STRENGTHS
+ Gifted by Teign: Jiriad is a skilled blacksmith and craftsman, creative and resourceful, said to be the gift of Teign, the Valkyri Smithing God
+ Valiant: A true Valkyri through-and-through, Jiriad never shies away from a fight, never backs down, and always chooses the most direct approach, with the intent of one day dying a glorious death worthy of sending him to Beornskald, the resting place of great Valkyri warriors.

+ The Strength of Giants: Jiriad is incredibly strong, on the same level as a Wookiee, and him swinging a melee weapon in battle is a right terrible sight for his foes.

WEAKNESSES
- Stubborn:
The flip side of his valiancy, Jiriad digs his heels in once he's made his mind on something, to the annoyance of some non-Valkyri allies. Once his mind is set, good luck convincing him to change it.
- Large and in Charge: Due to his impressive size, Jiriad occasionally runs into problems when buildings or ships are not built to accommodate larger-than-average individuals.

APPEARANCE:
Simply put, Jiriad Galaar is a mountain of a man. Owing to his Valkyri biology, Jiriad stands at six foot eight, 175 pounds of meat and muscle. His blond hair is braided in the typical Valkyri fashion, a well-kept beard adorns his jaw and extends to over his ears, and his back and arms are inked in Valkyri runes telling tales of glorious combat. He is often clad in a style of beskar'gam similar to that used by the ancient Mandalorian Crusaders, decorated with the bones of animals native to Midvinter. He also owns a beautiful helmet adorned with mythosaur bones and horns, gifted to him by Jor Kvall Jor Kvall during a feast at his hall. (Playby: Eivor Varinson)

BIOGRAPHY:
Jiriad Galaar began life as Skjor Snjóhaukur, a Valkyri warrior born on Midvinter. For much of his early life Skjor was a simple warrior, trained from birth to wield a blade and taught to charge fearlessly into battle. He did so with great zeal, bringing the Snjóhaukur clan much glory. Eventually Skjor became the clan chieftain, continuing to fight battle after battle, bringing victory and honor upon himself and his kin. His life's course would be changed forever, however, when he met the Mandalorians.

One day, he and two of his warriors came upon a group of Mandalorians in one of Midvinter's many meadhalls. Curious of the ironclad outsiders he approached the leader and challenged him to a brawl, hoping to test these foreign warrior's strengths. The Mandalorian group's leader accepted, and after stripping themselves of their armor and upper clothing, they began the fistfight. The two of them were evenly matched at first but eventually Skjor gained the upper hand, pinning the Mando with an arm like a tree trunk.

Skjor let out an uproarious laugh, helping the outsider to his feet before buying a round of drinks for his men and the Mandalorians. The six warriors drank and exchanged stories for hours, realizing that their cultures shared many similarities after all. Over the course of the night they fought at least four more times, friendly tests of strength rather than anything borne of malice.

To his surprise, the Mandalorians extended to Skjor and his kin an offer, to join their ranks as mighty Mando'ade, having proven themselves as mighty warriors. After returning to his clan and debating with his kinsmen for hours, Skjor accepted the offer, as long as he and his kin were allowed to follow the Mandalorian culture in a way that respected their Valkyri beliefs. To turn their backs on their gods would be inviting disaster. The Mandalorians responded that, as long as they followed the resol'nare, they could worship whoever they wished.

They chose Krownest as their new home, as its snowy weather and chilly climate were like home to the Valkyri. Skjor took on the Mandalorian name Jiriad Galaar, or White Hawk, and quickly adapted to the Mandalorian way of life. He put his blacksmithing talents gifted by Teign to forge a suit of beskar'gam, adorned with pelts earned during his days as a simple Valkyri warrior. He also forged Heimasax or "Home Axe", a simple but brutally efficient axe also made of the Mandalorian iron, adorned with a red ruby and images of wolf-like creatures from Midvinter.

Although the Valkyri are very disdainful of technology, Jiriad was able to form a close bond with an I'dadr-class Bes'uliik due to its bestial appearance and the animal-like loyalty the mechanical beasts form with their rider. He named the basilisk "Járndýr", or "Iron Animal" in the language of his people and treats it just as he would an organic mount.

Leading the newly christened Clan Galaar from a mighty fortress on Krownest, Jiriad Galaar swore fealty to the Mand'alor and the United Clans of Mandalore, ready to take up arms against their foes. He quickly bonded with Jor Kvall, a fellow Clan Leader on Krownest. The two became friends over a feast at Heorot Hall, the home of Clan Kvall, and Jor gifted Jiriad a helmet adorned with mythosaur bones and horns; as much a piece of art as a piece of armor.

But then the Sith Empire came, dashing the United Clans' territory and forcing Mandalorian loyalists into hiding. Clan Galaar was able to fly under the radar, and when the time came that Alor Kvall called for a meeting of loyalist Mandalorians on Krownest Jiriad gladly answered the call. He joined the Forest Sons, a Mandalorian revolution group against the Sith Invaders, and pledged that he would see Krownest free from their hands or die fighting to see it so.

To ensure the safety of Clan Galaar, however, Jiriad has made the difficult decision to abandon Fort Cinciri'galaar for the safety of the Enclave, a sect of Mandalorians that safeguard the future of their people while cleaning up the seedy underbelly of the galaxy. Since relocating, the Mandalorians of Clan Galaar have adapted and are far from the technophobes they once were; now they mix Valkyri smithing techniques with Mandalorian ones and modern technology, elevating their craft to a higher level. Jiriad now seeks to join the ranks of the Forgemasters, the enclave's finest smiths and innovators of technology. He quickly completed the Metalsmith Discipline, and now seeks to achieve ascension in the other Disciplines to become a true Forgemaster.

After far too long, with Krownest now free of the Sith Clan Galaar has begun efforts to rebuild their home there, but still they will not forget the pact they have made with the Enclave. The Enclave gave his people a home when they had none, and for that he is eternally grateful.
