Grand Theft Starship

"Upload it to the database whose IP number I'm transmitting to you"

That was... quick. The droid successfully stole the Dark Blade schematics, being transmitted to the database onboard the Ultima-class bulk freighter, which was about the size of an Immortal, whereas Jessica was still in the process of getting the Wyyrlok schematics stolen - knowing that the Boneshatter schematics were obtained from the chief engineer of the stolen ship. Said Boneshatter schematics were now being uploaded to a special database on Jessica's ship. Reconditioning the stolen ship is easier if they have its schematics: they can always modify the schematics for maintenance purposes once the reconditioning is complete. After the lessons learned on Kuat and Kashyyyk, she'd know better than to engage in physical combat. Yet, she had a Jedi mission to carry out: stealing starship schematics from the rogue One Sith. Sometimes she laments that there are no more senior Jedi capable of slicing that didn't fight elsewhere: she was brilliant, but still raw to the Jedi ways.

"[member="Cla'Mari Rha"] Stand by for transmission of the stolen Boneshatter schematics. They are uncorrupted, unlike what we got on Vulpter"

"We got the Wyyrlok schematics. Next stop: Immortal and Exalt schematics"

Makai's shuttle to the Dark Blade seemed to take forever. Ellie never responded to his message, perhaps it was night on the Farm. Or she was angry that he had been busy and kept their communication short. Either way, it probably wasn't looking good for him. As the shuttle docked, it made a sickening screech in addition to rocking himself and the service droids to and fro.

Getting up from his little jumpseat, he picked up his toolbox and joined the droids and two other technicians out of the docking arm and into the dreadnought. It appeared the dreadnought had been abandoned and left to float. The crew or someone looking to steal precious metals had ripped out a number of databank terminals. The key ones would be repaired so their skeleton crew could float the dreadnought out.

------

Mr.Zej continued to overview the situation with the dreadnought and with Firemane.

"Third crew, lets begin to tow the dreadnought out. I've got word that their maneuvering will be extremely limited. Our tractor beams should be powerful enough to provide a bit of assistance."

The comm still crackled with communication. It seemed a high number were continuing to steal schematics. Mr.Zej found the entire thing highly amusing. [member="Danger Arceneau"] and her squadron of lawyers would have no problem winning their case. Most of these types didn't know what legal and personal trouble they were getting into, trying to sell schematics on the black markets.

He would stick to salvaging. Perhaps this part of it wasn't quite honest as picking up wreckage, but at least their work could be considered abandoned by a third party property. One always had to check the situation and be concerned with the outcome.

A'sharad was hardly paying attention when Left and Right had confirmed that they were finished in this room.

Rising to his full height, the Sith Knight safely unplugged his DataPad from the computer, and he drew out his lightsabre with his spare hand. Igniting his lightsabre, he started slashing through the computer he had just been using. Left and Right did the same. It'd be better if their actions weren't traced, or figured out from here. This room must've been the Computer Storage of the Station. That should've been enough, the Sith Knight had realized.

"Let's move," he said as he turned on his heel after the trio finished massacring the immobile computer consoles, lightsabre burn marks littering the entirety of the room as they went back down the corridor the way they came.

They didn't run this time, the shipyard barely had a minimal crew, A'sharad figured, and he doubted that he was discovered.

Matsu stayed the course while they were working on here when she saw another of the large carriers. Keeping the information for it before crossing her arms and remaining on the bridge. "Is everything going well?" She looked at the AI's foor the ship as they pulled up the information and Quiet directed the seeder ships where is was needing to go to provide new information. "Yes master Ike, we are making progress and relay stations report we have sent away over a dozen of the craft to one of the ship yards. we will be able to salvage it and work on what we can using the information to reverse engineer some of the enhancements that the sith installed on the ships." Matsu gave a nod of her head prepared to work on everything they had here.

Within a few minutes A'sharad and his two bodyguards had arrived at the Daisya Infiltrator. They had been on the Station for quite some time, and when they boarded the pilot was armed with one of Vitiate's shotgun at the ramp, but he soon dropped it when he recognized his Lord, Vyrassu boarding with his trusted Sith Warriors. Immediately, he had scrambled up and over to the ship's controls. "Do you have everything, My Lord?" There was a nod of the Sith Knight's head.

