STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Sith Imperial Academy: Trained in the Bastion Imperial Academy under the rough tutelage of his former Sith masters, Gallius was provided with state-of-the-art in matters of naval formation and strategy. He used to study with people from all across the Empire, selected to become the Head of staff of the Sith Imperial Navy. As such, he is extremely proficient in naval combat but has also been trained in hand-to-hand combat and elite blaster exercises.

Interest in alien cultures: Since his troublesome desertion from the Sith Empire, Orcana had plenty of time to use and he ultimately decided, after exploring much of the Empires' history, to dedicate himself to better understanding alien cultures. He became fond of art, antique weapons and architecture, studying numerous hours of literature and philosophy. Thanks to his studies, he managed to discover naval treaties from the ancient Tion Hegemony, master Jakelii Kal Redalur, to better understand the pre-Empire Yinchorri society, and learn the basics of a few languages, such as huttese, mando'a or smuggler's cant. Finally, his interest in alien cultures brought him to the weapons field, from which he retained some weapons, such as a kyuzo Petar or a verpine scattergun.

Fanatic: Having passed a Sith Academy does not only mean one is fit enough to survive and graduate. It also signifies that one has been indoctrinated enough to fanatically serve its masters, or die trying. Gallius like every other student has been indoctrinated since his birth, and as such believes in a mighty Empire that will rule the galaxy forever. While his rebellion against the Sith has proven him capable of critique, the New Order is now the cause he is devoted to. As such, he is convinced he serves the right cause, one he will be glad to die for. This fanaticism partially clouds his judgment, and he is no stranger to suicidal actions that could tip the balance in favour of the New Imperial Order.

Sith defector: Being a product of the Sith Empire is not something everyone is proud of. And even if it's the case, many psychological habits stay while growing up, scarring one's social life forever. Gallius is one of these people who cannot let go of automatisms acquired in the Sith society. As such he is a ruthless leader, taking for granted what is announced and punishing anyone who fails him. Even trying to hold back these traits is not easy, and Gallius knows for sure that he is not an appreciated commander. His merciless command has granted him a bad reputation in spite of his excellent tactician traits. As such, his crew is somewhat reluctant to give him their confidence, something that lowers morale by far.

APPEARANCE:
Gallius is not a brute of a man. He is quite tall and muscular but appears slender in comparison to every man who dedicated himself more physically. Still, the remnants of Bastion's ruthless training show themselves in the habit of practising hand-to-hand combat regularly, something that has spared Gallius from transforming into a decayed old navy officer too soon. His face has been sculpted in his youth and the once angelic features are now stern and harsh. Even when jesting his enemies on the battlefield, his jaw is nothing more than a savage smile that makes his eyes shine in bloodlust. His hair has not changed in a decade, keeping that deep hazelnut colour. The rest of his body is always covered by a standard-issue uniform, making public that only in death does duty ends.

BIOGRAPHY:
Gallius was born to Mare and Kendal Orcana and named Gallius in honour of a long-dead ancestor named so, who served the First Galactic Empire. Living in the Sith society was not something easy, and the moderate nobility of the Orcana meant that Gallius was to be given no help in order to succeed. Yet he was admitted to the excellency Bastion Naval Academy, and was indoctrinated and trained by the top-notch naval instructors the Sith Empire had ever birthed. Through his classes, he learned how to manage a ship, motivate its crew, deal with pirates, and enemies of every type, navigate a hyperspace route and monitor an entire fleet for battle. His additional training provided him with precision blaster exercises, vibroblade combat, etiquette and techniques of assassination. The competition was extremely harsh, but he managed to survive and was granted a commander-in-second rank on a newly issued Marr-class Star Destroyer.

After many years of service, he began to grudge against the Sith commanders, as some did not know anything about war but were still merciless if failure was to be found. At that time, he could not do anything, but he quickly discovered a secret lodge that conspired against the Sith in order to eliminate them and take control of the Empire. Little did he know about other imperial factions who prepared themselves to war against the Sith, but he eventually ended up master of his ship's lodge. It was a few months later that his captain left the command of the ship, as Gallius was promoted to replace him. The Gûzal'nur as it was named, was assigned to a peacekeeping fleet commanded by a Sith named Janus. It patrolled in the Sith-dominated space and was eventually assigned to the defence of Bastion some years later.

At the outbreak of the Third Imperial Civil War, Gallius learned that the rebels were for some, defectors of the Sith Empire. He slowly made up his mind into turning against his masters and joining this fledgeling rebellion. By the time the Imperials came to Bastion, the lodge had gained control of most of the Gûzal'nur and even expanded in some other ships of the fleet. At the height of the battle, Gallius ordered the lodge to rebel and take control of as many ships as possible, effectively cracking the line of the Sith defence. The Gûzal'nur and a frigate fell into the hands of the lodge, and on other ships, the fight divided the crew and paralysed the vessels. The actions of the lodge, among other things, tipped the balance against the Sith and broke the orbital line of defence. Gallius then turned his Destroyer against the Dreadnought of his Sith commander and disabled it at the cost of his own ship.

