    • Full Neurocrown Integration
    • Standard Docking Ports
    • Standard Escape Pods
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • The Hellstorm-class carries a small number of advanced systems, including a SLAM Drive to facilitate rapid repositioning, an ECM/Jammer suite to among other things render targeting locks more difficult, and a Subdrive for even more rapid in-system repositioning.
STRENGTHS
  • Hellstorm: When used right, the flying arsenal that is the Hellstorm can rip through fighter formations and threaten even large capital ships.
WEAKNESSES
  • Empty Magazines: Hellstorms are reliant on effective commanders and frequent resupplies to function as intended; the Assault Concussion Missiles in particular, while terribly potent, are limited to a single projectile per silo for a grand total of ten. Wastefulness is not advised.
  • Overspecialised: Hellstorms are entirely reliant on their missiles; the only laser/blaster weapon aboard is the crew's service pistols.
DESCRIPTION
Envisioned as the counterpoint of the Tramp-class Support Carrier in Globex's lineup of hyperspecialised yet relatively small capital ships, the aptly named Hellstorm is able to bring to bear a terrifying quantity of missile weapons through a rigorous dedication to compactness - nothing is included without good reason in its design, a design infamous for its cramped hallways and thoroughly lacking recreational facilities.

Naturally, more heavily-automated versions tend to make more pleasant postings - unless struck by ion weapons, that is.

A cursory examination of the schematics might lead one to the conclusion that its defences are quite average for a vessel of its size and type, but given the sheer quantity of explosives it carries most commanders wisely treat it like a glass cannon ready to blow if poked too hard.
