Iron & Silver Treaty [Iron Empire & Order of The Silver Jedi]

Order of the Silver Jedi: [member="Coci Heavenshield"] | [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Catherine Soja"] | [member="Sorel Crieff"] | [member="D’in Ss’ikoo"] | [member="Kiriko"]

She was moving around and looking at the ones who came to greet them. Staying silent off to the side much like Sorel but letting large red eyes roam over everything before feeling here and there with the force. So far all of the ones who came here had been human or looked human which for the chiss in her was making her wonder about her species on the world and how they were being treated but private concerns when she looked around at a few of the others who were all set up. She was looking at Sorel and Catherine who had come around, some others were out here where they were being joined on the way towards the palace itself. "It is interesting." She said it while walking and clasping her hands behind her back

Vinten reached the top of the stairs, where two guards stood. They parted, opening the door to allow him inside. He nodded as they opened, and decided to ask a quick question. "The Silver Jedi delegates haven't arrived yet, have they?"

"No sir. The Emperor and some of the other Iron Empire officials are inside, but none of the Silver Jedi."

"Very good. Thank you." Vinten slowed his pace and strolled in. Perhaps he wasn't as late as he had thought. He headed to the Great Hall. When he entered, he looked up to the Emperor, [member="Isamu Baelor"], sitting at the head of the table. He bowed, before walking over and taking a seat beside [member="Zeradias Mant"]. "Emperor Baelor, Admiral Mant." He gave a slight smile as he nodded his head at each. He then turned to his droid, along with his guards, who had followed him inside. "Wait outside." The droid nodded and headed off, followed by the two guards.

A raised eye brow and a smile was returned to Thurion for his cheeky gesture. And after his less formal introduction the delegation of the Silver Order proceeded up the steps upon which Théo was waiting for them along with [member="Kiriko"] bounding up and down the steps paying little attention to the proceedings or the importance of it. This alone, set Coci’s mind at ease, it is true she cares very little for such gathers, even though she is aware they are necessary in the broader scheme of things.

Like most of the delegation, Coci had noticed the military presences and although most of the Jedi would find this aspect interesting and maybe a little unwarranted for them, she admired it having come from a military background on Corellian well before the destruction of her home planet. And in her mind she was already ticking over the numbers of soldiers, form of habit she supposed.

It was good to see her son, he looked well and pleased with himself as when they finally arrived he had noticed their presence. They would have little time for catching up at this moment, but after the talks they could. “My son it is good to see you well”, she greeted him placing a hand on his face before leaning in to place a kiss on his cheek. Mother and son had grown even closer the past couple of month before he left to come to Ilum, there was no more secrets.

Bato had arrived on scene, and Théo sent a smile and nod his way as he continued to pace the steps. Kiriko occupied his time in waiting with play and for a while Théo watched him envying him the ability to do it, remembering the freedom that was given to himself at this age, well not given to him, Théo had taken it upon himself to take freedom with his two small hands whether his parents agreed or not. And for a fleeting moment he wondered how Zak was doing now a married man. Probably will not see him again as he will be busy with his new wife.

With all the to and froing and the excitement of the Jedi arriving, people seemed confusion on where they should be for the proceedings. Théo knew, he knew it was best to stay in one spot when it comes to this sort of event. Let them come to me! And so they did, his parents and the delegation had finally arrived to the palace and naturally mother being mother would greet him with a kiss, in front of the whole delegation and Iron Empire .. parents can be so embracing sometimes. "I am fine mother, thank you", he said in return and his hand raised to rub the back of his neck awkwardly aware others would be watching this. Regardless, he kissed her cheek in return after all no one ever incites the disappointment of a mother.

As father came to him, Théo stepped aside and took a low bow at the waist, "Grand Master Heavenshield, welcome to the House Palace", oh so very formal and ceremonial to his father, and this of course was done on purpose knowing just how much his father dislikes formalities. And a big smile greeting him as Théo stood up straight.

Coming to this meeting was a mistake. Bato was convinced of this, as he waited outside for the Jedi to arrive. As dull as diplomatic meetings were, doing nothing was far worse, and after one of the guards shot him a mean look for trying to goof around with Kiriko, he was stuck standing outside like a statue, waiting. It was certainly impressive how the guards did it. He'd have to ask them for their secret sometime. For now, however, he would just have to bite the bullet.

Just as Bato was approaching the limits of his patience, the Silver Jedi guests finally made their way over the top of the stairs. He jumped back to attention and couldn't help but snicker at Theo's mother doting on him. But he was here to make a good impression and sell the illusion that the Iron Empire had any artistic worth. It was a tough lie to sell as far as he knew, but you don't get nominated for the Independent Galactic Film Awards for bad acting. And besides, if it turned out that the nation was hiding some secret cultural goldmine, all would be well.

