Fighting for Rubble [New Order Invasion of Dromund Kaas]

"...I must do my part..." His eyes spun with a sort calculative air as he continued. "The Mandalorians are deep in the heat of battle... I've heard rumors of this place and I need it's tokens... He noticed that although Alexandra's voice held no ill emotion, it was utterly serious. "If I die while doing that, so be it... But I need what I came for... Don't try and stop me..."

He'd slowly motion backwards , he would not dare take his eyes off Alexandra. It was obvious when it came to cunning, and over-all power, she was most likely his better. But neither that, nor the threat of death by the hand of the Mandalorians would stop him from attaining some sort of archaic artifact. Even though chances were no such things even existed in this building. But if that was the case, why was he drawn here? It was apparent after a few steps that he intended to leave, and if he was not stopped he would burst into a full on sprint yet again.

The Armtech Hunter Killer drones had continually barraged the area in the wastelands with invisible, harmless IR lasers, seeking a target. It didn't take long before the IR lasers met their mark, allowing the drone to adjust it's flight path. The information transmitted back to the bounty hunter sent her a wealth of information across her datapad, and there, hidden under the CN-15 camo-netting, a pair of binoculars helped her spot the incoming Sith.

With a grim purse of her lips, she set this up for a roll. Within short precision, she went along to guide the rest of the drones towards the direction of two of the Sith [member="Christian Slade"] and [member="Lord Pathollex"].

She didn't need to do much, with them in the heat of battle, what she was about to do next would do just fine. With an effective range of 600 meters, she didn't need to be up close and personal to deal this particular payload. Within mere minutes, the first three would be making their way towards their objective, one from the north, south, and east, utilizing the tiny motor to give them that extra kick of omph for speed, allowing it to propel at 300 mph.

They weren't meant to come up straight up in your face to blow. No, these were mid-range targets. Primed, activated, and count down begins!

Three drones were about to bid the sith a howdy fethin welcome in the form of baradium payloads and shards of deadly shrapnel.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM, BABY!

With a twenty meter radius each, that was a total of sixty meters of carpet baradium shrapnel payload delight!

With two more still on the way. YEAH BABY!

There was pause, Kentarch scanned the area, with his hands still up. He reached and probed the area with the force. It then occurred to him he had missed a minor detail. A sniper had fired a slug round at him, still keeping his hands up he his twist to the right slightly to see where the round had impacted behind him. Again he cursed himself, and looked to out to buildings. He couldn't spot him, even with the force. In that moment of urgency and Kentarch let go of his image, the scout transforming into the black cloaked Sith Lord. Then in the same moment he jumped, arching up and into the fourth story of the building the Mandalorian with the grenade launcher was in. The bullet the sniper fired just missed his leg as leaped up and shielded his face from the windows as he went through the glass and landed in a roll on the fourth story, above the Mandalorian's position.

There was large thud as the Sith Lord landed in a heap on the floor, but quickly Kentarch regained his footing and gave a quick survey of his surroundings. By now they would know what he was, mostly because the sniper had proven to be much of a complication. Him along with the Mando armed with the grenade launcher had successfully thwarted his attempt to hit the forward command center before the majority of the fighting had begun. He reached for his lightsaber, but did not activate it. From where Kentarch was standing in the collapsed building there was no clear shot from the outside, unless the sniper relocated. A bit of a mystery in itself on how the Sith could not find the man. The Mandalorian would have likely have seen and heard him land in the floor above him, which once again made him more of a threat. Kentarch readied to ignite his blade as he eyed the stair well. The man would either come and fight, call reinforcements, or both.

The Sith Lord would wait and find out.