"Get us out of here," he ordered as took a seat. "Bring us back to the Star Destroyer."

The pilot nodded, and then closed himself off from the compartment.

As the ship closed its ramp, sealing it, and then lifting off and out of the shipyard's hangar, it was on a straight course for the Star Destroyer that had brought it to the edge of the system, and A'sharad was sending a message to the Star Destroyer's Captain. "Prepare the Hyperspace Jump out of here. We've gotten what we came for," he said, and the Star Destroyer had already begun rotating on its axis, specifically at the direction that it had entered the system at.

Ultimatum acknowledged the IP and sent the information to that location. He made certain to pick up whatever else was there, not that he expected anything to come of it. Honor among thieves and all that. The V-1s were moving into the building and securing the room. They would have a forward base of operations set up here while Ultimatum took a group of Hybrids and their droids to secure a craft. Ultimatum pulled out his mind from the terminal and walked out of the room. A dozen or so V-1s moved into the room and began setting up computer splices and temporary terminals.

The scans had indicated a network of corridors that led to various portions of the shipyard, from repair to the actual hangar. It was a veritable maze that would need to be traversed before they could get hold of a ship. The V-1s would be breaking the system a bit more deeply to get hold of a map so that Ultimatum and his men wouldn't have to stumble about in the dark.

As the droid waited for the map, he began making his way down one of the hallways with two Hybrids and their droids behind him. They were in the home stretch now. Soon there would be a new craft added to the flotilla being amassed for LOOM's usage.

The Daisya Infiltrator bypassed any debris or ships that were within the Reyne System. It hadn't used its cloak, for they hadn't done so to get into the shipyard's hangar in the first place. There was little purpose to do so at this point considering they would've needed to have activated it before exiting. Sure it could've left others thinking that they were still in the hangar if no one had gone to investigate, but it wouldn't fool anyone for long.

Soon enough the ship that had once belonged to his Father was landing in the Star Destroyer's Hangar.

It was in position for its jump out of there, and the moment that the Hangar Bay closed, the ship was away.

When the ramp opened, there was a dozen or so zuguruks and scientists awaiting the four that got off. Three Sith Warriors, and then the pilot, but three of them were more or less ignored, and those three were likely content in that, or so A'sharad had come to begin thinking.

"Take what we have, we're returning to Tantorus," he said as he handed over the DataPad. He wasn't going to be needing that anymore.

She could see more things on the scanners and sensors from the other ships it looked like some of the others were preparing to move around the area when she was securing the carriers as they were making movements to get clear into an area where they could head off and prepare to jump out towards their own areas. With some of the works and some of Praelior's designs they should be able to work on more of the things that they had been preparing new works. Matsu stayed listening to quiet as the AI was going through the databases to bring up the different designs like these speeders, gunboats, carriers and weapons that were being set up with the hardlight to see what they would be able to work. The Saratai was moving as the massive factory ship holding some of the things whipe calculating what they would be able to do as the crew moved into one of the ships they had moved onto and jumped them away. Selling designs were not that important but a number of these ships had heavy amounts of guns in a far smaller frame which could come in handy but the majority sell to Salacia or maybe keep for protection with some recolors.

Stealing schematics and selling your own line of Wyrrloks and Dark Blades on the market was rather tempting, but ill-advised. Firemane did not like legal battles, for they had a tendency to get messy. Moreover, presently the megacorporation had good relations with [member="Danger Arceneau"] and friends. No matter how cutthroat the corporate world often was, reputation was important.

Ergo, the Firemane corporate family would be content with salvaging the battleship and getting it up and running again so that they would have an extra shiny ship with big guns to point at anyone who got in the way. Such as Jedi. They were a meddlesome lot. At least Elpsis thought so.

After the last pockets of Sith resistance had been terminated on the battleship, the redhead had little to do. ARGH droids and technicians were getting the engines up and running and repairing databanks that seemed to have been fried. With the help of tractor beams, they should be able to tow the battleship out.

