Every Silver Lining Has A Cloud (Commenor & Silver Jedi Order).

Atten: Silver Jedi Order, Grandmaster.
Re: The King of Commenor, Veiere Arenais.
Subject: Request for urgent assistance.

To the Grandmaster of the Silver Jedi, and/or significant persons with authority.

On behalf of the People of Commenor; I, Veiere Arenais, humbly request your assistance in a time sensitive and urgent matter. The Queen of Commenor has been lost. Her whereabouts are presently unknown and the [member="Lady Kay"] is suspected to have been taken by force, abducted while venturing outside of the Capital, Chasin City.

At present, attempts to locate her have failed. The people have not yet been informed of the severity of the matter, however civil unrest is a concern should the situation worsen. For reasons of security and possible aid in uncovering the truth in this most personal, yet too political matter, I write to you in the hope that you will agree to meet with me here at the Royal Palace of Commenor.

Respectfully,
Veiere Arenais,
King of Commenor.

Veiere sent the message with a press of a button, en-route to Kashyyyk and whoever was currently in charge of the Silver Jedi Order.

It had been quite some time since he had spoken to anyone representing the Silver Jedi. They'd been a large factor in Commenor's liberation and helped to force the Sith Empire off of Commenori land, yet today wasn't a matter of War...Veiere hoped for the sake of his World, at-least. He had written the message as best he could, both trying to be formal yet feeling as though time was closing in around him. The Queen, his Wife and Mother to his Children had been abducted and in her wake, a body left dead, awfully fitting to Kay's description.

Whilst the King had been away from their home-world settling on matters regarding the future of the Jedi at the request and invitation of [member="Coren Starchaser"], the leadership of Commenor had naturally panicked at the revelation that their Monarchy had fallen so vulnerable, the Queen missing and the King absent. Some had turned to matters of Security and tried to regain control of their own accord whilst those closest to Chasin City had headed for the Palace and sought to ascertain the whereabouts of the heirs to the throne. By the time the King had returned, their Government had been fractured as some of the ruling Lords had seen the incident as a sign of the world's final undoing, having been besieged by enemies and only just surviving by no small miracle...

Having returned, restored some semblance of Order and given assignments to those few who had kept their heads about them, Veiere had withdrawn to the Queen's office to consider the next move. In the end, with so little to go on, it would be to their Allies east of Commenor that he would turn in the hope that the Jedi might send an envoy to meet with him and assist in the matter.

Whether or not anything fruitful would come of it all, remained to be seen.

Over the glistening Chasin City, the VCX-100 light freighter Spectre Melody emerged from a puffy white cloud, gliding well over the skyscrapers and airspeeder traffic. Unassuming, it had a mostly off-white paint scheme with details of green and gray, and no visible markings to speak of. In the cockpit, pilot Cassius Droma already began to transmit clearance codes to the palace, a place he’d not been to for quite some time.

When the Silver Jedi Order had received the transmission from the King of Commenor, it was thought that discretion was best, so only a small team was being sent to ascertain the situation. Having a flotilla of Star Defenders and frigates suddenly pop into orbit around a planet growing increasingly uneasy with their current state of government wouldn’t be good for anyone, no matter what flag they were flying.

Freshly knighted, Cassius had been asked by Jedi Master Aida Aquila to accompany the small team on this mission. For one, he already had a connection to Commenor – he’d lived there for a time, and had worked with the queen in the past. Also, they needed a good pilot, like any specialized team needed. That being said, he was still apprehensive about being volunteered for this. The last time he came face-to-face with Veiere Arenais, the man had tried to cut him in two. Granted, a lot had apparently happened to the wayward king since then, so Cassius would reserve judgment until he actually saw him again.

After a brief conversation with the air traffic control for the palace, they were allowed clearance to land at a more discrete hangar bay. Settling her down, Cassius had the hint of a smile on his face as he started to turn everything into low-power defensive mode. Getting adjusted to the larger ship took no time at all.

