Independence Day (Royal House of Alderaan vs Mandalorian Clans of Alderaan)

UPPER LEVELS
HUMBARINE

On one of the many vessels that arrived daily to the busy ecumenopolis of Humbarine, Vitor had arrived to complete a task given to him by his master Lord Fa. Just given one point of contact and a goal, Avendahl had to spend some time on Humbarine. This was no easy quest, nor was it something that could be done in a day. Certainly not.

In the end, his mission was to topple the Humbars.

A large presidential suite in a boutique hotel was the meeting place between Akash Guul and Vitor Avendahl. As the young acolyte entered the suite with his aide June Ando following him right after, he felt his aide be slightly surprised at the sight of a Givin. The businessman could not understand for what reason nor did it mattered much at this moment of time.

"Mr. Avendahl. A pleasure." The host shook hands gently with Vitor and quickly went straight to the point. Givin were no people of small talk. "We have much, much work to do. Lord Fa has tasked us with a long, tiring and complicated mission."

"Nothing simple when it comes to wrestling control of a planet from a merchant family that has dug its claws deep into the core of the planet."

"Ah, but claws can be easily removed, Mr. Avendahl." Akash retorted softly. "It is but the festering wound that remains which we must worry more about."

"Sit. It is time to introduce you to the figures on the dejarik board." The Givin gestured for both of his guests to sit on the comfortable sofa as he turned on a holoprojection of literally a tangled network with faces and names in front of them.

It was an odd thing to have words pushed so clearly into her psyche. There was a rhythm to the words. She did not know if this was how they were intended or simply the way her mind interpreted them. Either way, it was clear the avian was a Force user and a capable one in close combat. A cybernetically enhanced killer tried to catch her out with a quick pair of jabs. A swing from the other arm turned a brick into dust. Neesa darted in, took the blaster from his belt and fired into his chest at point blank.

As the man fell away and went tumbling down to the alley, his eyes turned to regard the detonator she'd also taken. She turned and swung her arm, lobbing it back towards the mouth of the alley. The Broken Bones out on the street had rallied, but scattered again as the detonator bounced awkwardly and started flashing.

She landed silently back down on the alley floor and looked to Yan.

"I needed him alive," she stated flatly. He looked heavy.

[member="Neesa"]

Lord Fa prodded at Yan to see how he was faring.

Not even a groan in response, yet, the Sith could feel that there was life within him. Even if it was slumbering quite happily in the moment, but that was enough for him right now.

Would be quite difficult to get him out of here anyway, if he was flailing here and about the whole trip.

An explosion rocked the scene in the distance. He looked up and saw Neesa approach, there was strength in her tread, menace in the tension of her shoulders, clearly this one knew how to kill and knew it well. So she was here for this one, why would that be? Two Sith active at the same time, same place and same moment, for the same target as well.

Seemed too coincidental for his taste, but there wasn't much else to do.

"As do I." No time for his haikus and games. Not here and not now, not when in the distance the grumbling of men was ascending and groans of pain were receding. They would be coming soon and cautiously.

"We can fight over him later. Yes?"

Fa doubted he could fight her off, kill all those goons and keep this ball of muscle alive at the same time. But he didn't know this Sith, didn't know if she was stupid like the rest of them or had some brains.

Alderaan System - Unknown Ship - Arrival

Word had spread quickly, and the nearby world of Kuat had received notice of Alderaan's declaration of independence.

More and more of the core worlds, since the fall of the Republic, have been seeking alternatives; for many the influence of a foreign power--whether it be Mandalorians or the Galactic Alliance--proved unattractive. Bold systems with the capacity for industry, and defense fleets capable of holding their own were more and more willing to stand tall. Now it would appear Alderaan was next, a world with a legendary history. Dropping out of hyperspace, a small corvette activates its anti-detection systems as it drifts towards the edge of the system.

