APPEARANCE

Like most Nagai, Neesa has deathly pale skin and jet black hair. Having never been taught what to do with her hair it is roughly hewn and generally left long and unkempt. On occasions it is kept tightly back within a hood.

Neesa has a very, hard lean build. For most of her juvenile life she was forced to be active to stay alive and was generally malnourished. Whilst she is no longer eating from what she can steal, she sees eating more than necessary, or indulging in treats as wasteful. Her jaw is angular with a sharp chin and nose. Her pupils are light grey, but flecked with bright yellow (one of the only signs of her pureblood heritage) and her eyes narrow. Together with her build this tends to give her a fairly harsh appearance.

She typically wears form fitting, practical clothing underneath a flowing black cloak. She rarely wears anything that doesn’t give her freedom of movement and her cloak is often discarded quickly. Through most of her childhood she was forced to flee regularly and not being permitted the freedom to run or having any extraneous clothing that could catch on anything whilst fleeing down narrow alleys would have proven fatal.

DESCRIPTION

Neesa isn’t one for formalities. Or rather wasn’t until Pureblood Sith started to draw her into their staunchly hierarchical world. She knows well how to hold her tongue when required now. She does not trust easily and keeps to few words with people she isn’t familiar with. Those she knows well she’s blunt and relatively foul mouthed to. She was brought up on the street and it shows. There is a silent determination in her that few who have lived lives of luxury can understand.

Neesa isn’t cruel as such, but she has a deep vindictive streak towards any who she feels has wronged her. Many can find themselves on this list quite easily. She had a lot of pent up anger and can easily direct it at those she feels are responsible for the world she grew up in.

Neesa is relatively cautious, preferring to appraise a situation from a distance and meticulously plan. She wasn’t always this way and can still be rash in certain situations, but this behaviour is well drilled in through training and numerous failures. She grew up in a world where every day failure meant going hungry, or worse. Ever since she was young she had been a resourceful creature. At times she can be quite naive. Whilst suspicious by default, she doesn’t have the breadth of common knowledge to always understand when someone is lying.

She is an extremely dextrous sith and a nimble climber with almost no fear of heights. She has learned some basic aspects of the Force and has instinctively read minds and used telekinesis since she was young. Even though she was not brought up in her species’ culture, she has a strong affinity for blades. Her master had his aides teach her swordplay and knife work. During this time, when she was groomed to join the Sith she was also given basic technical knowledge and shown how to slice with pre-packaged tools. A required skill for the trials she was sent on.

HISTORY
Neesa was abandoned as a small child. She maintains almost no memories of her parents, merely images and feelings. She assumes she was abandoned, but has no proof that was the case. In fact her mother was a Sith. Her father was a handsome, but not particularly bright man, easily seduced by her mother. Witnessing the life that Neesa would be drawn into he made an attempt to flee with his young daughter. He made it to Livien Magnus, waiting for a long distance transport, before being tracked down. He was gunned down in the streets, never to return to the apartment he’d rented. The troopers were unable to locate the girl and defected rather than face her mother’s wrath. Her mother was killed at the Battle of Manaan. The young pale-skinned girl was taken into social care when the money stopped being paid for the apartment a few weeks later. They were surprised to find that such a young child had kept herself in reasonable health whilst alone for so long, managing to copy the way her father used a datapad to order food deliveries.

A fiercely independent creature, Neesa moved through several orphanages and foster families before decided to leave the care system. Her pallid skin and initial malnourishment gave her a gaunt appearance and made begging difficult. She carried out a range of tasks to stay fed. These included: begging; sorting through a recycling centre at the outskirts of the city; cleaning airspeeders in traffic queues; and theft. She always avoided joining the gangs of children that formed within each district. On one hand she lost the protection and warmth that came with the gangs, but she avoided the disease from close contact and the adult criminals that tended to pick from them.

She killed her first person at age twelve. Refusing to join with the local children that were being sent to distribute packages of spice she was cornered by a grown man. The sliver of metal felt natural in her hands. She brought it down over and over until he stopped twitching.

Over time she started to instinctively use the Force. Just simple tricks such as a rough shove. The most useful ability she developed was a simple sense of danger. Slowly she turned to increasingly lucrative but dangerous thefts. She grew tall and started to reach a more reasonable weight from gaining access to more food. The local homeless children no longer knew to tolerate her, but to stay well out of her way.

Her life was changed when she was accosted by a Sith Pureblood in the streets. Tek Sitas decided that there was a modicum of pure blood flowing through her veins, but not enough to spare much effort on her behalf. He had several underlings provide various aspects of her training. In his suburban mansion he would leave a window open on the top floor one night a week for her to study and sleep in the warm.

As she progressed Tek started to provide gifts, as well as challenges. His campaign to grow his power base in the city required a number of agents and she was used like every tool in his arsenal. He considered these as personal challenges for the young Nagai. As she advanced and survived she was given more attention and greater gifts. The greatest were a pair of curved Sith Swords. Forged by the Sith Master himself, she was told the imbuements would grow and manifest with her skill.

One final challenge and her master decided it was time to bring her within the folds of the wider Sith organisation.