“Alright everyone…” Cassius said, turning around in his chair and standing. “Welcome to Commenor.”

The loading ramp lowered, and they would soon set foot on Commenori soil, so to speak.

Aida closed her eyes, silently reflecting.

The past weeks had seen her settling on Kashyyyk. Aida went where it beckoned her, where it urged her to follow – she always did. The Jedi traveler had gone without question, quietly confident that the reason would be revealed in time. Aida's connection with the force was deep, and her many years had taught her to trust it well.
When the force called, she would answer.

Long had she lived this way, moving about the galaxy, never in one place long enough to form roots. There were no attachments that kept her bound, only the steady sense that she was traveling where she was most needed. Even Aida knew not when it would be time to move on. And though she had worked in the name of the Light and the Order, she had let herself grow forgotten by most. Perhaps, this time, she had stayed way too long. Now, from Kashyyyk to Commenor, she did not travel alone. A gossamer thread, slowly worked its way...

Her thoughts seemed to blend with the engine's hum. Seated placidly aboard the Spectre Melody, she might have looked much like someone that had drifted off into peaceful sleep. But, behind the stillness, there was much to keep her awake.

As Cassius announced their arrival, she opened her eyes and smiled.

Of course, Aida had volunteered to help without a thought – and Cassius had been a good sport when she had thrown his name in as well. Though, she'd sensed his hesitance... She had decided not to press the issue at the time. For, she had a feeling, things would come to make sense when they met with the King.

Lori stepped into her Mom's office, knowing that her Dad [member="Veiere Arenais"] was there. Olivia told her as much. The old Head of the House hadn't been the same since Kay's disappearance. She wasn't withdrawn she was just more...bossy. Her words were always short and directly to the point. And there was no smile in her eyes. Maybe she felt the same as everyone else did.

It was strange to see her Dad by himself in the Palace. In some ways he looked lost, but Lori knew that he was just missing her Mom, and worried too. Just like most seemed to be. "Hi Dad...You okay?" She had a few things to tell him, but now wasn't the time. Something was going on, and at the moment she didn't know what that was. She could just feel it in the air. It felt almost like the time that Caedyn was first taken from their home to go train elsewhere. There was just a strange quiet all around.

There had been a handful of people around for years on Commenor, Jairdain was one of them. Having started as the advisor of Brad, she now had gained rank and as close as ever to the royal family. Many choices had to be made about their future and when Veiere called this meeting, she was one of those invited. It made total sense to involve her. She had ties to the Silver Jedi as well from even before her days with Commenor.

Walking into the office to join Veiere and his daughter, she smiled at them and nodded just slightly. Walking over to them, she held a hand out to each of them to squeeze gently if they allowed it. Letting out a sigh, her hands lowered and rested at her sides.

"Somethings in life are never easy, my King. This is just one of them. If I had any doubt, I would say something. However, I feel this is the wisest choice to make. No matter what happens, I promise I'm not going anywhere."

Already dividing her time between Commenor and the Jedi, she travelled between the planets easily. She had homes on each world and was prepared for this course of action. Now all they had to do was wait for the Silvers invited to appear and get things moving.

There was something about the planet of Commenor that seemed to pull them back time after time, beyond any reason that Asaraa could understand. She had her own reasons for visiting Commenor regularly, but the planet was also a kind of lodestone that drew the attention of the Silver Jedi again and again. Only...today wasn't meant to be one of those times when they jedi came in with a big fanfare that so often seemed to accompany their missions, instead, today was about the small presence that you can have when you didn't want to make waves but just slip in and do the job, help out those who needed it and then slink away.

Only, today wasn't about sneaking in to help just anyone, today was about sneaking onto the planet since the King himself had asked them to arrive. Cracking her head from side to side the girl pushed herself to her feet, fingers pulling loose the harness as she paused, staring out of the window. "I'd say follow me, but last time I was here I got lost all over again so...does someone know how to get to the palace."