Full-spectrum distortion and dedicated energy receptor projectors did the job well enough. Absorbing sensor pings, blocking scanners, and disrupting transmissions that would normally tell you a starship was nearby. Only if anyone had been looking for these unusual blips would they notice the subtle anomaly. "Everything is operational, commander. Preparing long-range scanners and awaiting your mark." The chief technician sat amongst her subordinates in a computer trench. Here they handled the advanced prototype systems aboard the starship--a risky test run. Catalys stood tall from the command center, allowing him to overlook the bridge and coordinate crew operations.

"Mark," he commands.

The long-range scanners activate, and begin to sweep the system for defenses, countermeasures, and whatever traps might be hiding out there as well.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Draco Vereen"], [member="Faith Organa"],

"The hour grows late and so it comes to pass that Alderaan declares its independence to lay claim on galactic prosperity."

Voice would emanate nearby Draco and Faith before a pair of red glowing eyes materialized as if out of thing air,

"May it prosper longer and with more fruition than some of the other powers who flashed and burnt like a dying star in its last moment of glory before disappearing into the void of our Galaxy."

The rest of his chameleon cloak dropped as the droid phased into view, dropping the cloaking-cloak around his shoulders, allowing it to return back to its usual black fabric appearance as he pulled his hood off of his head. There was but one shattergun revolver and his training lightsaber on his belt, his body was covered in some sort of dark organic looking fleshy substance along with armored plates attached to it like chitin of a crab.

"Have you received word of any trouble yet? Chaos usually follows such declarations."

The machine had tendency of finding his way into places he shouldn't have entered, which was probably how he managed to find Draco and Faith among Alderaan's mountains and make a physical appearance. Thankfully, he was on their side after all the battles they fought together by then. Two battles at least that is.

Either way, while he didn't expected to face off a whole invasion of the planet, he just had the bare minimum with him in case something went down and he had to help out protect Faith, Draco, and their kids, who may have been pretty scared by the machine's sudden appearance and the way he looked although Draco and Faith should be used to it, and the Queen of Alderaan.

Should Draco try to reach out towards the droid with the Force he would find the metaphysical power field distorted and muffled about the droid, something on his was interfering with it, most likely the biot that covered the machine.

Nicolas was once again behind a desk rather than training or being a Jedi when news reached him.

"Chancellor, there is news from Alderaan." His secretary told him as she stepped into the room. She was rather short, but moved with a lithe grace that spoke of hours of training for herself. Nicolas was being careful not to have too many Jedi in his administration, but he was still prejudiced towards people who took care of themselves.

"What is the news?" Nicolas asked, setting down the report he had been reading. It was a projection report for the Republic economy. Now that they were settled, however unconventionally, they were able to begin trading again. Nicolas was making his administration one of the most relaxed in recent history, not that it was a difficult thing to do. This led to more being willing to trade with them, despite their small size and relatively poisoned name.

"Alderaan has seceded from the Mandalorian Clans. They are declaring themselves formally sovereign from any power."

Nicolas couldn't help but smile genuinely.

"That is good news. I should make an appearance there soon, show our support and reaffirm our desire for peaceful prosperity."

"There is something else..." She said, seemingly hesitant.

"Oh?" Nicolas said, having half risen to standing, then reluctantly letting himself sit back down.

"Doctor [member="rashae"] has gone to Alderaan. There was an...argument between her and an Admiral."

Nicolas couldn't help but laugh at that, he could imagine the Doctor putting an Admiral in his place for trying to stop her from returning to help her home planet.

"Find out the Admiral's name, we will deal with that issue when we return. Let's take the Azure Star" He said, standing and walking to the door. A pair of guards fell in behind him as he moved swiftly out of the room. His secretary strode behind him, short legs pumping vigorously to keep up as she made the arrangements. "Minimal escort, we aren't going to war." He knew that would upset the military, but he was still a Jedi, and could very well take care of himself.

"Oh I just need one tiny bit of information from him and he's all yours," Neesa retorted. The bird was dressed in rather regal attire for a street fight. She almost hoped he was some kind of nobility; it would make it more satisfying to kill him if it came to that.

