Hazmat Run [Republic Dominion of Drongar]

The Jedi Antares Windu's communications array came online after a few more minutes of having his ship be an escort for the transports. There were other ships joining up with them, that much he knew just from looking at his always active sensors, though he didn't say anything -- right away.

Instead, he made sure he brought his ship from the side of the transports more to the front, via moving the joystick. Simultaneously, with one hand, he turned on the communications array and said, "I believe it's time to land upon the planet now?" He inquired over the communications array. "Make sure your Hazmat suits are on." He added in quickly. Better if people didn't die upon the planet. Especially without taking precautions.

Objective: Clear the system of any hostiles

"This is Radio Control to Padawan Hallu. Permission to Depart" The smoky voice answered over the communication link from the bridge of the vessel. Hasjo flicked the switch, the propulsion drives craned downward and began to levitate the star fighter off the ground. The engines roared as blue flame exploded forth from the rear. "R9, activate deflector shields. I want maximum speed. We're going to do a quick patrol of the local space" Hasjo asked of his astromech droid who merrily tweeted and whistled in answer. The holographic dashboard showed signs that the deflector shields had been activated. Hasjo thumbed a button and the propulsion drives levelled. The starfighter suddenly shot out of the hangar bar of the Elemental. He gripped the joysticks tight and began to perform a systems check. "R9, accelerate us to the maximum safe speed, slowly." The star fighter began to pick up velocity. "1.1 knots" Hasjo said, glancing down to the speed odometer. "2.8. . . 3.6 . . 5.9. . 8.4. . 9.7. . 11.2 knots. Level us out at 11.5 knots." The star fighter was travelling at 11,500 kilometres an hour. It was incredibly fast and only could achieve such a speed with deflector shields, otherwise it would only reach a maximum of 1,150 km/h. A voice buzzed over the radio "I believe it's time to land upon the planet now?" Windu inquired over the communications array. "Make sure your Hazmat suits are on."
"This is Padawan Hallu to Knight Windu. Suggest sweep of local space. We've got plenty of troops on the ground from my understanding. Space is infinitely large, and infinitely dark. Plenty more area for people to be hiding. we don't want pirates creeping up on us." Hasjo asked over the comm link, once he had finished his due he flicked over the open mic. "R9, activate scanners for maximum range. Drain some power from the fuel if you need to. Do not go below the 85% mark." R9 responded with a flurry of whistles.

Antares groaned when the Padawan didn't listen. "Prepare for landing Padawan Hallu." He said sharply. It was a tone that should brook no arguments, there was no time for any arguments anyway. The Padwan was just being a bother. "The cruisers sensors had further distance than yours Padawan. Land. On. The. Planet." He said and then there was a clicking sound and his communications array was off. The rest of the transports had already entered the atmosphere, though Windu was rotating his ship around to go after @[member="Hasjo Hallu"]. He would bring him down to the planet if he had to.

"Prepare for landing Padawan Hallu. The cruisers sensors had further distance than yours Padawan. Land. On. The. Planet."
Hasjo faltered. R9 twisted his sensory eye around to look to the Nautolan curiously. Hasjo wasn't one to refuse orders, but he had a gut feeling this Knight was making a rather ignorant mistake. He pulled hard on the controls and U-turned the vessel, shooting towards the planet with increasing speed. Resuming the speed of 11,500 kilometres an hour. He flicked the communication link on again "With all due respect, Knight Windu, one of our orders was to clear the system of hostiles. Even cruisers sensors can't always pick up star fighters or freighters." but there came only radio silence from the other end. Windu must have turned off his communication array. Hasjo frowned with the muscles above his eyes, for he lacked eyebrows. The Jedi Knight lacked a particular sense of patience. Hasjo had prepared for a flight mission, not a planetary one. He would have to return to the Elemental, retrieve a hazmat suit, gear up, return to his craft and head for the planet.

The Jedi Knight only checked his scanners to make sure that the Padawan was heading in the direction of the planet. When he noted he was turning in the complete other direction, he simply followed, until he realized he was heading towards the Elemental. But even then, he still followed to make sure the Padawan landed upon the ship rather than make the show of it and go back around to open space.

Land faster.

He thought to himself while he tracked the Nautolan Padawan. It wouldn't hurt to be sure. Antares's communications array was on again and he heard his astromech beeping and just making annoying sounds. He saw on the side panel the text from the corner of his eye rolling up, though he didn't pay it any heed. In the end it was always important. "One starfighter coming in for landing." He said on the frequency that he opened up to the Elemental, and the hangar bay opened, it was only a matter of time for the Padawan to land.