In, and out.

Darlyn breathed slowly, seated quietly outside an unremarkable hangar, discrete hanger bay. He wasn't a spiritual man by any means, but he couldn't deny that sitting, eyes closed, meditating was a calming experience. Not having to worry about the tumultuous storm inside for a while, it was almost something of a rare delight. If only such could be felt under better circumstances. [member="Lady Kay"] gone, taken, and having to again trust Jedi. He wasn't... as doubtful of the Silvers as he was with others, but it did not make it any easier. With some luck there would at least be one among them who knew him, at least enough to trust him.

He sensed them before they landed, disturbing his quiet meditating. Rising to his feet and dusting his robes, as the dirt from the ground had clung to the fabric. Presentable once more, with his multiple lightsabers dangling from his belt, Exar Kun's lightsaber in particular emanating its own darkness, he made his way towards the Spectre Melody where it sat. Well before he'd be in sight his, less than light presence would no doubt be felt, even if he meant no ill will. He stopped a fair ways away, leaned against a pillar, and waited. Evidently he'd be the one to lead them but, without anyone outside, even if he yelled they probably wouldn't hear him. Probably.

Whoever was in charge of the Silver Jedi?

Oh. Huh. He supposed that meant him. This was still weird to him, and he still missed Jyoti. But doing everything he could to ensure that the Assembly was running and the Order was running well in her stead... Hadn't been as horrific as he'd imagined. He'd dreaded it, when Jyoti had presented the possibility when he was first promoted to Master of the Order, but he had taken to it far better than he'd expected.

It made him reflect a fair bit on how much he'd changed since he had done this sort of thing last.

But he was happy to be of service to the Silver Jedi Order in times like this. That was what mattered the most in this instance. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, and he was still adjusting, but he enjoyed being able to do more for the Silvers. And sure, this wouldn't last forever. The Assembly would elect someone eventually. But that didn't mean he could just sit on his laurels. Whoever was elected as Grandmaster deserved to come in with an Order they could be proud to serve. Not one that was a mess or in turmoil. That was his job. And he'd decided to embrace that job.

As... Unique as this situation was, it seemed this situation fell under his job description. Lady Kay, a friend of his had disappeared and it had left Commenor in chaos. Veiere had requested for the Silver Jedi Order to aid in the search for her. Bringing the request up to the Silver Assembly, it was agreed they would send out a small team.

As the vessel piloted by [member="Cassius Droma"] would touch down, the Jedi Master would end his meditation and reflection as he would rise to his feet. With the situation, his usual snark and pepperment had been replaced with a calm, yet soft and serious demeanor. He would gaze about a moment, reaffirming the team that had been decided on. Himself, Master [member="Aida Aquila"], his former apprentice [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], and obviously the Knight Droma. They should suffice.

When Asaraa would ask if anyone knew the way to the palace, the Jedi Master would walk by her, placing a firm hand on her shoulder. "Aye" He responded calmly before speaking to the group. "Everyone, if you are not familiar with Commenor I would ask you to keep your hands and feet in the vehicle at all times, stay close so you do not get lost" He spoke, making a small attempt at dry humor but his tone made it clear he was serious about that instruction. "We will certainly have time for detours when our work is done. But for the time being I feel that our quarry would certainly appreciate if we viewed time as of the essence."

Taking the lead, Josh would exit the vessel, gazing about Commenor's surface a moment. The planet felt... Almost lifeless since the last time he had been here. The Sith Empire had caused so much pain, and he could feel it, sense it... And with all that was happening even now, he could feel tension that could be cut with a knife. Noticing the presence of [member="Darlyn Excron"] who was clearly waiting for them, Josh nodded his head and motioned for him to come along. He was there to escort them, he knew. They knew where to go, but his presence was a welcome one in times like these. Steeling himself, the Master of the Order would lead the group through the fastest path he knew to the office of Lady Kay, figuring that the King of Commenor would be there. But there seemed to be more than just that. Along with [member="Veiere Arenais"] were a few others, one he didn't recognize and one he did in [member="Jairdain"]. He was curious as to her presence, but did not speak it. Instead, he would step forward, approaching the King of Commenor as Josh would extend a hand.

