"Move into position." Basaba looked on while they continued to gear up and she sent one of her men to the Yaim'la for the plasma cutters. With a grin the enemy fleet came into view as she spoke. "When we have a clear view broadside them and move to rejoin the fleet." A look at the men as she activated the camo on her armor and grabbed the plasma cutter and the sounds went away. The fleet joining Larraq began to open fire sending fighters and targeting engines. The Shev'la moved and opened with a broadside as it closed in on the Imperius as the airlock doors opened and Basaba shot out towards the Xo'xann with her active camo and sensor distorting activated. The mandalorian field Marshall spoke over the headset. "Marshall Monroe there should be an opening on your side in ten... nine... eight." THe countdown went while the Shev'la opened a second broadside towards the Molten Fist and [member="Djonas Vile"].

Rygel Larraq watched the forward holodisplay as a rough overlay of the system slowly zeroed in on Dromund Kaas. So far, they were only detecting the planet itself. Sipping his tea, Larraq patiently waited for the powerful sensors of the twin frigates to disclose the truth of the matter. Per his instructions, both ships were diverting maximum power and processing capabilities into their various sensors and transmitting the raw data to the Skira. In conjunction with the two frigates, the powerful H.I.V.E. processors of the Skira worked overtime to make sense of the data collected by the sensors. Various electronic, magnetic, and gravimetric reading were coming in that indicated a number of large objects being near the planet, but so far there was nothing substantial.

Larraq wanted to be cautious here. The Sith had surprised him before with a massive fleet arriving from seemingly nowhere. That same Sith had been captured by the Mandalorians in the past and then escaped with the assistance of a number of terrorist parties. And with the recent attack on Coruscant by Sith on the other end of the galaxy, Larraq had no intention of leading his men into a trap.

Unfortunately, Larraq might not have the time to waste being cautious. And he wasn't about to sit on his hands while his brothers and sisters struggled to withstand an extended orbital bombardment. He had to find the balance between taking action and adequately preparing.

Tea cup momentarily resting upon the armrest of his command chair, Rygel Larraq tried to make sense of the data being processed. Orbital bodies, mass overlays, relative velocities, background radiation, and a whole mess of electronic signals. The Skira and her processor core were designed to take numerous sensor reading and compare them with each other to triangulate the exact position of hostile forces. But at the kind of ranges he was attempting, it was nearly unheard of to receive accurate telemetry.

Clenching his jaw, Larraq glared at his datapad. He was confident that his ships were capable of this. He just needed to give them a boost. He needed another point of reference.

“Comm officer. Get in contact with the closest Shokita Station. Have them relay a transmission to whatever is left in orbit at Dromund Kaas. I want a full sit-rep and as much telemetry as they can safely send us on an encrypted channel.” Larraq said as he put down the datapad and began scratching behind Talyn's ears with his left hand, tea cup held against his lips with his right.

If he got any useful data from whatever forces were left in orbit, he could know exactly what the enemy had, and where, within minutes.

Alexandra sighed as she saw many faces she knew, it would be interesting to fight some of them later, but for now she checked the data transfer, seventy percent done, thirty to go. With that assured she started onto the next phase of ensuring the Sith never got their hands on anything that would lead to their recovery of their history, she had already spent weeks recording and studying the items, all of which was being transferred to the datacore. But to ensure only the Mandalorians retained this knowledge, she started lining the room with thermal detonators and a trigger wire that would destroy everything in the building without fail, until she was done though the download continued and so did her glancing at the videos to see who else was with the Sith or Mandalorians.

LOCATION: FIVE KILOMETERS FROM MANDO COP (Command outpost)
OBJECTIVE: PUSH FORWARD AND SECURE

Laying back in the now dark depressing swamp since the writer was given some misinformation on terrain and that was now fixed. Holding his friends body as he lay back on a large pile of dirt tears still streamed down his face holding the hand of his buddy from boot camp. "We are going to get you out of here, you're not dying on me." With his helmet off the junior lance corporal looked up at the bleak dark sky before looking back down at his friend. This was Radon's first combat deployment. He had never killed a man much less fired his rifle at another living being. And he certainly had never lost a friend. So he sat there sobbing and holding him until a rustle could be heard from the dense brush.

Coming out of the trees was his squad, the remainder of the people he held close. "Radon." A female voice said, the same one from aboard the ship in their prayer circle. "He's gone Radon, we have to move." Walking over to him the grime covered trooper known as Erica brushed Radon's cheek gently. "We won't leave him here. We'll come back for him I promise." Looking at the other ten people in the squad radon nodded and set his friend down. "Okay." He said grabbing the Z6 Rotary cannon Kevin had jumped with. It was in decent shape and it was still operational. Picking it up radon nodded and slapped his helmet back on. It was time to push forward into the breach.