Hunting a wild Ayra

The girl was crafty after all, and used her jetpack to keep up. All the while, Ashelotte didn't even give a moment of pause to look back. Nothing would get in the way of this, not now. Their fates were sealed and Ashe was destined to clash again with [member="Alicia Drey"]. Her attention was suddenly stolen momentarily when [member="Jate Kar'ta"] activated her weapon and gave a heaving jump through the air. Curious, concerned, Ashe traced her movements and kept a steady eye on her, to see what was cause for such alarm. Only looking down to where the girl was descending aimed at, did Ashe see. There was her target - or so she sensed.
A tight fist clenched the claw-laden beskar gauntlet into a ball of angrily grinding platelets. Ashelotte eased her hand and wrapped it firmly around the panhandle of the rotary blaster cannon. Ayra was only about four hundred meters, and Ashe was more than willing to close the distance. While it may not have been the most tactically intelligent thing to do, her heart was filled with rage and vengeance. She sought only to destroy this woman, completely and finally. As soon as she was close, the young vixen placed her thumb down upon the priming button to arm and rotate the system, then the trigger. Three hundred meters and closing. Moving in while the heavy weapon was discharging was less challenging to Ashe in her fit vampiric form, moreso full of lust and hate, than the common grunt. Ashe didn't forget the trigger-happy riflewoman and as soon as she got closer, she'd drop. It would be a matter of rinse and repeat until the foxtress was close enough to lop her pretty little head off or drink her soul.
"Vod," she commanded, "Keep her pinned down but don't attack her, she is mine!!! Crush anyone who stands in my way of her!"
The tone in Ashe's voice, filled with such passion, such fixation and angst, told of just how personal the young Ruksenmih's battle with Ayra was. Sith or Mandalorian, nothing would take this from her.

Letting herself put on her armor own armor. Only to find herself getting her own knee high skin boots on over the left thigh a little bit of a chore. Standing up, only to put on her old rag smuggler cloak of dark brown. Pulling over her should a old leather skin bag inside was different herbs, oil and spices. Along with different seeds of plants she could grow if needed to on the battle field. then came the two long 6 in blade AKK teeth knifes, and eight two inch throwing Akk tooth blades. Finding herself closing her eyes once again only to hear voice of some of the elders what their voice. None less she felt that need to go as [member="Xander Carrick"] back up. Even if she wasn't here as a Sliver jedi healer it didn't mean couldn't help some how. Making sure to block out all the emotions that would come from the battle a head of them.

Today she had on her juggle warrior AKK armor not her robe that would call out that she was a healer. Today she came as a warrior even those it was what taking place with in her. Knowing that there was others ways to deal with sith, but at the same time this might be the way to deal with them with the Mandalorian way. Coming back out as she walked out to him calling, I'm here You know its your faults I couldn't find where my boots got put on the way over here. with a playful wink to him. Only to take a long hard looked at him with a smirking grin this would be the first time he seen him in his armor like this. Nice very Nice wonder... never mind need to be on the battle a head, force knows we are going to need to be ready for anything. Lets get this show on the road.

<Alright, we need to move in, get everything and anything that even LOOKS valuable and get it to a safe location before-> the quick speech of the Mandalorian was interupted by the Baradium bombardment miles away, the sound of the eplosion reaching even out to the Sith complex where much of the relavant anything of the Sith's was stored. Being not only part of MandalMotors and MandalTech's R&D teams, he was also one of a small number of Mandalorians with access to the Force and his people's near unique power he was well qualified to enter these delicate and rather classified texts, bits and bobbles of the old Sith Empire. <We need to move, now.> he said with urgency to the four Ori'ramikad that were with him.

Psychometry.

Sometimes he could control it, other times it came in waves. Often draining. This was one of those times as he was struck by the image of a white haired maiden and a dark pressense. Though the second was harder to identify, as Kaas was in its self a Dark Side Nexus. <Scratch that last order, we need to be there yesterday, double time it people.> The small group of Mandalorians jogged alongside Davin. It wasn't long until they found the two at a stand off. <Who the Karking hell are you?!> the black and blue clad Mandalorian exclaimed in Mando'a. It was then that all but one of his Ori'ramikad escort had been called off on other missions, no doubt by his brother's doing.

