From Dancer to... Whatever It Is You Are!

Saryana Lynae

New Beginnings Are Found In The Strangest Places
"You have the wrong idea. I'm a dancer, nothing more," Saryana replied though she didn't sound very convinced. She looked down at the ground, suddenly finding herself unable to meet the older woman's gaze. She got up to check on her pasta and seeing that it was done she scooped some into two bowls and poured some of the sauce over both. She returned the her small living room and sat back down, offering one bowl and fork to Alex. She assumed the woman would be hungry, if she wasn't she could just set it on the small coffee table in front of the couch. [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

She watched her for a few moments and shook her head lightly before smiling all the bit longer. "You underestimate yourself, you see, i can tell when someone is force sensitive most times out of any. You see, your sensitivity to the force is something very curious. You know you have none of the known normal outward warning which for the moment made me think everything was a bit harder."

"What do you mean?" Saryana asked curiously, after swallowing a mouthful of food. She felt a small glimmer of hope as Alex spoke. Would she finally be able to escape from her life as dancer? Would she be able to avoid being sent off to a hutt to be a personal dancer and no doubt slave for other things? She felt a strange sense of happiness that she hadn't had since the last time she saw her family. [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

"You can use the force, maybe not at this moment, but i am more than sure of it when i say this Saryana. You see, i have a knack for picking out those that are strong enough in the force to grow far in the field of study that is the force an so i offer to you now a home and place to live as well as something to learn. I leave your decision up to you though, as i cannot force you to become something you dont want to be."

"I... Really? You think you could teach me?" Saryana didn't know what to say or how to react. She tried to fight the building excitement but she simply couldn't rein it in. She set her food down and sprung forward, hugging Alex gently as she was scared of harming the baby. She blushed a bit at the situation, but continued to hug the silver eyed woman before her. Alex was saving her from living the rest of her life as a dancer, it was everything Saryana had dreamed of. She never thought she'd have the chance to get away from her poor life style. "Absolutely... and don't worry about being Gentle, you aren't going to hurt them... Are there any friends of yours that you need to tell, im going to be on the planet for a few more days and if you need somewhere to hide my ship is in the main starport, dock F." She smiled and looked at the young girl, having hugged Saryana back for the moment she had hugged her and now she looked at the girl with a calm soft gaze.

"Well I do have a friend who stays here sometimes. His name is Will and he has a big bushy tail. Could... I tell him where we'll be staying after we leave? I promised him if he ever needed a place to go he could always stay with me," she explained, blushing faintly. She sounded like a little kid in the way she described the boy she had met in the cantina. She hoped she'd be able to find him and let him know where she was going. Another day, another pay. Finally, I had managed to make a score of money without getting caught. Now, I didn't get caught often, the same went for me even being noticed. However, lately it had been common and I was starting to get tired of having to run from men who called for my hands to be lopped ff.. But now, it seemed like I was getting better at what I was doing, a with several credit pouches hanging from my hips, I made it to Saryana's home, my base of operations if you could call it that. It had been kind of her to take me in, and I repaid by finding funds t help out while trying my best not to lead any of my benefactors here. (Generally I slept on the street on nights I felt someone might be trying to find me). Knocking on the door, I leaned against the frame and waited for an answer.

Saryana heard the knock and got up to answer the door. It had to be Will, he was the only person who ever knocked on her door. She openned it and was greeted with sight of her bushy tailed friend. She wondered where exactly he was finding the money he brought home, but decided against asking. "I'd offer to make you a key, but I may not be here much longer..." she told him as she moved aside to allow him to enter. [member="William Seraven"]@Saryana Lynae

Alexandra followed the girl with her eyes, only to see something that instantly caused her brow to raise as she looked at William for a few moments. "Well, it seems that you are something i was not expecting to see. First i see Veradune, find out Vulpesen is a Zorren, and now i get the pleasure of seeing another Zorren so soon after i left the planet... amazing."

I rose a brow at her words and walked in, noticing some pale lady. "Oh? Whats going on? Yo decide to join some sort of convent for ghosts?" She was an odd one, echani if I remembered right... something about that also seemed familiar. My father had told me about them, but I couldn't figure out what. Besides that point, she also smell, like a distant memory. Then... she mentioned it. Veradune. The word echoed in my mind and I couldn't help myself. Visions flashed before my eyes. My uncle dragged and shot. The tales of our exile. The days would walk in on my parents crying in each other's arms.