"Push!" Moving forward through the brush Radon and his squad linked up with a few AT-STs and began the three mile fast march to the mandos base. They had crashed far from their target and they were not the only ones there. All around the mando base storm troopers and other various walkers and light armor began to pound the base's shields. Radon was a good distance away and only half a mile out of the target. However he would be linking up with a few other units should they be out there with his squad. [Trioc]

In Darkness I Thrive
"I will indeed...", Christian whispered, returning the woman's attention to him with a confident glance. She was becoming something important to him, though in what way he could not quite tell. The bonds of friendship were often tested by attraction, and he couldn't tell what they were. What he did know, however, was that they were close. Very close...

---

Christian strode down the lowered ramp behind [member="Alicia Drey"] with a cold, emotionless look upon his face as his golden eyes watched the woman. He looked on, standing and glaring out over the wasteland that had been created by past war and saw that the planet had much less to offer than it had before. Still, it was a conductor of dark side energy, and to be on the very crust of the planet was to feel the fumes of the dark side rising from the inherently evil planet. It was soothing to him, but to others of good nature, to those with pure hearts, to Jedi, it would be a stifling and bothersome tickle in the back of their throat. It would constantly play at their emotions and toy with their minds like a specter playing games from beyond the realm of the living.

"We should find Mandalorians to kill. I rather dislike killing from a distance when I could kill with my bare hands.", he admitted, watching the woman line up her shot on a target she'd already picked out and falling silent for the moments after so that she could concentrate.

Jate gingerly began taking things out of the crate. She took out some netting and stuffed items that seemed light enough to allow her to continue the use of her jump pack. Grenades, ammo, a few blasters, and assorted light armor were all she stuffed into a bag when she heard Ashelotte snarl. Jate instantly looked up but found that the source wasn't her. The youthful vixen was looking off into the distance somewhere that the Mandalorian couldn't see. Jate got the bad sense that this being was a Force User. Oh great. Stuck with one of the mystic mob, she thought though deep inside her Jate knew that they needed the strange foxy lady. Ashelotte then said she had no time for this and told her to keep up if she wanted to help before dashing away with large bit of gear with her.

Jate simply watched for a minute then gave a slight humph. Can she keep up? Of course she can. She had a jump pack after all. Toting a bag of gear in one hand leaving the other free, the fiery blonde ran after Ashelotte. After gaining some momentum Jate fired her jump pack, tossing her a few feet into the air. Once her sudden speed began to dwindle, she landed on the ground keeping her momentum going before she fired her jump pack again. It was effective and soon she caught up with the white tailed vixen. As they kept going Jate saw some figures in the distance, most likely the cause of Ashelotte's sudden rush. Jate batted her right gauntlet on her side to activate her dormant Gunner's Gauntlet. It fully extended in all of it's brilliant yellow glory. She punched up into the air as she launched herself higher than previous jumps. When she brought her fist back she loaded the rifle round in her gauntlet. From her higher perspective she could see one of then lining up a shot on them. Aiming a fist at them, she fired a slugthrower round of her own. It wasn't much of an aimed shot for its purpose was to disrupt, not necessarily kill.

Orange scarf flapping behind her, Jate landed back on the ground and continued to charge toward their target.

Darth Kentarch moved with all haste, his movements efficient and his attention focused, the more he pressed into the Mandalorian lines. Ahead a few clicks, he believed he could sense their forward command base. The Sith Lord passed down another alley the and sprinting at solid pace, his target closing- There it was, a warning, a reflex to his senses. He almost sensed it too late, the grenades came reeling in with frightening speed. Kentarch dived behind some rubble and telekentically summoned a barrier around himself to stop the explosion.

The Sith Lord exhaled sharply, the shrapnel stopped by his force barrier. "Careless." He realized the Mandalorians were likely using several detection methods include sound, biological, and thermals to locate and identify the first wave of Sith forces. Kentarch should have known this out of common sense, and paid more attention to his surroundings. Now instead he was lying behind a collapsed wall in a street. For now the smoke and rubble would hide him from his enemy's line of site and any. Soon however they would get a batter vantage point and pin his location.

He spun so he was sitting with his back against the rubble. He analyzed his situation, no back up, Mandalorians with heavy weapons firing upon him. He sensed several other soldiers nearby, which Kentarch assumed they were mandos as well. He realized that they have yet to stake him as a Sith Lord, or a force user for the matter. And if they did it would result in drawing more soldiers and armed response to his location. That was unwanted attention, and Kentarch hated unwanted attention.

