"Huntress and Dreamer have completed their jump... Ion missiles in bound for the Brotherhood Battlecruiser's predicted coordinates," The Pantoran took another few moments to consult the vessel's chief comms officer, "Beginning retreat as we speak..." The commander's eyes came to a defeated close, his tone meanwhile trailing off into dead silence.

"...What's wrong?"

"There's an interdiction field active... The epicenter seems to be in line with the battlecruiser's coordinates."

"Full sub-light retreat, maintain missile bombardment. Make sure our ships have fighters launched for screening. Stop outside of effective turbolaser range, but have Huntress prepare a concussion missile barrage to reinforce our own incoming squadrons," Fingers began to drum anxiously at the display set-up's rim, "Move us up to regroup with our front lines. Pegasus in front. And prepare the main battery for combat. Keep our hyperdrive prepped, and notify me as soon as their gravity wells can stop us."

Liedran's eyes scanned back down to an oversized sensor chart, and carefully took note of the gliding circles-- Two green ones marked as Huntress and Dreamer respectively, both fleeing a large red dot identified as the refinery, and another dot simply identified as "UNKNOWN." Another assortment of green moved in the opposite direction, Pegasus and the rest of her escort fleet, with denser clusters of fighters far to starboard.

The commodore's eyes never seemed to break from the display, her gaze only ceasing when she needed to blink-- and quickly returning to the situation at hand. A brief expletive sounded, though quiet enough for only her to hear as it should have been; no one had too, or should have heard their commanding officer expressing impatience as she did, especially in a delicate combat situation.

Their starfighters were approaching the orbital refinery with admirable diligence, at least, in Liedran's eyes. And in approximately two minutes, Pegasus and her frigates would be in a position to create a missile screen to hopefully overwhelm the enemy's defenses. But their odds would have been far better if they knew where to target.

She finally broke her own silence, and looked away from the screen, and likely wouldn't be able to catch her missile frigate and corvette flickering out from recognition. Nonetheless, Liedran held out an open hand, before the commander by her side finished a status briefing and passed her a communicator.

"Colonel," The commodore patched herself into their starfighter comms frequencies, and Kathryn Foster Kathryn Foster 's in specific, "Change of plans. Get a fly-by of that refinery. Stay out of their predicted laser cannon coverage, but try and get a few grazing shots along bulkheads, take out whatever sensor domes and communications dishes you can. We'll see if we can draw that battlecruiser out of hiding. Afterwards, proceed to our new coordinates. I'll have a point-defense screen ready to cover you if they send fighters."

When they send fighters.

Liedran quickly returned her eyes to the display.

As she waited for the order from her handler, Allyson let the eye record and process the information. The little hologram man was ordering the traitorous Marlon Sularen around. Interesting events were unfolding. It was at that moment that she heard the cold voice of the Chiss Director in her head.
<Take the shot.>

Her voice seethed into Allyson’s brain, melting the second thoughts that she was having. The crosshairs lined up, putting Marlon’s head into the center. The scope lowered, aiming for his chest, where his small heart would be beating. He had to know the Alliance knew he was an enemy of the state, and they would send an exterminator.

The scope settled as she exhaled, and in that moment of stillness, the sniper fired. The barrel of the sniper was outfitted with a suppressor, keeping her attack silent.

A single shot fired silently through the air, a hand quickly reloaded in preparation. Marlon had a reputation of being a slippery worm.

Allyson paused as she felt the interference that lingered in the back of her mind. Someone had tapped into the security line she shared with the Chiss. The Corellian raised an eyebrow; her thoughts fed into the feed letting the woman know they were compromised.

<Boss. We’re compromised.> It was all she said; she knew that the Director would understand what that meant and would take the necessary precautions. As she reloaded the next shot and lined up with Marlon once more.

KRIL'DOR , MID RIM
Mawite Occupied Platform
Objective | Survive
Current Forces :

"Sir , we have confirmation that Mawite Forces under The Mongrel have begun engaging the Alliance Strike Team" said one of the officers from the Central Command Platform. Atleast that was good news , the Mongrel had fought numerous Jedi before and a man of his talents would certainly halt the Alliance Advance giving the Grand Overseer enough time to find safer ground. Then suddenly one of the consoles of the Command Center began beeping with an Officer rushing to check out what was going on. Soon enough that Officer turned to face the Grand Overseer informing him of something Sularen had been waiting for a long time.

"Sir , numerous Ships have entered that atmosphere , it's the GADF. We are detecting numerous Fighter Squadrons headed towards the Refinery"

A Smile could be seen on Sularen's Face. Atlast the Grand Overseer thought , the trap was complete and now he was free to fully execute it. With no signs of Vel'alari heading for Kril'Dor , the Grand Overseer was free to engage the GADF without restraint , already ready to leave the Platform and head for his Flagship the Predator, which was positioned a few clicks away from the Refinery and cloaked along with two escorting Pelleaon-IV Battlecarriers. With an additional set of Warships on stand-by in a nearby system , there was absolutely nothing that could stand in the way of a decisive victory over the Alliance. All this waiting had led to this moment , and Sularen was ready to show the Alliance that he wasn't finished with them and that Byss had only been the beginning of something larger.