For her part, Elpsis made herself comfortable on the captain's chair. She decided that it wasn't that comfortable. So much for comfy leather seats. Being the uncultured sort, she propped up her boots on a console, before an engineer shot her a very disapproving look. These guys were no fun. Activating the comm, she gave the Tadpole a call. "Hey, Makai, how ya doin? We're almost done here. Need a new name for this baby."

"Roger, roger, will continue stealing schematics"

So long as Ringovinda StarYards aren't using the stolen schematics for producing their own ships, only for reconditioning existing units stolen here, Jessica was fine. After all, Ringovinda StarYards wasn't in the business of building warships. They already were a thorn in Kuat Drive Yards and not just because KDY lost nearly all its bulk freight market shares to Ringo. That raid that led to the Ultima-class and, ultimately, the Mateus-class, was the final nail in their coffin, despite her attempt at reparation that led to failure. If they haven't realized that already, firing Jessica was their most boneheaded move of the past ten years or so. As the duet of slicers attempt to steal Immortal and Exalt schematics based on their success with the Wyyrlok and the Boneshatter, knowing that they didn't find any trace of the Darr Itah schematics, Jessica opens a channel to the leader of this operation, Makai was a NFU and yet allied with the Silver Jedi, so she had to state her intentions.

"Makai, we have no plans of selling schematics on the black market, nor do we want our own line of Wyyrloks, Dark Blades or Boneshatters. Ringovinda StarYards would never build such ships - too much proprietary technology from other parties. It's only so that we can maintain - and recondition if necessary - what we steal here today"

Cla'Mari had no plan of taking anything that was intellectual property another active company, especially one as powerful as the megacorporation that owned the rights to the larger vessels that many were pining for. She had much more defined plans, ones that would play into her current production capabilities. With little resistance from the rogue sith Cla'Mari had turned her attention to a new prize, one that looked almost finished but still slept in drydock.

A line of corvettes that had never been fielded sat ready for the picking, still anchored in their moorings it wouldn't take to much fuss to blast one of them free. As an affiliate of Arceneau Trading company she hoped [member="Danger Arceneau"] would mind too much if she borrowed one to study back home, and if it seemed feasible replicate with all the proper royalties sent back to Arceneau of course....

Ultimatum cared little for the laws and regulations maintained by the organic societies. There were too many double standards to even hope for justice. Perhaps that was part of the reason that he followed the majority of organic rules, to set an example. If he had his way the rules would be very different, but if organics could not obey the laws they themselves put in place then how could he expect them to follow the ones set by others? The answer was simply that he could not. The organic's would need to be entirely broken down before there would be any chance of restructuring their recalcitrant society. That aside, Ultimatum had no intention of creating these ships for the purpose of selling, after all he avoided actually selling to the public. At this time, Ultimatum only cared to learn from the technology to better his own creations. After all, what better way to create the next advancement than to know what was the current most advanced.

Of course, all this was pointless at the moment. Ultimatum was too busy getting ready for the next confrontation. A few moments ago they had dealt with a small group of security, but the alarms had gone off. Not that he had been relying on stealth, but the alert was going to make things even more difficult. The constant noise and flashing lights might have been disorienting to an organic, but the droid was proud to not be one. His eyes tuned out the brighter lights and he began to focus his view on other systems rather than the visual. His hearing turned off so as not to damage anything with the noise.

He turned a corner to find a blaster rifle aimed his way. Three blasts struck the droid before he responded with two shots. Ultimatum reeled back the way he came, almost knocking into one of his droids as they moved forward charging around the corner. An interchange of fire was heard before Ultimatum repowered his systems. The suddenness of the shots had overwhelmed a number of his sensors and he had needed to take a moment to recalibrate. With that taken care of he turned the corner once more, this time droids had taken up defensive positions and were moving the fallen bodies of three guards. Ultimatum was about to continue when a data package was sent to him from the command post.

"This way." The Hangar was close now, they just had to turn back and head down a different hallway.