"OKAY!" There was a shout from the behind rubble. "YOU GOT ME!" A man shouted. Standing out from behind the rubble a black uniformed New Order soldier came with his hands up. Yet it was really Kentarch, using alter image to make himself look like a common soldier, his patch on his shoulder would identify him as a scout. "I surrender!" He was banking they would not fire upon him like this.

The perimeter walkers' turrets lit up the sky as they targeted and fired on the incoming Sith forces. The sparse number of troopers that had made it down so far made it easy for the Legionnaires to pin them down. The Lt of the Legion ran the show in Marrik's absence.

Fire team Bravo, sector three, fire all. Incoming walkers sector five, Lancer unit 2 respond. Keep up on the left flank, I need Forcebreakers on it now.

Marrik watched as the man somehow dodged his arrows, then responded with fire spouts. Marrik rolled to the left then flipped over to the right, then slid under the next, firing arrows as he did. As soon as he cleared the fire, he ran at the pyromancer with a burst of incredible speed aided by the Force. He aimed to close the distance to utilized his combat skills.

The Sith Predator's baleful gaze watched the land closely, searching desperately to find a target to rip into. His blood-lust was steadily building, a thirst only to be quenched by Mandalorian blood. Dromund Kaas would soon be satisfied to consume the dead that would rot on its very soil. "No survivors." his distorted voice snapped commandingly as he walked down the ramp, halting for a moment to further investigate the surrounding area. His index finger twitched subtly, his breathing becoming shallow as his predatory nature kicked in. His vision switched to thermal with the blink of an eye, spotting a hidden gunner just behind a distant rock.

The Sith Predator crouched low, suddenly bursting into a wicked sprint, his speed would be almost impossibly surreal as he seemed to vanish due to Force Speed. His cybernetics and internal enhancements had a part in his physical maneuverability as well, causing him to be quite unpredictable in his movements. The Mandalorian fodder sprang from behind the rock, not being so blind nor deaf himself to the advancing murderer that wanted nothing more than to see his spine ripped from his body. The light of a repeating blaster flashed rhythmically, the pulsating cannon spraying bolts indefinitely.

Pathollex continued his advancement, swatting each round away like a measly insect. He soon stood face-to-face with the Mandalorian whom then attempted a hand-to-hand retaliation to save his hide, throwing a punch straight for the helmet of the Sith only to have it severed and to fall to the ground. The fool-hardy grunt wailed in pain, falling back and trying to scurry away or call reinforcements- it mattered not, Pathollex didn't really focus on his spastic motions of desperation as he stepped forward and grabbed the squirming worm by his throat, digging his gauntlet into it as he listened to the gurgling anguish of his enemy. He then activated the razor-sharp blades from with then fingertips of his gauntlets, digging into the Mandalorian's flesh with ease, squeezing harder and finally ripping out the throat, allowing the body to drop into a bloodied mess.

Pathollex held the throat in his hand, observing it and relishing the moment before tossing it next to the corpse. Moving on to find his next prey.

Aedan opened his eyes as reports started to flood in and he actually sat up leaning against the wall as he looked out the window activating the hud in his Aliit’gam so that he could see clearly as what appeared to be dropships rained down he calmly pressed a button switching his com channel to that of the AA platforms muttering calmly. “This is Rally Master Miles I want all AA platforms to light up the skies now we have incoming enemy dropships.” Switching channels again he contacted the long range support and [member="Marrik Aloxum"]. “Marrik I want your group ready to fire volleys at wherever those dropships touch down if we get the soldiers great if we get their dropships even better trap them here for us to take.” Switching channels to the general ground forces channel he actually stood up and in a clear voice that made its way to all Mandalorian troops he calmly stated. “Right now, you've got your weapons in hand. You dropped down, ready to risk your lives in the name of the Mandolorians. But do you have the guts to fight these Sith? I know you do. As your Rally Master, it's my job to see how much guts you have. How willing you are to band together as brothers, and sisters, and kneel down in this ancient Sith dirt, aim your sights on their scrawny Force using butts, and snipe their filthy hides off this planet for good. You know what? I think you have just enough guts to do so. I think that you have just enough guts to band together and kick some Sith ass! Now, whose got the guts to win this fight?!” He smirked as he heard a chorus of we do over the coms and then saw the soldiers take off sprinting to their positions if they had not already been in position. The mine fields that had been laid earlier were activated creating an attempt at slowing the Sith down.