Ordo stood and strerched as the Sith began their assault. He reached down and picked up his "boom stick"(link in sig panel) with the aid of the force and tossed the support straps over his shoulders. The tanks and walkers around the city opened fire on the Sith troops. Ordo grabbed the grip of rhe huge auto cannon and began spinning it up to barrel rotation speed. The barrels made a wooshing sound and then became a lound buzz as the barrel reached firing speed. He began walking forward and aimed at the Dropships. Red energy bolts began pouring at the approaching ships. Moments of direct hits lit up tye shields of one ship in the lead and soon bolts broke though tearing holes in transparisteel and durasteel alike. One dropship fell to the ground spouting flames and Ordo turned his fire on the next. The Mandalorian master of physical force applications simply kept his eyes focused as his HUD inside his helmet fed him tactical information.

"Typhoon-class tanks prepare to repell airstrikes" he said calmly as another dropship went down in flames before the Rage of The Shadow Warriors. Dha Werda Verda continued to be hummed as he continued to fire.

...Dak shot, Kentarch jumped and Garrus watched. The Sith Lord moved quickly and as far as the Warrior could see he hadn't been hit by the snipers round. He moved to quickly for Garrus to get a shot off at him with the Grenade Launcher too however Garrus still got a decent look at the man, it helped that he saw him relinquish the image of the scout, and he was inclined to believe that he was either a Sith or Force User aiding the Sith. Regardless Garrus knew how to handle their kind. When Kentarch leapt into the fourth floor of the demolished building Garrus would have lift his head, attempting to track his movement, but the sound of broken glass and the thud of a body hitting the floor above him would have been all that the Mandalorian needed to know...

...where Kentarch was on the fourth floor was entirely unknown but he had landed above Garrus. Maybe he was down on his stomach, maybe he was on his feet and moving; the Mandalorian did not know. He might have activated his thermal imaging again and attempted to reveal the location of the Sith however that might only be a waste of time so Garrus chose to act instead of wait.
"Be ready."...came over the comms but ready for what was never explained...

...Garrus had been backing out of the room, into the stairwell that lead up to the next floor as well as down to the lower levels, and lifting his Mythosaur Grenade Launcher he'd have aimed towards the ceiling of the room he'd just been in. Funny thing about these old buildings being that they just didn't have the structural integrity that they did when they were properly maintained before all the destruction. Aiming the Grenade Launcher upwards Garrus would have muttered...
"Hold on to your boots."...before he squeezed the trigger several times. Every time he squeezed the trigger of the Mythosaur the recoil would have shook his body and diminished his aim but aim wasn't a factor here. He squeezed the trigger three times in quick succession. Three fragmentation grenades filled the third floor room he'd occupied before backing out into the stairwell and then the explosions rocked the structure...

...Garrus was ducking back down the stairwell when it all happened. The explosions caused by three of the fragmentation grenades detonating in short succession of one another in an enclosed space likely would have been enough to rip apart the third floor of the building. Walls would have exploded outwards but more importantly the ceiling the grenades had been aimed at would have collapsed under the explosions raining debris down over everything. Anyone caught in that probably wouldn't be smiling. Even Garrus wasn't safe. All those explosions even caused some of the stairwell walls to blast outwards and the Warrior lost his footing before stumbling down the stairwell and colliding with a wall hard before it turned into the second floor of the building. He grunted and started to right himself but the Heavy Armor he was wearing meant it was mostly his pride that hurt...

...after all was said and done the amount of dust and smoke that filled the area from the combination of explosions and the collapse of the fourth floor down into the third would have been monumental. Garrus couldn't see a thing which is why he switched back to his thermal optics....