Without turning to face the mobsters she snapped up her blade to deflect a bolt. Her left hand was free and made three quick, intricate gestures as she mumbled something under her breath. One of the Bones above them stopped shooting at them and turned his blaster on his colleagues at the mouth of the alley.

Neesa looked towards the wall at the end of the alley, then at the wall beside them. She brought her left arm around, palm facing outsides. A dull thud and the wall imploded away from them. She returned her attention to the gang members trying to take pot shots at them. The bird could do the carrying, she decided.

[member="Neesa"]

Even with blaster fire pinning them down, they were slowly approaching.

One of them got brave. The angle of the wall allowed him to move up, without being shot by his mind-controlled friend, but just as he was about to aim down and fire at them, Lord Fa acted. Lightning cackled between the talons of his wing and was unleashed towards the unlucky and frankly stupid mook.

Hit him straight in the chest. Muscle spasms, screams, cooked flesh, there wasn't anything pleasant about what he was currently experiencing.

The rest immediately took to cover and Fa grabbed hold of Yan. Thirriken's were much stronger than their size implied and Fa specialized in two things: Force lightning and strength enhancement. Strength filled him as he called upon the Force and put the Bones Leader over his shoulder.

Before following Neesa into the hole- there was darkness, before his eyes got used to the shadows. A warehouse by the looks of it, crates everywhere and stacked up high.

"I readied a safehouse here nearby." Fa got out, after managing to brush away the jacket trying to get into his face. "If we get ourselves there, we will be safe for the moment."

It was more than comfort to have Draco standing there with her he was the solid rock upon which she relied when things seemed out of balance. This was one of the moments she felt off balance. His hand on her shoulder gave her the assurance she needed she turned looking at him he would recognize her emotional battle with this. Once again standing alone in the galaxy.

"I agree we need to contact Camaas they are close to us and recognize the value of neutrality."

Ana ever present made notes, and also began to filter in the calls and messages as they came in. The Queen had made her intentions known and it was broadcast across Alderaan, surely a few feeds to news agencies as well. It was then that things would not begin to move a bit fast.

Faith contemplated the future as Draco addressed messages, Ana came over and showed her additional messages. "We seem to have caused a stir. Nearby planets that we had not heard from since before the Sith occupation are actively sending offers of help."

It was then that Dr. [member="Rashae"] Lovous walked in, "Dr. Lovous welcome back to Alderaan and thank you. Yes this day shall see the rise of Alderaan as it was in the past. We are all excited. Let us hope that there will not be casualties, your help and assistance are more than welcome." Faith looked at Draco for a moment then walked slowly towards the Doctor.

Just as red eyes, and the familiar mechanical voice of the Lord Protector, [member="HK-36"] filtered into the room. How did he do that! Faith was startled nonetheless she knew he would not bring harm to Alderaan even if his method was a bit unconventional.

She looked over, still to make sure it wasn't an assassin, the guards moved quickly to the spot where HK's image stood. She laughed nervously, "No so far there has not been any indication of reprisal. Thank you for asking." She relaxed for a moment, "If there is shall we send you word?" She had a very nice meeting with him on Abregado Rae and did not wish to offend him.

Draco messed with his datapad when the Doctor and Droid appeared in the room, not bothering to look up from the arrangements being made for the possible need for defensive measures. For the most part, Draco only focused on controlling his own body and detecting the subtle ripples in the Force rather than manipulating it within others. Feats of strength and speed were part of that internal specialty, along with energy absorption, with some training in siphoning off the Force from others and the manipulation of fire. Some subtle ripples caused by a vong biot were extremely difficult to notice as they were the absence of the Force rather than the disruption of it, but everything else caused ripples that could draw attention.

"I'm working on some messages. Lots of people are interested in what we are doing. Be good to let some of the neighbors know we aren't exactly militarizing the sector." He tapped a few keys on the datapad offering a smile in the direction of the Doctor. She seemed nice enough, though she kept calling him Prince Consort like he was some kind of fancy escort service for royalty, which was only partially true.