Sularen stood up and turned around to face his subordinates Colonel Rackham and Captain Hunter , but before he could speak the sound of glass shattering could be heard before the Grand Overseer was struck by a blaster bolt , the force of such a shot causing him to fall forwards onto his chair. Colonel Rackham stood there frozen while Captain Hunter was quick to react. "Guards quickly , protect the Grand Overseer." Quickly , 4 Crimson Guardians proceeded to surround the Grand Overseer and activate their Personal Shields in order to prevent the assassin from taking a second shot. Another Guard quickly tackled Colonel Rackham in order to ensure his safety with other guards quickly covering the area in which the shot came from.

Rackham quickly turned Sularen's body over to see if he was alive and fortunately he was but there was now a hole on his abdomen and the Grand Overseer was gravely wounded. "Grand Overseer , are you okay?" Rackham asked. Sularen replied but in a weak but angered tone. "Does it look like i'm okay?" the Grand Overseer said in response angered that someone would even try to make an attempt to take his life. "Get me to my shuttle asap. We are compromised." the Captain nodded and quickly detached his cape using it to cover Sularen's wound and hopefully stop any bleeding. Right now the Captain's priority was to get the Grand Overseer away from the Platform. Using the Human crutch method , Captain Hunter and another Guard quickly helped Sularen out of the Central Commmand Center with 2 Guards with their Personal Shields Activated covering the front and back of the trio. Colonel Rackham and 2 other Guards were already rushing for the Shuttle in order to get the Grand Overseer out of there as soon as possible.

As the Crimson Guard helped the now weakened Sularen head towards his Shuttle , Colonel Rackham and the Two Guards reached the Shuttle and quickly contacted the Predator informing them of the situation. "This is Colonel Rackham of the Politorate to the Predator , the Grand Overseer has been shot , i repeat the Grand Overseer has been shot. We require immediate assistance in order to evacuate him to the Predator". However the Predator had it's own issues. The Battlecarrier and it's Escort were suffering from an intense Blind Missile Barrage with some Missles hitting the cloaked vessels revealing their positions , with Ion Shielding activated however the Ships could hold off a sustained bombardment although the prolonged bombardment would slowly drain them from their power.

The Captain of the
Predator , Joe Fisk was quick to response. He had not received any orders from the Grand Overseer but with news of him being injured , it was imperative that they protected him at all costs lest his plans to deal a decisive blow against the Alliance here at Kril'Dor fall apart. "Roger that , Colonel Rackham. Sending Reinforcements now" the Captain then turned to face his bridge crew and gave the order. "Deploy all three squadrons of TIE Enforcers and 10 Squadrons of TIE Advanced to protect the facility an intercept all enemy fighters headed towards it. Deactivate our cloaking devices and have all of the Predator's remaining Fighter Squadrons establish a defensive screen infront of the Fleet. Have all ships remain in defensive positions and await any further orders"

With Sularen Injured and his Forces already under attack by the recentlly-arrived 3rd Expeditionary Squadron , it seemed that Sularen's Plans to decimate the Galactic Alliance here at Kril'Dor were at jeopardy , however hope still remained in the Ranks of Sularen's Men. As long as the Grand Overseer lived and could reach the Predator unharmed , He could soon assume command once more (despite his wound) and lead the Maw Irregular Fleet into victory once more. The Battle here on Kril'Dor had just begun and hopefully the Final Dawn could emerge victorious against the Galactic Alliance and demonstrate their power as a force beyond reckoning.

if they're watching anyways

What could she say?

The Jedi had been discussed many times before on the senate floor, but today felt different. Kaigann felt different. When she'd first spoken to him he'd given the impression of supportive, open, and good, as she expected of a former Jedi Knight. Now he called for their incarceration, their restriction...

Yet how could he not? The attack on his aide and the attacks on other Senators were more than enough motivation. The New Jedi Order seemed almost a double-edged sword, and Fossk was nowhere near as forward with his accusations as Kiyoshi; Epoch's senator was careful not to overstep, always keeping on the right grounds, just as she tried to do. But again her fellows made things slippery.

She couldn't blame them. She couldn't blame Kaigann, or Zaavik, or Ryv.

She missed Ryv the most. No matter how many times he told her she was the good one, the face to the senate, it always seemed like he was the one talking, reaching the ones in here. She wished he were here to explain everything -- explain himself. Now she just felt on the back foot.

After all, what could she say?

That creeping exhaustion from the discussion and nights before might've been what had slowed her down. She felt the rush, the sudden pang of warning in the back of her mind a split second before the blaster bolt was spat towards Senator Fossk. She reached out to the Force, a barrier forming between the Senator and his assailant to prevent another shot, but it seemed one was enough for both the target and attacker, as they both began to slump to the floor.

Her hand dropped, instead moving her pod towards Epoch's. In no time at all she'd leapt into Fossk's pod; her hand began to glow with a dull green light as she moved to heal the wound, or at the very least stall the damage long enough for him to get more help.

"Call an ambulance, quickly," she said, glancing to Fossk's aides.