In instinct, one of my hands flattened, allowing the talon like nails to form a sort of blade while the other widened into a ripping claw. With a leap forward, the bladed hand went just below her chin, not touching her quite yet but certainly holding an air of 'not a move" while the other raised in the air, preparing to strike. A natural zorren stance for interrogation. "How do you know of that planet!?" I kept my voice a harsh growl. Only two people knew about my home. Zorrens like me, and those who tried to exterminate us and take the planet.

She rose a brow as he struck, not even flinching and reaching up to lightly push his hand below her chin away if he would allow. "Vulpesen Torrevaso brought me to see it after we discovered its location, i was there helping with its liberation from some rather annoying mercenaries... i swear, if i was still like i was a few years ago, i would have gutted every one of those guys. 'Muts this, dogs that' yada yada they went one, luckily vulpesen's father and mother are less hesitant about the whole affair of killing someone."

My eyes narrowed at her words and while my hand lowered slightly, I still kept it bladed. She didn't seem threatening, I had to admit, but some things instinct simply drove. "I've never heard of anyone named Vulpesen, and the Torrevaso's are a myth, spread through rumors to entertain pups with the idea that there's someone back home." Of course I'd heard of the Valde family. But the Torrevasos were public enemy number one. There was no way the invaders would let them live this long. My father told me for years that some day the rebellion would succeed. All I knew was that times were hard and I never once heard news of a single fortress falling back in the homeland. Besides, hunters were often liars. how was I to know that she wasn't just trying to get me to let my guard down?

"Will, calm down. I think she's telling the truth... And she's pregnant... You can't harm a pregnant woman," Saryana urged, trying to calm her friend. She didn't like being around angry people, it scared her. She stepped closer to Will and put her hand on his arm gently. The Togruta was trying to be comforting and convey a sense of calm. She didn't know much about the problems the Zorren faced, but she knew that attacking Alex wasn't the answer. [member="William Seraven"] [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

"I can promise you that i have no reason to cause you or your people any harm.... not like it matters though, seeing as the planet is not under Mercenary control anymore. Me and Vulpesen aided Garen and Carliah in freeing your people." She started to push the Zorren away with a single hand.

Pregnant? My stance loosened at the reference and I continued to examine her scent. Why was it so strange? She then mentioned the freedom of my home and then pushed me away. Normally, she wouldn't have been able to, but with her words, my head was spinning. Veradune? Freed? It didn't make sense. How could a human and some zorren she brought a- A HUMAN AND A ZORREN! The scent finally clicked. She smelled like a zorren. One of my own kind. So maybe the purebloods were getting rarer, but she was holding another generation. My arms immediately dropped to my sides and I felt my face burning up with redness. "I'm Sorry, I didn't know. I couldn't have known." Veradune... free... did my parents know? I had to contact them, and sometime soon.

Her lips twitched and then curved into a wider smile as she patted the young man on the head, something she had done countless times to either her students or just simply someone younger to her. And if you ever asked her why even she did not know why she did it, she just did. "Now now, no harm done and im still perfectly fine so no need to be sorry. I can relate to how you would react seeing someone human talking about Veradune, though i must say those were almost too fast for me to counter if i had wanted too... almost." She smiled as she looked at the Zorren, humming. "I extend my offer to you as well now, like i had asked your Togrutan friend, i offer you training in the force."

And of course, I had to stand my head being patted as if I were a child. Still, did just threaten to rip out her throat so accepting this was the least I could do. As she offered me the chance to join Saryana, I found my ears perking up. Sure, I had the force in me. I had known since some of my first days on the street. Besides, learning to use these powers would really help and who knows how much I could get out of this new order. "That sounds like a good idea. Thanks."

Saryana smiled and moved over to hug Will. She smiled up at Alex as she clung to her Zorren companion. "Thank you for offering to train him too," the young Togruta told her as she let go of the boy. She was happy that she wouldn't need to leave her friend behind, and she was grateful to Alex for giving her the opportunity to escape her life as a dancer. She couldn't stop smiling as she contemplated what this could mean for her.[member="William Seraven"] [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

Alexandra smiled as she watched the two of them, her own mind going towards the thought of Vulpesen before smiling a bit wider. "Excuse me for asking, but how close are the two of you?" She rose a brow at them, watching for their reaction and seeing just what they thought about their relation. And if they were as close as she expected, then she would have to make sure they are taught by her, so that they are able to protect themselves from their own feelings.