Faith had a good working relationship with the Droid, whereas Draco and HK-36 had fought together a few times while working alongside the Galactic Alliance, who would also be looking for a meeting or information on the new Coalition's intentions considering they were neighbors in the galactic term of the word.

Draco sent a message to the Knight-Commander in space who was overseeing the defense and patrol measures around the system. The monitoring ships and sensor patrols were second to none. Clan Rekali's interdictor stations were probably the only serious contenders for early warning systems to the Warden-class and Ulur'uur-class frigates which watched over Alderaan, however nothing was absolute.

Mostly the danger to infiltration was in smaller ships, sub-capital ships, certain stealth vessels had some potency in slipping through unnoticed. Defenses for a planet were, as expected, meant to protect the planet from threats that endangered it, not detect every rock for thirty light minutes with absolute precision. The three detector craft focused primarily on detecting hyperspace anomalies caused by combat vessels or groups of vessels that would endanger the relatively decent defense force. One corvette designed for passive sensor reduction or about a squadron of fighters would likely go without notice if done correctly, other vessels had the potential. Even small comprehensive stealth ships could bypass most things if they kept their wits, stayed out of close sensor range, and didn't hit anything.

Blips or ghost signatures might draw the attention of a patrol group of fighters to investigate, three Ra'grs and a Hecr Sentry fighter, but not a major effort. If the Hecr's Angel Eye suite found something at extremely close range, the Ra'grs could open up spreads of ion fire to disable or distort visual cloaks.

The main focus of Alderaan's defenses were based around identifying threats, and thus a listening post was being constructed on the outer most planetary body with some minor defenses and countermeasures. Based off ancient CIS design with new technology, the listening post could watch the stars around Alderaan for communications activity between vessels that usually occurred between vessels prior to an assault on a defended system such as Alderaan.

The second goal of identification would be customs, a few sets of large, unarmed, ring-shaped sensor stations that ships approaching Alderaan or Delaya would pass through allowing for full spectrum, penetrating scans of cargo vessels. Draco, having made use of A-Class bulk freighters full of Grutchin to sow havoc and discord prior to an assault, was well aware such strategies existed. While scans wouldn't be that precise, the hope was they might detect the high-grade explosives used in grenades on a 'passenger' vessel carrying assault teams, another tactic Draco had used to attack a planet before. With any luck, the implementation of the sensor stations would cause as little delays in traffic as possible so as not to seriously interrupt the daily life of the populace.

"Everything in space seems to be in order. The Knight-Commander is keeping me appraised of the situation as it develops though we are all hoping for a peaceful transition." Draco tapped on the datapad to pull up the data on the sensor stations, though he would likely have to wait before delving into them. "Did I mention you look breath-taking today ner runi, because you do. Everyday, more and more." Draco said softly, wrapping his arms around his Princess comfortingly. The big man knew there was a lot of changes happening and a lot of people were worried about the implications of this or that, or about how the future would go. It would do Faith good to remember that no matter what happened they would still have each other and their family.

"That way!" She heard a shout, saw some retreating back down the alley out of the corner of her eye.

"Where is the safehouse?" neesa called back as she darted into the building. The crates almost formed a series of passages through the warehouse. Without warning she turned and levelled her blaster at the avian sith. A fraction of a second of tension before she fired twice over his wings into a hamster that charged around the corner.

She turned and ran on, almost straight into a wall of fire. They'd moved their speeders down the road and found an angle to shoot from. Red and blue bolts filled the air. Heavy pistols and light repeaters.

Neesa glanced around, looking for something to use.

[member="Neesa"]

There was no worry in him.

Because they both knew that if she wanted to make the shot count, she should have done it immediately, instead of giving him the time to notice it.

So it was theatrics at worst and Lord Fa was the master of theatrics.

"One block to the north, we will need to cross three streets." In truth Tai had not been expecting this body count. The original team he could have handled rather easily, but the reinforcements? That was an issue, a big one. He didn't understand why they had arrived in the first place.