Had been silently coiled on the Eclipse delegation's pod without a word to another Senator in favor or not of the current debate taking place. There had been moments when he wished he could have interjected though many of his own points had been made already. Sssar looked to the Vice Chancellor as he had brought up earlier that the Special Committee on Force Affairs had purview of the subject at hand. The Senator turned his great head towards his old political ally, Kaito, as he revealed the damages done to him "Thissss debate issss quickly getting interessssting issss it not?" he hissed in a whisper to the protocol droid near him "As you say Senator." it replied dutifully.

As Sssar had been putting together his arguments for the current debate his eyes darted to the orange streak that then went somewhere into one of the senatorial pods. The calls for medical attention and the quickly increasing chaos of the Senate Chamber made it hard to determine where it had come from for the Filithar "Senator for your safety please evacuate the chamber." the protocol droid turned to him and motioned with a metallic arm towards the exit of the pod. Sssar paused then, and within moments saw the moment for what it was. A crucial crossroads. The large serpent turned to towards the interior of the chamber and activated his microphone with a push of his snout then reared back his head.

"Fellow Sssenatorsss do not give in to panic. The Ssssenator Guard will route out the assssssssassssssssin with hasssste. Aid will be rendered to the injured. Remind yoursssselvesss you are the repressssentativessss of a hundred worldssss. Our people live in fear of the events of Cssssilla, the betrayal of leaderssss within, and the brutality of unending galactic war. Let not thissss body become a lenssss for Fear but for Ressssolve. Sssstand with me defiance of thissss evil which hassss breached thissss ssssanctum of democracy." Sssar turned his attention to the Vice Chancellor Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe "It issss in thesssse timessss we look to the pillarssss of our great community for guidance."

Theater at its finest, she thought.

Her Chalactan aide, Soraya, was seated beside the Senator from Arkania, who was only half paying attention at first as the Senate moved into its final order of business for the day. She was more engrossed in the dueling proposals on education reforms from the Senator of Raithal and the Senator of Anaxes. The age old argument between the STEM fields and other curriculum, but she was stirred from her readings as the debate heated up.

Senator Fossk's agenda item was bringing to light some serious issues the Alliance might have with its Jedi, with Fossk, Senator Kiyoshi of Corellia, and Senator Anden, she doubled check the roster, of Eufornsia calling for greater accountability and oversight of the New Jedi Order. Resting her chin in her palm, she merely listened and observed as the two sides of the emerging debate went back and forth. Gray eyes were watching the elderly form of the Senator from Epoch, curious what his game might be. It was almost too overt, she thought, but the evidence from the committee meeting on superweapons couldn't be ignored.

"And yet another proposal for a new committee," she sighed. It wasn't a bad call, of course, and it would postpone any final decision on the relationship between the Alliance and the Jedi until the committee issued recommendations or a piece of legislation to be considered by the greater whole.

Then the blaster shot went off, striking Fossk in the upper torso with a bolt of orange. A shimmering barrier formed almost immediately after, born of the Force, and calls for medical attention were equally met with panic as Senators and their security reacted. Her eyes still didn't leave the pod for Epoch, her mind calculating.

"Did you catch where it came from?" she murmured.

"Dozen levels up, directly across with an excellent vantage point," the Chalactan responded. She leaned forward, contemplating and replaying the rapid event in her mind. Low yield shot judging by color, upper right pectoral... Unless the shock led to a heart attack or he didn't hydrate properly, he would live. "The attempted assassin will likely have spiked themselves as getting out of this building after that would be impossible."

And no doubt, she thought, there would be evidence pointing towards others, and would accelerate the goal Fossk had for even introducing this debate into the Alliance. She had done the same things in the past herself, well similar things. "Theater at its finest," she said out loud.

A shot fired in the distant, it came from the direction that she saw Allyson heading towards last. It was likely Allyson who took the shot, it made sense with everything that was said before the mission truly started so Kat was gripping her gun and holding it at the ready in case she found more opponents and/or targets rushing out of the building where she was. The perimeter was not as tightly secure as Kat could have liked, some spy drones would have done a better job than just Kat on her own. Even hacking into the cameras around the building would have worked but Kat couldn't figure out where to really hack into them and wasn't sure these ones worked. Wasn't exactly the high end of society that they were working at.

People were pouring out of the building, Kat knew one of them had to be the target but she wasn't sure which one would be Allyson's target. Was the guy who was shot or someone else and he took the bullet. Grrrrr, she wished she had checked who the target looked like beforehand but she also should check in on Allyson as she hasn't heard from her and leaving people alive didn't really seem like something she would do. Spreading a full clip of ammo at the enemies as they fled. The hope was to hit someone important and do some significant harm but she was also distracted about making sure her friend was doing okay as well.

Once the clip had emptied, Kat jumped and used the cloaking device to get away. Strapping the gun to her leg, she breathed heavily, it had been a long time since she had done anything like that and the adrenaline was coursing through her body, everything was on edge and high alert currently. But there was something else, something inside that didn't feel as empty as it use to. Shaking her head, Kat raced over to where Allyson had been heading and the meeting point they had agreed to. Thankful that her legs never really tire meant that it didn't really take long for her to reach the location.

