- Beskar: The axe is constructed of Mandalorian iron, or beskar, and as such it is capable of crossing blades with lightsabers without immediately destroyed.

Heimasax, or Home Axe in his native tongue, is the admittedly-barebones personal axe of Mandalorian clan leader Jiriad Galaar. Though it boasts no technological features to speak of, not even a vibration cell, Heimasax is as much a work of art as it is a weapon of war. Though a normal human would struggle to lift it let alone swing it, Jiriad is a Valkyri and so is quite a fair bit stronger than your average man, and as such wields the mighty axe in both hands to cleave through all that stand in his way. Brass wolves adorn the head of the axe, reminiscent of the beasts on Jiriad's homeworld Midvinter, and a gleaming flame gem on either side of the axe serves as an indicator of his status as the clan's alor. Jiriad forged this axe after forming Clan Galaar and settling down on Krownest, combining his mastery of the forge with the beskar and smithing techniques granted to him after joining the Mandalorian Clans. Heimasax is a weapon very much like its wielder: low-tech but resilient and brutally effective.