He put on his most friendly smile and approached the guests. "Hey, welcome to the Palace. It's great to have you here. "

Before he had arrived at the House Palace, the Anzat had nodded after Coci responded in kind to him. Krayzen then heard Thurion speak about the soldiers that they had. "Security is always important for us Master Jedi, as I'm sure it is for you." He had never been on Voss, so the Anzat took Thurion's word for it. Even then, he had always been curious about the SSJ. The information he once had as a One Sith General couldn't be trusted anymore, as it was obsolete.

When they had arrived, Krayzen so familiar faces, including Bato Golden, an actor he had heard about. He then saw Thurion, speak with his family, Krayzen seeing them converse with one another. He then remembered his mother, and how she treated him, and Krayzen smiled at the joy of that memory.

Krayzen had always walked in the dark, and he knew that he could never walk in the light. He had always wondered if recovering artifacts strong in the dark-side of the force would make him he had once been. The thought however only stayed in his head for a second, as he had more important tasks to deal with.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
She was well versed now in holding her tongue – she’d had years of practice. She was also adept at avoiding being too judgemental – this was a constant challenge for her, but one she managed to keep just the right side of.

She was even much better at keeping her face neutral when faced with anything she found less than to her scruples. She’d visited too many strange planets and witnessed way too many odd practices from cultures that purported to be civilised but were clearly more than a few thousand years out when it came to a morality clock. She tended to resign these to the ‘never reflect upon or ever look to knowingly remember’ part of her brain.

But the presence of dark siders was the one thing that she found most challenging of all. She hoped that to anyone who did not know her, her visage was neutral. To those that knew her well, it was clear she was holding her features in check, less they shared the fact that she found their presence uncomfortable. Not that she wanted to fight them or even turn them to the light. Just that she wanted to avoid their company.

For Sorel had history with the dark side and every encounter was an unnecessary reminder, a painful memory.

So she looked around for something positive to focus on. You could only stare at so many soldiers in armour and be impressed, so she quickly lost interest in them. But finally she was in luck. A Jedi she’d undertaken more than one mission with before.

So she gave Théo a wink as she approached him, allowing him to greet his parent’s first. “It makes a change not to be in a cave or a tunnel,” she said as she bowed to him. She would hold her tongue when it came to the formal discussions, but who would deny her the chance to chat with an old friend.

And she wondered who else might be present today – and afford her the chance to have not one but two conversations. For Sorel that was the equivalent of really letting her hair down.

Zeradias Mant

Democracy Dies in Darkness
After escaping from the clutches of a remnant One Sith military and in turn quashing their opposition, the Iron Empire certainly seemed to be on the rise. Between their annexation of Ilum and increasing in size impact on the galactic stage, Admiral Mant's role in the empire was more important now than ever. Overseeing the bulk of the empire's navy as well as pursuing his own interests with the Aegis Initiative, his growth would soon outpace that of the empire.

Seated at his rightful place at the right of the emperor, he waited with his liege for their Silver Jedi guests to arrive. He admittedly wasn't too familiar with the philosophy of the Force or it's followers, though he knew enough that the Jedi were generally more 'good' in their practices. He was eager to learn more of the Silver Jedi in this meeting.

Not long after ordering a soldier to invite the Jedi in, High Warden Vinten Veers had entered late, though just in the nick of time before any of their guests have arrived. With a curt nod, he greeted the warden as he had greeted the emperor and himself.

He was eager though to parlay with their neighbors in the Tingel Arm, sitting anxiously to see what they'd be dealing with.

Allowing Coci to be the first to greet their son, he watched as the two embraced one another with a smile. He took the opportunity to say hello to the little Beorni cub, giving him a pat on his snow-white head. "Hello, Kiriko," he greeted him with a chuckle. "I see you're finding ways to enjoy yourself, as usual." He gave the cub a good scratch behind the ear just as he looked up to find Théo bowing at the waist. Thurion swiftly stepped up to his son and threw his arms around him in firm embrace. His hand settled itself at the back of Théo's head, caressing his raven locks. "My boy," he whispered past his ear, after which he pulled back just enough to cup Théo's cheeks in both hands. "It does my heart good to see you," he then spoke in his own father's words as their foreheads touched briefly.

"Well then, let's not keep our hosts waiting any longer than we already have," he said aloud as their embrace ended far too soon. "Duty calls," he winked at his son before continuing past him up the last steps until he stood before the grand entrance. Just as the palace guards were about to open the gates for the delegates, Thurion raised his hand in gentle protest. "I'm quite capable of opening a door by myself," he told them with a smirk before grabbing hold of the large door handles to pull the twin doors wide open. Granted, they were a tad heavier than he'd expected.