"Allyson. Allyson, you okay? I think I spotted the target rushing away and tried getting a shot on them before I came here, are you hurt?" Kat called out in a loud whisper.

The Senate chamber regularly played host to robust debates, and the Vice Chancellor suspected that today’s proceedings would be recounted in years ahead as one of the most decisive.

Clear battle lines were drawn as elected legislators took their sides. Senator Fossk argued that the Senate should help the Jedi find their way back to the light after years of war. Senator Anden raised the risk of radicalism, and the threat it presented to the stability of the Alliance. Senator Kiyoshi called for the Alliance to reevaluate their relationship with the Jedi and their holy war with the Sith in light of their documented attacks on elected officials. Senate Ike moved for a committee to be convened to investigate, a motion supported by Senators Crowder and Tagge.

The arguments between the representatives ceased only when a blaster bolt rang out through the Senate hall, striking Fossk.

Amid the chaos which ensued, Senator Taszzn called for calm and turned to address Tithe and Adhira.

However, they were long gone.

The security measures built into the Chancellor’s podium kicked into action a millisecond after the blaster was fired. Before Tithe even realised what had happened he felt his stomach drop as powerful repulsorlifts build into the podium came to life and glued his feet in place. A shimmering shield engulfed the podium, creating a barrier strong enough to protect a corvette. The purpose of the repulsors became evident when the podium plunged toward the floor and the safety of the holding room beneath, moving faster than the eye could track - without the repulsors, those stationed of the podium would have been thrown free.

Close protection officers standing by in the holding room beneath the Senate chamber grabbed both Tithe and Adhira and hurried them in opposite directions. For security reasons, neither knew the other's escape plan. “Bursar is oscar mike,” explained one of the officers into their comlink as they hurried to a nearby turbolift, installed specially for these type of situations. Command asked if Tithe was the target of the attack. “Negative, Bursar is not TA,” the close protection officer explained.

Tithe and his retinue clambered into the liftcar and were joined by heavily armed Senate commandos. The armoured door close and plunged into the depths of Coruscant, whisking the Vice Chancellor away to safety.

Seeing the man topple over, Allyson aimed down the sight again, ready to take another shot to ensure that he had been terminated. His guards acted quickly, though, blocking her from seeing if Marlon had died or allowed her to take another shot. They moved him, and she attempted to follow, trying to find another sniper's roost before he escaped. The platform's layout denied her that chance, and the man got away, injured but not dead.

Allyson didn't relay the message to M, knowing that their line had been tapped. After this, she would have to try and convince the Director to add some security to the cybernetic. She looked out the window and watched the coward and his men limp towards where they were headed. Not many survived the Corellian, and she wondered if she was losing her touch. It had been several years since she had been given an assassination mission. She was uncertain if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Marlon had gotten away, and the Corellian slumped slightly against the wall as she slung the sniper on her shoulder. She needed a few moments to catch her breath and calm her heart rate. It wasn't the first time she had tried to kill someone, but the aftermath was always the same. She hated it. A voice came through quietly, and Allyson looked up from the ground.

Kat. She had forgotten she had Kat around, and the Corellian pushed off the wall and headed out of the building. She rounded the corner and waved towards Kat as she approached the meeting point.

"Hey, Kat, I'm good - you?"

At first there was a little panic in her chest as she looked around and could not see Allyson around, fear kicked in as she thought of the injuries that could have prevented Allyson from arriving to the meeting point and trying to think of why she didn't get her butt back to Allyson faster and prevent this kind of injury. Just before Kat went jumping around, she heard Allyson call and confirm that she is okay, relief swept over Kat and she could feel the adrenaline coursing through her body so her next action was spurred on by that.

Kat moved towards Allyson, placing her hands on Allyson's next as she kisses deeply. The kiss was different to their previous shared kiss, Kat was more experience and knew what others wanted and what she liked as well. Her hands drop to Allyson's sides and holds her hips as she kisses Allyson again before breaking the kiss and looking at Allyson, her fringe drops over her one eye as she gave a small smile. "So, I am glad that you are okay and doing fine, like I said tried to get a hit on them as they were fleeing but was more focused on checking on you were alive." Kat admitted as she didn't drop her hands not at least till Allyson asked her to.

"Should we get back to my ship?" Kat asked, a little hopeful this kiss goes down better than last time.

Allyson was relieved that Kat was alright. She hadn’t looked at the perimeter properly and didn’t know how many forces Marlon had stationed in the area. With the information not fully understood, the spy could have sent the Echani girl to her death. Though luck was on Allyson’s side, and Kat was alright.

“Di-” Her words were stifled by the younger girl pressing her lips against the spy’s. Allyson’s body stiffened, and her eyes wide. The reaction from Kat was unexpected. While she knew the girl had always had a lingering crush on her, she didn’t think it was something that could have lingered this long. Still, the kiss felt good, especially after what had just happened. To feel human after feeling like a weapon was refreshing.

Slender fingers caressed along Kat’s face, cupping the younger woman’s features pulling her closer. This wasn’t their first kiss, but it was the first one that Allyson had returned with ernest. The moment was brief, and Allyson didn’t let go.

