A brilliant fire
This has been coming for a while now.
Before any weird theories pop up, I've been thinking about this for pretty much all of 2025. I've talked to various friends across the board about it as well because I've been very on the fence about it. But I've finally decided what I want to do now.
The tl;dr is that I'm stepping down as the GA's MFO and away from being Faction staff.
I've been part of faction staff in one form or another for about 4 years now. It has been an awesome time and one I absolutely don't step away from all bitter and negative. I've helped make this Faction very successful with teams of great people, and on a personal level, I've been able to achieve some really memorable RP moments. Especially when I compare it to the 4 years of RP I did in Swtor and how little of that I value now.
That said, I don't have that same passion anymore. My posting activity might not show it, but I've been struggling with my muse, especially on the faction admin front. And the main reason is simply that I've been doing this for too long. On top of that, my RL has gotten much busier with other hobbies. I'm taking lessons with two instruments, I'm playing more sports and as of yesterday, I'm going to be coaching a women's soccer team.
Fun stuff but all of it demands time and a lot of my passion.
So what's next?
I don't plan to leave Chaos and I will likely still post a shit ton. But with more of a focus on stories I want to tell, and I do like helping folks out with Jedi threads. That won't change, but I want to leave the Faction ownership to someone who has a lot of passion for running the GA and playing the map game.
And perhaps in the future, I'll take on new projects as well. I'm always open to ideas if they grab my muse.
Thanks for all the great years and I'll see you all in the upcoming faction stories!
With my rambling out of the way, onto the more practical things.
That leaves me with one last thing. I want to personally nominate
Amelia von Sorenn
as the next MFO for the GA. She understands the map game, has ideas for the Faction and she's very passionate to continue its success.
I believe she has what it takes to keep the GA going strong, and I hope the rest of the team will be ready to assist her as well.

- The next three days, you can nominate others or yourself to become the next MFO for the GA in this thread.
- Writers must accept a nomination or they don't count.
- After the nominations, there will be a period of a week where members of the GA can vote on the next MFO.
