  • Extremely Modular: The pods are designed with flexibility in mind from the design phase onwards making them perfect for the role intended by whichever commander required them.
  • Independent use: With a small but powerful power supply and enough storage built in to every model for a fortnights consumables, the mission pods are fully capable of being deployed on site and left to operate alone and recovered later.
  • Robust: The items are well made from quailty materials and as part of the Imeprial army, very well maintained so are likely to survive most non-military hazards such as extreme weather and even earthquakes.

  • Predetermined size: The mission pods are built to a standard size to allow them to be interchanged easily, this is sometimes limiting for larger purposes.
  • Time to prepare: As modular as they are, they must be prepared prior to the mission and are difficult to repurpose once underway
  • No defenses: Other than the durable metal outer metal shells, and their stealth polymer coatings, these mission pods have no defences to speak of, leaving them vulnerable in hazardous environments.
  • Immobile: The mission pods cannot move under their own power once deployed so their position should be selected carefully.

These flexible mission pods were designed to work in conjunction with the newly Carrack Class Science Vessel but we're also planned to be used by other vehicles that may be added to the Imperial ranks. They massively increase the flexibility of any vessel they are equipped to.

The pods, as an added flexibility measure can be joined together via their side access ports making a single large space that can be accessed whilst either attached to the ship or when deployed.