The soldiers all took cover along the main routes en masse while smaller groups moved to vital cross roads that lead towards the heart of the city and the Sith Palace. Aedan looked out over the ground below and smirked grimly as he held up his left arm clenching the fist as he tested its reaction times. He had recently required a replacement from Nyos it was stronger and more durable but it was still suspectiable to Lightsabers. With a sigh he looked out into the area and noticed something some fool was throwing fire around. With a smirk Aedan laid down once more taking his anti-material rifle he swapped the slugs out for energy cells and quickly took aim taking a deep slow breath he watched and then when releasing his breath he fired off three shots from the Mun’Beviin anti-material rifle feeling the familiar kick against his shoulder. He tracked forward as he saw him walking each shot moving slightly ahead of the others. The first few shots were almost warnings they wouldn’t give away his exact position but this weapon firing at someone would be sure to distract if not startle them.

The gunships ripped through the dust in the planet's sky, far outside of Kaas City's limits, evading most, if not all, of the AA fire due to the distance and dust above. "Alright. Everyone get locked and loaded." At least 20 gunships came down along with Djonas', each one carrying a max capacity of troops. Soon after the troops landed, the armored support had arrived. The Tolmaloks were set up before anything to ensure any airstrikes on the artillery unit would be futile. Next would be the Pounders in order to begin the artillery barrage. "Fire when ready." Djonas commanded.

"Listen up. All Imperial forces that have somehow made dit into Kaas City are warned, the Artillery barrage is coming. Firing danger close on high-priority targets. I suggest you find cover." Djonas radioed in to all Sith forces on the ground. He was given orders to hit them hard and soften them up for when he planned to move in, and he do just that. Meanwhile, the rest of Djonas' "care package" had been offloaded onto the surface and were prepared to strike. The MATs immediately began burrowing underground and got into position to strike the Mandos from beneath them. The MATs remained just outside of the city until the order was given to attack. The tanks stayed behind until the push began. The first targets would be the fancy schmancy AA propped up by the Mandos.

The once blue skies were painted in speckles of black and white. Encompassing rings of fire bounded through the chasms of various ships. Men flew out of these flying vehicles. Each one that fell was met with the uncompromising fury of gravity. It seemed the prime target of the guns the Mandalorian had amassed were heat seeking missiles aimed at the port that contained the empires fuselage.

The result, a tempest of flame that made the air above hot. Even as he entered Dromund Kaas's atmosphere he could feel the erroneous clamor of war. Men screamed in agony as they were maimed or one of their comrades had been slain. Just about where his ship came down he could see the dismembered heads of a duo that seemingly made their last stand.

"This is death.."
The wind that spiraled above sung a hymn of melancholy. A sort of dynamic sadness that even the most oblivious observer could understand.
"This is war.."

A slight ascension of his gaze merited him with the sight of men clad in imperial armor rappelling down a building with their dura-cables attached which kept them from falling to their inevitable deaths.

He was sure that he was the only one in the battlefield that felt for both side. Man and woman fought for their convictions, even to the death.... His thoughts were broken, he felt a similar signature dancing through the air. There it was, a massive facade, broken by time and wear, yet seemingly intact. It had the Victorian allure that the Sith held in such high regard. Mosaic window panes shimmered freely, even under the dismal cloud of ash that hung like an omnipotent curtain.

It drew him... Step by step he grew closer, step by step... The familiarity grew closer.
The ground cracked before his feet, he noticed a vortex of fire encircle his person. Fragmented debris ricocheted off of his ship causing an intricate array of cascading metal that threatened to rip him to shreds. He was forced into great strides, his strong legs propelled him through the flames and debris. His agile frame allowed him to elude death once more. But what dangers did this Sith temple have in store? Only time would tell.

"Not buying it," I whispered over the comm.

The guy had just survived a grenade explosion as well as a sniper round. Somethin' weird was goin' on here and weird in my book usually equates to Force Users and given who we were fighting it was pretty reasonable to assume exactly what type of opponent we were facing. I deactivated my thermal vision. The officer didn't appear to be wearing much armor, if any. despite being a little under half a mile away and sitting up in a burnt out skyscraper, I could get a visual on the hostile. It looked like his mouth was moving, but I was too far away to hear the words. His hands were up in the universal sign of surrender.

I still didn't buy it.

Currently, the hostile faced the Mando's position, with his side to me. The targeting reticle circled around his upper ribs. I had a pretty clear killshot. Just had to make it count. Suddenly, my Mando ally radioed across the comms asking for a leg shot. Yeah. Yeah I could do that.

"Copy, firing."

I waited for my breathing cycle to come around, then squeezed the trigger as I inhaled. The large caliber bullet filled with pyrophoric gels that would ignite on contact sped off straight for the guy's right thigh at well over 3,000 feet per second. By the time he heard the rifle's report it would be too late.