Breathless, she nodded and simply answered the Echani girl. “Yeah, let’s go.”

When Allyson returned Kat's kiss, she could feel her heart racing and things were definitely looking brighter even if the mission hadn't been a total success that Kat had wanted it to be so that she could impress Allyson with her skills. Taking Allyson's hand, she lead the Corellian back towards the ship. She just hoped that M1-NI didn't make a mess of her ship, it would be just her luck if things started going this well and then M1-NI decided to be the total mood killing droid that he can be and stop her chances of finishing this moment. There were things that Kat wanted to say but she also didn't want to say the wrong thing and ruin the moment she was trying to remain silent as possible while looking back at Allyson, unsure if this is another of her dreams that she had.

Returning to the ship, the place looked decent. It wasn't as clean as she had hoped it would be for a guest and the cockpit was a little tight squeeze but nothing new for either of them. "So, urm, where should we go next then?" Kat asked, her voice nervous but excited as she thought about where this would be going.

It's one of life's mysteries, sir...
Location: ANV Pegasus
Objective: II - lead said air support, engage the refinery

Idling around in a pattern wasn't the colonels favourite waste of time in the cockpit, as much as it wasn't anyone elses for that matter. You would quickly learn to be patient in the Academy, though. It would take time for some, but eventually you had to hold your fathiers and direct that energy to prepare for the mission ahead. All the ifs and whens, where and hows. She had been one of those pilots, but with time and the right guidance she had qualified with top degrees.

The deep roar of the powerful ion engines was the only sound that reached into the cockpit, and the comms was silent as the four squadrons held their position at a safe distance from the refinery and the enemy battlecarriers. Colonel Foster looked out of the canopy window. She and Searchlight Leader had formed up as one and was in lead of the squadrons ready to execute from Pegasus command. Foster peered at the enemy positions and thought silently for herself when they were going to advance, because sooner or later they would.

Suddenly, the comms crackled and commodore Kathause's voice broke the silence.

<"Colonel. Change of plans. I'll have a point-defense screen ready to cover you if they send fighters.">

<''Affirmative, commodore. Engaging the refinery.''> she replied shortly, while preparing the T-77s systems to go on the offensive.

<''Searchlight. You and your squadron will follow my lead towards the refinery and attack designated targets.''>

<''Shiver. Regal. I'm counting on you to cover our sixes during the attack. Don't let any of their fighters surprise us from behind. Once we've got confirmation of the hits - everyone are to head towards Pegasus, double-time.''>

With that, the colonel brought the black bird into a sharp banking turn towards the refinery and increased the speed to full throttle. The squadrons following were and impressive sight and a well-trained force dedicated to execute the orders given to them in the name of the Alliance. Once the fighters reached a certain point not too close to the refinery, Shiver Squadron and Regal Squadron broke the formation and started to scan the airspace of hostiles while Foster along with Seachlight Squadrons commenced the attack in high speed and wide formation to decrease the chances of being hit. With primed shields, Foster waited patiently for a lock in the targeting computer before sending the first proton torpedo to hit a large communications dish.

"Coming out of hyperspace in five..." The navigator spoke to the CIC where Lexi was seated, watching the display for the moment real time data started coming in.

"All ready flights show green status." The flight controller spoke into the bare moment of silence.

"...four..." The navigator didn't miss a beat.

"Weapons crews are loaded." Her tactical officer reported from the station on her right.

"...three..."

"Sensors and comms show green." The communications officer this time, the most junior officer in the CIC.

"...two..."

"Reports have hostiles in the near space." Lexi spoke after pressing the all hands stud.

"...one..."

"Be prepared." She wasn't much for speeches, unlike her mother.

"...transiting to real space." The navigator finished, and almost instantly light blossomed from the holo tank being used as the threat status display before her.

"Ready flights away, reserve is suited and prepping." The flight controller reported as the screen filled with little blue dots representing the seventeen squadrons of starfighters set for ready status slipped from their parent ships into space, angling forward to engage the enemy TIE fighters.

"Have the Gunships prep next." Lexi responded before turning to her tactical officer.

"Firing solutions on enemy craft near the refinery" Her tactical officer replied.

"Hold off on firing just yet, be ready to get firing solutions on any enemy capital ships that might enter the system. I haven't heard of anyone using TIEs that doesn't have a wall of battle sitting around nearby." She replied, then looked back to her flight controller. "Have reserve launch when ready, running combat space patrols around our fleet."

Outside in space, Phoenix Fleet spread into a defensive formation. More fighters slipped elegantly from their parent ships and took up patrols around them while the seventeen of the first wave moved to engage the enemy craft near the refinery.

"Reserve flights are out. Gunships moving into launch positions."

"Comms, find me an Alliance commander, we need a sitrep." She ordered after acknowledging the flight controller's response.

"Ahead of you on that one ma'am, opening a channel to ANV Pegasus." The comms officer said over her shoulder. She pressed a few more commands, then turned to Lexi and nodded.

"Pegasus actual this is Argent Dawn actual, requesting a sitrep." She spoke out loud, following regs.