"Your Highness" Josh spoke curtly, giving due respect in turn. "We're here to aid you, as much as we can."

[member="Jairdain"] - [member="Loreena Arenais"]

The Silver Jedi Order had been neighbors of Commenor for some time now, and as Jedi themselves it was natural that Veiere had been conscious of them for quite some time. His Son had certainly taking a liking to at-least one of them. [member="Loreena Arenais"] on the other-hand wasn't much in the know as to what was to be made of this day, her mind sharp, she'd picked up on the air of things and come to her Father with questions.

"I've asked the Silver Jedi to meet with us" Veiere replied, turning to look to his Daughter a moment. "I've already issued a bounty for the safe return of your Mom, but I'm not content to wait for their answer. You've met some of the Jedi recently at the moot that Master Starchaser called together". The door opened shortly there-after and [member="Jairdain"] entered into [member="Lady Kay"]'s office, only looking for the King this time.

Yes indeed, the Silver Jedi had been on Veiere's mind for quite some time now. Some things concerning not only Kay but the future safety of Commenor too. Royalty wasn't something that he had ever meant to aspire to, though through the love of a good Woman, it had certainly found him and through his position he had been able to reach out to millions. Time however had cost them and theirs had come and gone with the Systems Alliance rising into power and then eventually succumbing to the Sith Empire's growing dominance in the Galaxy.

"Commenor's never had it easy, Jair...-We've been through it, but we made the best of it while we could" Veiere smiled, though it might hold about it something of a defeated air; "Yet again my Wife's in trouble and I can't even feel her presence in the Force anymore...-We need her back and then we can think about the future" He lifted his head giving something of a half nod. He wasn't certain that his Wife would agree with the way that Veiere was seeing things, though she didn't have the experience of knowing the Order like he did either.

Er6tw3E.png
[member="Darlyn Excron"] was a good man, family to Veiere and his Children; Many people had their assumptions of him for his affinity in the Force and the Darker nature of his practices but Veiere trusted the man more so than he did most others...-Despite his consistent lecture and encouragement to lean closer to the light, these times had become something of a light hearted and playful joke, banter between the two rather than any real judgement or accusation today. All the same, it was he who had met with the Jedi much to the irony of Veiere's amusement. And they would shortly be arriving at the Royal Palace to meet with Veiere in ever a timely fashion.

"Master DragonsFlame" Veiere bowed to the group of them, though acknowledged [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] who had spoken up first. "Nice to see you again, Asaraa" Veiere soon smiled as he noted that of [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], admittedly having heard more about the Girl than he rightly had the experience of learning himself.

The last two however were met with something of a different reaction. [member="Aida Aquila"] wasn't a face Veiere was familiar with though he offered her a polite smile and welcomed her too. "Welcome to Commenor, Master's...", his gaze befell that of [member="Cassius Droma"] and his voice trailed off, fading as he found himself facing down his past...

"Hello, Cassius".

As he stepped off of the Spectre’s loading ramp and onto the floor of the hangar bay, Cassius thought about how he hadn’t been on this planet since the trial of the man they were headed to see at his very moment. Much had happened since then, and Cassius tried to put the past out of his mind, but found that he couldn’t. Already, he was recognizing faces – the man escorting them to the King was Darlyn Excron, Minister of Justice, whom he’d had a run-in with on the streets of Chasin City whilst chasing after a joyrider.

More memories than he was expecting were starting to bubble up. He did live here for a short time, after all. Not having to worry about air traffic or clearance codes any more allowed his mind to wander as he soaked up the presence of the planet again. As they made their way through various hallways and corridors, Cassius closed his eyes briefly and shook his head, trying to steel himself. Inside, he tried to keep himself calm, like a still body of water.

