STRENGTHS

• Rugged and Reliable - Machined with high tolerances and loose clearances as well as a bevy features meant to augment these the rifle is extremely rugged and reliable
• Modularity - Like the factory variant, Esmeralda’s ACR-01 is a highly modular rifle. Its rails can mount a variety of attachments, allowing it to be outfitted for a variety of engagements.
• Man Stopper - Esmeralda’s ACR-01 chambers a massively oversized round for a weapon of its class. As such, it hits hard in nearly all circumstances, with enough damage potential to put down many types of targets.
• Laser Beam - In spite of its large caliber, Esmeralda’s ACR-01 almost entirely lacks recoil due to an anti-recoil repulsor system and condensed-matter composite integrated into the weapon’s construction to minimize vibrations, making the rifle quite easy for her to control.

WEAKNESSES

• Limited Capacity - The main downside with any slugthrower when compared to contemporary blasters is their usually limited ammunition capacity
• Ammunition Weight - Pound for pound, energy weapons are generally more efficient than slugthrowers. Unfortunately, Esmeralda’s ACR-01 is no exception to this. Magazines are larger and heavier than power cells, limiting how many can be carried.
• Stretched Thin - The ACR-01 is extremely versatile and can fit into a wide variety of roles with its modular design it doesn't excel in any of them and is rather average in each one
• EMP/Ion - Esmeralda has added a bevy of electronic subsystems to the rifle, including a few to aid in controlling the weapons recoil. EMP/Ion-base assaults can knock these subsystems, thereby making the weapon marginally more difficult to control, in addition to disabling the electronic targeting aids.

DESCRIPTION
Finding that she enjoyed the pure sensation of a slugthrower over that of a blaster, Esmeralda went out of her way to obtain a similar, yet more powerful weapon after getting some use out of the FR-01. She decided to purchase an ACR-01, among other weapons, from Hekler’Kok, finding the company’s weapons to be reliable and robust. In modifying the weapon to suit her preferences, first being the ergonomics to better fit her small stature, along with other minor adjustments.

From there, Esmeralda made a number of more significant alterations, including the addition of a variety of systems and features to lower recoil, a barrel chambered for the most powerful round compatible with the rifle, and the mounting of an advanced, computerized scope.

Upon finishing the modifications, Esmeralda pored over her work, testing its lethality over more than few sessions at the firing range and making adjustments where needed. Then, finding the design to be satisfactory, the weapon gained a permanent place in her personal armory, to one day be set against the increasingly long list of House Io’s enemies...
