Lily was not feeling nervous about the class. While it was definitely a class that she had not done before, she did not view it that differently from the classes she had taught younglings in combat forms and how to fight. This was about the Force and it was surrounding on a power that she had only more recently felt more comfortable in using in a practical combat situation. Stasis and Stasis Field was a powerful ability if the user was able to get it to work. Freezing an enemy, even for a short time, was a death sentence when you were a skilled combatant. Lily had developed her skills so that she could affect a radius of people but it was not something that she used often. There was always a cost when it came to the Force and Lily couldn't rely on having the stamina to pay that cost too often herself.

Looking around the very large training room, while she wasn't expecting a massive class, the Jedi Knight did think that giving plenty of space between students would be important and Lily wanted to make sure that there was enough breathing room to train. Utilising droids was something that was fairly practical with this ability, it was exciting or interesting. As much as some droids had personality and provided some feedback, there were limitations and it was not going to be helpful feedback when it came to the Force. Instead, Lily had thought about just offering herself as someone that students could attempt to stun, but there was problems with that as well. There was no guarantee it would work and time constraints.

Then it came to Lily that she needed to approach the training from the mindset of how or why would someone use this power. From there, she should form the class. Being outnumbered was the main scenario for the higher level ability, but it was still an approach for the more lower level Stasis ability. Freezing one opponent to manage the numbers better, so Lily sought out assistance from fellow Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters, as well as some of the soldiers that she had gotten to know well within the High Republic. See how the students got on with attempting to stun a diverse group of targets.

Of course, there had to be a demonstration from Lily as well, just to show how she utilised the ability and the intention effect that it would have on targets. So that the Padawans would have the best framework to work from. All Lily was doing was waiting for the volunteers and students to arrive. Then she could begin the class.

It was not something he was particularly fond of doing, but Lira had a good point. If he wanted to be a better father someday (no, they don’t have children right now!) he needed to learn how to be a better leader. Right now, as good as he was at his job, he didn’t have a great deal of social skills. He was not going to go to some cotillion alone, that was not happening, and frankly she was not going to them either so there was something else, this.

Connel was able to teach, it was a social situation but he could control, or at least help control the flow of a class. That was why he was walking into the training area of the Shiraya Temple, no, this was not his class, but when Decoria sent out the feelers for those who might be able to help demonstrate, Lira happened to see the message and gave him that grin of hers. The Corellian didn’t tell him what to do, but this would be good for him and they both knew it so he was there.

I can help with demonstrations.

Kadeon Virell arrived early. Not because he was especially eager for a lecture. No, if there was going to be a challenge involved, Kade preferred being the first one in the room.

The young Knight stepped into the training space with the easy confidence of someone who had spent most of his life being one of the most physically gifted people around. His athletic frame filled the doorway for a moment before he continued inside, green eyes sweeping over the gathering students and instructors.

A grin tugged at one corner of his mouth. Not a bad turnout. His gaze settled briefly on the woman leading the session. Well. That explained the turnout.

Kade straightened slightly, running a hand through the braids hanging over one shoulder before offering Lily a bright, practiced smile. "Master Lily." His tone carried just enough charm to make it clear he knew exactly what he was doing. They were officially peers, “Master” was not technically required. Though Lily was a far more experienced Jedi and even Kade’s ego wouldn’t allow him to discount any respect she was due.

"Looking forward to seeing what you've got planned." The smile widened a fraction. "And trying not to make everybody else look bad."

He was joking. Mostly. Then his attention shifted toward Connel. The grin didn't disappear. Connel looked like the sort of Jedi who had spent enough years in the field to have stories worth hearing. The kind of fighter who probably knew a dozen tricks Kade hadn't seen yet.

That alone earned a measure of respect. But Kade's competitive instincts immediately added another thought. Wonder if I can keep up with him. Or better yet—Wonder if I can beat him.

Not in anything important. Just enough to know where the line was. The young Knight folded his arms across his chest and settled into place among the students. Whatever the lesson turned out to be, he intended to leave an impression. And preferably the best one in the room.
