There was a lot of maintenance going on to help improve the site and alleviate issues with people's accounts. A lot of people were getting the WSOD, or "White Screen Of Death" upon trying to view the forum home page.
I believe this has been alleviated, and I believe the culprit to be the shoutbox. I'm prepping the forum for some maintenance this weekend to be done, this may not be the last you see of the shoutbox, for all of you shoutbox lovers.
But there's something we all need to understand. This software we utilize, it is quickly degrading. We're nearly 3 years old and we're already starting to see malware attacks, security vulnerabilities and some of our beloved mods waste away due to the authors not updating the framework. This isn't a professionally ran community. I do all the maintenance and run the server myself. There is no support for me to run to. This is purely a fan's creation and hobby, and there's only so much we can do with our limited knowledge.
So along the way, some sacrifices may need to be made to ensure the community continues on. Right now, the Shoutbox is the first sacrifice and comes in the wake of a war against an ever aggressive string of malware attacks.
I only ask for your patience and understanding, and I ask all members to please not report bugs in response to this thread - please post them in the Site Feedback forum.