Saved by the Imperials, Orcana rallied the New Imperial Order and was promoted to the rank of Line Captain for his valorous actions during the liberation of Bastion. Gallius was then sent to the Borders of the Empire to secure the frontier planets, aboard a Caçadores-class Assault Corvette. He took that time to study many alien cultures as he knew it could only be beneficial and also proceeded to learn the history, philosophy and deeds of each and every Empire, from Naga Sadow's to the actual one, without neglecting Vitiate's, and Fel's. He managed at this time to acquire a kyuzo Petar and some verpine scatter weapons, which expanded his collection of weapons. His exemplary service and his deeds against minor Sith incursions granted him the command of a Cuirassier-class Cruiser, and he was integrated into the outskirts of defence. He was quickly remarked by Jaeger Harrsk of COMPNOR, who made him the favour operating on Oben against Kaleesh extremists. There, Gallius met Second Lieutenant Jivim Vaak , of Razor Squadron, with who he gained the allegiance of numerous Kaleesh warriors. After the failed invasion of Dantooine, Gallius was selected to join the Third Fleet and bolster their ranks. Jumping into hyperspace, he set course to Bastion, not knowing he would jump right into the Sith invasion that was occurring.

During the Second Battle of Bastion, Gallius's suicidal actions were remarked by Admiral Regent Caarlyle Rausgeber . He managed to break through the lines of the Sith navy, and join the besieged forces of Bastion, before unleashing the might of his Cuirassier's turbolasers on the Sith legions who soon made a full retreat to escape the rain of fire. In the aftermath of the battle, during the repairs of the Pride of the Emperor, Gallius was contacted by a Sith officer, by the pseudonym Javelin. Working with Jaeger Harrsk, Orcana acquired the sensible data Javelin could give him before preparing his defection. During the political talks on Thyrsus, Gallius participated in the gladiatorial contests organised by the Thyrsian warriors. Shortly thereafter, his ship was repaired, and the officer was ordered to join the invasion fleet on its way to Generis. Taking command of an assault fleet, Gallius successfully escorted his Kaleesh warriors to the targeted space station, before launching a daring attack at the heart of the Sith armada. A counter-order from COMPNOR agents postponed the turncoat operation, but Orcana nonetheless managed to inflict significant damages to the Sith dreadnoughts, paving the way for Rausgeber's own attack.

As the battle ended, Gallius was appointed leader of a new fleet formed under his orders. He was subsequently promoted to the rank of Commodore. He was also awarded the Iron Sun for his actions on Bastion, then gathered the best officers and soldiers he could to form a unit that would rip the Sith Empire once and for all. Creating the Fifth Fleet, the officer was contacted by Julius Haskler and offered a place in his growing noble house in exile. Though he did not respond immediately, he left the field of discussion open and departed with his fleet to Serenno.

There, he was contacted again by Jaeger Harrsk, who asked him to shepherd Zeradias Mant 's vessels towards the Tregessar and force the confrontation between the Iron Empire remnant and the New Imperials. Gallius complied with the order, but seeing his superior in danger, he could not completely forgo his ties to the Imperial Navy. He rushed towards the command ship with many embarked Imperial-Anaxsi soldiers and proceeded to fight back the Iron Empire boarding party. Irrupting in the confrontation, he was shot down by Rausgeber and arrested by his men for treason.

COMPNOR managed to disrupt the martial court and free Orcana, but the consequences of his actions effectively cut ties between him and the Navy. As such, he defected with his all fleet to House Haskler of Anaxes and was subsequently awarded the rank of Supreme Commander of the Imperial-Anaxsi Navy. Still nominally loyal to the Imperator, Gallius effectively turned his back to the New Imperial Order and became a fully-fledged Anaxsi.

Afterwards, he would lead the Anaxsi to war on Csilla, fighting against the horrors of Dark-Side cultists and living vessels. He quickly engaged an operation to deter the Maw from kidnapping the Chancellor, engaging a fleet of Mawite vessels led by Tu'teggacha and his massive Fatalis. Pushing hard against it, Gallius lost several ships but came close to breaking the defensive ring and reaching the superweapon. In the end, he was forced to withdraw as the Mercy tried and hurled itself on Csilla's surface.

SHIP: As a commanding officer, Gallius was given many ships throughout his career, starting as Lieutenant on a Marr-class Destroyer, before commanding a Caçadores-class Assault Corvette, and finally leading a Cuirassier-class Cruiser into battle. The last of these ships was named the Pride of the Emperor, and while he was not really different from a standard Cuirassier-class Cruiser, some things differentiated him. First of all, the ship was painted in bright imperial colours, deep black and flashing red, with white ornaments. It featured giant imperial sigils on the flanks, marking clearly his allegiance in battle. Finally, a small holographic emitter was kept lit just above the main deck, depicting every ship Gallius took down during his career. And between the shield generators, on top of the vessel, a holo picture of Janus was put, jesting forever the Sith that fell with his capital.