"New sensor contacts, sirs!" One of the younger petty officers called out from behind a console, "Thirteen hostile fighter squadrons approaching our refinery teams. We should have make and models in a few moments."

The commodore's eyes quickly scanned downward to the main display in search of anything of value, until they set on the returning Huntress and Dreamer.

"Have Huntress load up a full barrage of diamond boron missiles, One salvo ahead of the enemy interceptors, take another into their center. Make sure our pilots know what we're doing," She spared the nearby crewman a short few seconds to relay the commands, "Send Dreamer and Armistice One and a half kilometers ahead of us. Get them ready to cover our fighters' escape. Prep a salvo of diamond borons for each, and fire up each point defense grid.

"Aye aye, ma'am. Orders transmitted."

The situation map quickly shined a bright red, accompanied by an electronic chime that signaled an update in sensor readings, before fading into its typical blue tint.

The contents shifted around once more; and in the place of barely-identified red dots, the scanners recognized the makes and models of the freshly-decloaked Brotherhood fleet. Anxiety looming overhead, Liedran began to read over the data. Two Pelleaon Four battlecarriers lay in wait, sitting at the flanks of an Agitator class heavy battlecarrier. Hundreds of thousands of tons worth of warship now reconfigured to intercept anything that approached.

Fighters emerged aswell, minus the interceptors engaging her own attack squadrons, and seemingly took a defensive position around their capital ships. None seemed to approach the 3rd Expeditionary Squadron, however, much to Liedran's own bewilderment.

Both fleets simply watched each other, each safely out of hostile turbolaser range.

In the meantime, the two Sacheen-II frigates-- ANV
Dreamer and Armistice respectively-- began to position themselves in the Alliance air wing's path, sheltered by the nearby swarms of diamond boron missiles, with Huntress having turned her targeting away from the Brotherhood Fleet and to the hostile interceptors instead. And as pulse cannons revved behind armor plating, so did the engines. Each of the two vessels soon maneuvered themselves to let armored broadsides face the encroaching enemy, firing arcs interlacing like the blades of a paper shredder.

Hopefully, it would hold; Long enough for their own fighters to return to the fleet, and long enough for the frigates themselves to retreat. But, if it didn't...

She didn't know what she would do.

Soon passed another half-minute of anxiety-rich watching, Liedran's eyes glued to the data charts, while her ears tuned in to opened comms channels. Waiting; Waiting for the Brotherhood's next moves. Hoping; Hoping and praying that the Alliance casualties would be minimal. The watching soon came to a sharp close, however, with the appearance of a new wave of sensor contacts.

They weren't red.

"Who just jumped in?" The commodore's shoulders tensed for only a moment, before the display flickered again, and let the unidentified contacts shine a bright and welcoming green.

"Phoenix Fleet, ma'am." The comms officer stopped after a brief chime at his console, "Flagship's hailing us. Should I put-"

Liedran cut the petty officer off with a reassuring nod, and drew a comm link from the display console.

"Pegasus actual this is Argent Dawn actual, requesting a sitrep."

"Argent Dawn, this is Pegasus-Actual..." The commodore took another glance at the scanner screens, "We have confirmation of three hostile battlecarriers, one heavy, guarding the refinery. X-wing squadrons have been dispatched, but enemy interceptors are giving chase. I'll have our compiled reports sent your way aswell."

"Try and keep a distance. They have interdiction fields active." Liedran hid the glee in her tone in the midst of her next comment, but ultimately let the relief shine through,

"Glad to have you here, commodore."

KRIL'DOR , MID RIM
Mawite Occupied Platform
Objective | Crush the GADF
Current Forces :

As the Battle began in the skies , the Grand Overseer was quickly rushed to his Shuttle on a nearby Landing Platform where his Guards began treating him. Captain Hunter quickly went to the cockpit where he found a
Med-kit with a Bacta Patch inside. As Captain Hunter took the Med-kit , Colonel Rackham signaled the two pilots of the Shuttle to head towards the Predator. As despite Sularen's Injuries it was necessary for him to take Command of the Fleet in order to properly co-ordinate his forces and annihilate the GADF Task Force. Not to mention this Engagement was critical in Sularen's future plans to re-organize the Maw Irregular Fleet and forge it into a dangerously effective fighting force.

Meanwhile as Sularen's Shuttle left the platform and headed towards the
Predator , the 5 Squadrons of TIE/fd Interceptors came into contact with Shiver and Regal Squadrons as the Final Dawn TIEs and GADF X-Wings and V-Wings began dogfighting beginning the real Battle over the skies of Kril'Dor. As the Interceptors engaged the two GADF Fighter Squadrons , the Cloaked TIE Enforcers instead of engaging Shiver and Regal Squadrons changed their course and headed straight for the Refinery where they intended to ambush Colonel Foster and the GADF Squadron attacking the Refinery. As they destroyed a Communications Dish , the TIE Enforcers soon revealed themselves immediately attacking the right flank of Searchlight Squadrons intending to break their formation and decimate them in the ensuing Dogfight.