Flares erupted on her scope, as Ashelotte opened up with her trade mark move: fire. Perfectly aware that, this time, these shots couldn't be redirected through Soresu or Shien via her Lightsaber, Darth Ayra opted to take a different tactic this time. After all, she had no sprinkler system to save her, this time. Rising up from the ground, kicked up her grenade launcher, by latching her boot underneath it and kicking it up into the air. As she moved, Ayra caught the launcher in her; and then she was off, sprinting across the marsh to avoid being set on fire again. After all, while she did have Ashe's wife as a contact for getting rid of any hindering scars, she didn't feel like going through that type of pain again.

As she ran, an ear deafening explosion. Ayra averted her gaze briefly from the incoming fire projectiles to where she had been stood. "The duffel bag," she thought. "She hit the bag of grenades. That is the source of the explosion." Analysis done, she turned her gaze back to Ashe. She had five grenades in the launcher. Her opening move was to fire enough dye grenades at the vixen to blind her line of fire; then use her WESTAR M5 and it's scope to snipe her down, with the aide of the Force. That couldn't be done now.

Time for Plan B.

Darth Ayra hazarded a guess, as she dodged the incoming fire projectiles. It was well known among the Sith that, those who practiced Sorcery were not known for their ability with the Lightsaber; and the same was switched around when the roles were reversed. Ashe attacked from a distance, that much she knew; and Ayra hadn't met anyone who had bested her in a Lightsaber combat. Not even the infamous Thronebreaker, [member="Mikhail Shorn"], had been comfortable when Ayra had finally managed to close the gap between them both and unleash a flurry of attacks with her Lightsaber, from which she was strongest with now. Ashe had picked a fight with the Blademaster of the New Order. Darth Ayra had in had, not only mere rifles, pistols and grenades in her arsenal, but all Lightsaber forms and their techniques at her disposal. So, she was confident, in an up and close battle with Ashelotte, she would be comfortable in a close quarters duel.

However, the problem was getting close to the vixen; and running like the way Ayra was would eventually tired even her, despite her great physical condition and stamina, thanks for the hours of training she had put in to hone her body and convert it into a physical temple, as Circe Savan had discovered. Lifting her grenade launcher, Ayra fired all five dye grenades in quick succession to the area of field that Ashe was firing from; and she made sure to spread each grenade out, so that a purple line of smoke covered her line of sight. She couldn't fire her pistol, if she couldn't see, right?

The Sith managed to jump out of the way, leaping ridiculously high and outta my line of sight. My eyes tracked toward the sound of distant explosions coming from the Mando's FOB. Crap. I didn't have time to deal with this robed wonder.

"Rally Master Garon, this is Corporal Canton, you've got incoming," I said over the comms. "I have no shot, engaging different target. Over."

Four shots fired and four shots left. I moved slightly and adjusted my aim, dialing in on my scope to get a view of the action near the Mando's prefab base. The stormtrooper platoon assisted by some light armor in the form of AT-STs were makin' a go at the prefab base in what looked like a full on assault. From my position up in the skyscraper I was the next best thing to invisible. I centered the cross hairs around the AT-ST's open eye windows and adjusted the aim for bullet drop and wind factors.

My finger squeezed the trigger smoothly in time with my breath cycle. The sharp report echoed for a bit in the ruined city. I watched the bullet glance off the rim of the AT-ST's cockpit window and burst into a small flame. I kept breathing smoothly, despite feeling the urge to curse. The crew erupted into commotion inside the AT-ST and the thing swung its head, probably looking for the source of the shot. It was a real stupid move.

Crack!

Another round whizzed from the muzzle and took the AT-ST pilot in the chest. The guy collapsed onto the console, body bursting into sudden flames. Smoke started to issue from the AT-ST and its forward movement ceased.

Good enough for me.

New target. Edging my weapon down a bit, I got the crosshairs centered on an infantryman, some stormtrooper. (OOC: that's you, Radon). The rifle bucked against my shoulder as I fired off another round. The 7.62mm hollow slug filled with pyrophoric gel that would ignite on contact hit the sound barrier and kept on going. I noted that I misjudged the range. The bullet dropped and instead of heading for the soldier's chest it would likely impact his legs.

