    • Hybrid Modules
      • Particle Beam - Considered to be the standard firing module, this module deals damage in much the same way as a typical scatterblaster pistol, via sheer energy output. However, it should be noted that the discharged bolts have an explosive effect upon connecting with a target.
      • Solarized Particle Beam - Capable of melting durasteel plating and setting targets alight, this module deals damage by superheating the target and ideally, incinerating them. It is also capable of bypassing conventional deflector shields.
      • Ion Particle Beam - Fires a spray of ionized particles that are effective against electronics and can feasibly overload shields. Often utilized when a target is needed alive, but might also be deployed to drain shields before finishing the target off via another firing module.
      • Sonic Particle Beam - Derived from ancient Geonosian designs, the sonic module fires a spray of bolts composed of condensed sonic energy, each of which is sheathed by a volatile plasma containment field. Upon impact, the field collapses, unleashing a potentially lethal burst of sonic energy that can rupture organs or even cause targets to explode outright.
      • Cryogenic Particle Beam - Fires a spray of ultra-cold particles, frozen to ultra-cold temperatures via cryogenized gas. Bolts are capable of flash-freezing and potentially shattering targets or alternatively, causing severe cold injuries.
    • Adjustable Angle, Cone, and Spread of Discharge - In general, a wider spread or cone of fire gives a lower range, while a more focused spread allows a slightly longer one in exchange for a narrower blast radius.
  • Control Systems
    • Motion Interface Functionality - Also Compatible with Equivalent Aftermarket NI or MMI Systems, Secure Technopathy, Blink / Voice Commands, and Droid Interface Systems
  • Power Systems
  • Utility and Safety Systems
STRENGTHS
  • Versatility - A hybrid weapon, the FAE/W-11 can be switched on the fly from one firing module to the other, allowing the user to choose the best option for the situation. Alternatively, the governing computer brain might select or recommend the best module for the situation, upon analyzing a host of factors and conditions.
  • Extreme Power - Falling within the same class as a heavy scatter pistol, while it is not a disruptor, the FAE/W-11 has horrifically lethal damage potential, with explosive results upon impact. In addition, the weapon’s blast radius can be adjusted to potentially strike multiple enemies in a single blast, albeit at the expense of range. Under ideal conditions, the FAE/W-11 is capable of downing targets up to and including light vehicles. As such, its energy output is enough to conceivably overcome many types of conventional defenses.
WEAKNESSES
  • Fortune Teller - If the weapon is fired with a misaligned prismatic crystal, the risk of an explosive outcome is somewhat high, likely ending with the weapon going off in the wielder’s hand to potentially catastrophic effect in the event that they attempt to fire it in spite of the damage.
  • Mechu-deru - Like any piece of technology, the FAE/W-11 is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a jam or some other mechanical failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the shooter vulnerable.
  • Shotgun - While it almost goes without saying, the FAE/W-11 is for all intents and purposes an energy shotgun. As such, it is a close range weapon. Users are compelled to close with a target in order to get the most out of it. Unfortunately, doing so can often leave them exposed to incoming fire.
DESCRIPTION
Designed to be used on gauntlets, the FAE/W-11 Hybrid Gauntlet Scatterblaster - Heavy is a close-quarters weapon which takes after its sister model, the FAE/W-10. Where the FAE/W-11 differs is that it functions as an energy shotgun or a scatterblaster, scaled to the size and weight of a heavy blaster pistol.

The FAE/W-11 has many of the benefits and disadvantages that a weapon of its class might be expected to have. Of the former, its blast radius can feasibly strike multiple enemies in a single shot, should the spread be wide enough. In addition, the “spray” capability also makes it more difficult for lightsaber wielders to defend against the weapon. Pertaining to the latter, the weapon works best within a limited range, forcing the user to close the distance in order to get the most out of it.

All in all, the FAE/W-11 is hoped to break new ground in the market for gauntlet-mounted weapons, potentially establishing itself as a surprisingly powerful option for close-quarters combat!