@[member="Hasjo Hallu"]

"R9, slow approach. Autopilot for landing vectors" Hasjo commanded. The frigates hangar doors slowly slid open and the star fighter took a gradual decrease in speed. It slid through the energy field and into the bay. The astrochmech spun around, tweeting and whistling as he followed orders. The droid was now piloting the ship. Hasjo reached over his shoulders, unbuckling the X-shaped harness across his chest. As the propulsion drives reduced to a quiet whine, the transparent glass hatch opened. Hasjo climbed out, just as the landing gears made contact with the metallic surface. "Wait here, R9" he said, R9-LH sat in his small pod, waiting patiently. Hasjo lept down onto the floor with a thud of leather against metal.

@[member="Antares Windu"]

Antares Windu wasted no time. His own ship had entered through the energy field moments after @[member="Hasjo Hallu"]'s, and so he wasted no time in already deploying his landing gear, and when the cockpit opened up before the ship had even properly stabilized, Antares's landed awkwardly upon the hangar bay's ground. No doubt making himself look more the fool than he usually did. And his only response to such a thing was a grunt and groan, at his silly performance.

Once he had steadied himself upon the floor and he saw the Jedi Padawan moving across the hangar he moved to his ship with as cool a stride as he could so that he may wait for the Padawan before he got into a Hazmat suit, and then into his ship. He didn't want to chase down the Padawan, especially if he was already impeded by this ridiculous suit. Though it did have it's uses when Antares's hand went over the wrist pad and activated the speakers so that he may speak to those outside of the suit. It would only be a few minutes until he would discuss plans with the Padawan.

Hasjo walked down corridors and hallways, winding his way through the darkened bowels of the Elemental. Finally coming upon barracks, the door sensors detected his presence and slid open. He walked into the room and found himself before a locker. He flung the door open and rummaged through it, pulling out the yellow-tinted hazmat suit. He took no delay in putting it on. He placed his legs in and began to zip himself up. It was a very tight fit. Uncomfortably tight. He reached over for the helmet and fitted it on. Connecting the pieces to prevent any openings for gases to enter. A mask located beneath the chin would filter the air. He breathed deep and moved back towards the hangar.

Hasjo strode with purpose. He was disgruntled that the Knight had chosen to disregard previous orders and set him new ones. But he was in no position to oppose an order from a Knight. He was much more comfortable in the seat of a Starfighter than on solid ground collecting samples. It was like comparing whether he would prefer being below or above water. The answer was obvious; below. Nautolan were natively amphibious. He re-entered the hangar to see Windu was standing beside his Delta-7 starfighter. He nodded in his direction "Knight Windu"

The Jedi Knight remained silent for a few moments. While he had been waiting for the Padawan he had examined his starfighter. It was a ship that the Padawan had taken good care of. And then the voice of the Nautolan had been ringing in his ears and he turned around to look at the Padawan. "Padawan Hallu." He replied in greeting.

"We will land upon the planet. The surrounding space has already been cleared. I don't know what you've been doing, but whatever you were doing, I hope it was important while we had already cleared the system." The Jedi Knight said in a plain voice. It was quite easy for him to void out entirely the condescending tone of voice that he would have used if he was still a Padawan. The first Jedi he remembered snapping on was Reela Witko, though he didn't say her name aloud, he still shook his head at the thought of her. Were all Nautolans aggravating? And he mentally came to the conclusion that he the answer was indeed positive. Or perhaps, was he the aggravating one?

"I apologize for my rudeness, Padawan @[member="Hasjo Hallu"]." He continued on. "Though the transports will still need escorts. If you do not wish to touch ground personally, say so. You can provide a bird's eye in your starfighter within atmosphere." He turned away and started heading to his own ship. "After all," he added, thrown over his shoulder, "technology sometimes triumphs over the Force." Antares didn't believe it, and he never would. He was only trying to make amends with whatever relation he had with the Padawan.

"We will land upon the planet. The surrounding space has already been cleared. I don't know what you've been doing, but whatever you were doing, I hope it was important while we had already cleared the system."
Hasjo interjected "The system is vast"

"I will be of better service in a cockpit, then in a suit" Hasjo commented. Taking the offer of escort personnel. He marched to his vessel and reached both his hands up high. His fingers grappled with the corner of the aircraft and he raised himself up. Throwing his knees over the ledge, he stood himself up on the front of the ship. He marched over to the hatch and slid into his leather seat, R9-LH beeping at him. "Yeah, I know R9" Hasjo said. The hatch came over his head and secured itself. "Take us out of here, formulate an approach vector on the planet. Give us an altitude of 3000 meters and keep at a steady pace of 200 kilometres an hour. We're going to be the eyes in the skies" he said as he bucked his harness over his chest. The starfighter began to raise off the ground, shooting out of the hanger. He reached forward, targeting a series of transport ships "Keep a close distance of 500 meters on those vessels until they make touch-down, R9."

