          • Dual-stage pressure regulator integrated into the helmet, directly feeding into the full-head helmet seal. Adjusts positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) in real-time based on G-force readings. Actively assists exhalation via a release valve to prevent breath stacking.
        • Pressure Relief Valves
          • Prevents sinus/ear barotrauma by equalizing internal suit pressure during rapid altitude changes and by automatically bleeding excess pressure.
        • Dynamic Pressure Tuning
          • Positive end-expiratory pressure automatically scales with real-time G-force readings. May be displayed on the HUD for wearer monitoring.
        • G-Sensitive Activation Triggers
          • Foot-pedal pressure sensors and onboard accelerometers dynamically engage the system only during high-G events.
      • G-Force Countermeasure Pressor Field System
        • Applies pressure to the wearer’s limbs and abdomen, thereby stemming the drainage of blood away from the brain to prevent the vascular pooling of blood during periods of high G-force.
        • The pressor fields can also apply pressure to the chest during positive pressure breathing, preventing lung damage by over inflation.
        • Pressor fields activate, deactivate, and modulate in response to feedback from the medisensor in the BioMedical Support System and from g-force readings.
    • Self-Repair System - Programmable Matter
    • GPO-12 "Ironmaze" Threat-Prevention Suite
    • Magnetic Equipment Attachment Strips
    • Self-Softening Thermal Gel
      • All thermal gel in the uniform is contained within a network of microcapsules and circulation channels embedded throughout the armor. Following an impact, integrated heating elements and catalytic regulators returned the hardened gel to its pliable state, allowing it to redistribute itself and restore its shock-absorbing properties. This regeneration cycle occurs automatically and immediately, unless deactivated.
  • Helmet
    • FAE/S-14 Headgear System Suite
      • Panoramic Optics
        • Helmet suite has panoramic optics that provide a 180-degree (or greater) field of view projected internally, allowing the wearer to see behind and to the sides by simply moving their eyes.
    • Integrated Rebreather - Via FAE/C-03 BioMedical Support System
    • Neural Stabilizer Functionality
    • Integrated Pipestraw
      • Connects to the liquid storage cell for drinking.
    • Liquid Storage Cell - 30 Liter Liquid Capacity
      • Liquid compressed and shrunken within a molecular disruptor mirror cell.
      • Can be siphoned from or refilled via a port.
    • Dynamic Locking Neck Brace
      • Predictive Sensor Fusion
        • The neck brace houses its own micro-gyroscopes and draws sensor data from the suit’s accelerometer and G-force sensor. The neck can be networked with the bike's flight computer and sensors. It constantly monitors for sudden, violent changes in velocity or orientation. This includes rapid deceleration (crashes), sharp lateral G-forces (evasive whips), or violent pitch changes (terrain avoidance). The moment these thresholds are exceeded, the system triggers.
      • Magneto-Rheological (MR) Fluid Locking
        • The brace contains a series of flexible, segmented chambers filled with MR fluid, which turns semi-solid in milliseconds when exposed to a magnetic field. During normal riding, the fluid remains liquid, allowing free head rotation. The instant a crash or high-G maneuver is detected, an electromagnetic coil in the brace fires, solidifying the fluid and locking the segments into a rigid, unibody cervical restraint.
        • The moment the magnetic field is switched off, the iron particles immediately randomize, and the fluid returns to its original liquid state. The collar unlocks, and the pilot can move her head freely again.
      • Directional Intelligence
        • The system can lock selectively. For example, during a high-speed banked turn, it might stiffen laterally (left/right) to prevent whiplash while still allowing the wearer to tilt their head up/down to track a target. In a forward collision, it locks entirely in all axes.
  • Lower Body
    • FAE/A-14 Energized Foot Gear - Boots
      • Jetboot thrusters removed.
    • Tactile Feedback Padding
      • Legs and inner thighs have reinforced, non-slip grips to help the rider clamp onto a bike's chassis during aggressive maneuvers, keeping her low on the vehicle to reduce drag.
  • Utility
STRENGTHS
  • G-Monster: The suit is engineered to keep the pilot conscious and physically intact during a speeder or swoop bike’s most extreme maneuvers. The combination of the pressor field system (which stems blood pooling) and the positive-pressure breathing system (which keeps lungs inflated) works in perfect sync with the dynamic locking neck brace. This triumvirate of systems allows the pilot to outride enemies without blacking out, allowing them to safely push most repulsorbikes to their limits.