Didn't make any sense at all.

But then blaster fire rushed through their only path out of here. Those mooks were far too competent for Fa's taste- he couldn't glide and carry this weight on him at the same time.

So what were their options?

There. Big heavy crate, durasteel, but thick enough it could probably resist some of the fire for a while.

"Crate, right of you, we hold it up in the air against their angle of fire and run."

HUMBARINE

Vitor wasn't usually the man who would be directly in the action when things had to be done but this time it was different. He was the apprentice, he had chosen the path of servitude in return for power. After his recent survival on that primitive planet, Lord Fa had taught him a great lesson. The whole bloodbath there had taught him the strengths of the Force and how he had to sharpen his skills. That is why he had broken into the house of the chief deputy of Humbarine Police Force. Of course with the assistance of June who was quite capable of breaking into places to his surprise.

Akash Guul, Lord Fa's informant, had overwhelmed Vitor with information. The Givin was certainly an unbelievably great asset to Fa and Avendahl was certain that Lord Fa knew that. The spymaster had pierced through all the webs of lies and masks to gather a solid profile on every, as he said - 'piece on the dejarik board'.

Thus, now, Vitor sat on the comfortable cushion in the darkness of the living room of Deputy Chief Gav Hanassee awaiting the latter's arrival. It didn't take long for the alarm system to beep approvingly of the card that opened the entry door for Hanassee to enter. The lights turned on in the corridor as the police officer took off his coat and hat. Confidently, with a leather bag in his hand, he hurried towards the living room. The moment Gav stepped in through the threshold and the lights turned on to reveal Vitor Avendahl sitting on the cushion with a slight smirk. Startled, the police officer instinctively went for the holstered blaster pistol on his right hip. That is when June came into play. With a powerful kick she slammed the man's hand away and a follow up kick to the man's abdomen took his breath out. Taking quick two steps forward, June took out the blaster pistol herself. When the man went down and tried reaching for something at his ankle, June stomped on his hand and like a cat pounced at his ankle taking out a hidden hold out blaster.

Vitor sat there bewildered at the learning experience that unfolded before him. When June had told him she was capable of some martial arts, he did not expect this. It was as if she had done this millions of time. Moreover, knowing for the man to have a hold out blaster was what surprised him the most. Avendahl certainly did not know that. Not even Guul who even knew the favorite colors and meals of the 'dejarik figures'.

"Mr. Hanassee. Let's use words before you end up hurting yourself too much." Avendahl stated, confidence in his voice. He continued without letting the police officer say something. "I've been told you've never been appreciated much at work. For years."

"In fact, I know that you certainly deserved to be the next Head Chief of Humbarine Police Force."

"How-" Hanassee began but Vitor motioned his hand to shut him up.

"That does not matter. What matters is - that we want you to be appreciated." The young acolyte explained and then let the police officer speak. The living room was engulfed in silence as Hanassee contemplated in his head. Eventually, he gave an answer that satisfied all.

"I'd love to see that."

[member="Tai Fa"]

Neesa looked towards the crate he was suggesting. Looked like it would take a reasonable amount of the small arms fire the gang members were putting out. A heavy rifle would likely have made short work of it, but she hadn't seen one yet. Her hand came up, but not towards the crate. The glass windows all shattered outwards towards the gang, showering them in shards.

That bought them a moment. She didn't feel like taking the strain of its entire weight whilst also keeping an eye for any of them trying to find a better angle. She beckoned it with her hand and it slid across the ground towards them, screeching in protest for every metre. She darted behind it as it slammed into the wall of crates she had been taking cover behind. Even though she walked beside the crates, as she advanced she was bent over to nearly forty five degrees as if facing a storm. Her features were set in determination as she shoved the heavy mass alongside them. There was clearly something quite heavy inside the damned thing as well. She heard the thumps and pings as bolts hit the other side.