As they entered the Queen’s office, that body of water was disturbed ever so slightly by finally seeing Veiere once more. He took in a deep breath and held his hands behind his back, shoulders straight, his face becoming like that of a stone statue. As everyone made their introductions, Cassius took a moment to size up the other two people in the room – one looked familiar, someone he recognized from his earlier days at the Silver Jedi Order, and another that was completely foreign to him. They’d all be introduced to each other before the end of the meeting, he was sure.

Veiere turned to him and said his name, and Cassius finally made eye contact with him. As much as he tried, he couldn’t help the memories that flooded him. The contrast of the great man that had trained one of his mentors, and then the man that had tried to kill him. How would he even address this person? Cassius was at a temporary loss for words. Would it be King? Master? Just his name?

“Your Highness,” he finally spoke after a long moment, nodding to him. His voice held no malice or ill-intent, and he did a pretty ample job of suppressing his emotions.

[SIZE=11pt][member="Asaraa Vaashe"] | [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] | [member="Aida Aquila"] | [member="Veiere Arenais"] | [member="Loreena Arenais"] | [member="Jairdain"] | [member="Darlyn Excron"][/SIZE]

The Jedi Master couldn't help but smile as the young woman with pink hair, Knight Vaashe spoke about getting lost. Of course, she herself had never been to the palace, so Aida would follow along towards the back of the group, the hem of her robe sweeping behind her. As they exited the ship,

Aida's eyes shifted in the direction of a rather peculiar presence – a man with fiery red hair, and a multitude of sabers. Her brows rose ever slightly, amused. Judging by the man's position and posture as he leaned against the pillar, he was waiting for them to arrive. Her blue gaze moved on, quickly taking in the sights and sounds of Commenor as they followed along after the Master of the Order.

Curiosity rose within her, quietly stirring. Aida should have liked to see more of Commenor, but this was certainly not the time for seeing sights. Perhaps in the future she would be offered the chance to return, to learn more about this place. Her first real glimpse into this world would come in the form of a grand palace, fit for royalty. It was, she thought, very stately indeed.

As their group entered an office, they were met by a trio. The man present behind the desk, Aida presumed was their King, the one that had called them. Ever keen, Aida's heard turned to see Cassius stiffen slightly at the sight of the man. The silence between them was thick for a moment, but the young Knight returned the King's greeting politely.

Your Highness,” She echoed, “Aida Aquila, at your service...”

Her tone calm, serene even. She was still quite a new fixture for most within the Order, having returned to them after so many years on her own. It was only natural that she would be unfamiliar to the Commenori as well.

We understand the urgency of the situation,” She began, once introductions had been taken care of. “Is there any new information since you contacted us?”

She moves like she don't care
She was supposed to report to the queen directly. That was the reporting line that had been agreed upon when she first joined Commenor. She was a mercenary then, a freelancer for hire, a black operations specialist. But life always had a way to mess things up, to throw plans into chaos and to change direction. The queen was gone, she had discovered her force sensitivity and had further pledged her allegiance to the help that had just arrived to Commenor.

The blonde knew a few of the Silver Jedi by name, having went for a mission which went belly up, also known as FUBAR in military slang. [member="Cassius Droma"] and [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] were familiar faces who had been through the survival mission. [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] was the Master of the Order, so obviously his fame preceded him even though she had never officially met him, given his busy time away from the Temple. [member="Aida Aquila"] was new. On the flip side, she knew [member="Darlyn Excron"] as the opposing force from a wargaming session on Thakosia and [member="Jairdain"] because she was close to the royalty.

Mariya spoke nothing so far. With the queen gone, her reporting line had changed to [member="Veiere Arenais"], the king himself. Her job for now was security and watching over his precious. That meant [member="Loreena Arenais"], the princess who resembled Kay from certain angles.

"Greetings, fellow Masters and Knights."

She bowed and started handing over a couple of holopads to the Jedi who had arrived containing the last known whereabouts of the queen.