As the Battle went on , Captain Fisk watched as Fighters clashed in the skies of Kril'Dor. The Captain was very confident that he could hold off the GADF Strike Force given that their largest ship was a 1.5km Star Defender , nothing compared to the Pellaeon-IVs and the Predator fielded by the Final Dawn. While the GADF had Agility and Quality , the Final Dawn had Quantity and Strength that far outmatched anything the GADF could throw at them. "Captain , we have word that Sularen's Shuttle is headed our way , ETA 7 Minutes." one of the Officers of the bridge said. "Good , keep their Fighters distracted. We need to ensure that Sualren's Shuttle reaches the Predator safe and sound. We cannot risk to lose the Grand Overseer."

The Bridge Officers nodded as they resumed their operations. It was only a few seconds afterwards that one of the officers picked up a signal from Kril'Dor's Orbit. A Second GADF Task Force this time more stronger then the First one. "Captain , we have detected new arrivals in Orbit. 18 Ships in total the largest being an Alliance Starhawk-III and it's seems they have deployed approximately 17 Fighter Squadrons headed our way , most likely to push us back." the Officer said informing the Captain of the new development. Fisk thought for a second thinking about what options he had before finally replying. "Have the Defiance deploy it's entire compliment of Fighters and Interceptors and have them intercept these new Arrivals. Keep them at bay until the Grand Overseer can assume Command of the Task Force."

With that a new swarm of Final Dawn TIE Fighters and Interceptors , 220 Fighters in total left the hangars of one of the Pellaeons and headed straight for the 17 Squadrons headed to intercept the TIEs already engaged with the other Alliance Fighter Squadrons. It was imperative that they held their ground and ensured Sularen's safe arrival on the Predator , the Grand Overseer was critical for this engagement having devised the trap himself. The Final Dawn was already in a vulnerable position with only 3 Ships against approximately 2 to 3 Dozen and unable to spring a trap that required the guidance of the Grand Overseer they could quickly get overwhelmed if Sularen did not assume Command soon enough. But with his Shuttle onroute and the GADF Squadrons already distracted , it seemed that his return was guaranteed. The Battle here at Kril'Dor had just begun and it was far from over.

She was quiet for the first time in her career within the halls of the Senate she said nothing.

She couldn't not yet, she had to be careful on this matter. Her Aunt was a Jedi and Healer, her brother Garith a Jedi, her brother Theo a kashi, then there was her children L Laira Darkhold , Theo, and Bud. She knew her feelings were tilted towards those that could sense the force and be one with it when needed. She knew them only as peace keepers, as protectors to think of a Jedi as a murderer or even capable of it froze her to her seat.

All the words said here were meant to sway and convince.

As Faith tried to convince herself to stay put, a shot rang out from behind her she felt the gloved hands of guards to pull her back she however pushed forward,
"IS ANYONE HURT?" A soft glove curled around her arm, to pull her back.

That was the question...who had made this attempt

He didn't much like Kiyoshi, but he held no true love for the Jedi either. He was, after all, counted among the Lost, abandoning his post as a Jedi for love. But he knew Fossk, the two had been much younger then though and he only knew of Fossk in passing. From his reputation though he knew the man to be good-hearted at least, which was more than he could say about most politicians.

The discussion went on and he could feel the growing unease in his Queen through the Force. Despite having lived through several wars and a Sith occupation he felt that she could be very...naive and trusting, especially when it came to Jedi. But he held his tongue.

It began as the rise of gooseflesh on his arm despite the temperature-controlled suit of powered armor he wore and grew steadily into a wave of dread. He shouted a warning and burst through the doors into the Alderaanian senate pod, nearly bowling over the guard that had been there. His lightsaber erupted white-hot as the blaster bolt sailed through the air and crashed into the elder Jedi. He cursed loudly and turned his gaze to the place where he thought he'd seen the flash in his mind's eye.

He couldn't focus on Fossk. He had his own charge, who as usual, was being difficult with her guards. He pushed the fussing man away, his large form dwarfing the uniformed man. Lightsaber still lit and clade full in armor save his helmet Ike gripped Faith Organa's arm tightly, tighter than the previous man.

"Aye, they're fine, or they will be my Queen. It will take more than a blaster bolt to kill Fossk." He said that, but he felt little conviction. The older Jedi hadn't gotten up yet, though his pod was being retracted and he could already see a senate guard patrol and medics waiting below. "Now quickly, get behind me." It wasn't a suggestion and he tugged her back with a little more force than was probably appropriate for an Alderaaninan Knight, even a Knight Commander. Two more Knights came clattering into the doorway, their blaster carbines at the ready. Despite the moniker, most Alderaanian Knights were not Force Sensitive and preferred to use blasters to blades like Ike. The two snapped a salute.

"The Alderaanian Senate Wing is secure. The shuttle is prepped my Queen." Ike nodded. But he had a feeling his Queen was not about to be whisked away back to Alderaan as was protocol for something like this. He tried his best to give her a look.

"My Queen," he started, his sentence trailing off. He could feel it. The faintest trace of the Dark Side.