  • Mind and Body Augmentation: The energized and reactive polymer Underlay provides 2.5x total body strength augmentation, allowing the pilot to wrestle a repulsorbike's handlebars, absorb violent jolts, and even fight on foot with ultra-enhanced power. The movement precision assistance enhances motor control, allowing for delicate throttle and targeting adjustments. Finally, the integrated Ghost Link significantly enhances reaction time, mental processing capability, and awareness. This mental enhancement comes from the suit itself, which heightens and accelerates the user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power of the onboard computer. The Ghost Link also allows the wearer to control virtually all functions and attached subsystems via mental command.
  • Low Profile: The suit has a diminished observation profile owing to its camouflage and polymer coatings. Both of these systems lower the suit’s overall signature, but they do not offer true stealth capability or invisibility. Instead, they serve to make the suit and its wearer more difficult to distinguish from the surrounding environment and harder to detect.
  • Kinetic Protection: The suit excels at its primary job of protecting against crash impacts, debris strikes, and shrapnel. The layered defenses in conformal particle shielding, betaplast plating, and thermal gel that self-heals after impact, create a shell that absorbs and disperses energy with excellent efficacy.
  • Mentalism Resistance: Frequent uses of mentalism in modern engagements has compelled First United Astral Engineering to integrate stabilizer masks into their designs. The Imperial Combat Rider Suit is no exception in this regard. As such, the suit is resistant to mental attacks, thereby shielding the wearer’s mind.
WEAKNESSES
  • Tensor: In firing compressed tractor beam waves, tensor weapons can bypass most of the suit’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause severe injury.
  • Severed: Unfortunately, the suit offers little protection against lightsabers. A glancing blow from a lightsaber’s blade will cut straight through the Betaplast plating, thermal gel, and armorweave as if they were cloth. This is a critical vulnerability for Imperial riders, as Force-sensitive enemies are extremely common in the modern Chaos era. The suit is purely designed for conventional warfare.
  • Deep Freeze: While the Imperial Combat Rider Suit is rated to protect the wearer from all environments (including arctic planets the likes of Hoth and Ilum), it unfortunately does not grade well in terms of defense against cold-based weaponry. That is to say that the biting, freezing power of cryogenic weapon systems is far more penetrating than that presented by cold environments. Thus, the wearer must rely on other means of protection should she come to face these weapons.
DESCRIPTION
The Imperial Combat Rider Suit is a heavily modernized variant of the standard Imperial Combat Driver uniform. Designed by First United Astral Engineering, the company was awarded a contract by the Imperial Confederation to design a suit built for specialized Imperial speeder bike pilots after the success of the Imperial Gunnery Suit. However, with the Confederation’s sudden collapse, the suit’s development was significantly delayed until buyers could be found who were willing to continue the contract. First United Astral Engineering found these buyers in the Final Dawn, Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, Bastion Imperial Remnant, and various other Imperial remnant groups.

A modernization of the company’s older FAE/A-03 Repulsor Craft Riding Suit, the Imperial Combat Rider Suit is a narrow-focused platform intended for combat-specialized speeder bike pilots. Thus, the suit focuses on protecting against common hazards faced by these individuals. Particle shielding protects the rider’s body during slides, a G-force countermeasure system protects against G-LOC, while the positive-pressure breathing system allows the rider to continue breathing under heavy G-load. A neck brace provides protection to the cervical spine, preventing the head from whipping violently during a crash or sudden maneuver.

The Imperial Combat Rider Suit also contains various utility and enhancement features in the Symbiotic Ghost Link, the survival and sustainment kit, integrated life support, and yet more.

In all, the Imperial Combat Rider Suit is expected to provide Imperial speeder bike pilots with virtually unmatched protection and utility. Even with the collapse of the Confederation, Imperial riders are given the tools to outride their foes, staying alert, active, and lethal where other riders may have long since fallen off of their bikes!