Doctor Rashae's smile softened into a more genuine one for the Princess's words. The Prince Consort even offered a smile. “Her highness and His lordship are too kind. I angered an Admiral in coming here. “ She rolled her eyes slightly. “Insufferable as he is I could do naught else but be here for my birth home. “

Rashae used the title Prince Consort as that was his title. More importantly, the man hadn't given her leave to call him anything else. The Doctor remained mostly formal. The Captain piped in to advise the Azure Star was in route from her com. She looked down on it. “Oh good. Chancellor Thorne I believe is on his way as well. “

The raven haired doctor grew to like that Master Jedi. The man was as calm as stone even though the Admiral thought she was a logistical nightmare. Actually she was indeed a logistical nightmare as she was going to get done what she saw needed to get done. Damn the protocols or military significance or whatever someone wanted to put in her way. John knew that better than anyone. Rashae had a rather razor sharp focus at times and that laser of a focus would pierce through any problem.

The formalities dealt with, Rashae relaxed a moment. That was until the image shimmered near her and the Princess as the young doctor jumped about the same time as the Princess. She jumped towards John and into his chest as she looked at the red eyed droid. Her hand went lightly to her chest as it beat rapidly. As the princess addressed the invader, apparently he was a known quantity. It took her a minute or two to regain her composure as she straightened herself up. Her expression turned icy towards the shimmering image. The doctor didn't know him and she didn't like being surprised like that. The Head of Medical and Research would be professional as she inclined her head towards the shimmering image as the Princess addressed his words.

Ironically enough, HK jumped slightly when Rashae did, sounding out,

"Whoa, where did she came from?"

His hands disappeared underneath his black cloak, its material would stop shimmering as it settled into its dark material, he knew he had nothing to fear of from the Alderaanians, but just in case the guards would do something hasty his hands were ready to contort themselves in forms of hand ciphers beneath the concealing cloth and cast gravitational anomalies to stop the guards' weapons before they would hit him. Either way, that was unnecessary as Faith spoke, HK nodded,

"Yes, I did not brought an army with me, but my domain is close enough, besides, I faced all of the factions in this section who would stoop to feasting upon newly formed peaceful powers before, none possess an army that would prove challenge to me even if I was to face them alone. Should anyone attack, you know my commlink frequency, I will come to face them personally."

The machine quipped, he probably got into the palace along with Rashae, just sneaking in behind her, having access to stealth technology that would allow him to avoid detection by scanners or other machines. The organic layer covering his face would recede, the biot crawling back to disappear underneath the confines of his black cloak, revealing his pale silver Phrik faceplate like polished bone,

"Did I mention you look breath-taking today ner runi, because you do. Everyday, more and more."

"Thank you, Draco, I know, I am amazing."

HK responded just assuming the words were directed towards him because of course he would assume that, moving over towards a nearby window to look out of it, if there was one in the current room that is.

"But for once I did not arrive here to merely discuss how breathtaking I am. Word has reached me that the Kiliks in Castle Lands are still somewhat hostile to the point they may wage open conflict should they gather enough soldiers."

Looking out of the window he moved the topic of the hive-minded insectoids still holding their spires,

"I came here to speak with them and broker an agreement that could benefit the new Alderaan, Kiliks, and myself."

[member="Neesa"]

Luckily enough Lord Fa was smaller than Neesa by a few heads, so he didn't have to crouch down.

He did try his best to shelter Yun with his body, though. It would be quite annoying if a stray blaster bolt would catch him in the head and make this entire ordeal worthless. Part of his body was glowing faintly, he wasn't good at projecting shields - otherwise he would have simply done that instead of proposing the crate, but he could protect himself to a degree.

A few moments later the Thirriken saw the side-door that led outside.

They would only have a moment, before the thugs wised up to their plans and would cut off their escape path.

"We need to move now." Fa finally said, when they halted. "Together; we push that crate right through the wall and into their speeder and hope it buys us the time we need to get out."

If she agreed, he'd start gathering up his strength, before wrapping it around the heavy crate. From there, if everything went according to plan they could retreat through the side-entrance. Then head north and hope the streets weren't filled with more Bones coming to reinforce this position.