Aedan watched as one of his bolts grazed the man’s robes and he sighed turning on his huds thermal vision so that he could spot the man behind his little hidey hole of a wall. As he shot he calmly actiated his coms and muttered to the crew manning the HAS military shield device. “Activate the shield now.” As he finally located the man behind his cover Aedan leveled his weapon at him and took a deep slow breath firing three times as he felt the weapon kick into the shoulder plate of his armor. This was what he was used to sniping from range and aiming to take your foe down with weapons fire. He could use a lightsaber and various other weapons in close range but he far preferred to be here a mile away from his opponent sending laser fire down range faster than he could possibly move.

After firing those shots Aedan blinked hearing a message incoming and he quickly packed up his Mun’Beviin and his LR3 Mandalorian River gun making his way to the base of the tower where he gathered the troops there and started to jog towards one of the Pre-fab bases set up outside the shield. Once there he confiscated their Tra’galaar shuttles and hopped into one the troops loading up until 2 full Tra’galaar took off. First stop the F.O.B second stop the enemy Artillery that had landed. Activating his com link Aedan calmly sent a message to [member="Ordo"] and [member="Dak Canton"]. “This is Rally Master Miles I am in bound with reinforcements then I need some help if your free Ordo buddy.” With that Aedan walked to the back as they flew just above the ruined sky scrappers Aedan waited a bit until they were within range of the FOB with his Mun’Beviin then he calmly opened the ramp and walked down it giving his men a nod as he waited a moment and then leapt out of the Tra’Galaar as it passed over a sky scrapper reaching out to the force he used it to slow his fall enough that while it still jarred him he didn’t break anything.

With force he could hear the Mandalorian moving about. He did not just hear him, but through the force itself, he could see him. The Mando retreated to the stairwell. Then he could hear even without the force the distinct sounds of the Mandos' Grenade launcher. However the grenades were more to his advantage then an actual threat. The sniper outside was using slug ammo, which Kentarch was unsure how it would react to his lightsaber. Likewise the sniper somehow could evade Kentarch's powerful force sight ability. Kentarch's foot was metaphorically speaking stuck in a bucket, however the grenades and deteriorating conditions of the builds would obscure a sniper's line of sight when they kicked up a dust cloud.

The Sith Lord readied himself, timing the jump perfectly he leaped back out the window he came in, falling as the grenades exploded, kicking up a storm of dust and causing the fourth story to fall onto the third. Concrete and steel strained and collapsed as the structural integrity of the building compromised. A cloud of dust, bits of concrete, and hunks of metal spilled out all over the city streets. Kentarch landed in the street just outside, using the force to soften his impact. Then he summoned the force to protect him form the debris with a barrier, and then as the collapse had ended the Sith moved back into the first story of the building.

He was silent in his approach, his footsteps making no sound. The Sith doubted the Mando would have heard or glimpsed his quick exit. He moved to the stairwell and quietly climbed the steps. As he ascended to the upper-levels he caught sight of the mandalorian, however form the angle no doubt Garrus could see him. Quickly his left arm thrust out, hand clenched in a fist. Telekentically he used the force to choke Garrus. Fueling his power with frustration and anger.

...well this was about to get uncomfortable. It wasn't the first time that Garrus had been forced choked mind you but that didn't really matter. No more sniper help either. As Kentarch ascended the stairwell Garrus would be busy scanning through the cloud of dust and debris with his thermal optics ensuring that no one was coming at him from the remanants of the third and fourth floors that had just collapsed. Satisfied he would turn away. It was then as he turned to move down the stairwell that he would have seen Kentarch ascending the stairs towards him...

...Garrus would begin to lift the Mythosaur Grenade Launcher but he was to slow, the Siths left hand snapped upwards to quickly, and the Mandalorian felt the most uncomfortable pressure clasp him around his throat. An invisible hand. He couldn't breath. He dropped the Grenade Launcher which clattered onto the floor about the stairwell.
"Son of a..."...his voice cut off as his left hand came to his throat as though he were grappling with the invisible hand of his assailant in an effort to take a breath but it was to no avail. Only quick thinking would suffice now...

