The ZX-44B System, The Unknown Regions
The experimental vessel, known to some as The Freebird, moved slowly through the black hole protected ZX-44B System. The ship was on a routine patrol for while entry into the system was difficult, it was not impossible. The people of Refuge knew this fact and so did the members of the Farworlds Alliance. However, the Alliance’s recent presence in the system did little favor toward hiding the system’s points of entry, and that imposition would not stop anytime soon, as Refuge only pulled in more refugees in these turbulent times. So the Farworlds Alliance sent the Freebird and the Starlight Squadron on its first paired patrol with two goals. First, to direct any refugees to safety. Second, to route anyone else.
Obj. 1 - The Squadron
Inside of The Freebird, there is a debriefing room. In it, The members of the newly formed Starlight Squadron await assignments for their first mission, but first they have a choice to make. Will they trust the shadowy director and the squadron’s equally shadowy benefactors and fly at the chance to protect the Farworlds Alliance, or do they leave and forgo a chance to join up with the squadron that promises a chance to do good?
Obj. 2 - Operations & Logistics
Whether in The Freebird or Big Bertha, those at the helm watch short and long range scanners on the lookout for refugee and enemy ships entering the system. They’ll help who they can, but when the fighting starts they will deploy the Starlight Squadron and likely let the starfighters handle the more dangerous flying, and all while running support for the squadron on their first outing.