He didn't wait for General Dratos or Warden Alexander to lead the way, instead insisting on finding his own way. After taking a moment to admire the beauty of the House Palace's interiors, the Grandmaster simply let his own intuition guide his step. That, and the number of guards stationed outside the correct chambers revealed to him the Iron Emperor's location. With his wife and son at either side, Thurion stepped through the set of doors to lay eyes upon Emperor Isamu Baelor sat across the large room, at the far end of the table. Upon setting foot inside he quickly offered him the traditional Jedi bow. "My lord Emperor, we meet at last..."

Viktor didn't mind all all the Grand Master push forward unescorted. Viktor smiled and followed along just to the side of the delegation. The brief stop as Thurion and Coci greeted their son was a curious but pleasant thing to observe. Viktor was not aware a Heavenshield was part of the Empire but it did not matter to him at all. He simply quietly let them catch up before they moved on to meet with the Emperor.

Viktor slid in behind the delegation stepping off to the side he gave the Emperor a small bow before moving over to his own seat at the table as part of the Iron Empire delegation. He allowed his arrival coinciding with the delegation explain his late arrival to the room itself.

Admiral Mant and High Warden Veers would also receive polite nods as Viktor settled in waiting for the formalities to be exchanged between his Emperor and Grand Master Heavenshield.

Oh, that was just the right spot!

Lowering his head, the young Beorni closed his eyes as his head was scratched. He actually tilted his head just slightly left, so that [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] had better reach to get behind his right ear.

As the man's hand came away, the boy gave a kind of yawn-rumble sound, before rubbing affectionately against the man's leg. Then, shaking his head - his snout still being dusted with snow - the cub started back up the steps, behind the entourage now following Grand Master Heavenshield.

Rianna made sure she was dressed appropriately, and carried her med bag as always. These talks were for the Silver Jedi and the Iron Empire she understood the need they each may feel to have friends they could rely upon in the days ahead.

She walked softly with the group and ensured not to bring attention to herself, yet. All diplomacy began with learning to listen, and finding a common road. Something that House Organa had learned long ago and tried to instill in others now.

She wished for a moment for the familiar arm of her riduur [member="Ordo"] who often sat in upon discussions, his mind working quickly through much of the banter and striking at the heart of the talks. Today she must listen just as carefully, and choose words that make sense when she chose to utter them.

It seemed the Jedi delegation was in a winking mood today. Which told Théo they are all in fine form and a good mood. And why not! the capitol city, Csaplar was looking very inviting to the eye and there was a sense of occasion in the air. And it was cold, who doesn't love the cold weather? Kiriko certainly reveled in it, literally, as his soft fluffy white coat was flecked with snow from his frolicking. Théo suspected that after his father's scratch behind the ear Kiriko would soon find a place to sleep, either that or the talks would lull him into it.

The warm embrace from his father, however, was most welcome, as Théo had not had the chance to see his father before the mission and tell him of his intentions. But Thurion knows his son well and was not surprised to see him still here. They would speak more later as pressing events needed all their attention. However, Théo's attention was stolen when Sorel greeted him and he bowed back in return with a smile. "I am not sure I agree with you, considering the nice company I had that day", he smiled more to his friend.

A trait of Théo's he has since a child rose to the surface and he fell in behind his parents to enter the House Palace, he took little notice of the decor or the many people inside looking to see who had arrived and chattered among themselves, but instead he held out his arm for [member="Sorel Crieff"] to take so he could escort her into the rooms for the meeting. A gesture done on purpose for a couple of reasons, firstly he liked her and he could sense her discomfort so this might take her mind of the concern, and secondly, because he knew it might, just might .. annoy her. Oh how she loves his chivalry. And he winked back with a wicked grin.

And so they strode through the grandeur of the Palace, most impressive it was along with all the formalities that had been on display for them to see. For once, Coci was enjoying herself under the circumstances, it was taking her mind off more recent events and so it was welcomed. As she walked by Thurion's side and came to the main room in which the meeting would take place, she brushed down her robes to iron out the any creases which were not their, but the gesture gave her cause to settle her mind more.

The table stood between them and the Emperor and his leaders of the Empire, none of which she had had the pleasure of meeting before this day. She could not help but notice the lack of female presence, not that this was part of their culture as best she knew, but curious none the less. For once, Thurion beat her to the introductions and so she simply bowed mirroring her husbands and waited to be invited to sit. "Emperor Baelor, it is a pleasure to meet you and to find you well". She offered.

Vinten watched the door open, and [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] entered. As he approached, he gave a slight nod and a smirk, showing his respect. Thurion went on to speak with [member="Isamu Baelor"], and as they spoke, Vinten looked to the door. Everyone began to pour in, filling the hall quickly. "It would seem the party has begun." He looked over to [member="Zeradias Mant"], giving a slight chuckle. When he turned back, [member="Viktor Alexander"] came in. Vinten knew him well. They had met many times in many different situations. Vinten was quite fond of his fellow warden, as he had become a strong ally. He nodded to him as he entered, giving a slight smile. "It's good to see you again Warden Alexander."

