Minefield: A one hundred meter stretch around the base is vigorously mined with AVM-01's, APM-01's and even some fougasse mines. The only non-mined area is a twenty meter wide stretch that leads up to the main gate.
Main Gate: The main gate is the only designed entry and exit point in the entire base and is therefore heavily guarded with durasteel bollards, razor wire, duracrete barriers and at least a ten legionnaires.
Defense Towers: To provide three hundred and sixty degrees of protection for the post there are defense towers stationed at each point of the octagon and two more on each side of the main gate, each tower is armed with either a HMG-01 or AGL-01, a trio of LDAAW Mk I and the personal armament of the two legionnaires manning it.
Air Defense Emplacements: Inside the perimeter of the post are four emplaced anti-aircraft weapons, two EAAC-01's and two EAAML-01's, as to protect the post from any attacks from the air.
Tactical Operations Center: Stationed near the center of the post, and therefore at the safest spot, is the tactical operations center. This building is the nerve center of the post and the operations conducted by any legionnaires stationed there.
Barracks: Several pre-fab buildings scattered throughout the post are used as barracks for the legionnaires stationed there.
Armories: Several pre-fab buildings scattered throughout the post are used as armories to store the weapons and ammunition for the legionnaires stationed there.
Med-Bays: Several pre-fab buildings scattered throughout the post are used as med-bays to treat both everyday average injuries and more severe combat related injuries.
Motor Pools: Several pre-fab buildings scattered throughout the post are used as motor pools for maintenance and repairs on any vehicles deployed with the legionnaires.
Mortar Pits: Stationed around the post are several groups of IM-01's to give the post a degree of indirect fire support and defense against any attacks.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
In an effort to provide legionnaires out in the field with a sort of base camp they could operate out of and rest when needed, the top brass at the Galactic Foreign Legion began work on designing such a base camp. They needed something that could be quick to build and easy to defend and the result of these qualities the GFL Combat Operations Post was created.
Constructed out of simple hesco bastions reinforced with sheets of durasteel and filled with simple pre-fab buildings the Combat Operations Post offers every type of support service that the legionnaires might need when deployed.