...his right hand snapped down to the hip holster he wore and Garrus would latch onto the stock of the Vornskr Mark 8 Scattergun there before whipping it up. The Scattergun was semi automatic, firing as fast as Garrus could pull the trigger, and it shot a wide spray that would cover a lot of area in a stairwell like the one Kentarch and the Mandalorian were facing off in now. Without hesitation Garrus squeezed the trigger twice and sent pellets booming out of the barrel towards the Sith hoping that if nothing else it would break his concentration and force him to release his invisible hold over the Mandalorian's throat that was steadily choking him and crushing his neck...

Christian watched curiously as [member="Alicia Drey"] darted from her spot in an attempt to put distance between the spot they were in and the impending blast from [member="Skye Mertaal"]'s attack. "Oh... Well then.", Christian said with a smirk as if the woman had walked out on him during an argument or something of the like. He then turned and looked up into the sky, watching as three drones rushed towards him at an alarming speed, so quick in fact that he might have missed them if his eyes weren't so sharp and he hadn't noticed the alarm in Alicia's movements.

Reaching down to the ground, Christian spoke softly to the wasted and destroyed land beneath him, placing his tattooed palm to the ruined crust as he said, "Naturae elemento invocabo. Oro, vestris, Dromund Kaas." The next moment, shards beneath the ruined crust of the planet rushed up, left and right of Christian Slade, and stretched out over him, overlapping one another and reaching out in all directions. They created a dome of thick, strong stone above him as the explosions rang out above, Baradium burning into the stone as shrapnel rained down only to be repelled or stuck in the rock that protected the Sith Alchemist. The Only the shell layer to the rocks burned away, effectively disintegrating a few inches of it at best. It was one of the strongest defenses that Christian had, and Dromund Kaas was protective of it's Dark children.

Soon the pillars of stone began sinking back into the uprooted crust of Dromund Kaas all around him as he rose up and stepped out across the wastes. He could feel the force pulling him in the direction of life forms out in front of him, and so for the time being he left Alicia to her own work as he pursued his would be killer. Each step he took, he could feel the pulse of a life force washing across the dead wastes all around him. If the area hadn't been scorched and torn asunder, it might have been more difficult to sense, but there was nothing living there anymore, and so, hidden or in plain sight, it would be all too easy for Christian to find this rat.

Reaching out, Christian released a plume of the force that burst out across the wasteland and struck a seemingly harmless hill, but the next second cries erupted from the spot as a young man rolled over and slid across the ruined ground. His helmet had been partially crushed by the blast, but what must have really been painful was his caved in torso armor that was currently cracking ribs and digging into his chest plate. He'd dropped some long range rifle next to him that he could no longer hold for the pain he was feeling, but Christian couldn't tell if this was his attacker. He seemed to be too close to him and he knew he would have noticed a shot fired from that rifle.

The next second, however, as the man slowly suffocated to death, Christian's golden eyes shot a wide glance across the wasteland, another pulse of the force having washed over the land that he was able to feel. He focused his eyes across the open area until he finally found the source of the reoccurring pulse of life([member="Skye Mertaal"]), and though he couldn't see it, he knew it was there. He could feel it, like a heart beat quickening in the dark. Raring back, Christian focused the force to the center of his palm and threw his hand towards the location, hoping that his aim would prove true. When he opened his palm, his fingers spread, and like a cannon the force ruptured out from his very skin, kicking his arm and shoulder back from the sheer power of the concentrated blast of force energy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ember must have felt Vulcanus's presence just as he left the ship with the invasion force, but he would no doubt know exactly where Vulcanus was now (HINT HINT, NUDGE, NUDGE ;) ) The gunship rattled through the atmosphere, the deafening sound of exploding flak being a constant reminder of the battle at hand. The men in the ship with Vulcanus, brave souls of the 501st, were visibly distressed even through their armor. They were the most feared and lethal fighting force the New Order had to offer and they were a living example that no matter how experienced you were, you never got used to being at the mercy of a pilot dropping you through a wall of flak.