Vinten scratched his forehead and clasped his hands together. He rested them on the table and leaned back, taking in everyone he could see. So many people he had never met before. How exciting! This could be a good opportunity to make some new acquaintances and perhaps even allies.

As the Jedi mingled, and conversed among one's self, Krayzen looked at his datapad, reviewing the military patrols around the city in order to make sure no attack would occur. While they may have been different from the Sith, the Anzat knew that there were always people who would hate them allying with their former enemies, and if they attacked, they would be dealt with in a swift strike.

Krayzen silently left the area, in order to meet with Isamu. When he arrived, he saw Isamu with Warden Vinten & Viktor, as well as the Rear Admiral, Zeradius. The General was not aware of the former, but he had seen Zeradius before, although Krayzen had to admit he was unfamiliar with him.

"Emperor." he said, bowing down to the man he had stood by with in Coruscant. He then waited, and soon, the Jedi would arrive. Finally, the meeting can begin he thought, as Krayzen sat down, looking forward to it.

Aster rose from her seat to greet the Jedi who had entered the room, filled with excitement. "Welcome to the Iron Empire members of the Silver Jedi," she smiled gracefully, her words were primarily directed at the man whom she assumed was [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and his wife, [member="Coci Heavenshield"] who stood beside him. Although saw that the man seemed to be conversing with her uncle, the Emperor, she wanted to welcome him and his wife nonetheless.

Once she had said her part, Aster shyly moved to sit at the seat to the left of the Emperor. Though she was not close to the man, she wanted to have the best seat to observe the meeting from and that seemed to be it. Awkwardly, the teenager sat back down and her eyes searched the party for [member="Sorel Crieff"], a Jedi who had assisted her before during a rather troublesome situation and someone she had hoped to meet again today.

Anxiously, the blonde fiddled with the strands of hair that framed her face wondering if the hostage situation in which she received assistance from one of the Silver Jedi would be brought up during today's negotiations. Should things go smoothly, she expected to find herself training in the ways of the Force amongst the Jedi soon.

While she watched everyone the bubbly happy tone of [member="Aster Rose Baelor"] caught her attention. She was force sensitive too. But even as her emotions flooded out the Emperors too hit the Knight hard. The force flowed Darkly around him as if a weight lay upon his shoulders. What it was she could not tell exactly she didint read minds just sensed their overall emotional state overall. But above all that he was in control of himself. She looked to the woman again who greeted them. She decided while the big titles spoke she could speak back. "Catherine Soja. An honour to meet you. " She spoke. She had to be a force sensitive it flowed too strongly in her to be normal. For now she left it unsaid preferring not to make a possible scene.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Of course every Youngling was given academic lessons as well as Jedi teaching. So Sorel understood the basics of science – and more specifically force with a lower case ‘f’. Someone or another’s third law stated ‘For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.’

And in Sorel’s experience since learning that, it applied to much more than the subject of science and physics. And the present time was a case in point. Her wink was the action and it quite reasonably caused a reaction she could not help but accept as a consequence.

She welcomed his warm smile and would agree that despite the challenges they faced, the experience was not entirely unpleasant. In part because she chose to be there – she always did. It was why she was a Jedi. But typically who you were with was a factor in how the mission played out and also how you reflected on it. She had few friends – the life of a roving Jedi meant contact was limited outside of missions and they invariably meant interaction with different people. But there were a handful she would venture to refer to as friends as much as colleagues and Théo was definitely numbered among them.

So she wrinkled her nose briefly when he offered his arm but her face quickly returned to its normal state as she accepted the invitation and linked him. And then he smiled and winked back. Which gave her the automatic right to respond. Laws of physics had to be obeyed after all!

But the law didn’t specify a timeframe, as far as she knew, so she saved the opportunity for later. Meanwhile, she smiled warmly in return. “I see you are part of the welcoming party. Care to share?” And no sooner had she asked than she spotted another familiar face – one that was looking around at the party and fiddling with her hair. For a moment, Sorel wondered if she knew more of the hosts than the visitors.

If he was being completely honest with himself, Bato Golden was more than a tad bit offended. The Jedi had completely snubbed his greeting and walked right past him, without so much as an acknowledging glance. And as he trailed a few meters behind them sulking, Bato frowned. He couldn't remember the other Jedi being this rude.

With both his opinion and mood both soured, the actor dropped into his seat gracelessly. He took a few moments to apply his best poker face; there was no point in soiling the meetings for everyone else. At least, not yet. Bato gave the Emperor a slight nod while he was seated, and turned his attention to the other Iron Empire hosts. As far as he could recall, he hadn't met many of them before, and he usually had a good memory for this sort of thing. He gave himself a mental note to introduce himself, when the moment was more suitable. Or when he had stopped pouting, whichever came first.
