ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Swift and Nimble: The TIE/fd advanced lives up to the reputation of it's predecessors with it's incredible speed, lightweight frame, and unparalleled maneuverability. The TIE/fd is capable of performing swift hit and run operations alone or in swarms to overwhelm the enemy with it's swift ability to outrun and outmaneuver their enemies.
  • Seek and Destroy: The TIE/fd advanced surpasses it's predecessors with an impressive payload and the ability to track down targets through hyperspace.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Durability: The TIE/fd advanced suffers from the lightweight design and drawbacks of it's predecessor, having such a swift and efficient fighter design at the cost of it's overall ability to withstand punishment. Deflector shields can only go so far in helping save a vessel from annihilation.
  • Costly: The TIE/fd advanced are costly to replicate, the time and material spent on the creation of such state-of-the-art craft being irreplaceable.
  • Low Squadron Count: Due to the costly price of creating such vessels, only eight fighters are deployed at a time within a squadron in order to reduce wasted inventory and teach pilots that they cannot rely on others.

DESCRIPTION

The TIE/fd advanced was designed and drafted up by engineers at the Epoch Engineering Corporation using the resurrected TIE line once solely belonging to Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems before becoming a galactic stable for Imperial craft during the common era of intergalactic space warfare. Created to serve as the first elite incarnation of a new line of TIE fighter designs to serve the coming reign of the FINAL DAWN, Epoch Engineering ensured the starfighters were capable of serving effectively and were ready for production for the fledgling military junta.