Right across from this example of mortal fear, sat a perfect example of a mortal who had the ability to turn that same fear into the most powerful weapon in the galaxy. Vulcanus felt fear of being obliterated just like any other mortal would, but he was channeling it through his body in the form of an all encompassing might that could not be matched. The hate for his enemy, the lust to taste their blood and the calculated rage to see Mandalore burn, all of these emotions were of Vulcanus's own mind and every one of them was being converted to a power unlike any other. Not only that, but he was leeching off of the emotions of every soldier within his immediate area and even the darkside wound from Kaas itself. He sucked it in from all these sources, sending a river of energy rushing through his veins.

"LZ is hot!" the pilot yelled back to the passengers, "get ready to hit the surface now!" she finished, hitting a button on her console that lifted the doors of the gunship high. Vulcanus looked out over the landscape and watched as a seemingly endless rain of New Order ships came thrusting down toward the surface. Flak fire had started to stop now as the gunships were too low and far away to be targets, now it was just a matter of ground forces against ground forces.

As soon as the gunship stopped above a patch of bitter-cold wasteland, Vulcanus leap to the surface and felt a rush of cold air sweep over his body. All around him Gunships stopped for but a fraction of a second to let loose the highly trained members of the 501st, men trained to take on force users and soldiers alike. Barges set down among the growing tide of legionnaire stormtroopers, opening up to reveal the hulking forms of the once Fel AE-STs. There four of these assault walkers in all, accompanied by sixteen AE-RS light walkers, a small army of Nexu-Speeder bikes. As well as a few artillery guns and Imperial Tanks

The wave of warriors and machines of battle began to march towards the Sith city and ruins in the distance. Vulcanus looked to Ayra, making sure that his presence washed over her so that she knew he was there. At the same time, the artillery canons set up their positions and took aim at the city in the distance. The giant machines growled as they aimed their canons at the city, each loaded with the same ammunition used by the Graug Skyfire Mortar Launchers. The shells would explode in the skies above the city and unleash a plasmatic napalm substance that would explode outwards upon impact, much in the same manner as laser flak. The shells would burn down the city in time and have the potential to kill with heat, fire and shrapnel all in one.

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM

The massive pieces of artillery fired a single shell each, throwing the unguided shells at the city. As soon as the unguided rounds reached their mark, they exploded into a flurry of plasmatic fire that rained down across the ruins of Kaas city....

(TD:LR: Vulcanus has landed with a 501st invasion force at Ayra's position and had begun to move in with walkers, tanks and artillery. He has also fired Napalm-like plasma shells into Kaas City.)

(I highly recommend reading the spoiler as I have put down very specific movements and actions therein. The spoiler will contain exactly how many guns are firing at what and other information that I did not put in the novelization to save space. )

The Admiral observed the screen as the Mandalorian ships moved into position and began to fire their main batteries at the "Molten-Fist". Shields shimmered and flared as the Shev opened up fire against it with two broadsides. The Ion cannon shots rattled the shielding of the Xo'Xaan, but the combined assault by 92 turbo-lasers had begun to taken its toll even quicker. The first broadside drained the shields to a quarter, the second took down the shields the rest of the way, some lasers scoring hull damage and sending flickers of plasmatic heat into the cold of space. With the swarm of fighters and bomber incoming, the captain of the "Molten Fist" knew that they couldn't risk having their shields drained so low when they arrived.