The Jedi Knight Antares Windu leapt onto the ledge of his starship. His gaze flickered across the hangar in quiet contemplation. Simultaneously, the hatch to his starfighter opened, and he slid into the seat with a practiced grace. All the while thinking of how he used to spend plenty of time in a cockpit. Mostly as a Padawan when the Republic had wanted to extend it's borders and there were Dominions all the time.

@[member="Hasjo Hallu"] was not the only one who wanted to spend as little time on the planet. Helping to escort transports was in no way entertaining or something a man bred for action could enjoy. So he went through the pre-flight check and opened up his communications array. In a few minutes his ship was lifting off the ground.

Expedition to retrieve any lost Sith Artifacts

Meanwhile, A’dele’s small team went wandering further away from the ship. Holding a small scanner in her gloved hands, the young Zabrak female lead the expedition north east. Thick brush of jungle hindered their exploration, but the gentle push back of another Jedi Knight who was adept with plant surge allowed an ease of passage way without harming the environment.

Soon, their exploration bore fruit, as they stumbled upon what appeared to be ruins of an old Sith Temple. Considering the amount of natural flora trimmed back from the stone building, it would appear that it had been recently occupied.

Advising caution, A’dele led the bio-hazard equipt team inside for a closer look.

"Sending a case in to you now, Master Sheltrak..." the auburn haired Padawan replied, clicking her comm over to reply before she had a chance to say anything to Kira and Talon. "...infected plants, clippings and whole plants with roots intact. Soil and water samples as well, in the hopes that there might be answers there as well to be found."

Mara switched the comm back tot he frequency the ground team was using. She cast her golden gaze at Talon and arched a brow, gently shaking her head in spite of the smile that curled her lips. The smile blossomed into a grin as she winked back at Kira.

"I think that's a brilliant idea, Kira...go for it, Talon...show us how it's done."

@[member="Erinyes Draclau"] @[member="Marakai Al'Orren"]

Leori perked up when Mara replied to her inquiry, and was sending a case of samples for them to get started on. There were a range of samples for them to test for starters. "My Thanks to you and your team. My team and I will start immediately."

She looked to Erinyes "Looks like we finally have some work to do."

The Jedi hadn't heard anything from @[member="Sarge Potteiger"] for a while. Quite a long while in fact. Antares had been able to circle around from atmosphere, re-enter the Cruiser, speak to @[member="Hasjo Hallu"], get back into his ship, and then back out into space. Meanwhile, the one who had been leading this Dominion hadn't been heard from at all.

"Master Preacher." He inquired over the communications array, once his fingers flew over his on pad and his astromech droid patched him through on the Jedi Communications Line. "Have you landed upon the planet, or are you still in orbit?" He continued and finished shortly. And then the droid put out a sensor scan over the system attempting to locate the Jedi.

There was a long, long pause before a snort could be heard. "Sorry, fell asleep at the wheel." Yup, he'd been floating dead in space, out like a light.

He blamed Mara for keeping him up. "Whataya want, @[member="Antares Windu"]?"

Antares's head rotated upon his neck and looked to the text that his astromech provided on the screen. It said quite a few things, a few things that he was reading while @[member="Sarge Potteiger"] spoke through the communications array. "So you are alive." He stated as if they hadn't spoken in for what was a long time. Which, was kind of true. "Shall we scan the space? Or land upon the planet?"

Antares didn't even reply. He figured his ship putting more power into it's thrusters must have been an answer enough when he started to turn away from the planet slightly and boost the scanners a bit. More or less to get an idea to what he was heading to. "How did you get the name Preacher?"

@[member="Sarge Potteiger"]

There was a few moments as he idled the engines, the astromech whirring annoyingly in its socket, clearly unhappy with the fact that they'd been idling in space for the past Force knew how long. Scratching at the side of his helmet, he shrugged towards no one in particular, letting the fighters scanners reach towards the edges of the system.

With the fleet here, they'd be fine, but still. Gave him something to do.

"Ah, ya wouldn't get it. Most people don't even know what a Preacher is anyway." Religion was pretty much gone, actually, and he'd not come across a single word for 'Preacher' in any languages yet. Aside from Basic, of course, but he was fairly certain that most people had never heard of it.

"A preacher was a religious fellah, used to go up and proclaim religious script to other folk. They were like religious guides of sort, offering advice on life and providing guidance when it was needed. They were, by nature, real good public speakers. Needless to say, I guess it fit. Just one of many names I've been called in me life."