Commander Sam "Hunter One" Harkness
Phoenix Fleet Ready Squadrons Commander
(120 Defenders | 72 SS02 X-Wings | 24 Krajilca Interceptors)
"Hunters, we've got tangoes incoming. We have a slight edge in firepower based on initial scans, but they have numbers on us. Fly smart and keep your wings clean." Hunter One, Sam Harkness, told their command. Keeping their wings clean was their code for watching their wing persons. "Krajilca's, I want you to fly up and over, try to draw some away or take them in the rear if they ignore you. X's, you're on the leading edge. Give me a Tri-D arrowhead two deep and scaled." They quickly organized their smaller forces, setting the interceptors to fly fast and hard up and behind the enemy squadrons and get into the dog fights that interceptors excelled at while the X-Wings hit the enemy force head-on in an arrowhead that went to port and starboard as well as up and down from the center point, with a second one behind it shifted so all six squadrons could fire and maneuver as needed.

"Defenders, we are the wall. Get in there and mix it up, do your best to not let them think about anyone else." The Defenders were well-made fighters, not as fast as the interceptors, nor as powerful as the X-Wings, but quite capable. Backing up the X-Wings the way they were gave them a distinct edge in firepower against the larger force of TIEs incoming, and about parity when the specialized interceptors were counted.

  • Interceptors heading up and over the enemy squadrons coming to meet them to try to get behind them or draw off enemy fighters
  • X-Wings leading the main charge into the squadrons, backed up by the Defenders.

"Glad to have you here, commodore."

"Let's show these Imps how bad a mistake they made," Lexi responded, offering a nod to the visual before turning back to her holotank. She left the channel open so they could communicate if needed.

"Ma'am, we've got the battlecruisers on scans now. Firing solutions developing." The tactical officer reported.

"And ready squadrons have engaged an enemy response force." Flight Control reported right after.

"Assign the strike carriers and Corvettes to support the ready fighters," Lexi commanded, splitting off the elements best suited to combatting fighters from her force.

"Aye ma'am, assigning callsign Reaper to Carrier squadron under command of Commander Tockar." Came the reply from Tactical.

"Excellent, form up the Cruisers to screen us as we move towards those battlecruisers. Keep the reserve fighters on CSP, keep the gunships ready for launch. We want to keep them close to the chest until we are closer. Have our frigates shadow the cruisers. Once we are in engagement range, I want them to punch through the line to get between the platforms and the enemy, take the enemy in the rear. Have Radiant Night in our rear with the carriers."

A resounding chorus of replies in the affirmative returned to her as the orders were all carried out and they began to approach the enemy Battlecruisers.

  • Pocket Carriers Tenacity and Defiance along with Corvettes Sorceror, Wizard, Witch, and Warlock assigned to Reaper Squadron and assigned to assist Hunter command.
    • They still have 2 squadrons of Gunships aboard the Pocket Carriers
  • The remaining assets of Phoenix Fleet have formed up with the various Cruisers leading, the Star Defender Radiant Night holding the rear with the larger carriers.
    • All reserve assigned fighter squadrons are continuing to perform a Combat Space Patrol around the remaining assets of Phoenix Fleet.

Commander Tockar, Reaper Actual
Commanding Reaper Squadron from ANV Tenacity

"Confirmed, Reaper Actual out." Tockar toggled the channel closed and took a moment to study the screens around him nodding. He then addressed his people on the bridge. "Grab Defiance, Sorceror, Wizard, Witch, and Warlock into our own tactical net and sync it with the Hunter Squadrons net. Sorceror and Warlock hold the rear, Wizard and Witch take the lead. We'll keep the gunships in ready status until we have engaged the fighters. It looks like Hunter has their interceptors going high. Let us cross below the center line and try to take their fighters from that direction. Once we engage the fighter, launch the gunships to engage their fighters." He knew that gunships weren't as maneuverable as fighters, but held far more firepower. Hopefully, point-blank range would keep the fighters from being able to dodge out of the way.

  • Formed up with two corvettes ahead and two behind, then angled to take the fighters engaging the Phoenix Fleet Ready squadrons (Hunters) from the lower angle.

Faith shrugged off one hand only to be held by another, she looked back at Commander Ikenna Tahj Ikenna Tahj she was prepared to make an argument with him over what she could or would do. But she remembered he was there to protect her and she was not to act like she was as unruly as a wolf cat.

Behind her other snapped to attention following protocols to the letter, she found herself grinding her teeth to keep from saying something she should not. She looked away from the Commander out to where she could see the Senator being taken care of. What was the galaxy coming to not even safe here in the Senate.

Faith stepped back toward the Commander looking up to catch his gaze the look on his face was it his please don't fight me on this look, or was this the I'm prepared for whatever it is you're going to say to me look. They were hard to tell apart, sometimes it was just the hardness of the gaze that told her what he wanted to say.

She would not play at being defiant with him by crossing her arms and stomping a foot, but she would instead softly tell him "I'm not going just yet, unless you can tell me why other than protocol that I should" Her shorter form stood before him looking up as she geared up for a fight of her own. Something however pulled her back towards the balcony, his hand still fixed to her shoulder Faith looked out then back to the Commander.

His look changed for tiny moment his eyes didn't look so hard. What was it? A moments distraction caused by someone or something that she did not see. She turned to look out again...she turned back and stepped closer to him, "Did you see something?"