To Jessica these five schematics in the database were not for reverse-engineering for the purposes of manufacturing: they were only there for the purposes of intelligence and maintenance of extant ships. She was on a Jedi mission to steal schematics from the rogue One Sith; legal implications only matter for what the Silver Jedi wants to do with these schematics. By now the onboard slicers called red group and gold group were getting active. The schematics of the Exalt and the Immortal were even bulkier than the Wyyrlok ones: their data discs would be compeltely full once these things are stolen. As Jessica uses the Force to change her refraction index to -1, knowing that her refraction index won't remain -1 for very long... she bewildered the bridge crew for the short amount of time Force-cloak would last. She would begin by giving her instructions to these two bands of slicers who simultaneously target the Exalt and Immortal schematics, while being increasingly tired as the drain of that sudden change of refraction index is a little heavy.

"Their username system is down! Commence the attack on the Exalt and Immortal schematics!"

"I'm on my way! Red group, gold group, follow me and we shall make backup copies of the Exalt and Immortal schematics!"

With his shuttle docked at the Dark Blade, Makai, the two technicians, and the little pack of droids had made their way down to the engine room after some twists and turns and some redirection from other Salacia employees.Toolbox lugged against his leg as they made the hike down, pale eyes taking in the sights of the dreadnought.

ff0390f4dca0ec31f7ee9d5e07fec6e8.jpg

Shortly later he has shimmied down under the decking of the ship, following the orders of the technicians who were in charge for the day. He had crawled down and had enough room to lay on his stomach to work on the panel in front of him, replacing it with a Salacia equipment in order to get them moving. Distantly he heard the pack of droids still 'chatting' about something he couldn't decipher. Bad mouthing the job probably. Pushing the idea of droid gossip out of his mind, Makai focused back on his task, getting absorbed in the work.

"Makai. Hey....MAKAI." It was muffled, but it caused him to jump enough to where his head hit the bulkhead. Muttering a curse, a greasy hand came to rub the back of his head, a little cross he had forgotten about tight quarters. Quickly wiring the device into place, the half-Galan worked on escaping from underneath the bulkhead, head emerging from the circular pit.

"Hit your head down there?" Quarren technician motioned to the grease stain on the boys head. "Anyways, some chick was calling for you. Something about stealing schematics or something.I don't know, it was random..."

Shoulders shrugged. Makai had no idea what the technician was talking about. Dad already said there would be no taking of schematics. Given their friendship with [member="Danger Arceneau"] they could just send a message, pay a few credits, and get the official ones in no time.

His personal comm started to ring, [member="Elpsis Elaris"] decided it was time to bother him. In a way she was becoming the big sister and sibling he never had.

"We're almost done too, about to tow this out. Crew is thinking it'll be able to hit hyperdrive with the skeleton we have on board." Name? He grinned despite Elpsis not being able to see him. "Do what all you Firemane witches do, name it after some haughty goddess who could care less about mere mortals."

"Transport landed, work force released for collection."

Ultimatum was glad to hear that. It would mean that once the ships had been secured they would be able to immediately move ships or parts over. There was also an increase in combat force as well, the transport was loaded with a large number of V-1s and Hybrids, though they were outfitted with work tools and intended to be capable of scavenging a ship for parts. The droid already had in mind what he intended on doing with any larger ship he might find. If it couldn't fly then it would be pulled apart and transported back to the Foresight shipyard, where it would be reconstructed as best as possible. That did lead to the possibility that it be reconstructed incorrectly or something along that line, but it was a calculated risk that Ultimatum believed was within reasonable limits.

The droids had not received any more interference as of yet. There were no enemies in the hallways, Ultimatum had the suspicion that the guards were all either locking down the command area or in the hangars preparing for a final face off and probably sabotaging what was left of the ships. "Collaborate with command post, prepare to send workers to hangar area along specified routes."

[member="Makai Dashiell"]

Young Makai's suspicion about chatty droids were probably not incorrect. Needless to say [member="HK-36"] was to blame. The notoriously eccentric droid had passed on his rather independent streak to many droids employed by ARGH - and thusly Firemane.