"Sources claimed that the queen was last sighted in a security feed from a club. The footage can be found in the holopad. We have yet to determine if the security footage is real or mere holocamera tricks designed as a red herring."

[member="Cassius Droma"] kept himself in check, though the sight of the man had held an obvious affect over Veiere in that the King hadn't expected to come so face to face with the vile mistakes of his past. "Thank you for coming..." Veiere said to both he and his peers, following [member="Aida Aquila"]'s introduction and interest on the investigation's progress. The last thing that Veiere needed right now was to be thrown head-first back into his guilt only so soon after Coren had managed to pry the former Jedi back out onto the surface of his deep-seated self-hatred of himself. The memories those that he contended with in every night, with or without the company of his wife.

Between Cassius and Veiere, there would need to come time for words...-Though the King did not expect to be forgiven for his crimes against life, the Force and the Jedi of Deneba that had followed him and looked to him for guidance...

"That may, or may not be Kay's Clone..."

Veiere spoke up in response to [member="Mariya Fleischer"]. "As it turns out, thanks to [member="Darlyn Excron"]'s assistance in the investigation, it would appear that my Wife has had a duplicate for quite some time..." Veiere gave the Jedi a look that suggested he had held no idea on the matter what-so-ever, until recently. "This appears to have been the person killed, in an attempt to cover up my Wife's abduction".

"Darlyn has been at the head of the case, our Minister of Justice, he is best able to relay the details to you all; but in short...-We have no idea where the [member="Lady Kay"] is now".

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"] | [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] | [member="Aida Aquila"] | [member="Cassius Droma"] | [member="Loreena Arenais"] | [member="Jairdain"] | [member="Darlyn Excron"]

Darlyn had been sent out to greet the Silvers and she almost felt like planting her face in her palm. Yes, he might be the Minister of Security, but she didn't feel his rather blunt darkness was the best choice to bring them in. The choice had already been made though and he would bring them to the Palace.

While they waited, there was a bit of talk between them. Veiere provided an answer to his daughter and then gave her some thoughts on what she had said.

"We will find Lady Kay and Brad. Someway, somehow..."

Soon enough the envoy arrived and Jairdain couldn't help but have a large and friendly smile for probably her best friend. The situation might be serious, but she and Asaraa went back a long time. There was also a respective nod to Master DragonsFlame and the others that came along.

She had once briefly met Cassius but had never had any real chance to interact with him. At the time, he had been escorting a shuttle in the middle of a battle from one ship to another. He then went back to doing what he been before...whatever that was. Aida, she had never met before, but still treated her with respect.

Hellos were said and business was started. Listening to the question asked and the answer given by Mariya, Jairdain was silent. Not yet having any advice to give, she kept her counsel to herself.

[member="Mariya Fleischer"] [member="Aida Aquila"] [member="Cassius Droma"] [member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Darlyn Excron"] [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] [member="Loreena Arenais"]

Lori nodded a little. Things must be REALLY bad if [member="Veiere Arenais"] was calling in the Silvers, on top of placing a bounty. For once she wasn't a blabbermouth. For once she was more subdued, keeping her thoughts to herself. This wasn't a brainstorming session. She wasn't even asked to come. She had just felt a tug, in the Force probably and she had felt compelled to see what was going on.

She was glad to have [member="Jairdain"] there at least. Her words and touch were greatly appreciated. And to hear about Uncle [member="Darlyn Excron"] still being on top of things was also good news. "We'll find her...somehow." That was about all that she could muster at the moment.

Soon the Silvers entered the office. Lori recognized only [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] and of course Snotface's girlfriend @Asaara Vaashe . She gave them a small smile and then turned her attention to the slight tension in the air between her Dad and [member="Cassius Droma"] . Hmm. That was something to look into later.

Lori kept her hands in her pockets to keep herself from fidgeting while the adults talked.

[member="Mariya Fleischer"] @Aida Aquilla