"[member="Maleus"] you karking Moron, why are you here..." She looked backed at the relics and cursed, disconnecting and pocketing the datacore containing all her research and the audio and video records of her work on researching the fauna and flora of the planet as well as the relics she had been privileged to study. Once done she grabbed her sabers and headed to the turbo lift and took it up to the ground floor.

From there she nods to the soldiers in the way and showed her ID as she left the scene before moving immediately to cut off the direction Maleus had been heading in, if this moron was here she knew who else was to, and Ferus was going to pay for putting her friend in more danger than before. She would capture Maleus and make sure he was removed from Sith influence if it was the last thing she did on this planet, she would not see some trigger happy Mandalorian kill him.

She made sure though to grab her armor, though before she went and connected back into the camera feeds, scanning over them to keep track of where Maleus was and where he was heading so that she could cut him off. She would also make her aura clear as day, a warning for him and also a beacon incase he would turn in the same direction she was coming from, otherwise she would have to chase him.

...Garrus had also been careless. When the fragmentation grenades he'd fired had exploded it rendered his thermal optics useless for a short amount of time, essentially blinding him and forcing him to switch his helm optics back to their regular designation of vision which still allowed for zoom capabilities. Grunting once the Warrior would shake his head while steadying the Mythosaur in the direction where the explosions had occurred creating more rubble and structural damage to already destroyed buildings and roads. He really had no idea if he or the sniper, Dak Canton, had hit their target which caused his voice to invade the local comms again..."Any sign of the target?"...though the question would have soon answered itself when shouting was heard from behind the rubble...

...instinctively Garrus raised the Mythosaur Grenade Launcher, his other weapons were essentially close range, and took aim in the direction of the rubble, scanning it slowly until the man came up from behind the rubble with hands raised dressed as a New Order Soldier, where he'd eventually see his target. Up on the third level of a ruined building looking out of a breach in the building Garrus wasn't entirely sure the man could even see him, he wasn't calling back to the scout to reveal his location, however he would contact his ally again..."
I have eyes on the target coming out from behind the rubble. Looks like a scout."...that said there were some issues with this...

...key among the issues being that Garrus had only spotted one man, he wasn't sure if there were others out there yet though the sounds of battle and artillery in the distance made it completely possible, and that the Warrior had no desire to climb down out of the building and into the open where he could be set upon by anyone. He wasn't stupid but Garrus wasn't a completely cold blooded killer either. Use him was the first thing that came to mind which is why...

...
"Put one in his leg."...if they wounded the man his screams might draw out more of the enemy, if there was anyone nearby, which could funnel troops into a real killzone for the Warrior and his friend in high places. Lifting the Grenade Launcher ever so slightly Garrus would have activated his voice amplifier so that he could call out across the distance without making himself overly exposed..."Remain still! Men are coming to apprehend you!"...a complete lie at this point but the reality was that if no other enemy forces came out after the trap was set interrogating this scout might be worthwhile. Lets see what happens...

The inner sanctum was riddled with dust. Though it could have been attributed to the recent shelling, or perhaps it was negligence, but that was nay important. "Let's s-" A bright light was made manifest in his peripherals. Having known the sensation he'd dash into a full sprint. Whilst he did this he will his saber into his hands. He struck the switch with the base of his thumb causing the blade to ignite in a fiery crimson.

He'd slash viciously at the conjoining walls causing them to cave in on themselves. This tactic of generating obstacles was to slow Alexandra down. Though, he knew it would be a temporary remedy. As he reached the temples Atrium he could see the dais which upheld the throne room in all it's glory. He had no time to reminisce on the sight for he was being tracked, and he knew it.

Continuing his run he'd come across another window pane. He'd extend his organic appendages in front of him allowing his palm to come forth. A condensed wall of energy spun from his digits and into the nearby window. Glass was kicked up with haphazard regard, nonetheless he'd spiral through the frame with a seasoned grace. He shifts his weight into the balls of his feet using his knees to cushion the opposing forces. Eventually the vestiges of kinetic energy was evenly distributed back into the ground.

He was in yet another room. He couldn't understand where he was headed, or where he was going. "Something is here.."

Alexandra immediately felt the difference and sighed before bursting into a full run and navigating through the halls, following his trace and stupidly he left physical evidence of which way he had gone. And the way in which she encountered these barriers was simple, a burst of energy at their center and already weakened points as she chased the Sith. Soon though she found her enemy and dashed out of the same window that [member="Maleus"] had, landing behind him and her visor sliding off to the side so that she is able to look in his eyes and he to see her.

"What, are you doing here you damn Moron, you better leave before i cart you off to a cell to teach you a lesson."