John Ash

Only by Fire do we become Ash.
John did as he was expected to during everything that was going on. He just kept his mouth shut and followed [member="Rashae"] wherever she went. He was with her after she got confirmation to land. He was with her when she had arrived on planet and was directed towards the Princess, [member="Faith Organa"] , and her husband ,[member="Draco Vereen"] . He was there with her when she greeted the both of them and offered her support of the system's declaration of independence. He was there the whole time silent and vigil. It was not his job to make pleasantries or any of that other political mess that was going on here. No his only task and care was making sure that the young doctor didn't get herself into any trouble or let any trouble find her.

So it was during all of this that [member="HK-36"] suddenly popped up in the room, surprising everyone. John's free hand dropped down to his pistol and gripped its handle as he wrapped his other one around Rashae when she came flying into his chest. He drew and had it pointed square at the things head as he attempted to shield his charge as much as possible with his own body. But he didn't pull the trigger. This droid was not a hostile, even if made a poor choice in when to make a spectacular appearance. From the words used and the reactions of the royal couple it was clear the droid was no threat to the gathered crowd. He holstered his pistol and relaxed himself.

John looked to Rashae and said in a low voice so only she could hear him, " How you holding up? Do I need to find you a drink?" He just waited for her response as he began to watch the room more closely. There was always some kind of trouble at these sort of events, and he wasn't going to risk his woman's life over petty political struggles.

"Doctor I may have a post for you here to serve Alderaan you and I should talk about it." Faith was willing to give an office to someone who showed such devotion to Alderaan.

Peaceful transition Draco had said, that would be most excellent. She was however looking at [member="HK-36"] she could not help but laugh at his humor. For a machine he had quite the grasp of what it would take to make someone laugh. Ah but then the purpose came through one thing she had most definitely learned from her speaking with him, he saw opportunity and looked to make the best of it. Within the circle of his arms all things were possible, however brief she slipped away from him to talk with HK.

"The killiks you wish to barter with them. What is it you wish to offer them that would benefit Alderaan, yourself, and them?" She wondered if he were to once again try to put a factory on Alderaan. She knew he wanted phrik for a project he had told her so. He had to already know that she wouldn't give him a pass to go and act on her behalf without knowing what it was he planned to do. She smiled.

The good Doctor seemed quite upset she tried to keep hold of things in the room noticing that [member="Rashae"] had jumped at the same time she had. Except now the doctor had a protector, or a Knight Errant perhaps. They were hard to come by Knight Errants.

The Doctor was being protected by [member="John Ash"] . She thought but yet brought her focus back to HK as he moved about. She looked to [member="Draco Vereen"] for a moment knowing he was listening to messages coming in she needed his attention redirected for the moment.

Location: Mandalore
Headquarters of MandalMedical

Rianna listened to Arianna as she declared the independence of Alderaan. She couldn't blame them not really, her eyes were drawn outside to the devastation that was now Mandalore. They were distributing everything they had to those that survived. But how long could they keep up.

She had spoken to [member="Ordo"] and they decided that it was best to serve Mandalore by moving MandalMedical and MandalTech off Mandalore to a place where they could continue production and send supplies back to those who would not leave or could not leave.

It was a difficult decision. It medical teams were already stretched to the thinnest possible intern. They'd have to rotate teams around the hospital. The hospital had sustained damage all the heating, cooling units were offline. They were doing things manually. It had brought a bitter reminder to them of just how far they had come in technology to save lives. They watched helplessly as some of their patients died.

Each one hurt, drawing away any strength that Rianna had. "Very well, prepare to evacuate who we can. We will take the frigates, and the life support ships, anything that will carry them. We will go to Alderaan. Take care of our patients and decide later what to do.

Rianna sent word ahead to Faith and to Draco that they were coming. Prepare the refugee center. Rianna would have gone to Alpha Mae but she knew that many of the clans had family on Alderaan she did not wish to separate them.
