STRENGTHS

• EXTENDABLE WINGS: While they are not necessary for operation, the Goliath can "spread her wings" in a manner of speaking and provide the stability capable of making this troop carrier stronger than ships almost twice her size.
• WELL DEFENDED: The armor, and shield systems give the Goliath a fighting chance to go into "the soup" and come out on the ground, or out of a blockade and get the payload safely to the destination.
• "LIBERATION": The Liberation Class carrier is meant to play multiple roles, including a very large contingent of Marines. "The Goliath" can serve to ease any Marine Deployments.

WEAKNESSES

• EXTENDABLE WINGS: While the wings provide added stability and capability of holding more troops/cargo, they provide an exponentially larger target.
• SQUADRON SPACE: It is practically required to carry a squadron of fighters and cannot launch on the fly. The transport must convert to "hover" to unleash fighters.

DESCRIPTION
This came about thanks to the OCD nature of Liram Angellus. Wanting to constantly improve upon designs, the Marine Transport "Goliath" is not meant for combat but will "tank" down to the target location and deploy the payload quite effectively, or conversely exfil. Capable of docking with carriers or traveling through hyperspace on its own, the transport is quite the capable ship.