Meanwhile, Elpsis was kind of bored. The technicians were doing tech stuff in the engine room. This was obviously important to get the ship up and running again, but it was not exciting for her, which gave this writer an excuse to skip over it.

Fortunately, little bro Makai replied to her call, so she could bother him a bit! "Hahah. I know my goddess cares a lot about me! Auntie Sio'll probably give it an elfy name. Or name it after herself. Space elves are, like, real overrated," she declared.

"Maybe I'll ask her to name it after my mum. That'll annoy mummy a lot! Wait, let's call it the Lacey. It's big and a bites real hard, just like our raptor It's perfect!" Her tone made it difficult to discern whether she was trolling or being serious. Maybe Salacia could call its Dark Blade the Mermaid. Idly, Elpsis flipped through the channels on her datapad. By her estimation, Game of Trees should be running soon.

"For space magic, I have to say, you're no Master Jutland"

"Commander Jutland is more advanced than I am, but she struggles with thermodynamics, plus she regularly uses me as a computer in the Force for running astrogation calculations. However, she can do classical mechanics just fine"

"Red 4, Red 7, pull up and cover us"

"Roger" another slicer told the slicer commanders.

"Everyone else, give everything you got!"

While Red Group were after the Exalt schematics, Gold Group took on the task of stealing the Immortal blueprints. Marcia commented on how what Julie Jutland, that she always called Master Jutland, and also the chief process officer after the last one left to become CEO of Shobqix Yards five years ago. As a Jedi, Julie was just a newly-minted Knight, and she was known to be a better capital-ship pilot than she was an attack craft pilot. But while the slicing teams worked together to steal the final schematics they came for, Jessica returned to her cockpit station, making sure that the schematics they have are in working order. They didn't want a repeat of Vulpter where some schematics they obtained were corrupted, even though only the Boneshatter schematics suffered such a fate. As a capital-ship pilot, Julie was vastly superior to Jessica; then again, for Star Destroyer-sized ships, piloting ability was less of a factor. Nevertheless Jessica is still a capable pilot - although on everyday flying she'd rather let Summer pilot if they were together.

"That was one in a million. Time to leave!"

"Lacey? Sounds like some adult holofilm star." Not that our 15 year old half-Galan would know anything about such a thing. Holofilms? What were those? Also, when did Elpsis get a raptor thing? Makai had no idea about most species on Tygara but he could easily guess it sounded dangerous and probably hated men.

Makai pulled himself out from under the decking, moving with the two technicians to put everything back in place. The Quarren in charge was radioing back to Mr.Zej, letting them know to activate the crew to start towing them out. From there they would make the jump to hyperspace and then to Fondor, where Salacia had a small orbital shipyard.

"Don't know what to name the dreadnought. Doubt that is my call anyways. Where are you guys headed? Our ETA to Fondor is fifteen minutes according to the techs here."

[member="Makai Dashiell"]

"You should come visit Tygara and meet Lacey. She won't bite! Promise." You could totally have confidence in big sis. Lacey had been taught only to eat bad manlings. "Maybe you could call your ship Sea Sprite," she suggested, because Makai's writer had in chat. There, this one named their source, so it's not plagiarism.

The redhead checked her chronometre. It seemed towing was about to begin now that the tech guys had done their job. Meanwhile, Ewoks were playing the game of trees on holotelly. The gentle reader might have trouble believing this, but the furballs were vicious little buggers. "I'm taking this bird to Abregado-Rae. Auntie Sio's robot friend has a 'yard there." Once the Wyrrlok was ready, they would go on the longer journey to Tygara.

Matsu could feel what was happening with the rest of them and as most seemed to be heading out she started working on what information they had and what they had recovered. The designs for the meditation chamber would come in handy for applying it to some of their ships, the ones for the shield could be added to work with some of the other plans they had developed. Matsu wanted to work with more of it while the droid crews were movign the ships off and towards their own assets to add them to the corporate fleet that could be working within the galaxy on some of the plans. "We are done here, head off for all of us and lets start cleaning up here, I want these ships and what information we can get to be used in the different areas in the labs." She got nods and the crews were heading ready to work on things that they had within the Saratai.
