Royal Navy. Each modular component that makes up the whole of the Orbital Array was designed and manufactured by Aether Systems in individual stages to ensure that necessary materials were available in accordance with a strict timetable that dominated the individual stages of production. The first stages of construction on the array began with the production of the Gratiae Space Colonies to provide housing for the millions of refugees and displaced peoples of the Galaxy that were hired by Aether Systems to bolster their workforce and accomplish this gargantuan task and marvel of engineering. Additional modules were added as time went on; these included various supply stations and a dedicated medical station as well as additional smaller manufacturing facilities to keep up with the growing demand of the Galactic Alliance for new vessels and warships. The crowning jewel of the Orbital Array was constructed in the final stages; the Olympus Manufacturing Facility. This penultimate piece of the Orbital Array was also the most important, as it holds the three dry docks that are capable of housing and manufacturing Dreadnoughts or Super Star Destroyers, making it a crucial piece of military infrastructure to the Galactic Alliance. The Keera Major Orbital Array has since become the new home of and houses the Headquarters of the Aether Systems Corporation, which had relocated to the Deep Core from the Mid Rim planet of Taris. Due to its importance to the Galactic Alliance, construction of the Orbital Array was a closely guarded secret, and access to the region remains restricted to prevent it from being discovered and potentially targeted.
