SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Carrying over the design feature from the Sparrow, HAWK Drones are lightweight enough and collapse into a disc small enough for a soldier to carry into combat on a backplate of their armor. This is especially true for armor systems designed by Vulcan Industries, a subsidiary of Aurora.
STRENGTHS
  • Utilizing some of the latest weaponry from Aurora, the HAWK Drone is able to provide its connected user a more robust offensive capability with its two Leamonde Laser Cannons giving it increased firepower and versatility in a combat situation.
  • In an improvement over the former design, the HAWK Drone's projected energy shield can take sustained blaster fire for two minutes for either itself or its connected user that it covers in a bubble-like shield for protection and has a much faster refresh time for continued uses. The shield can also be used by the connected user while in backpack mode for themselves.
  • HAWK Drones are equipped with a multitude of support features for its connected user and an increased capacity for storage of vital combat supplies over its predecessor.
WEAKNESSES
  • While a bit more protected than the Sparrow, Ion and EMP weaponry will still short out the drone and require it being repaired and placed in its storage dock to recharge, knocking it out of a fight.
  • If the Ramuh Power Cores are damaged, and their preservation field is knocked out, the Sianteria crystals within will sublimate and render the power core useless until the field is repaired, and a new crystal installed.
  • While it can utilize the different firing modes of the Leamonde laser cannons, it does reduce its range when using the Sianteria mode.
DESCRIPTION

The next offering from Aurora Industries' Droid Division as part of the Phase III modernization program, the HAWK Drone is intended as an upgrade to the old Sparrow Drones created by the company. The HAWK is designed around the same basic chassis as the Sparrow as the design team liked the aesthetic of the drone, but most of the internal components were upgraded to a next generation. The light laser cannons from the previous model were replaced with scaled-down Leamonde laser cannons and the shield projector was upgraded for a longer duration even under fire and a faster refresh rate.

A vast improvement for its support role is the HAWK has been equipped with a wider range of sensors and scanners than the Sparrow, along with an integrated link to its connected user's helmet HUD. Storage capacity was increased for weapon and medical supplies, and a bacta spray dispenser was installed for rapid combat healing of minor wounds. A final addition was the inclusion of a scomp link interface system specially designed by the company with a nanite-shifting tip that can mold itself to interface with any terminal or interface dock.

Very nicely made submission! I found two smaller problems:
  • Your ratings are underpowered (-1), if you want, you can edit this.
  • Heat and Cold resistances; these are one resistance, not two. So please modify this into "Environmental" resistance. You can keep them as sub-resistance, but the main rating will be count only.
  • And the life form scanner what you link is anti-stealth one, so please remove it, or specify your droid can't detect stealthed targets.

Lifeform scanner removed, and I'm fine with keeping the resistances as the current ratings since the template does say it's an optional thing. I do have one question since I'm not seeing where Heat and Cold were combined into Environmental since it's an optional resistance and they would be protecting against opposites. Where is that?

Thank you for the change! I never really accepted these as separated, and I always counted every as heat/cold, pressure, vacuum are environmental resistances. And this is a Fourth Degree (combat) droid, so here not really optional the resistances. I mean everyone would ask restistance to such droids which can be go combat. We always asked resistances for the fourth degree droids. But here it really doesn't matter that much.

Approved.
