Sic transit gloria mundi
Meanwhile on Tygara, Siobhan was taking a break from resettling Eldorai refugees, dealing with Game of Thrones style plots and plotting to kill Archangel's clones. Said break consisted of spending time on a treadmill. This was good exercise. She was not getting any younger after all, even though she'd vehemently dismiss claims about having grey streaks in her flawless firemane.
While she was busy with her walk/run, her PA, an Eldorai called Maerys Medea, stepped into the office. As usual, the bureaucrat was well-dressed in a conservative women's business suit and wore a neat pair of glasses. "Yes. What is it, Maerys?" She made a casual mental gesture to turn down the holotelly's volume. She'd put on a trashy comedy series to distract herself.
"Pardon the interruption, ma'am, but I have news that require the Countess' attention," she spoke in her usual prim and proper tone. "Progress reports from Sergeant Solveig regarding the training of the Qadiri Sepoys, a COAS assessment regarding Archangel operations on Zygerria," she put to folders with neat aurebesh sigils on the desk, "oh, and the Royal House of Alderaan just declared independence from the Mandalorian Clans."
Siobhan raised an eyebrow, but maintained her pace on the treadmill. "I see. That's interesting. I imagine Vereen is backing it since their Alor is Prince-Consort, and Ordo has ties to the Royal House. How are the other Clans responding?"
"So far it appears they're letting Alderaan go. They have enough trouble on their hands since the cataclysm on Mandalore. I imagine Alderaan's royal house will reach out to other worlds in the quadrant, such Camaas and Kuat. Alderaan's defence fleet seems to be on high alert."
"Probably. Being disarmed and pacifist did not go well for them when the death star came knocking. Compose a message to the royal family expressing our support and enquire about their intentions." Siobhan had no connection to Alderaan, but Draco had been an ally on the battlefields of Atrisia and Kaeshana. "Do we have any assets on the ground?"
Maerys checked her notes, adjusting her glasses slightly. "Ms [member="Taryc Ap'Irae"] has been training with the Knights of Alderaan and I believe [member="HK-36"] is engaged in talks with the local leaders, ma'am."
"Good. Instruct Taryc to keep up the good work and assist the Alderaanians if they require it. Now about the Sepoys...I hope Solveig did not have to kick out too many because they didn't meet her standards. And has COAS finally made any headway in locating Kaelin Isandros' clone? I'd like her head on a silver platter sooner rather than later."
