  • Extremely Versatile: The ACR-01 is an extremely versatile weapon, being able to swap between barrel lengths and cartridge types to better fit each situation it finds itself in
  • Man Stopper: While most of the cartridges the ACR-01 can use only offer average or above average it can chamber a few that are known for their large amount of stopping power
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited Capacity: The main downside with any slugthrower when compared to contemporary blasters is their usually limited ammunition capacity
  • Takes Time: While not a too in depth process it still takes time to switch between the ACR-01's different cartridges, having to adjust the bolt carrier group and swap the magazine well and barrel
  • Stretched Thin: The ACR-01 is extremely versatile and can fit into a wide variety of roles with its modular design it doesn't excel in any of them and is rather average in each one
DESCRIPTION
With a wide variety of rather simple and cheap products the Hekler'Kok design team began work on a more advanced set of weapons that they could market and sell to a more discerning clientele. The first on this list of weapons was a combat rifle they dubbed the 'Advanced Combat Rifle Model-01'.

As with always the team began with choosing the exact nature of the design. They decided that as a part of the weapons advanced nature they would make it modular with it being able to switch between various cartridges and therefore various stopping powers to suit the situation.

From there they moved onto their second step, choosing the materials the weapon would be constructed from. A special Aluminum-Alusteel alloy was used for the rifles receiver, grip, stock and hanguard due to it being both lightweight and durable. The internal mechanisms were constructed out of Quadanium Steel due to its high durability. The barrel was made out of Dallorian Alloy to reduce overheating and was lined with Chromium to reduce damage to it. Lastly the entire rifle was plated with Hekler'Kok's patented CeramiCoat to reduce wear and tear to the outside of the rifle.

Lastly the team began installing the features to enhance the rifle further. Firstly they added in a set of ambidextrous controls including fire selector, magazine and bolt release and charging handle. Each ACR-01 also is shipped with four attachments included, a combined ammunition display/variable zoom optic, a gas block protective/locking sleeve and a adjustable weaponlight. An adjustable ejection port allows the cartridges to be ejected from either side to better suit the shooter. An adjustable gas piston and bolt carrier group allow the shooter to adjust the rifle based on the cartridge selected.

The ACR-01 borrows the same short stroke gas piston that the AR-01 uses, modified of course to fit its modular design. They included an ion-bonded bolt carrier group for its durability, ease of maintenance and optimal operation in adverse conditions. A quick change barrel allows the different caliber barrels to easily be swapped, the barrel is also threaded to allow use of accessories such as suppressors, muzzle brakes, etc. They re-used the recoil buffer system from the AR-01, including not one but two of the buffers to absorb more recoil.

A flared magazine well allows for smoother, and therefore faster, reloads. Finally they topped the rifle off with a set of rails: one on top for optics, two on the side for accessories such as laser sights and weaponlights, and one on the bottom for foregrips and underbarrel weapons.