In order to save the ship, the captain ordered all power from engines be diverted to shields until the generator could recharge fully. Just like that, the shield rose back up to full power, but the ship was dead in space and could no longer move. As the bombers and fighters moved in, the captain had no choice but to rely on his port-side guns as he ship could not move to fire all batteries. The point defense began to track the smaller ships as they moved in, firing as soon as they were within range. At the same time, multiple capital guns began to fire at the Shev'la and the long range weaponry targeted one of the battleships of Basaba's fleet.

Meanwhile, on the bridge of the "Malevolant Spirit" the admiral was just getting word of the exact situation. "Admiral! The enemy has dispatched fighters and drained the shields of the Molten Fist!"

"Is the ship still intact?" the Admiral questioned with a calm swiftness

"Aye, but she has diverted all engine power to shields and is about to be swarmed by enemy small craft" the captain notified, giving a worried glance back to the screen he manned for the ship.

"Bring the Hellfire into position above the Molten Fist, I want all of her guns ready to take on those fighters."

"Aye sir and what of the rest of the Mandalorian fleet?" the captain said worriedly, looking back to the screen that depicted camera footage and radar bleeps of the enemy fleet.

"Bring the rest of the fleet to bare with the enemy, launch all bombers and keep the fighters back for screening. Make sure each ship has a target and fire all batteries!" the admiral commanded, pointing a long and gloved finger at the Mandalorian enemy that seemed to scurry from his guns like rodents. The "Malevolent Spirit" and its accompanying ships were still too far away to open fire on Larraq's fleet with standard weaponry, but the long range guns couold still do some damage. Meanwhile, the rest of fleet began to position itself in varying position above the orbit of Dromund Kaas and aiming their guns at the incoming fleets.

The void of space was lit up like hellfire, cylinders of energy zipping across the cold darkness and towards the fleets that were marked for death. Assault missiles coursed through the air and were on direct trajectory to wreck havoc on Basaba's fleet of ships....

(Once again recommends you look at the spoiler...its pretty much a must)

Marrik saw the shot ricochet off the ground, and the Sith charge around a corner. Marrik pulled a Forcebreaker grenade, cooking it a moment so it goes off just after reaching the alleyway. He threw it hard at the opposite wall of the alley so it would bounce into the Sith's face as it went off. Being a gas grenade, it wouldn't kill the man, but the gas inside would definitely make the fight more interesting. He drew an energy arrow and braced against the wall nearest the alley. Waiting for the Sith to come running out of the gas.

Alexandra Cinthra
"Don't do this.." The hilt that danced from his waist strap was willed into his hand. His tucked thumb struck the switch that was grafted into the center of his blade. A crimson cylinder extended from the emitter.
His eyes settled over her form. Her eyes contained genuine concern, perhaps it was for her sake, but he doubted such.. It was for him..
Nonetheless he had fallen to a level so low, even someone of her caliber couldn't restore his soul...
And yet, vestiges of humanity still lingered..
A residual short-coming of his time with his previous master...
She was strong, but not as strong as his master, no....
He would resist, for he didn't tolerate failure.
He'd angle his blade towards Alexandra, drawing his left leg back he'd tilt it to his right, while his right leg was drawn forward and was parallel to the ground. His bones snapped in anticipation as he donned Makashi.
"You will not stop me, you will not contain me... I am strong..."
He'd wait for the first strike.

Aboard the Chimaera
High Orbit, Dromund Kaas

King Arcis sat upon his little command chair/throne/whatever on the bridge of his Star Destroyer. His red-skinned hands held firmly to the handle of a little cup, filled to the brim with hot tea. The steam from it cleared his sinuses and he gently rose it to his tendril-covered mouth, sipping delicately. Before him sat a multitude of command screens, helmet feeds of stormtroopers, and various informational reports from HUDs and sensor relays. Sat snugly in the comfort of his cloaked vessel, the Sith King took thanks in the fact that he didn't have to relentlessly follow these boring routines of warfare. Politics was more of his thing nowadays, and much of his military experience was past. Not too many engagements had happened lately and his bones were sore.

He needed to stretch.

War was fun. Politics were boring.

War was routine.
